I ordered spicy noodle soup with minced meat, spicy chicken and, as dessert, dorayaki mochi ice cream. Everything was brought to the table promptly by the friendly staff. The taste was very good, regardless of the fact that we were “just” sitting in a bar/fast food restaurant. And this is exactly where the rub lies when it comes to awarding stars. If the hygiene was top notch (at restaurant level) I would give it 5 stars. But the ceramics section was in poor condition and the floor was sticky. Price-performance ratio fits. With small efforts, those responsible can ensure even better ratings. We'll be back

While looking for a good ramen bar in Cologne, I finally found it. Been there for the second time and wasn't disappointed. Starting with the small starters: the kimchi tastes fantastic, you can't go wrong with the gyoza and edamame - they taste good. The Chige Ramen blew my socks off, I recommend getting Chashu and Ni Tamago for 2.50. The staff are very friendly and everyone deserves high praise. Edit: still, in my opinion, the best ramen bar in Cologne

I'm not a ramen expert, but I eat ramen very regularly in various shops in Berlin. Was now in Cologne and wanted to test this store. We had imo mochi and agedashi tofu as appetizers. The former was very tasty and the latter was actually really good. Then we had Shoyu Ramen, which was also very, very tasty. In terms of approach, quality over quantity applies here. Few elements and really well prepared. I personally always like it very much. Karin draft beer is also rare and is a really good beer (very mild, very drinkable). Service super friendly and fast (sometimes only English). It was fun, gladly again!

Absolutely the best restaurant ever

We really like the Ramen Bar (or the food) and were there for the first time recently and then a second time two weeks later :-) The soups are large and really rich, so it doesn't matter if you can order various toppings for an additional charge - especially since the prices are really very fair. Before the miso ramen we had various snacks such as kimchi, edamame and gyoza and left really well-filled for EUR 25.00 per person. Only the karaage wasn't my thing, so I simply won't be ordering it again. Certainly the atmosphere is certainly not the coziest, I had heard a lot about it before my first visit - I didn't find it that uncomfortable at all. Above all, you have enough space. Payment is made at the bar. Japanese magazines are available.

A great ramen restaurant in Cologne. Maybe even the best? The ramen always tastes fantastic and there is a large selection of common ramen dishes with meat and a vegetarian version. We always enjoy coming to the branches in Cologne and Düsseldorf.

Took me right back to the Japanese suburbs. Best Ramen in Cologne by a mile. I highly recommend the Tantan Men. They have fairly priced lunch deals as well.

It tastes very good and authentic! The employees are also super nice~ Unfortunately, the ramen portions are very small for the price, which means you won't get full for your €16+ per ramen.

Fantastic food I will come again

We had a very good vegan ramen, which is not easy to find, so we were very happy. At the same time Kotteri Ramen from Special menu was a bit of disappointment - it has a lot of oil floating on the top of the broth, impossible to eat. Looks like it was added after the dish was cocked...

My favorite Japanese restaurant in Cologne. Have tried a lot, but Takezo is the best for me. I tried almost the full menu and can recommend everything I tried. All this is topped with great and friendly service.

All the service staff are very nice, the atmosphere is okay, like a snack bar. The soups were always really tasty, but the last two times we weren't satisfied and had the feeling that we were saving money somewhere.

I LOVE the vegan options - I just wish there were more. I also wish I could order extra mushrooms or vegan meat options. The tapas are great too!

After surviving two days of stomach chaos, I needed a meal that could restore my faith in food — and Ramen Bar Takezo delivered. The broth? Liquid gold. The pork belly? So tender I almost cried. And the butter on top? Pure genius. On top of that, the service was super quick and the staff were genuinely friendly — you can tell they care about both the food and the people eating it. If you need a bowl of ramen that will comfort your soul and your stomach at the same time, this is the place. Consider me a loyal fan — I’d fly back to Cologne just for this.

The food was great, but with the White TanTan Ramen they skimped on the minced meat. A bit disappointing for the price. The Chashu Don was convincing in this respect.

At some point, the smell of fried garlic or fried onions became too strong, and I couldn't help but feel that the flavor of the soup was drowned out by their taste and smell, which is a shame.

