My very first Ramen! The Ramen was super delicious! I could eat daily there. Thank you Ramen Takezo for this first and great experience! Also the service was great and very friendly!!! Looking forward to my next visit. Arigato ありがとう

Probably the best Ramen in Köln. Legitimate ramen eggs (tamago), delicious soups. Fast service.

The store is almost empty but the property keeps people in the line because they don’t have enough people to clean the tables for tens of minutes. Well, maybe, maybe don’t open a restaurant since you guys clearly are not good at it?

Made us wait 1h to tell us we cant eat all together when they have the means to. Totally wasted our time, thanks for nothing.

The ramens are fantastic! I went on two consecutive days because the food was so good and reasonably priced. I dare to say that this place has served the best ramen that i've had so far. Would recommend.

We like coming here. The food is delicious, the price is right, the portion is sufficient.

Ramen: The soup was lukewarm !! There was no steam ! The taste was quite normal. Fried rice: The taste was quite normal. Waiter: Bad attitude. We usually leave a tip in cash when we leave the restaurant even if we pay by card, but the waiter here changed his attitude drastically when we paid by card at the register without a tip into the tip-box ! No matter how many times we said greetings and called out to him, he completely ignored us even though he could hear us. If he behaves like this at a ramen restaurant in Tokyo, rumors will spread soon and the shop will go out of business. We never recommend here at all.

Food was so amazing here, didn’t know I was in Japan???! A little on the salty side for the shoyu ramen but the ramen texture was really to die for. Just what I needed after so many weeks of European food.

Was there on a Saturday lunchtime. The location itself is run down and the worst ramen I've had. The prices are on par with the alternatives. Never again!

Small but nice ramen bar near the Heumarkt. We recommend. The broth was rich and the noodles were cooked to perfection. I also had an egg as an extra topping. It was still liquid on the inside and well cooked on the outside. There aren't many places, so I would recommend making a reservation.

Best ramen outside of Japan period! Plus friendly staff. Reasonable pricing and kirin in iced glasses, on tap. What more could you want? By the way, it's also very tasty when delivered to your home, as the pasta isn't overcooked here. Arrive home still very firm to the bite.

Super nice restaurant, nice service staff. Prices affordable. Food arrived quickly and, above all, was served hot. The best thing for me was the music that fits the restaurant. I would describe it as Asian pop music. So luckily no German radio with usual radio pop music.

The Soup of the Shoyu Ramen is perfect. The staff is very kind. In busy times you have to wait sometimes but it’s completely worth it. It’s very close to the ramen you get in Japan. The price is quite high but in my opinion it’s better this way so I don’t get to go every day and thus this experience is always special. The Kirin Draft beer tastes also formidable because they cool the glasses, just like in Japan. ❤️

every time I get the menu and check out, the waiting time is very long, there is only one waitress who was very busy, but the other waiter seems to be chatting and laughing with colleagues in the kitchen during the break, so the Store is very busy for a waiter, I hope the store manager can schedule the waiter better，hopefully there will be no bullying

I've been here many times. This time I ordered tsukemen, and I was impressed because the taste was just like the one you get in Japan!

Unfortunately, I can hardly say anything positive about this restaurant, as we (6 women) only walked about 5 minutes. could stay in it. We wanted to sit at the table as a group of six and put a chair at the front of a table for four. The restaurant was almost empty. Then the owner came? and tell us in an unfriendly, almost threatening tone that only three people are allowed to sit at a table at a time. We got up and left. Luckily, there is a very nice sushi bar three doors down where you can sit at a table for six. So the evening came to a happy end.

We wanted to eat something for 6 people. Since there was no table available for 6 people, we pushed 2 chairs to a large table for 4. This is probably not welcomed in this restaurant, because we were asked quite harshly why we sat down at one table and not spread out across two tables as the usher instructed. Well, when you go out to eat together, you don't want to be separated. And not in this tone at all. So we spontaneously decided not to order anything here and ended up in an extremely nice, tasty and friendly sushi restaurant a few doors away. Saved evening.

The outside may seem inconspicuous, but inside the restaurant shines with its unique style. The menus are authentically designed and the taste of the ramen was absolutely impressive. The dishes were served quickly and at the same time, and the staff was extremely friendly!

Very authentic Japanese ramen restaurant (I have traveled to Japan myself for a long time). The food is very tasty, the starters are also recommended and (as in Japan) there is, among other things, whiskey and soda (kaku highball) to drink. The atmosphere is "casual". The waiters are often Japanese and sometimes don't understand every complicated request 100%... I don't mind that.

Tasty ramen, nice service, authentic atmosphere and reasonable prices. We really enjoyed it here and is now our go-to ramen restaurant. The picture shows Shoyu Ramen with extra corn.

