The service was friendly, and we got our food quickly. In my opinion, the food lacks refinement and quality. There's still a lot of room for improvement. Hence, only a well-intentioned three stars.

We had lunch here after a hike. The view from the terrace is impressive. We had lunch with naan bread, mango cream with vanilla ice cream and coffee. I haven't eaten Nan bread this good in a long time. Clear recommendation. :)

The best Indian food that I have had in Germany !! Service is great and amazing taste, spice levels are adjusted to your preference (also mild, medium & spicy options) and the taste is just a flavour bomb ! I had Onion Bhaji (Vorspeise) and it was prepared exactly like how you get in India. Plus the Paneer Butter Tikka Masala and Sabji Kofta were super delicious. I will 100% recommend this restaurant :D

Tonight the six of us went to the Taj Mahal for the first time. Making a reservation by telephone in advance was pleasantly uncomplicated. The service was very friendly and welcoming right from the start, and our wishes regarding small children (high chair/still water, etc.) were taken into consideration attentively. Upon request, there were eight vegan main courses (probably more in total if you include starters etc.). We ordered teas, among other things, which were very good. The food itself was really delicious, the spices were perfectly balanced and the vegetables were al dente. Accordingly, we reordered several times. We didn't have to wait long for our food and the waitress asked very kindly several times whether we needed anything else. We couldn't manage everything and when we asked, the rest of the food was packed up for us to take away. The prices are absolutely reasonable. Great recommendation!

Be aware. The amount of chicken in the chicken biryani and the butter chicken is very little for the high price they charge for it. They think that it won’t be noticed since it’s buried in the rice or the sauce! Blatant cheating.

As someone who works in the restaurant industry myself, I can really appreciate the work and effort put into this restaurant. I have visited the Indian restaurant several times and have always been impressed by the quality and service. I noticed some negative reviews that I absolutely cannot understand. Anyone who expects quality should also understand that good, freshly prepared food takes time. The boss and the team really make an effort here - not only in preparing the food, but also in serving the guests quickly and friendly. You can tell that people cook and work here with heart. The food is authentic, tasty and always fresh. The spices are perfectly balanced and the menu offers something for every taste – whether you are a meat lover or a vegetarian. The ambience is pleasant and invites you to linger. The boss always tries to keep up with the times and offer his guests a great experience. For me, a real role model of what gastronomy should be like. I will definitely come back and recommend this restaurant to anyone who values ​​quality and hospitality! 👏👏👏👏

I've been to a few Indian restaurants. But this one was by far the best! I've never had a better lamb fillet. The spices, the sauce, everything is to die for! Even the naan bread tasted different than usual. And the waiter made an extraordinary effort! We had a great, tasty evening. Thank you for that!

We've been walking past the restaurant on the way to Wank for years, and today we stopped by for the first time. We had TAJ MAHAL Thali for 2 people with 4 different meat dishes and different vegetable dishes in various sauces with basmati rice and Nan bread, - everything fresh and absolutely delicious. Because the food was great, we also tried an Indian dessert and then a chai tea. That was also excellent. To round things off, the boss treated us to a cardamom liqueur. - All in all: great food, great service and at a really reasonable price: we will definitely be back!

We were very excited about our visit! The food was incredibly delicious...very tender meat, great seasoning and very tasty naan bread :) It was very comfortable to sit outside on the terrace. The service was great. If you like Indian food, you should definitely go here!!

We ate there three times in the evenings while on vacation. We had different dishes each time and we all tasted very good. Spicy is really spicy. The mango lassi is also recommended. The prices are okay and the food always came promptly. It's dark in the restaurant, a little brightness wouldn't hurt. Due to the darkness, the restaurant looks closed from the outside.

Food were extremely good and the owner was very warm and welcoming. The food was extra comforting, hearty and delicious especially when I arrive during pouring rain. My family love it! For my muslim brother and sister, the food here is also halal. The owner also offer me some free Indian tea when we were about to leave:) I would recommend everyone to try this restaurant. It was a good experience indeed!

