Great cuisine and nice service. However, the ambience is not typically Indian. The restaurant is located in the Alpenhof.

The restaurant is delicious, and I visited it almost daily on my trip. It was on September 12, 2024, and I finished it on September 17, 2024. Except for Monday, it was closed for the weekend. I knew this place for the past nine years, but when I asked them, the employee told me that it had been changed only two months ago, and I ordered from them. On different visits, the shrimp biryani and Peter chicken are what I liked the most. Of course, the location will take you to the parking lot and you will go upstairs. The restaurant will be on the center and of course there will be outdoor tables directly overlooking the center. Its current location is better because the parking is in the center, meaning you can eat and walk in the center.

We are so happy that the Arabic/Indian restaurant "Akram's" can still be found in Garmisch. They just moved to the former “Alpenhof”. Even though we had to wait a long time for our food due to a lack of staff, it was definitely worth eating there again. The dishes we chose tasted fantastic. There was nothing left on our plates. We will certainly be pampered there again on this holiday. The staff was very friendly. Thank you.

The food is a large quantity and the taste is very delicious and precise. We ordered biryani, tikka masala, and fattoush, and all of them were delicious and better than the food of Indian restaurants in the Gulf. They have outdoor and indoor seating, and they have an Arabic menu. Stuff is grains and the price is a little high, but compared to the taste and quantity it is second to none. I highly recommend it, do not miss it.

The restaurant was not on site when I arrived

I was with my young children and when I entered, the worker, the mother of glasses, was feeling depressed. We sat while the children behaved according to their age, meaning children had to scream and move a little. Twice I spoke to them loudly. Our lives have been cut short and we have no problem with it. I came with my family at their new location there were waiters and she was wearing glasses. From the beginning she was unwelcoming and trying to force us to sit outdoors but we preferred indoors as I have small children and outdoor people were smoking heavily. My kids were being children. Little bit crying and moving the waiter twice talked to them in an inappropriate way without addressing the issue to us. We left the restaurant immediately as this attitude is unacceptable and I don’t tolerate such behavior.

Not too shabby! We had the duck, lamb, seafood, lamb curry, garlic naan, and dip dish. All great. Wish the curry had more heat.

I think this is the only "ethnic" restaurant in town. So if that's what you're craving then come here, as your choices are limited. Otherwise, try something else. It's a "pan-Asian" restaurant, with almost every country in Asia represented, but it leans more towards Indian and Middle Eastern overall. I rated this on a curve since we're not in a country known for its Asian food, and even still, it falls short. The food is below average and some of the dishes don't even pass close to the dish they're modeled after with some off flavors. The only dish that was decent were the fired spring rolls. We also found that the staff were unstinting and a bit rude. Their responses were curt and when asked a question, our waitress had an attitude and acted like we were asking a stupid question. The only good thing was that when we returned a bad dish, they were kind enough to take it off our bill. TL;DR - If you're really craving Asian flavors and can't wait until you're in a bigger town, then eat here. Otherwise, you're better off holding out for something else.

Absolutely dreadful experience. While the ambience and the menu had potential, the entire night was overshadowed by the incredibly rude staff and owner. From the moment we arrived, the hostess seemed annoyed we didn't have a reservation (even though the restaurant was half empty). Our server was even worse. long wait times, dismissive attitude, sighing, rolling eyes. It's a shame that such a basic element of dining out - friendly service - was completely absent. The food was average . However, with such a hostile wait staff, I wouldn't recommend to anyone. The owner literally came to our table and screamed because my child dropped napkins on the floor. If you're looking for a pleasant dining experience, look elsewhere!

Amazing find in Garmish didn't expect to like the food so well. But if you are looking for something different don't pass this one up. Lamb tagine was awesome. Lamb so tender it feel apart when you picked it up with a fork. And so flavorful!!!!

I was kicked by the female waiter with the glasses, she told me to leave, the restaurant was empty and she said the whole restaurant has been booked , I don’t why, but if the service is like this, to discriminate every customer walking in, this is a problem that need to be solved by the manager of the restaurant. Totally unacceptable and not respectful. I was excited to taste the food, I came all the way from munich , but after this situation I‘m not returning until the problem with the waiter is solved.

Nice and tasty Arabic Pakistani food. We were glad to find this restaurant. On our visit it was closed and we waited 2 days to get open and wait was worth it. Chef is Pakistani and he warm welcomingly greated us and offered us free tea after knowing that I also have same roots as his. They have tasty Arabic food and well cooked. Highly recommend. They also serve Thai dishes.

Disappointed. Not sure what there was "Indian " about this...perhaps in the UK we are spoilt, but I've had Indian cuisine around the world, and do expect that heady mix of spices and flavours. The chicken curry Vietnam was unmarinated strips of chicken in a bland sauce, with a hint of ginger. I expect as a minimum much more from such cuisine.

Wir kommen immer wieder wahnsinnig gerne zum Essensgenuss ins Akrams. Auch kurzfristig wird immer möglich gemacht, dass wir einen schönen Platz bekommen, obwohl es hier immer voll ist. Unbedingt vorher reservieren. Das Essen ist fantastisch und vielfältig, die Qualität und Frische spricht für sich. Service ist auch sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich und das Ambiente ist schön und einladend. Ob Fleisch-, Fisch-, Gemüseliebhaber, Vegetarier und Veganer, hier kommen wirklich alle auf ihre Kosten. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist völlig okay und angemessen. Bestes Restaurant für uns in GAP !!!
