Takumi Köln - Japanisches Ramen Restaurant in Köln

Unfortunately, the food arrived already 4 min after we order and it taste like pre cooked food. The experience we have made at Takumi Düsseldorf were completely different.

Solid, average food, unfortunately hardly any vegan options, inattentive and very unfriendly service, which, considering the perfectly adequate tip, was unfortunately quite dismissive. Overall, the price-performance ratio of the food and service was not particularly convincing.

Unfortunately, I found the staff very unfriendly. It seemed as if guests were being rushed to eat quickly and leave the restaurant. In comparison, the other Takumi Chicken branch is significantly better and feels more authentic.

I am amazed how tasty and good looking food can be. Very nice atmosphere, staff is helpful and answer every question with respect to everyone. Cool experience, you have to try as well. Highly recommend

I was somewhat disappointed with the food, especially considering the price. It was my first time eating Msliso Ramen, but it didn't motivate me to order it again.

I love going there on winter days to warm up and eat a delicious bowl of ramen. The best in Cologne!

Takumi is a good option for authentic ramen in any city. Not the best ramen I've ever eaten, but tasty and authentic.

The food was a 9 out of 10 for Germany... The ramen was good. The atmosphere and noise level could be improved.

So far, this is the best ramen place I have come across in Europe. I ordered ramen and gyoza and it was perfect! Aside from the amazing flavours, the restaurant was cosy and trendy. My only complaint was that the night staff were a little surly. They kind of had an off-putting 'eat and get out' vibe. The day staff did not feel this way and were very kind and friendly. Either way, I will say I loved the food so much and will go back if I'm ever in Cologne again!

First of all, I recommend this restaurant. I’ve had a lot of Japanese-style udon in my life, and I ordered udon again here — but it has a different character from typical Japanese udon. It has a flavor reminiscent of Korean janchi-guksu or even a hint of fish sauce. The Asian-style aroma is quite strong, but it’s actually very tasty. The toppings, in particular, are fantastic — they’re so good that even five stars don’t feel enough just for those alone.

It tastes good, but the portion isn’t enough for me. I also ordered Dumpling and Rice.

Everything was okay; we weren't thrilled, but we weren't disappointed either. So, all in all, it was fine. The ambiance is functional, but I missed the cozy atmosphere. The service was friendly; there's really nothing to complain about. But something was missing. Looking back, we only ate a meal there, and it didn't spark anything that would make us want to come back.

Delicious ramen soups, but also other Far Eastern Japanese delicacies! Friendly staff! Definitely worth a visit, but there's still room for improvement! All in all - recommended.

We visited this restaurant today with our family, and saying the food was excellent would be an understatement — it was absolutely outstanding! The cherry on top was our waitress, Solomiia. Her service was wonderful — friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. She helped each of us choose the perfect dish, and everything was spot-on. We will definitely come back the next time we are in Köln

To save true ramen fans from bitter disappointment, like all the other Takumi branches in Cologne, neither the quality of the ingredients nor the timing of the preparation is right; the food is cold, uninspired, and poorly seasoned. The Cologne branches are significantly worse than the main restaurants in Düsseldorf… Unfortunately, quantity over quality.

Very tasty and never disappoints, homemade iced teas are also very good. Unfortunately, it's quite expensive, but the price-performance ratio is good.

We didn't think anything of it on a Monday and went there as a group of seven. There wasn't enough room for seven people. But soon some guests were moved to other seats and we were able to have a very tasty dinner.

If you're missing ramen, this place isn't bad for the price and quality. However, there are other ramen restaurants with better ramen.

The ramen was generally quite tasty, but nothing special. I would have liked more vegetarian and vegan options so I could have found something suitable there as well. The noodles are also very artificially colored yellow. I prefer something more natural. Service was mediocre; orders were taken, but nothing more. Payment was not made at the table. The atmosphere was so-so, as the tables were very close together.

Hello everyone, We went there for lunch because of the many positive reviews. Unfortunately, to our disappointment, we got a lunch where the pasta wasn't even cooked al dente, and the base was less than lukewarm. With so many reviews, I expect at least a warm base from a lunch. Unfortunately, I definitely wouldn't recommend it. Sorry.