The restaurant is a dream for vegans. I've never had so much choice. All whole grain breads are vegan and really delicious. The vegetarian specialties have 15 different dishes on the menu! 8 of them are vegan: 59 Mixed Vegetable Jalfrezi, 57 Mixed Vegetables, 56 Bhindi Masala, 54 Chana Masala, 53 Sabzi Kofta, 49 Novratan Korma, 48 Dal Tarka, 47 Bombay Alu. The staff is very welcoming and doesn't want to let you go. If it's full you have to wait longer for your food, but it's also fresher than I've ever gotten it anywhere else!!! We will always come back.

I did not taste the real indian food in this restaurant. Probably they don’t have an expert chef who prepares traditional Indian food. They just use tomato sauce for everything. Even my little kids did not like their food saying their sauce is bad.

Food was fine. Portion to Price ratio not fine, definitely low. Service changes according to your nationality as it appeared clear to me when we just had a dine there tonight. We just left. The level of politeness of the servers(esp. the Senior one) changes towards the customer depending where you come from. I saw the over politeness towards the German couple, over heartedness towards Bangladeshi mother-son duo and the least possible for Indians(us). It was not even 4-5 minutes we had sat there, and the Senior server was in so haste and was impatient, that he also forgot to carry some politeness with him. He was so less in politeness that he was a just step away from rudeness. But just a next moment, he came back to the Bangladeshi mother-son duo, with a different demeanour and character altogether. He had smile on his face, politeness in his speech, and when the lady recognizes him correctly as Bangladeshi, he even gave them a Japanese style torso bend over greet and thank you. Meanwhile when I asked him about my order, when his gaze came on me, he made a weird patronising face indicating it will come, no word, no syllable, nothing just that blank weird face. The other jr. server was atleast better than him but he as well, was over friendly and expressive with the German couple than others. I have written this big complete story, expecting, this should not happen to anyone of any nationality going there, and if someone does not want go through what we went mentally, then please avoid. Irony is, the Restaurant name is Taj Mahal(The Indian Historical World renowned Heritage), but the people here, don‘t respect Indians. India is in just the name of the restaurant, nothing else. Atithi Devo Bhava( “Guest is like God”) something which an genuine Indian knows from the core, is something this Restaurant people have taken to a selective level of nationality.

It is one of the beautiful restaurants in the Park Transportation Center (Qarmash). What distinguishes it is that it accepts payment by credit card and has a delivery service. The restaurant provides a menu of delicious Indian cuisine that appeals to Arab and foreign tourists from everywhere. The restaurant staff is of Bengali Muslim nationality and speaks English and a little Arabic. The restaurant's prices are reasonable, and the food, its quality and taste, was great. My order was biryani rice, a chicken masala dish, and French fries. The food was delicious, except for the potatoes, which were somewhat strange in appearance. Parking is the downside of the restaurant's location, as it is difficult to get a parking spot

We ask for a table for two and while the waiter shows us the table near the window the owner gives him a whistle to let us sit in another one in a dark room near the wall even though there were better tables in the room. I don't know, the waiter's only interest was knowing which part of Italy we came from, which he wanted to communicate in his language to the owner or manager. The food wasn't bad. But I would give everything 0 just for the rude and disrespectful behavior

I visited it twice during my stay in Garmisch. The food is of good quality and taste. It is beautiful and acceptable. It is authentic Indian food. Only note that the prices are considered high compared to some neighboring restaurants.

I got the subzi kofta and alu curry along with some onion kulcha. Both curries tasted sour, as if they contained expired dairy products. And now my stomach is quite upset. The kulcha was also not good, but better than the curries. Do not come here, there are other indian restaurants nearby that are much better.

Food was very tasty and flavourful, there seemed to only be one(super nice and professional) server and he was totally on the ball with timing; it didn’t feel like our drinks or food took longer to get to us than any other restaurant. The atmosphere felt comfortable and I was able to talk with my family without feeling like we were being drowned out or needed to quiet down in any way. Menus were easy to read and included English translations, which was great for us on a personal level. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious food at a pretty fair price.

I had the worst dining experience ever. The place reeked of stale grease, and the decor was outdated and depressing. Service was painfully slow; it took forever to get our drinks. I'm very well known with the Indian cuisine as I have tasted them before but this place had the worst taste of Indian cuisine. I went there with 2 of my friends and had the worst nightmare because of the food. The foods weren't cooked properly, looks like they somehow warmed it and served it to us. Even the roadside street carts gives better quality. Very very disappointed 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎.