By far (!!!) the best ramen in Cologne, and at the best prices too. I don't really want it to become more popular and get fewer places, but the 5 stars are so well deserved!

Best ramen in town. Far better then some hyped places like Takumi or Daikan (IMHO) They also offer some delicious sides like butaniku- or chachu-don. Yes the place doesn't look as pretty as Daikan, not even by a long shot, but if it's just the food you're after, this is the place to go.

Even though it was very crowded, I was able to find a seat and ate half-chan ramen and gyoza. It was run by a Japanese person and had a Japanese taste.

As a ramen nerd, I was somewhat satisfied. Had lunch there. Shoyu Ramen was tasty but nothing special. Toppings: not enough pork belly. Ramen lovers in Cologne still have no choice but to go to Düsseldorf.

Super tasty karaage and so huge too 😳🤤, but super juicy and very crispy, not too greasy 😉 The rice could be hotter in my opinion (personal opinion). My companion's ramen broth was a bit strange (tasted a little like old pork, also in my personal opinion) The service person was very friendly and nice ☺️But overall, we were satisfied 👍🏼

The curry is so sour. It tastes like vinegar poured on it. How do I get the curry to taste sour? I told the clerk when I was paying, but ah. He said. But the additional soup I ordered was delicious. And the chashu don that I often eat at this store is delicious.

The interior seems a bit uninspired. Compared to the street it's on, it's okay. You shouldn't be fooled by this. The food is extremely good and tasty and not just the standard Asian food that Europeans get. The ramen like Black tan tan men are particularly recommended. Service can be a bit slow depending on the waiter, but overall ok.

Really delicious & authentic ramen, also a large selection for vegetarians & vegans. It's usually quite full, so you should definitely make a reservation - otherwise you'll have to wait a while. Service is always top. In my opinion the best ramen shop in Cologne!

Probably the worst restaurant visit of my life. The frames smelled like a cowshed and they tasted like it too. We left 90% left. No reaction from the employees…..they could at least ask if everything was okay…..

A ramen shop I happened to find in Cologne😊 This is the place to go if you miss Japanese food 👌 Ramen, gyoza, and fried rice were all delicious. There were days when I went twice in one day. I was happy that the menu was also in Japanese! ! Is the clerk a Japanese working holiday? It felt good to be in a normal Japanese town Chinese restaurant 👍

It's a shame, but I noticed that the quality of food + service seems to have declined.

The service is more attentive than in Düsseldorf and it is much easier to get a table. Ramen was great as usual, also vegan.

Sehr coole Einrichtung/Atmosphäre + tolle große Auswahl an Gerichten, vor allem auch für Vegetarier/Veganer! Es hat uns alles sehr gut geschmeckt.

Freundliches Personal, sehr kräftige, leckere Brühe & Ramen waren top, nur schade die Ramen wenig Toppings enthalten und man viel dazubuchen muss 😅

Amazing experience with the ramen and taiyaki. The taiyaki was warm and fresh. Sadly no takoyaki was available. The portion of ramen was huge, ordering anything more would be excess. Topping off with kirin beer and good friends, it is an evening worth coming back to! Lighting was low and waiting time was very long, but the staff are polite.

I ordered Takezo ramen made with miso. The overall taste was good, but probably salty for South Koreans. My colleague also said it tasted good but was salty. But most Europeans seem to be fine with it (the person at the table next to me enjoyed everything, including the soup). Staffs are very kind.

The karagee was nice, but not flavorful enough. Overall okay, nice wait staff.

Hier gibt es echt guten Ramen. Leider wird hier viel mit Schweinefleisch gemacht. Schmeckt auch gut, doch hätte ich gerne 1-2 Ramen mit Hähnchen. Trotzdem, sehr lecker und empfehlenswert. Der Service ist freundlich und wir mussten nicht lange auf unser Essen warten.

Me pareció una experiencia muy completa, el diseño del menú se me hizo muy original, el personal fue muy amable en todo momento, la comida realmente exquisita y la recomendación de sake en verdad fue de nuestro gusto. Realmente muy recomendable si quieres tener una experiencia estilo japonesa dentro de la ciudad de Köln.

