Takumi Köln - Japanisches Ramen Restaurant in Köln

Very tasty food and super quick preparation. I'll definitely be back!

Takumi is a solid address for good ramen, but the situation in the evening (without a reservation) is very difficult. We waited about 15-20 minutes until we had a seat. In addition to the ramen (number 13A, which was unfortunately quite salty due to the strong, tasty broth), we also had number 70, which included karaage, which was very juicy but also crispy at the same time. Within number 70 there is also fried gyoza and rice - both were ok. We also had tasty edamame. What was negative was that number 70 came first, about 5 minutes later the ramen and lastly the edamame. Of course, it wasn't immediately possible to eat together. Afterwards we ate the ice cream (green tea and sesame). Both types of ice cream were very tasty. The toilet situation for women was negative: a single toilet (also a disabled toilet) for all women, while for men there were two urinals and two toilets and women regularly queued.

Super tasty, of course always a bit crowded at peak times but it's worth it!

When I'm looking for an official ramen, I come to Takumi on Kölner Ring. Fast, good selection, authentic cuisine. There were also Japanese people sitting next to me.

If you love ramen, you have to go to Takumi. The cheapest portion starts at €11. And that will definitely fill you up. There are numerous toppings available upon request. Vegetarian options are also there.

Ramen habe ich schon viele gegessen, von USA bis Asien. Dieses hier war mit Abstand das Schlechteste. Müde Ingedienzien, fader Geschmack. Irgendwie soll diese Kette ein wahrhafter Ramen-Meister gegründet haben. Der muss aber schon längere Zeit nicht mehr in Köln gewesen sein....

Ordered food via Uber The food arrived cold, the gyozas were stuck together and there were neither sauces for the gyozas nor cutlery. I think it's a cheek to charge almost €70 for cold food that isn't even complete. Something like that makes me angry because I'm almost 1 I waited an hour for it and now it took almost an hour for my edible food... I will never order again and anyone who plans to do so should think carefully about it

I had high hopes for this restaurant as the reviews so far sounded really promising. Unfortunately we were bitterly disappointed. The food was okay, but no better than any other ramen place. Nothing that would justify the hype. The worst thing, however, was the situation with our table: we were seated in a narrow corner, which in itself was uncomfortable. But when we sat down, we made a really disgusting discovery: there were two small piles of feces behind the pillows! Yes, you read that right – KOT. How something like this can be overlooked is a mystery to me and shows that hygiene is obviously not a priority here. That was an absolute disgrace and definitely my last visit to this restaurant.

As always delicious. I had the surf and turf ramen. The spiciness was perfectly fine, if you like a lot of spiciness you might find it not enough. Due to a lack of vocabulary, the waitress couldn't answer whether there were oranges on the iced tea (yes, there was a slice on it).

Takumi is one of my favorite restaurants in Cologne. I've been here a few times and the ramen is always incredibly tasty and definitely fills you up. The starters like gyoza, tofu, rice, beans are all also recommended. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is nice. It's a little restless there, but that doesn't bother you. I will definitely come back here again and again.

Very tasty authentic food, the homemade iced tea is really recommended! We had teriyaki ramen and gyoza karaage ramen. The noodles were al dente and had a pleasant taste of their own, the soup was spicy but not overpowering - the high noise level would have been okay if a loud alarm clock hadn't constantly rung every minute, hence deducting one star. Edit: Went there again today with Tantan Karaage Ramen, Gyoza, the new Special Ramen and Karaage - although very full as always, there was very fast service, very good food and the alarm only sounded briefly once. Really a significant improvement <3

Items 60 and 71, very good food and fresh. Chicken in teriyaki sauce is very good and delicate. The only downside is the impossibility of reserving tables.

Friendly and fast service. The ramen came super quickly and was very tasty. We had the two spicy versions. Both were very good, not too spicy but deliciously seasoned, fresh and very authentic.

Review for Takumi Cologne I went to Takumi with my brother today and I have to say the food was really delicious. We paid around 40 euros in total, which was a little more, but the quality was good. The decor is inviting and with the dimmed lights you could enjoy lunch in a very cozy atmosphere. A small negative point: It's a bit annoying that I have to write this post for the second time to get the gift at the checkout. Actually my brother should deserve one too since we were here together. The service was great! At our request, we were even assigned a new place. All in all, I'm full and excited to come back.

Food 6.5/10. This has to be the least popular Takumi Ramen restaurant. The gyoza dumplings had almost no filling, the ramen was ok, nothing special.

