Very well appointed Indian restaurant. More fancy than most at home. Had chicken vindaloo, tasty but hardly any heat. Assume a vindaloo is always hot but if you want hot you might have to ask. A quite quaffable Chardonnay. Good friendly service

One of my favorite Indian restaurants in Frankfurt. Everything fits, modern and traditional at the same time.

The lamb curry and the mint dip starter are fantastic. Very very good value for money. The rice is perfectly cooked. The bartender doesn't skimp on the alcohol when you order a cocktail there. The atmosphere is very chic. There's nothing I can criticize. What I like most is that the dishes can be served with beef, lamb, poultry, fish or vegetarian. So we can go there in a larger group and everyone can eat something there and still have a good selection.

A safe bank. I always enjoyed it here. Service was always good or very good. Well-kept restaurant in a central location.

Nice ambience and delicious food, even if it doesn't particularly stand out in terms of taste. For a relaxing evening without long waiting times, you've come to the right place!

I've been coming here for years..Driving an extra 100 km from Heilbronn..Of course I combine the food with business.....Top food! ....I personally recommend Chicken Korma.I love this dish to die for...Service is top and very professional...I love this shop!. 💯% further recommendation

This used to be a high quality Indian Restaurant when it got opened years ago. But the quality of the food has declined since then year on year. The chicken Tikka had almost no chicken just sauce which was endlessly sugared, the Samosa‘s where not fresh made but heated up in the Oven. I ordered a lentil soup after three spoon of it the bowl was empty. The ambience and waiters are nice but that‘s it.

Einfach furchtbar. Ich kenne das Restaurant schon viele Jahre. Ich habe dort schon sehr gut, aber heute wieder sehr schlecht gegessen. Es war einfach furchtbar. Das Raitha kam mit total aufgeweichten Papadoms, über die auch noch Balsamico Sauce aus der Flasche drüber gekippt war. Ich wollte eigentlich die bestellten Hauptspeisen direkt wieder abbestellen, mein Mann war anderer Meinung. Chicken Jalfraezi, ohne Sauce dafür kalt. Eine Handvoll klein geschnittenes Hühnerfleisch mit Eiern? Für 19,50 Euro? Ohne Worte!!! Ich gehe nicht mehr hin.

I don't often feel driven to write a review, but having seen a number of quite negative reviews of the Taj Taj (and therefore almost deciding not to go there yesterday evening) I feel i must put the story right. Those negative reviews (particularly among the German ones) are really so off the mark and may keep others from going. We ultimately decided to go because we kew the Taj Taj from previous dinners, and so decided to trust in that rather than the critical voices. We were so glad we did! In short, the welcome was courteous, the service professional and friendly, the food very good - freshly fried papadums with chutney and raita, tasty crusty buttery butter naan, spicy lamb rogan josh, beautifully creamy chicken korma, gingery spicy bhindi and the "Grauburgunder" by the glass fitted perfectly. I must really stress how well the spices and flavours worked in each dish! To sum up, anybody who is on the lookout in Frankfurt for excellent Indian cuisine in a stylish ambience [and no, the bathrooms were not dirty!] with very pleasant service should just go and enjoy a lovely evening.

This Indian restaurant in Frankfurt seems like a pure daylight robbery– you could even call them the Indian mafias of Frankfurt. On December 4th, my wife and I went there for lunch before flying off to our destination. We ordered main courses with naan bread and rice. As the weather was freezing cold outside and both of us coughing, we asked for hot water to warm up before the food arrived. The food came reasonably quick; my wife's fish masala was okay, but my lamb roganjosh was overly salty, more like takeout curry at an unjustified price. When we asked for the bill, it totalled Eur 70.00 with taxes, which was acceptable. However, upon examining the bill, we were surprised to find a charge of Eur 3.50 for each pot of hot water. When I inquired, the waiter explained it was the manager's instruction. This seemed unethical and left me questioning the manager about which planet he is from? The manager/ owner should be ashamed!!!

Very good tandoori as far as I'm to judge :-) pricing is not cheap but still doable. Service was a little hard to understand but fine otherwise

So schlecht habe ich noch nie indisch gegessen, Linsensuppe war Dhal mit Wasser verdünnt ohne Geschmackä, Papadam war kalt, vegetarische Pakoras nur vorgefertigte Zwiebelringe, der Tandoori Fisch kein indisches Gewürz, keinen Geschmack, Raita war nur Yoghurt mit Bisschen Paprikapulver, zum Schluss forderte der Kellner mich auf ihm Trinkgeld zu geben, das sei nicht in der Rechnung enthalten!!

Sehr schickes und feines Restaurant. Die Gerichte sind sehr lecker und gut gewürzt, aber etwas klein. Vegane Gerichte sind in der Karte gekennzeichnet.

Sehr sehr leckeres Essen, man wird sehr herzlich empfangen und bedient. Das Essen ist frisch, auf extra Wünsche wird eingegangen. Kann ich nur sehr empfehlen.

A great Indian food restaurant - the best Korma chicken I've had in years! Prefect rice! :) All desserts were appealing but we wanted to try something more different so we went Gulab Jaman flambeed with Cointreau (made from khoya - a dairy food popular in the Indian cuisine, made of dried whole milk or milk thickened by heating in an open iron pan); if you like really sweet stuff, like honey dipped, this is it! :)

Großartiger Ort, um indisch essen zu gehen! Bestes Paratha, das ich in Deutschland je bekommen habe. Ist jetzt gut 1 Jahr her, aber ich schwärme immer noch davon.

食物很好吃，肉很軟嫩，咖哩醬對於完全不吃辣的我來說有一點尾韻的辣，但配上薄餅和米飯就剛剛好可以解辣。怕辣的人還是很推薦吃吃看喔！

We came here twice during a busy week (Frankfurt Book Fair). Excellent food, service and atmosphere each time. We were seeking vegetarian food and the offerings suited our needs perfectly.

Das Personal ist sehr nett. Das Essen ist gut jedoch sind die Portionen sehr klein für die Preise.

Delicious food And Excellent service

We were in Frankfurt for a family party on the Saturday night and Sunday was our last day before heading home . We decided to have a wander around the city centre and after visiting a couple of pubs we needed some food before our flight and what better than an Indian .despite not having booked we were welcomed into the restaurant and a table found for us . The decor is very nice and pleasant . The staff were great and despite us having no German we were able to order without any bother . The menu is decent and the food was good . Was it as good as you can get in the best Glasgow Indian restaurants ( no but that is a pretty high bar ) wee bit expensive but that is because of a rubbish exchange rate to the euro ( thank you brexit .. not ) . Overall we had a lovely family meal and when I’m back in Frankfurt I will revisit taj taj .

Kellner sprechen es offen an, wenn sie nicht das Tringeld erhalten, das sie sich erhofft haben. Ein NO GO. Wir waren sprachlos. Ein anderes Mal als wir da waren, haben sie das Restgeld (7 Euro). Einfach nicht zurückgebracht. Sehr sehr dreist.

My favorite restaurant in Frankfurter!! My travels take me to wonderful places on both sides of the Atlantic- a better location you can’t find - always a pleasure to recommend this wonderful Indian Centre of excellence - the staff are a class apart and the food reflects this.