Laden sieht schon eigenartig aus… aber Geschmacksache, Personal war stets bemüht. Essen war ein Reinfall ich hätte dafür gerne nicht bezahlt …. So eine ungeschmackliche Suppe hätte ich nicht erwartet schade drum -.-

I have had ramen many places, and this one here is okay. We ordered Kimchi and Agedashi Tofu to start. I have never had Agedashi Tofu before, and that was probably the best thing I had while eating there. The outside of the tofu was a great texture and flavor. Now, for the Kimchi, I wasn't really a fan of this one. I had a flavor to it that I couldn't quite put and made it fishy in a not good way. I also ordered the Kara Miso and added an egg. The Kara Miso was supposed to be spicy, and there was absolutely none. There is an option to add spice, which i should have done. The noodles were cooked perfectly, but the bean sprouts were an overload for me, but that is a me problem, and I should ask for less next time. Overall, it wasn't terrible,but not the best and I would come back again, and maybe try something different.

Very disappointing experience, ramen had very strange taste, didn’t taste well at all. Honestly hoped would not get food poisoning after eating there. Kimchi is terrible salty and very strange taste. Nothing seemed fresh. Place also not clean, tables not clean, toilets very dirty and disgusting.

Atmosphäre ist jetzt nicht so der Hammer, aber ist auf jeden Fall nett. Essen ist unfassbar lecker. Und der Service immer nett mit einem Lächeln. Immer wieder sehr gerne.

Die Ramen sind so salzig, dass nicht zu beurteilen ist, ob hier wirklich eine gute Brühe oder nur Brühwürfel zum Einsatz kommen. Die Nudeln sind Spaghetti sehr ähnlich, guter Biss, aber nichts Besonderes. Der Schweinbauch war kalt und offensichtlich nicht selbst gemacht. Die Bambuseinlage war ebenfalls kalt und leicht tranig (das wird hier vllt teilweise mit „authentisch“ verwechselt). Das für € 2,50 zusätzlich bestellte Ei war nicht halbiert und ich musste es mit den Stäbchen zerteilen. Während ich aß, wurde in der Küche gesaugt und dann mit sehr geruchsintensivem Putzmittel geputzt, was sehr störend war. Die hier durchweg begeisterten Rezensionen sind für mich nicht nachvollziehbar. Aber typisch Köln halt, keinerlei Ansprüche an die Gastronomie. Never again.

Es war uns ein Vergnügen 😊 Das Essen war wirklich ein Traum und die Bedienung durchgehend freundlich 🍀 Wir hatten Vorspeise und danach natürlich jeder eine riesen Schüssel Rahmen. Es war alles wunderbar würzig und die Portionen sind ausreichend sättigend. Wir waren pipe pape satt als wir das Lokal verlassen haben. Ich kann dieses Lokal wärmstens empfehlen, lohnt sich auf jeden Fall für alle Asien Food Liebhaber hier einmal vorbei zu kommen ☮️✨️

Das Essen und die Bedienung waren hervorragend. 😍 Wir waren nun schon in sehr vielen Ramen 🍜 Restaurants aber dieses Restaurant gehört definitiv zu den besten. ☺️ Die Brühe ist unglaublich gut! Hier harmoniert einfach alles. ☺️ Ein kleiner Kritik Punkt war für mich, das Zutaten die bei anderen Läden inklusive sind, hier extra bestellt werden müssen gegen einen kleinen Aufpreis. Dennoch kann ich jedem Fan der japanischen Küche dieses Restaurant nur ans Herz legen. ☺️ Wir kommen wieder. 😁

Said I want miso yasai but got shoyu.... Also egg topping was completely hard boiled and not juicy at all.... "Fried vegetables" = fried cabbage?... one slice of okayish carrot? ....for 15€? If you want good ramen without the Instagram recommendation go to takumi chicken and vegan or Daikin izakaya. Not extremely japanese authentic but extremely good ramen!

The staff seemed so rude. I went there by the recommendation of my friend. I asked a staff where should I sit. She responded in a very annoying way to go to the counter. I didn't see any counter there. I was alone. I don't speak German. There was someone who came after me. She smiled at him so nicely and showed him a place to sit. She then asked me to wait at the waiting area and went on to clean the table. I then left without eating. I was ready to wait until she cleaned the table. But the way she spoke with me was so rude. I don't want anyone to treat me like that. Learn to respect everyone equally.

The absolute best ramen I have ever had in Cologne. Absolutely authentic shoyu ramen and i finished every single drop of my ramen broth (see photo). I would have this for lunch every single day if I could. I dont know what the negative reviewers were talking about but I'm sure they were wrong.

Finally, a proper ramen bar in Cologne, that was a very long wait. The soup is great, pork belly is so tender and juicy. The boiled egg is perfectly half-boiled. The portion is rather big for the small portion. Very friendly service, too. Season with some vinegar to bring the flavours to live. Enjoy your ramen! Excellent starters, too.