I really have to say that I was a bit skeptical at first because my friend had already been to Japan and was able to try the authentic food there. He often bombarded me with stories about the incredible flavors and special atmosphere in the restaurants in Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto - and honestly, who could keep up? But then we came here and my doubts were literally blown away. As soon as you entered the restaurant you could feel the attention to detail: from the warm, inviting atmosphere to the perfectly arranged tables. It almost felt like someone had brought a piece of Japan here. The smell from the kitchen? A poem. We could literally smell the freshness and quality of the ingredients. My friend, who, as I said, has already been to Japan (and has been a bit fussy about Japanese food ever since), literally said at the first bite: "Wow, this could be served in Tokyo." That's a huge compliment because he usually always has a critical eye when something is “almost” as good. But here? It was like a culinary trip back to Japan. The sushi selection was simply amazing - the freshness of the fish, the perfectly seasoned rice bound with the right consistency and the incredible presentation blew us away. The salmon in particular was so tender it melted in your mouth, and the tuna had that perfect, buttery texture that's hard to find. And the tamago (Japanese omelet) – oh my god, that was a sweet little taste explosion. But it wasn't just the sushi that was outstanding. The ramen was simply amazing: the broth was so flavorful and had that depth that you can only get from simmering for hours, the noodles had just the right amount of crunch, and the toppings were just on point. My friend even said that the ramen reminded him of a small shop in Fukuoka that is famous for its tonkotsu broth. But the best part was that the staff here was so friendly and attentive. You really felt welcome and that they take pride in what they serve. And they should be – because the food here is a true homage to Japanese cuisine. If I had to sum it up: My friend has been to Japan and ate the best of the best there. But here? The food here was at least as good. Maybe even a little bit better because you could enjoy it in such a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. So if you're looking for authentic Japanese food that rivals the real Japan, this is the place for you. Thank you for this incredible experience – we will definitely be back! I hope the review is detailed enough!

If you like bad ramen I recommend it. Nothing fresh. The soup has no taste, Noodles hard and egg hard-boiled. Japanese would be offended.

Friendly staff and delicious food.

Just had Ramen for lunch! The cost is 19.50 € for a minute - I enter the beautiful hall of the establishment - the waiter meets me and asks: Take it with you or here! I am in charge of the establishment. Then she asks whether you are alone or with a group... At that moment I sit down at the table I liked near the window since there is no one! And I answer: myself. This is where the fun begins! I have never seen such rednecks before... This table is for company, but since you are alone in another room? I'm like what? I think, well, ok... I wanted to eat and the weather wasn’t great enough to look for another place, although as it turned out, another restaurant opened opposite where there is no shortage of panoramic windows... Well, in general, I go into another room, there are 6-7 tables for two people near the kitchen and - the atmosphere, to be honest, is very uncomfortable, the chairs are close to each other, there are sofas... SORRY, I order ramen for 20 € and they seat me like at a STATION into the hall despite the fact that the whole luxurious hall was empty... But I wanted to eat and agreed. Dish: tasty, nothing unusual, but nothing superfluous. 4 stars out of five, although the cost of such a dish in other similar establishments in Cologne Center is 5 euros lower, so I give it 3. When the main hall came out, it filled up a little and there was only 1 person sitting at the table. That is, some kind of personal disdain for clients. The department is overzealous and treats customers terribly. One business - the establishment has no soul. Thanks everyone. I don't recommend this establishment.

WORST RAMEN EVER! The reviews are misleading because people come here who have no knowledge of ramen. The ramen was anything but homemade or tasty. The noodles were not cooked properly, the meat was tough, broth had no taste, like it was instant noodles and the egg was hard boiled. Service was fast but not friendly, we were asked 0 times if it tasted good and the man was curt when paying. So I do NOT recommend going here! Really a waste of your money!

Unfortunately I can't understand the reviews. Long waiting times. When you got to the table, no one came. We often saw several employees just walking around. When we called one over, she took our order. I ordered extra vegetables with my ramen and my sister had the same dish only without extra vegetables. The only thing that was extra was some iceberg lettuce 😅 (see also photo below). You then pay extra money for that… The meat (chicken) was also very slimy and not freshly prepared. The noodles were dry. I have often visited Takumi in Dortmund and Düsseldorf and have been very satisfied so far. Unfortunately, this store can't keep up.

It was very full, expect a 20 minute wait. Food very tasty. If it's full, tables will only be allocated to full capacity, so you might have to wait longer if you're two people. But the wait is worth it!

I didn't remember the Takumi from Düsseldorf on Immermannstrasse as being so mediocre: watery broth with instant noodles and a slice of pork through which you can read the newspaper. Material value with electricity does not exceed 2 euros. Disappointing.

I've been to various Japanese cities and the last time I ate ramen was in Seoul. These are in no way inferior to any of them! Delicious!!!

There are just a few 1 star ratings here but I've read through them laughing my a** off. I love it here and it's my go-to Ramen of choice. I would love to comment some of these reviews how German some customers act. Best thing I've read was someone openly admit that he just sat down somewhere without asking and been handled rude. love it

“Reservation not possible”, then please take the information out, thank you. Ramen is otherwise quite nice, price performance is a bit salty and service sometimes leaves a lot to be desired. A textile freshener or boxes for the clothes/jacket would be desirable, after a visit you always smell of what you ate...

Good crisp selection of ramen, dons and appetizers. Great price. Unfortunately no tonkotsu broth but the miso broth still has a good taste. The Teriyaki Chicken is incredibly tender and delicious. I had Surf & Turf Miso Ramen and thought it was great. There are enough costuming options. AND green tea was delicious. Rarely have I had such a tasty tea without bitter notes.

There were several mishaps with the orders but everything was sorted out. Great food :)
