Bollywood Tandoori Indisches Restaurant in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

Very very tasty food, we will be back :)

We were a bit skeptical with the 4.0 rating but if you want true Indian food in Garmisch, then this place is a must visit. All vegetables we ordered were authentic north Indian style, something which we don’t also find in Berlin. We ordered veg thali and palak was too good, and kadhai chicken was delicious (tell them to prepare india style spicy). But the best part of authentic north india style gulab jamun - tried at many restaurants in Germany but this place has perfected it. If you like gulab jamuns, then DO NOT miss it here. Service was also great and ambience was hospitable.

Very romantic atmosphere 💫. The dishes we chose were delicious, and of the drinks I can particularly recommend the Mango Lassi. The service was very friendly 💫

Save yourself from disappointment. If you want to eat good Indian food, run from this place. Very sad food. Basic dishes like paneer makhani tasted sweet and tangy. Total disappointment.

We have been coming to this restaurant since 2000, and visit it every time we come to Garmisch. I ordered Garam Masala, my husband ordered Lamb Vindaloo, plus wines ( Gruner weltliner and a german red) and naan. The food and wine were excellent! The service was prompt, but not rushed. It was a very relaxing atmosphere ( not many other customers as it is between high seasons). We look forward to our next vist!

Essen super lecker, viel Auswahl und für jeden was zu finden. Nette Möglichkeit zum draußen sitzen, was auch nicht direkt an der Straße ist. Kellner sehr umsichtig und freundlich. Immer wieder gerne!

A staple for us as residents of Garmisch. Great food, kind people, and convenient location for us! I love getting the Thalis because they include naan and offer variety!

I must say the ambiance of this restaurant is really nice you almost feel like you are in India. The food is also delicious specially chicken. We tried kadai chicken curry, tandoori chicken tikka and Naan and all of them were good in taste If you like spicy food you can ask to make it spicy while ordering. Also rice is complimentary with curry so order accordingly. Price are also very economical.

I ordered food from Liefranco (Thalis vegetarian), it was well received, but I found onion peel and hair in the sauce I will not order from you again and will ask you to pay more attention to hygiene!!!

The restaurant is delicious, but the vegetables have a bad taste and look like pita or frozen vegetables. Our orders were: Biryani was delicious, Butter Chicken was delicious, and Masala was medium. Quantities are plentiful and the best thing is their outdoor seating behind the restaurant overlooking the river. Their morals are frankly not good, making them feel angry and not cheerful.

The food was ready quickly, but the naan was hard. The meat (I ordered a thali with chicken and beef and once vegetarian) was horrible. My son said it was "dog food". The rest was fine.

From my opinion and personal experience, I never liked the chicken butter. There is nothing similar to the chicken butter. It is just tomato and diya sauce. I have never eaten chicken butter so much. It is bad. The tandoori chicken was okay and tasted good. The restaurant was full of flies that licked my heart. To the point that a single fly decided to commit suicide in my husband's plate, diving into the living room. Cleanliness is yours. I eat and hear the employee talking loudly in the bathroom. The vibes of the restaurant answer my concerns. Frankly, it is old and its condition is in such a state that I do not recommend it. We ended up paying 26 Bahraini dinars. I hope it deserves it or is it worth it. Advice: Try the Arabisca restaurant, something interesting called it, in Qarmish Center. The owners of the restaurant are Shawam, and the food is very delicious, clean, and halal. You can eat while you are comfortable.

Tasty and friendly service. The restaurant is getting old and the decoration could also do with some work. Despite it: Overall, the food (palak paneer) was great and I would come back for that alone. 😃

I can recommend Bollywood to anyone who wants to try Indian food. If you like, the food can also be delivered, although it is cheaper to pick up the food from the restaurant. Otherwise the food was very good, especially the sauces tasted excellent. Will definitely order more often in the future.

This was such an unexpected find in the Bavarian Alps! Bollywood is serving up some of the best Indian food we have found throughout Europe and at such a reasonable cost. The chicken tikka and chicken makhni are our absolute favorite! We went multiple times over our trip to Garmisch and will 100% be returning again when we come back in the fall.