I don't recommend this place. We were fooled by the reviews. The service was nice and quick, I have to say, but because the ramen arrived so quickly, it was lukewarm and undercooked. Some of the toppings and the egg were ice cold. The ramen noodles aren't homemade. It feels like they don't put any love into the food and just throw leftovers from the day before into the dishes. We paid €20 for the ramen bowl and €3.80 for a 0.3ml Coke Zero, a real shame. The price-performance ratio is a flop.

The food is good but the service is deplorable, we almost feel like we're bothering. A restaurant is supposed to be welcoming, a place where we like to eat, not a place where we feel like we're bothering.

I placed my order at 7:08 PM on October 18, 2025. The latest delivery date was 8:40 PM, but the scheduled delivery time was approximately 8:00 PM. The delivery was at 9:15 PM. Especially since the food was damaged. I was told by phone at 8:35 PM that there was no order. Obviously a lie. We assumed the food wasn't coming and ordered something else. I'm curious to see if I'll get my money back.

The food was okay. The seaweed salad didn't taste very fresh, and the meat was very fatty. However, the food arrived very quickly, and the service was impeccable.

I had the impression that the restaurant opened too early and the setup wasn't quite perfected yet. The drink selection was very limited; for example, there was no beer, only a simple apple spritzer. This suggests that the delivery logistics aren't yet finalized. The kitchen was visibly overloaded, which led to extremely long wait times of up to 90 minutes (for four people). The service also seemed inflexible (e.g., when pushing tables together). The concept with the integrated bubble tea shop is a matter of taste and, in my opinion, doesn't fit the restaurant perfectly. On the plus side, the ramen was very tasty! Once the team here is more integrated, this Takumi store will have great potential, as it offers something special in Cologne.

Four of us came with our young children, ages 3 and 5. The restaurant was almost completely empty. First, I had to spend five minutes explaining that small children can't sit on adult high chairs. And then the staff refused to provide comfortable sofas in the corner, telling us to sit on chairs in the aisle. After about a five-minute discussion with the staff, we left. This is the second time this has happened to me—never again!

Always very crowded, but rightly so. In my opinion, the best ramen in Cologne. Relatively expensive, but definitely still normal prices for Cologne (and they offer a stamp card).

The vegan curry is absolutely delicious. I have eaten that twice. Last time I went this was not available. I chose a veggie miso ramen. This was a bit bland and tasteless and I wouldn't order it again. The service is good. The staff are extremely polite and the food arrives really quickly. As you pay at the counter, there is no sitting around when you've finished your meal and are ready to go. The final point I would add - no music - or it was very quiet. I found this very refreshing. You can talk to your dining companion/s and there is never any need to raise your voice : )

We always enjoy the food. Since Takumi offers delivery, we can often enjoy the food at home.

Honest review from a Japan, Ramen lover: I ordered a ramen without pork but with chicken – however, it was served without any meat. The chicken was added afterward, but also charged extra, without informing me about the additional cost in advance. As a result, my meal became unnecessarily expensive and, sadly, was suprisingly disappointing in taste. Since my chicken was a side dish chicken, and not chicken added to my ramen as wished it dient really added to the taste of my ramen. As there are ramen with chicken for less of a price. To be honest, my instant noodle soup for €1–2 actually tastes better – something I really didn’t expect. It definitely won’t be my last noodle soup, but it will be my last one from this place. The definite reason why I won’t give this place a second chance: Friendly faces don't automatically mean good service – and unfortunately, that became clear again today. Writing this I m eating my instant noodle soup just after the restaurant. Not joking, says it all...

A very nice place for a quiet meal. The place has a really nice Japanese-style decor. I honestly liked it a lot. When you pay, they give you a card with which they seal some bowls, and if you get 10, you get something free. I really liked the idea.

