I was at Takezo yesterday and was shocked by the poor conditions there. Loud unpleasant music, the service just wasn't there. I got the menu myself and waited a long time for the waiter but no one came. The tables next to me were waiting too. Then I left and was very happy. I probably have to go to Düsseldorf every time now.

The ramen was delicious, staff very friendly and attentive! The interieur design is a little lacklustre, a cozier atmosphere would really elevate the experience but the quality of food, which was really great is more important of course!

It's a shame, but I noticed that the quality of food and service seems to have declined. In addition, recipes are suddenly different and there are fewer ingredients, and prices have risen. We've probably eaten there 30 times, but we're always treated like strangers.

Until now, the best ramen I had in Cologne.

The ramen was just okay. Little taste. The starter had no sauce and there was no extra soy sauce or anything like that. You couldn't swap meat for tofu. The tea I ordered was just a Messmer tea bag.

If you want a very delicious ramen, then this is a very good place.

In my opinion the best ramen in Cologne! Highly recommended.

The Takezo in Cologne is an offshoot of the original from Düsseldorf. The shop is very centrally located, just three minutes' walk from Heumarkt, and is easily accessible by public transport. I don't recommend the car because the parking situation here isn't great. The menu is very extensive and there are also vegan dishes if someone wants to avoid meat/animal products. The dishes are very tasty and filling - the price is debatable, but for authentic East Asian cuisine it is average. When we visited, the air conditioning was a bit overzealous, even though it was already quite cool outside. Overall, one could actually only complain at a very high level, and that's not the point. 😊

We're not from Cologne, but since the shop had good reviews and we really wanted to eat ramen, we came here and what can I say, it was really, really tasty. Nice service, delicious food and value for money is also great. Highly recommend eating here.

I had soy sauce ramen. It was delicious

Unfortunately, the taste is still not consistent. When it's good, it's good, but this time the garlic flavor was too strong and the noodles were too soft.

It's a bit out of the way and there's an "exotic cinema" nearby, which spoils it a bit at first glance, but once you take a look you'll want to sit down and try one of the delicious dishes! The service was very nice and polite and did a great job! Highly recommended!!

Today we went to the Cologne location of our favorite restaurant. As expected, the food was amazing and there was even a larger vegan selection than in Düsseldorf. Unfortunately, only the ambience can still be improved

A really great restaurant. Very tasty and highly recommended. But be careful, the toilet bowl is a bit high in the men's room. This is a bit uncomfortable and unusual. I recommend bringing a stool for your feet.

Finally, a proper ramen bar in Cologne, that was a very long wait. The soup is great, pork belly is so tender and juicy. The boiled egg is perfectly half-boiled. The portion is rather big for the small portion. Very friendly service, too. Season with some vinegar to bring the flavours to live. Enjoy your ramen! Excellent starters, too.

the best ramen of my life. this is a 100% authentic Japanese ramen restaurante, it has so many good options on the menu that it’s hard to choose. also i loved that in the bathroom there was hand cream, cotton pads, ear pads and Listerine with one-use cups. me and my boyfriend usually look for the best ramen restaurants in our trips and i’m so glad we found this one from the first try, if you’re looking for authentic japanese cuisine and drinks then this is the right place. i don’t think that there’s something else better in Köln, or in whole Germany…. but i wish we had a ramen restaurante like this in Barcelona

I am a fan of ramen and very picky when it comes to eating it. I have lived in Japan for a year and this is without a doubt the best ramen I have eaten in Europe, including restaurants in several countries. If you like ramen I highly recommend it!

Incredibly good ramen. Karaage and gyoza were also delicious. Service was very friendly. The ambience could still be worked on a bit. The front part looks more like a canteen.

While looking for a good ramen bar in Cologne, I finally found it. Been there for the second time and wasn't disappointed. Starting with the small starters: the kimchi tastes fantastic, you can't go wrong with the gyoza and the edamame - they taste good. The Chige Ramen blew my socks off, I recommend getting Chashu and Ni Tamago for 2.50. The staff are very friendly and everyone deserves high praise.

Best ramen in town. Far better then some hyped places like Takumi or Daikan (IMHO) They also offer some delicious sides like butaniku- or chachu-don. Yes the place doesn't look as pretty as Daikan, not even by a long shot, but if it's just the food you're after, this is the place to go.

Authentic and delicious ramen. However, I ordered the vegan TamTam Ramen and then found minced meat in it. Unfortunately that's not possible :( I pointed this out to the waitress. There were a few cookies as compensation, but personally I would have found it fairer if I hadn't had to pay for my dish.

In my opinion, this is by far the best ramen in all of Cologne. In contrast to the many other pseudo-Japanese restaurants in Cologne, you can actually get authentic Japanese food here. Among other things, thanks to some interesting side order options and various Japanese drinks. Visually, the shop may not appeal to everyone, but you can still enjoy your food there in peace and quiet, both alone and with friends.

Super delicious food no matter what time of the week you go. Quality is always best. The atmosphere is cozy and as an anime fan it's great to hear appropriate opening music. Highly recommended