Worst food I have ever eaten. We ordered achari beef but they served some mixture of boiled beef with tomato sauce. Also we ordered tanduri chicken, it was full of turmeric powder and doesn’t smell like food. And the price is really high!! I don’t recommend the restaurant if you don’t wanna spoil your tour!!

The service was awful. It took over an hour to get the food and d the restaurant was almost empty. The wait checked on us at 60 minutes to tell us the food was coming. The food was okay.

A fantastic meal. You spend 10 days in the Allgäu and the best food you get is actually in an Indian restaurant. What excited me so much: the Paneer Tikka Butter Masala. You won't necessarily be wooed by the waitresses and the decor isn't particularly chic. But that doesn't matter at all from the moment you are served the food - but it's a clear recommendation.

Really rude staff , stupid person is taking order with attitude . He doesnt even know what chutney means and gets us green mayo and charged for the same. I would never recommend anyone to go here. Never again. I've had Indian food many times. This didn't have much to do with it. There was a lack of seasoning and there was hardly any meat in the dish. The naan was only half cooked. The service was the worst I've ever had. The delivery service was a disaster, had to call twice and then they got rude on the phone. People don't like that! There are other Indian restaurants here that are way better!!

Wir sind nur per Zufall hier gelandet, (Silvesterabend) aber dies ist wirklich ein authentisches und sehr gutes indisches Restaurant. Aufmerksamer Service und vorallem tolles Essen. Auch das Interieur ist gelungen. Wir kommen sicher wieder. 😀

We didn’t see any other customers since we went for a late dinner, that worked in our favor as everything was quick. Food was also tasty and authentic. Specify your spice level as medium spice level was apt for our Indian taste buds.

Ohje ohje... Ich kann das Essen nicht bewerten da wir hier nur "übernachtet" haben. Wenn das Essen aber genau so ist wie das "Airbnb" dann lasst lieber die Finger hiervon. Zur Übernachtung.... Das Zimmer was angeboten wird, stinkt ist dreckig und hat zwei Bett ähnliche Einrichtungen, mit wahrscheinlich 1000 Mitbewohnern, die einen Tage nach dem Aufenthalt noch begleiten. Von der Lautstärke her kann man auch keine Sekunde schlafen...sei es das Aufräumen des Restaurants oder Gebete in der Nacht... Wer seine Badelatschen vergessen hat... Ist kein Problem es stehen benutzte noch im "Badezimmer". Hierzu kann man nur sagen.... Raststätten Toiletten sind sauberer. Fazit. Essen will und kann ich nicht bewerten. Das "Zimmer zum Übernachten": spaart euch das Geld und schlaft im Zelt oder im Auto... Am ende komfortabler als in dem Stall.

Delicious food and service was also good. When four of us went on the night of 21st dec, it was already past 9pm and we were the only ones in the restaurant. But the waiter attended to us well and the food items were also tasty.

Sehr große Enttäuschung! Ich schreibe selten negative Bewertungen, aber in diesem Fall muss ich es tun! Seit Jahren waren wir Stammgäste in diesem Restaurant und fanden es immer großartig. In den letzten zwei Jahren hat sich jedoch etwas verändert. Vor einem Jahr waren wir zum Essen hier und mussten über eine Stunde auf unser Essen warten. Am Ende warteten wir sehr lange auf die Rechnung. Das kann zwar jedem mal passieren. Leider hat sich das Problem wiederholt, aber diese Woche war es besonders ärgerlich! Wir warteten eine halbe Stunde auf die Speisekarte, aber niemand kam zu uns. Schließlich ging ein Herr von dem Tisch neben uns, der schon lange auf seine Rechnung wartete, zur Küche und fragte, was los sei. Ein Mitarbeiter aus der Küche meinte dann, dass das Restaurant aufgrund zu vieler Online-Bestellungen keine Zeit für die Gäste habe. Der Tisch neben uns musste weiterhin auf die Rechnung warten. Unfreundlich wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass wir gehen könnten. Es ist wirklich schade, denn dieses indische Restaurant war für uns immer ein guter Ort. Doch jetzt werden wir dort nie wieder hingehen! Es gibt viele andere Restaurants, in denen man gut bedient wird und nicht nach Hause geschickt wird.