We've had Indian food many times, but this is by far the best! We have never experienced such a friendly and attentive waiter! Also big praise to the kitchen staff, the food was excellent. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back!

The worst ever food I had in Germany is from Bollywood tandoori. The food was total tasteless . Had ordered Chicken curry and tandoori chicken... The chicken was mixed with bowl of tomato curry... Worst restaurant ever...

Absolutely horrible Indian food. It was good years ago. What happened?

The food was far too sweet and still bland. Barely tasted any spice, which is what you would expect with Indian food.

We ordered chicken biryani. Unfortunately, the food is not good. The chicken is very bad. I do not recommend it to anyone.

This is a bad representation of Indian food. Many years ago it was very good. Do not take a chance and waste your money, it has gone down hill severely.

How is this restaurant getting any stars at all? The service is good, but the food is probably the worst Indian food I have ever eaten. The butter chicken is like eating a bad spaghetti sauce. Everything in the Thali was very bad. I don’t know what else to say. Good luck if you try this place.

The food that I ordered not bad, BUT IT WASENT Delicious, and there was a chance to get some better order and, but cuz of the bad service of the waiter and his helpless, also the menu was in german and i don’t know how to read it. The place is so underrated. The food was simply delicious specially tandoori roti. We ate more than one we should, haha!

We ate very well here. Chicken Tandori and Chicken Tikka. Plus green tea and a chai tea. The service was very friendly and attentive. We have felt very comfortable here. On a Wednesday evening 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m

A nice Indian restaurant in Garmisch. The lunch menu with the soup of the day and the naan is highly recommended! The service was also very good and always friendly and helpful. Kudos to the kitchen!

Ordered in and literally the worst Indian food I've had in Germany. It's a scam in the name of Indian food - ordered a thali - daal makhani (chana daal mixed in tomato sauce, which is completely wrong! ) , and the tomato soup was like cream and sugar in tomato. The naan and paneer kulcha were chewy and had a strange texture and smell, usually not how naan is. I am quite aware of EU standards to adjust spice levels but do not call it Indian food if you aren't even making the dish right. Would not recommend at all.

Good food , we recommend the tandoori mix and naan bread. Nice service. We were just a little disappointed with the rice which didn’t really taste anything Indian.

Tasty authentic Indian cuisine warm service good atmosphere

I have been a regular customer for many years and am thrilled every time. I've tried many Indian restaurants and this is by far the best! Can recommend the special tandoori plate and the thalis.

Their mutton vindaloo was wonderful, get the garlic naan, it's hot & fresh!

I really enjoy eating Indian food and of all the restaurants I've visited so far, this is one of the best. Very tasty food and friendly and attentive service. I always enjoy coming to Garmisch and the Bollywood Tandoori. Simply worth a visit.

A nice restaurant where you can have a good meal. The food is very tasty, the staff is friendly, the price-performance ratio is also very good and the ambience is a bit old-fashioned and Indian.

I went on holiday in Garmisch-Patenkirchen with a friend for 4 days, we ate there twice during that time. Very, very tasty food (even free Nan with the meat dishes) and super nice and humorous staff. I accidentally forgot my phone towards the end and one of the employees ran after me to give it back to me with a smile on his face. Overall very warm and pleasant atmosphere. 10/10

Tolles Restaurant und authentische indische Küche.

Ich war das erste Mal dort essen, weil ich gerne mal Indisch probieren wollte. Die Menschen dort sind wunderbar und wirklich sehr gastfreundlich. Das Essen einfach eine tolle Auswahl. Wer hier nicht satt wird dem ist nicht zu helfen. Für mich einfach ein tolles Erlebnis. Auch und ganz besonders, was den Geschmack der indischen Küche angeht. Ich kann mich wirklich nur dafür bedanken und empfehle es allen, die die pure Geschmacksexplosion der indischen Küche erleben möchten. Vielen Dank und gerne wieder.