Nicht todschick, sogar eher unscheinbar von außen, aber die Gerichte mega lecker. Wer Ramen (auch vegetarisch/vegan) mag, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Es gibt natürlich auch andere Gerichte und Kleinigkeiten, die sehr gut schmecken. Gehe hier gerne mit meinen Kollegen Mittagessen und werden dabei immer freundlich bedient. Eher mittlerer Preisklasse, aber das ist es wert.

Nette Bedienung und klasse Ramen, 10/10.

Very polite staff, I didn’t know about their working hours. Although the restaurant’s working hours was finished, they didn’t say anything and figured it out by checking it on the Internet. When we told them about the time, they said it didn’t matter at all and enjoy the food. We really was impressed by their behavior. Food and beer were both delicious. Just they can work on the restaurant’s design and air conditioning. Highly recommended.

Bestes Ramen in der Stadt. Die Gyoza waren auch hervorragend. Kann leicht mit den großen Küchen Japans mithalten.

Das BESTE Ramen in Köln! Hier esse ich richtig gerne. Allerdings wurden die takoyaki aus dem Sortiment genommen, was ich sehr schade finde.

Portions are a bit small but a lot of the flavors are good.

Eine Rahmenbar, im Traditionellen Japanischen, Style, das Ambiente ist Geschmacks Sache, aber das Esser Schmeckt umso besser.

We visited there about 6pm on a Friday evening, we were lucky to have a table without reservation. But for a big group it looks like a reservation would be necessary during busy hours. We ordered Gyoza to share as an appetizer. It was very tasty, with a crispy bottom and juicy and soft sheet. The filling was all pork meat. It would be nicer to have vegetarian options. I had the Tantan Ramen. It was exactly what I expected from a Tantan. It was spicy but not too much, with some pork and spring onions. The soup was very good, creamy with some chilli, had a rich taste. To the downside, the atmosphere was just okay. I can see it was beautiful inside before, but perhaps after all these years, they need a renovation.

Essen schmeck ok, aber nichts besonderes. Habe jetzt schon ein paar Mal hier gegessen und die Brühen schmeckten immer etwas langweilig. Die eingelegten Bambussprossen (mag ich im Allgemeinen), die in vielen Ramen als Einlage drin sind, prägen den Geschmack mit einem abgestandenen Eigengeschmack zu sehr. Außerdem sind die Preise inzwischen völlig überteuert (knapp 16 Euro für Ramen, wobei zwei Euro für das Ajitsuke Tamago - Ei verlangt werden) und ich habe noch nie erlebt, dass auch "scharf" einen Euro extra kostet.

Unfassbar gutes Restaurant. Sensationelle Ramen und das karaagen ist einfach ein muss. Bestes fried Chicken meines Lebens. Leicht abgelegen aber ein must try!

Der Takezo in Köln ist zwar weniger besucht als sein Bruder in Düsseldorf, dafür ist er jedoch größer und einen Tisch bekommt man definitiv - auch als Gruppe (waren zu fünft). Ramen und Donburi hier sind fabelhaft und sehr zu empfehlen. Leider ist die Parkplatzsituation nicht so gut, aber in Köln fahren überall Busse und Bahnen hin.

Sehr leckere Ramen. Brühe schmeckt kräftig, würzig. Besonders gut fand ich das Fleisch. Typisches japanisches Restaurant, nettes Personal. Frische Zutaten. Kommen gerne wieder

Die veganen Miso Ramen und der Tofu waren super lecker.

Das Essen finde ich sehr gut könnte mann jeden Tag essen. Was ich allgemein schwierig finde. In jedem Takeso auch in Köln können manche Kellner kein Deutsch und Englisch leider auch nur gebrochen. Ambiente ist ein wenig klein für die Anzahl an Gästen die tagtäglich kommt.

Der Boden klebt in diesem Lokal so, dass mir fast die Halbschuhe daran hängen blieben. Dem Personal ist eine Monierung nicht wirklich wichtig, zumal ich das Gefühl habe, dass sie auch nicht wirklich verstehen, oder verstehen wollen was der Gast sagt. Da Restaurant ist billigst eingerichtet und auf dem Weg zur Toilette begegnet einem im ohnehin engen Gang eine total abgewetzte Mehrfachsitzercouch aus Kunstleder und dann mehrere abgestellte Gasttische. Man sagt an der Toilette erkennt man die Sauberkeit eines Restaurants, so ist das hier eine Katastrophe. Die Toilette stinkt gottserbärmlich. Das Takezo Ramen war geschmacklich nichts besonders und das Ei komplett durch anstatt innen cremig-flüssig. Das scharfe bestellte Ramen war in keinster Weise scharf. Insbesondere die Getränkepreise sind sehr hoch (z.B. Vio Johannisbeerschorle 0,33l für 4 Euro!). Ich komme nicht noch einmal!