That was a major disappointment. Tables were untidy, the floor slippery from grease and dirt. That on Saturday, at noon, short after opening, is not acceptable. The overall atmosphere of the place is rather rushed and unpersonal, surely more that of a fast food than of a restaurant. Menu choices are your average ramen place. Service was really slow and although there were about 3 waiters and roughly 10 to 12 people working at the counter & kitchen, everyone seemed overwhelmed by a mere 10 people in the guestroom. We ordered three small dishes and one Chige Ramen. Taste was OK, but from entering the place until we got half of the dishes it took 45 minutes. The Ramen had everything but the pork belly, interesting. Getting in touch with the waiter and finally getting the pork belly and the missing third dish took another 20 minutes, in which time the broth cooled down significantly. I know the Düsseldorf place and can recommend, the Cologne one seems a mixed bag, and we had bad luck.

My favorite restaurant for ramen in Cologne. I lived in Japan for 7 years as a child and the ramen here brings back memories of that! The offering is not as chic as in some other restaurants but that somehow gives it an authentic character 😀

The food was very tasty and reasonably priced. The surroundings were kept very simple and not decorated with over-important decorations. The only thing is that the other guests were quite loud, which the restaurant can't do anything about. The service was the only thing that bothered me. The staff was very friendly and gentle but it wasn't very clear and obvious to the staff which guest ordered which food because they wanted to give me food that I didn't order. It may be that it is and was a one-off, that it happened, but it happened.

It was a very good experience we will come back

We took the lunch special, with a ramen noodle soup and a rice dish. Simply a dream for only €16. The soups are really tasty and absolutely comparable to Takumi, even if they don't look as fancy. Will definitely come back.

Ramen and karaage were very tasty. The cook is also very nice, but doesn't speak German very well.

Excellent restaurant to eat a good hot ramen. The noodles are thick and the broth is very flavorful. Just the tamago a little overcooked, but other than that excellent and I will come back with great pleasure. The waitress speaks English and is very smiling and attentive.

Ambiance takes some getting used to. There will probably be new chairs soon, the boxes are parked in the corner. Naked light bulbs everywhere. It's below zero outside, but it's only slightly warmer in the store. Take a sweater with you. The food was ok, tasty and with reasonable price.

Particularly delicious and simple Shoyu Ramen. The carage is also exactly as it should be. The conditions gave us enough time as the map was a bit confusing. All in all, we were all very happy with the food. I think the price-performance ratio is okay, but not cheap or expensive. The only thing I would say could be improved is the vegetarian gyozas. Still 5 stars from me because the overall package was great.

The ramen and the tako kara were very, very tasty! We'll definitely be back. I would have preferred the Tako Kara as a starter instead of having it added later, but that's probably a matter of taste.

We visited Takezo in Düsseldorf and absolutely fell in love with the ramen. However, the experience in Cologne didn’t quite live up to our expectations. The ramen was too salty, and the taste just didn’t match the quality we remembered from Düsseldorf.

One of good authentic ramen spots in cologne. The ramen is tasty and there are few options to choose from. The price is reasonable when compare to the portion and quality. The place can get really crowded both lunch and dinner time, especially on weekends. Reservations is recommended to avoid long waiting.

Takezo Bowl is worth it. Fills you up and tastes very tasty. Service is also very courteous and the restaurant ambience is very nice

The best ramen restaurant I could find in Germany so far. All ingredients were tasty and well prepared, a good portion and fair prices. The other offers on the map, e.g. Rice bowls looked very appealing and I'm looking forward to trying them too.

Takezo is an authentic Japanese bar with a modest atmosphere. The selection and quality are great and the lunch menu can only be recommended. Staff is relaxed and friendly. Tip: be sure to try the starters too.

Very great shop with very tasty food and a great atmosphere

The ramen was very, very tasty. For lunch I wanted to try something other than gyoza and chose the sour pork belly with cabbage on rice. I thought you would get a small bowl as a "side dish", but instead I got a second bowl that was basically the size of a main course. You can't beat the price-performance ratio for €16, but I had to struggle a lot with the huge quantity. Next time I'll use gyoza again. 😅

Best ramen bar ever No matter in Cologne or Düsseldorf, the quality is always the best

I was at Takezo yesterday and was shocked by the poor conditions there. Loud unpleasant music, the service just wasn't there. I got the menu myself and waited a long time for the waiter but no one came. The tables next to me were waiting too. Then I left and was very happy. I probably have to go to Düsseldorf every time now.

It's a shame, but I noticed that the quality of food and service seems to have declined. In addition, recipes are suddenly different and there are fewer ingredients, and prices have risen. We've probably eaten there 30 times, but we're always treated like strangers.
