Two days in Offenbach, two dinners at Tafelspitz & Söhne. Why? We think it's hard to find anything better. Many thanks to the kitchen and the service. Simply excellent 👍!!!!

The fries were very tasty, but unfortunately the burger lacked the flavor of barbecue sauce and was a bit dry. The beer was poorly chilled.

We had a delicious meal, and the server was very friendly. The atmosphere was wonderful.

Nice atmosphere, we were able to sit outside yesterday on a Sunday in the beautiful weather! The food was absolutely fantastic! The wine was excellent... I didn't expect to get wine from the Nahe region (where I live) in Offenbach (where I was born). The service was excellent: friendly, polite, and attentive! Keep it up 👍

My absolute favorite restaurant in Offenbach. The Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle) are very good. A real treat. Great location on Wilhelmsplatz, very friendly service. All in all, top-notch. Thank you.

We had a table inside for lunch and a very friendly waiter. Drinks and food were ordered quickly, and even our request to turn the blaringly loud music down a bit was promptly granted. Unfortunately, the volume didn't last long enough to allow for conversation. Since we were sitting alone in the corner, we ended up speaking much louder, which was no longer possible when new guests sat down next to us. When the food arrived, we asked the friendly waiter again to turn the music down a bit; it was really blaring in our corner. The friendly waiter left, and the music immediately became bearable again. Suddenly, the tattooed head waitress (mentioned many times here) came around the corner and "barked" at the completely astonished table next to us, asking what the music was all about. I immediately raised my hand and "admitted myself." With flashing eyes, I was told that the music had to be that loud on purpose so that people outside could hear it. My argument that I wanted to talk to my guest and not shout was met with a roll of the eyes, and then a whisper that I'd just have to sit somewhere else. We've had many birthdays, many get-togethers, and many celebrations at Tafelspitz, and the music inside is loud everywhere. After this incident, we'll be going somewhere else with family and guests in the future. We felt really sorry for the nice waiter, who wished us a good goodbye and a nice weekend in a very dejected manner. However, since this waitress has been there for years and has never struck us as very friendly, we will be avoiding this restaurant from now on.

After a visit to the market, I found a nice spot under the outdoor lighting. The service, food, and drinks were everything you'd expect.

Quiet seating, good menu, staff regularly made mistakes with our order. Once we pointed this out, it was resolved immediately. The food is good.

My last visit on Saturday evening for a solo dinner was just amazing. The gentleman who took care of me for the whole dining experience was so kind, friendly, and considerate all the time and I really, really adore the way you treat and care your people even tho they’re customers you meet everyday… Pls keep your warm and lovely energy with you because our society thesedays really need that kind of piece of kindness..🥹🌹♥️ Also the food was great! I’ll definitely visit this place again in the future when I’m in Offenbach.

Great restaurant, with dynamic staff right on the market square. The breakfast is 100% recommended, very great selection, really good coffee and the prices are good too! Lunch and dinner menus are good, unfortunately the quality is not that good. The schnitzel was tough and the side dish of fries wasn't convincing at all. We'll be back and if we work on it we'll give it 5 stars!!

This was my second time visiting this restaurant. Authentic and testy German food. Complementary bread was very dry, not well preserved had it been baked earlier in the day. Not going to take off a star for this as it came for free, but I always expect well baked bread/rolls to be served at any German restaurant in Germany, even it comes as a complementary. Hummus was great. Sliced sourdough served with the Hummus was done right, it was excellent. Hacksteak was superb..!!! The minced meatball was tender and juicy; very well cooked. Atmosphere was great given nice weather. I was lucky that there weren‘t too many smokers today.

The "Hessian Schnitzel" consisted of two thin, minute-sized schnitzels with raw fried potatoes. The food needed to be seasoned. Service was courteous and, after the faux pas, offered espresso, Ramazotti, and grappa.

Actually, it's quite tasty, but the desserts aren't that great. Still, they're quite sweet, and I think the setting is great, too.

