Taj Mahal in Hannover

I was there on November 19th at 8:00 PM, and the experience was very disappointing overall. The food was of extremely poor quality, completely tasteless, and simply unacceptable for the price. The waiter was noticeably rude, and the entire service seemed overwhelmed, slow, and completely uninterested in the guests. The cleanliness was also concerning—the tables, the surroundings, and the atmosphere all looked neglected. After this visit, I will definitely not be returning and cannot recommend this restaurant in any way.

The food was meh. The soup was too salty. The bread, however, tasted very good; however, the containers it was served in were very dirty and hadn't been cleaned beforehand. Therefore, it only gets one star.

For vegetarians, Taj Mahal Hannover is highly recommended. Besides the delicious food, the decor is chic with an Indian feel.

Very bad restaurant, The butter chicken they made had stones in it.they brought from us and threw it away. so we can not claim it. do not go to their restaurant, they are not polite at all. When i asked that why it happened, they said don’t ever come here, and talked rudely with us, do not trust this restaurant. very slow service. Not Recommended at all!!! Be Safe for your Health.

Delicious food - but be careful how to order your spicy level. For me, the first time was perfect but the second slightly too spicy. For my friend it wasn’t spicy at all when he ordered his spicier than mine (and I tasted it and it definitely was mild). Otherwise the staff is very friendly and I like the inside decor. Definitely a go-to buy slightly expensive.

I found the service consistently friendly, although not always 100% attentive. Everything tasted very good. They even have a happy hour for drinks on weekends.

The food is absolutely delicious, freshly prepared, and beautifully presented. You feel welcome and well taken care of from the very first moment. We will definitely be back.

Furniture used for seating looks traditional but it is not comfortable in the present space shortage situation and customer profile with some physical contraients. Needs modern furnitures ergonomically designed for easy seating n exit from the table.

A very good restaurant with friendly service and a fantastic selection of dishes. The food tastes excellent, and you can choose your own spice level. From mild, spicy, hot, or extra hot, there's something for every taste.

Veg Biriyani and Mango lassi was very good. Better than my expectations. Due to the crowd, had to wait additional 10-15 mins to get my bill

We had Bhindi Masala, Aloo Kulcha, Naan, Masala Chai, and a beer — everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and authentic, and the food was served fresh and hot. The two servers who attended us were exceptionally warm, attentive, and professional. Both the food and the service were truly top notch. Highly recommended!

We were at the Taj Mahal in Hanover today, and what can I say: it was absolutely delicious. We had the Mughal rice platter, a multi-course meal, and everything was just perfect. Great spices, perfectly balanced, not too spicy, but beautifully aromatic. The ambiance was also pleasant and cozy. You can tell the place is run with love. The server was super attentive and warm, something you rarely experience. No wonder the restaurant has been around for over 30 years. Well deserved. We'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately, we only visited the restaurant on the last day of our vacation. We would have eaten there more often otherwise. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Many combinations are explained very well when choosing dishes. There are also various spice levels, from mild to very hot (Indian hot). Delicious!

Today I attended a company party at the infamous Taj Mahal, and I have to say, they truly live up to their name. We were all given a very warm welcome and thoroughly pampered. Never was an empty glass left for more than five minutes. The entire staff and owners were very polite and friendly. The food was outstanding. I'm glad I had this experience and will, of course, dine at this restaurant more often from now on. Many thanks to the team ❤️

I loooooove this restaurant! I always feel physically wonderful when I eat here because the food is so wholesome! My favorites are the rose lassi and the main course, Navratan curry 🤤

Highly recommended! The food was incredibly delicious, the service extremely attentive and friendly (they even gave suggestions for the food when requested). My chicken tikka masala was really good, albeit spicy. The two samosas for starters were also good; a bit too much batter, but perfectly fine.

We had a real Indian meal for the first time on Saturday and were more than thrilled. The service is great, explains everything and helps you navigate through the map. The food was incredibly tasty and the meat was also super tender. All in all, it was a very, very great evening and we would love to come back, thank you!

I swear I tasted India – and Roland was my tour guide! What an experience! As soon as I took the first bite, I had the feeling that a little Indian grandmother was smiling lovingly in my face and saying: “Eat, child, eat!” The curries? Creamy, spicy, perfectly balanced. The naan? So fluffy that I would love to move into it. And the spices? A flavor explosion that ate its way through my heart. And then Roland came. Not just a waiter, but a host, entertainer and spice guru all in one. So warm, so attentive, and with a smile that warms you better than any masala sauce. I came to eat. I left with feelings of happiness, a full stomach and the firm conviction: That wasn't the last time. Roland, I'll be back – hungry and full of anticipation!

A great evening at the Taj Mahal Hanover. Stylish ambience, great food and outstanding service. The quality of the food was really impressive. Everything was very high quality, thank you very much for that. We would especially like to thank Roland: from the warm welcome to the stylish wine advice to the perfect placement of cutlery and glasses, his service was simply top. Very keen eye and feeling for guests. The recommendation of the dishes and the spiciness exactly suited our taste. Someone did their homework. ;) This corresponds exactly to our (high) expectations. You rarely experience so much attention and professionalism in Hanover and when you do, you are in other price categories. We would love to come back, we really enjoyed the evening. We hadn't reserved a table and got a place for two (table for four) on a Friday evening. However, reservations are recommended. Price/performance is absolutely right, but is at the upper limit.

I can highly recommend the Taj Mahal, the service is incredibly good and gives you great advice on the spiciness of the food and is happy to give explanations. The food was also very tasty :) But the spiciness level 2/4 was definitely enough for us! It's great that you don't have to eat spicy here, but you can choose what you want according to your own preference :)

The ambience of the Taj Mahal is truly unique. You sit on very comfortable, oriental-looking sofas in a guest room that has been very well designed and with great attention to detail. The waiters were all very nice, attentive and were able to give you very good advice. The food was an absolute 10/10 and we really enjoyed our stay of over 2 hours there. Nice side thing, there are already "planned" menu sequences, if desired with wine accompaniment. Overall, after visiting you can understand why this store has been around for over 30 years👍

Super delicious food. Unfortunately, communication with the waiter was sometimes a problem because he spoke very quietly and only in very slurred English. If he had come to the table more often we would have drunk more. But the food was so delicious that we will come back.

The three of us got a table on Friday evening, very pleasant atmosphere. Outstanding service with pleasant advice/explanation. Food was also very tasty. It's not just the sofas that are remarkable.

An evening at the Taj Mahal is an absolute experience. The service is unbeatable and you will receive loving care and competent advice right from the start. The food was excellent and the Punjabi Bliss is particularly recommended as a companion to the numerous dishes, all of which are convincing.

The staff at this restaurant is not polite at all! There's a parking problem.

The food is great and the people behind the shop try to solve almost every problem. What I don't understand is why you give the phone to a person who doesn't speak German? Unfortunately, they changed the packaging to a highly PFAS soluble version, which compromises the quality of the food. If that were changed again, you would be able to order food without a negative thought.