We came here after seeing raving reviews. Ramen was decent and generally good, but felt that the broth was slightly diluted and could be a little thicker. Usually from where we’re from (Singapore), the Japanese ramen store provide a selection on the ‘thickness’ of broth. Because I think every individual has their own preference. Perhaps this would be a good practice to adopt as well. Service could be better though. The servers didn’t seem so happy when serving the foods/ when asking for the bill. I do see similar reviews here as well. I think this is slightly sad because it doesn’t embody the Japanese culture where the people are very courteous and polite. Even if the servers are Chinese (we know because we are also Chinese), the service standard is always high in China and Singapore. I do hope that you would represent us better 🙏🏻

Very tasty and great restaurant

Definitely not worth it. Taste of soup was mediocre. Actually doubt it is Japanese owned. I saw the owner talking to the management staff. They were speaking Mandarin Chinese. No wonder it didn't tasted authentic. I even asked for Shichimi Japanese chilli seasoning and they don't even have it ? How can you not have that in a Japanese Ramen restaurant ? I don't not recommend.

The table was sticky, the menu was sticky, the food was hot, but tasteless. Typical fast food.

Every part of the meal seems to be pre-prepared. Karage has a strong smell of oil. Taste is lame but regarding the price it’s just not worth the price.

The ramen itself was very tasty! The service was okay, though it felt like the guy serving us really didn’t want to be there 😂.

We just ate at this restaurant because we like going there. We ordered two ramen and a drink, but they only served one. We asked another waitress about it, but she asked if we wanted to order another. This confused us, as we had already ordered two ramen, so we said no. We waited for a long time, but nothing came by the time I finished my meal. When paying, I first confirmed with the manager how many orders were entered in the system, and he said only one. I also told him that we didn't even get an apology from the waitress or anything else until we left. Overall, we found the customer service in this case somewhat unprofessional.

I thought about whether to write this for a while – now I'm going to. On my last visit to the restaurant, two women were sitting at the next table. They were directly opposite the cash register, maybe a good meter away. One of them was wearing a white T-shirt and had a curvier figure. The man at the cash register – presumably the manager – and an employee started talking about the customer's body. Apparently, they both assumed no one understood Chinese. Right at the cash register, they loudly commented on the woman's breasts and on "who would like a body like that." That was extremely uncomfortable and downright disrespectful – to the customers in general and especially to women. This kind of behavior has no place in a restaurant.

I ordered the Karaage & Gyoza Ramen and absolutely loved them. The broth was very flavorful, and the extra garlic made it even better. The staff was also very friendly and helpful with any questions I had. I highly recommend it!

You can watch the ramen being made, from the noodle dough to the finished ramen! Legit, the best ramen I've ever had (I had the vegan miso ramen).

During our visit to Cologne, we discovered the Takumi Ramen Restaurant and were absolutely thrilled! The dishes were incredibly delicious, fresh, and authentically prepared – a true taste experience. We were particularly impressed by the very friendly and attentive staff in the evening, who created a pleasant atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would gladly return if we have the chance. Highly recommended!

I've eaten here a dozen times, and it's still very good. The ramen here is super delicious, practically no matter which one you choose. I highly recommend karaage. This was my first time trying karaage, and it's still my favorite—even though I've enjoyed homemade karaage several times in Japan, from snack bar to restaurant. It's not cheap, but it's still highly recommended for anyone who's new to it.

During the meal, an alarm clock from the open kitchen rang continuously for minutes, which was very annoying. While the food was delicious, I've had much more intense and flavorful ramen and gyoza, especially for the price, it was unfortunately not worth it.

I was so looking forward to my ramen after work, and I know how much you just want to close the door after a hard shift, so I immediately asked if I could have another soup. I arrived at 9:10 PM and was greeted so unfriendly, so heartlessly placed in one of the most uncomfortable seats, and looked up and down. The front of the place was still full, and I immediately ordered my soup after moving to the front. The lady had her eyes on me and the corners of her mouth that were so unfriendly and could hardly wait to take my plate away from me after I'd finished eating in front of the other customers so I could leave. Unfortunately, the boss wasn't there, so I explained the situation to my colleague and told him I would never set foot there again and that I wouldn't leave a single cent in tips, because I know what it's like to be a restaurateur. If the boss isn't careful, the woman will ruin the place. Scaring away a customer is like wildfire.

Good ramen for German standards. The broth was instant and not fully authentic. It does not justify the price for a 19.20€ ramen bowl 😳. Friendly service but better places in town.