Ordered via Lieferando. Special Tandoori platter was delicious, dal malkhani was disappointing and nowhere close to authentic. Vegetable jalfrezi and kadhai paneer were just alright.

Wir gehen seit Jahren ins Bollywood Tandoori und sind jedes Mal sehr zufrieden. Die Speisen schmecken hervorragend und authentisch. Unsere besondere Empfehlungen ist die Nr. 35 :-)) Der Service ist stets zuvorkommend und nett und die Preise sind vergleichsweise moderat. Im Sommer verfügt es über es einen kleinen Garten. Wir können das Bollywood Tandoori nur empfehlen.

Vegetarian thali was good but chicken vindaloo could have been better that's why I gave 4.The food was spicy as we asked for . It's a good place since we were late to the restaurant so the atmosphere didn't suit us as they were exhausted from serving all day which is quite understandable.

We ordered a meal that comes with a side dish but the delivery of the side dish was too late. Really disappointing experience and totally would not recommend anyone to go there.

Typisch indisches Ambiente. Wir haben für 6 Personen ohne Reservierung einen sehr schönen Platz bekommen. Sehr leckeres Essen, freundlicher Service und absolut faires Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und kommen wieder.

Myself and my partner are vegetarian, we went there on our first night in garmish, we had the veggie Thalia for two, six different types of dishes, rice and nan bread. it was so good we ate there four nights in a row. The prices are just unbelievably cheap, can't fault anything. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody who loves Indian food.

Pleasantly surprised to find a choice of Indian restaurants in Garmische and chose this one based on the TA rating, proximity to where staying and the menu. It was a good choice. The venue is very nice and the staff were good. Nice wine and the main meal was excellent! My partner and I shared a mixed tandoori plate with a curry sauce which came with rice and naan ( a real naan in my opinion!) The chicken on the plate was soooo tender and moist and the meal was excellent value for money! The only reason I haven’t given 5 stars was due to the starters we ordered! The onion bhajji was unlike any we have had before. It wasbasically very thin onion rings! Nothing wrong with them, just not what we were expecting and for us, a little lacking in flavour. We also ordered dry chilli chicken starter which unfortunately came in a sweet chilli sauce (so not as dry and spicy as we were hoping for!) But we made the choices and we still ate everything, it’s just when we do return, which we certainly will, we will choose different starters! Popadoms and dips were very nice too! All in all a nice experience and highly recommended!

We actually went in with 7 people on short notice, that wasn't a problem at all. we were welcomed friendly and treaded professional. Our 5 kids are from India and we can say that the food was very good. It's out pleasure to recommend this place!

Such a good place totally unexpected in the middle of Garmisch the most beautiful and delicious authentic Indian cuisine. We will be back!

I was finally able to bring my wife to Garmisch-Partenkirchen to visit Edelweiss after having enjoyed this lovely city/resort so many times alone. While we were able to get out to enjoy many restaurants, one day we were simply tired and opted to order in for. So, why not Indian, right? Bollywood was recommended to us by several people we met. The food was very good and arrived quickly. It was also packaged securely which kept the food warm. My wife and I ordered four dishes so we could share and have leftovers for breakfast. Yes, nothing beats Indian food for breakfast! We ordered the raita. It was delicious. I selected the Hariyali chicken Tikka as my main dish. This is a lime/mint green chicken that many Indian places don't carry. My wife opted for the chicken Vindaloo. While she liked it, it was made at the German spicy level, not the my wife spicy level. She enjoyed it, but wished the dish had more heat. We also split an appetizer of fried cheese. All in all, a simple process to order out and even easier to enjoy!

Wonderful food. During these times we have ordered a few times. All dishes are delicious. We had an Indian born friend at home, she ordered for us so we deiscovered more great dishes. Check out the vegetable dishes, they are all really good! Big selection of dishes and plenty of food, we always had enough for 2 dinners. Delivery takes a bit, but that is not a problem at all. This restaurant is our favourite in Garmisch. No doubt.