Visited in Oct 23. It was opposite our hotel so we decided to give it a try. We visited around 7-8pm and there was only 1-2 other parties there. We ordered the thali set for 2. Price was around 35 euros. Not cheap by any means, but compared to every other eatery around in an alpine town it’s ok. The food was surprisingly delicious and authentic and our bellies almost exploded kaboom from the meal. Came with a basket of naan and also rice. Would recommend for good Indian food.

We'd been there when the place had just opened for lunch. They might've been having an off day, but the main server/manager was rather loud and rude. The paneer pakoras were above average, really well marinated, but under fried and heavy on gram flour. Don't order the chai. Way too milky and low on flavor.

We had soup for starters, mixed vegetables and chicken saag for the main dishes along with Pulao rice. The food is quite nice! Service is good.

I came here late at night with my girlfriend after we had been travelling all afternoon and we saw this place from our hotel room window across the street. The food was truly exceptional. I have eaten Indian food in a lot of countries and in a lot of restaurants and this was one of, if not, the best plates of Indian food I have had. The food was cooked perfectly, with a great balance of flavour and spice. It is definitely catered more to a European palate so if you prefer your curry hot, just ask for some extra spice. The restaurant itself had a very pleasant atmosphere, albeit very quiet. Imagine alpine wood cabins with candle-lit dining meets Indian restaurant.

Im Taj Mahal wird man so freundlich bedient wie in keinem anderen Restaurant in Garmisch Partenkirchen. Das muss an der Entspanntheit der Inhaberfamilie und ihrem Personal liegen. Die Auswahl ist riesig, eine kleinere Karte wäre sicher ratsam. Die Speisen sind reichhaltig, die Schärfe kann man bestimmen. Es lohnt sich der weiteste Weg, wenn man einmal nicht bairisch essen mag. Das Ambiente ist einfach aber ausreichend zum Essen und sehr sauber. Wir gehen mindestens 2x im Monat dort essen!

تاريخ ٣-٩-٢٠٢٣ تعشينا في مطعم تاج محل في قارمش/المانيا ،. الخدمه حلوه والي ياخذ الطلب كان منتبه للاشياء الي طلبناها ،. والاكل نظيف ووصل الاكل فرررش مب بارد او دافي الباركنات كانت فري الي صوب المطعم او يمكن توقيتنا كان بعدد الساعات المدفوعه،. لانه مافهمت موضوع الباركن عندهم 😅😅 الاكل كان فيه شويه سويت مانعرف ليش خصوصا صالونه بتر جكن 😅😅

Service was incredibly prompt and kind. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, and would not order that again. It tasted more like tomato sauce than the typical Thai spices you usually get mixed in. The Samosas were also quite hard, but very tasty. Garlic naan was perfect. A little expensive for all of the affordable options in the area.

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Allerdings wir haben über eine Dreiviertelstunde auf das Essen gewartet. Obwohl das Lokal nur mäßig besucht war, erst nach einer Nachfrage bekamen wir unser Essen. Das Fleisch in den Gerichten war sehr sparsam verwendet. Portionen sind ausreichend, aber nichts für großen Hunger. Auf eine Reis-Nachbestellung, die „gleich“ kommen sollte, mussten wir auch eine Zeitlang warten.

Essen schmeckt nicht unbedingt schlecht, Wartezeit katastrophal. Lieferung noch schlimmer. Über 2 std gewartet und das Essen war auch nicht gut eingepackt die halbe Soße war gefühlt in der Tüte.

Das Essen ist wirklich sehr gut und ein Besuch ist empfehlenswert. Die Bedienung war sehr bemüht und man hat gemerkt, dass die vielen Rezessionen, in denen insbesondere die langen Wartezeiten bemängelt werden, einen Eindruck hinterlassen haben. Auch wir haben länger gewartet, als man es normalerweise gewöhnt ist. ABER, das gute Essen entschädigt dafür. Wir werden auf jedenfall wiederkommen.

Wenn man abends von einer Bergtour heimkommt, erstmal noch vom Fahrrad aus beim Heimradeln beim Taj Mahal bestellen! Sooo lecker!

Almost gave this 2 stars. We were told to wait about 30 minutes, but we ended up waiting over an hour. It would've been no issue surrounding the wait time if the communication was better. The restaurant was maybe 25% filled and the staff looked incredibly busy. The food was amazing though;)