We're from Hamburg and were looking for a restaurant that serves green sauce and Hesse specialties. We were more than impressed. The Tafelspitz (boiled beef) with green sauce was amazing. The Handkäs (hand cheese) with yogurt sauce as an appetizer was also fantastic. This was by far the best restaurant of our entire stay in Frankfurt and Offenbach. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely come back.

Always friendly staff and a great atmosphere. You can sit comfortably outside next to Wilhelmsplatz, and it's quite quiet. I eat there quite often with my father and can especially recommend the veggie tarte flambée for vegetarians. I've had it over ten times. The zucchini strips are very thin and the batter is very crispy. I can also recommend the pasta bowl for vegetarians. They don't skimp on the avocado, and the feta cheese is also delicious.

We went to Tafelspitz for day drinks today. The female-friendly setting was perfect. It started raining ridiculously, and we had to move from the terrace to inside. Everything was perfect except for the moment when the chef came out to yell at the waitress... I was really embarrassed for him... but otherwise, everything was very good.

The food, ambiance, and, above all, the consistently attentive and courteous service are reasons to keep coming back. Absolutely recommended!

The food was really delicious and the prices were reasonable. Unfortunately, the service was quite disappointing. The waitresses seemed unmotivated and annoyed, as if they simply didn't enjoy their job. We had to wait almost 90 minutes for a burger, while everyone else at the table had long since finished. Ordering more drinks was also difficult because sometimes no one came for an hour. No one felt responsible for paying. When we went inside, a waitress simply said, "You can't pay me," and left us standing there. The outside wasn't even full. It's a shame; with a little more effort, it could have been a really nice visit.

Waren gestern mit ein Paar Kollegen da. Leider hat sich das komplette Lokla echt ins Negative gewechselt.... Als ich letztes Jahr mit meiner Frau da war (August), gab es wirklich ordentliche Portionen und die Kellner waren wirklich sehr freundlich. Gestern war es das totale Gegenteil. Die Portionen sind wirklich sehr klein geworden (Preis/Leistung stimmt hier nicht mehr). Die Schnitzel sind mittlerweile so klein, das man sie aufn Teller beinahe suchen muss. Die Pommes so versalzen das man sie fast nicht essen kann und die Grünesosse war ein Klumpen und hatte wirklich nicht mehr mit Grünesosse zutun. Wir wurden nicht mal gefragt ob es geschmeckt hat, sonst hätte ich meinen Unmut auch kund getan. Aber es kam nichts. Beim bezahlen hatte man den Eintrug, das man uns schnell los haben möchte. Und noch was an die liebe Kellner. Wenn man Trinkgeld bekommt, sagt man Danke!!!....und fertig nicht einen ab und geht dann. Damit habt ihr euch bei mir uns aus geschossen!!!.... Danke für die totale überteuerten Preise und für die nicht vorhandene Gastfreundschaft!!

Simply one of the best restaurants Offenbach has to offer. Here the guest is king and can have a good time with delicious drinks and great food. :-) Super relaxed, competent service team that makes everything possible! We were just there. The Hessian boiled beef was tender, but a little dry. I give it 3.5 stars Plachuta in Vienna can do better. My wife had asparagus ravioli. Very tasty and innovative. 4.5 stars. The service was quick, friendly and effective.

We've been coming here for years. It's an absolutely great restaurant with a solid Hessian menu. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has decreased. Unfortunately, the service is no longer as good as it used to be.

Yesterday I was here again with my friends after years. The last time we were here it was very loud. But now we sat outside and got a nice table. My friends had a tarte flambée and a Kaiserschmarrn. The tarte flambée looked very good and probably tasted good too. The Kaiserschmarrn came with various compotes and was probably so rich that it was impossible to eat. However, it must be noted that she had already had lunch here. She was probably expecting a smaller portion. But not bad. My large minced steak with onions, fried egg and creamed potatoes was simply a poem! A good portion, the potatoes probably came from a jar. No chef peels like that. But still very good! The staff is very friendly and competent. The repeat orders were implemented quite quickly. All in all it was a nice experience, it wasn't the last time I was here. Thank you very much for the great support! Yesterday was just great again! We met again (on April 4, 2025) after four years and had a great evening. The staff is very friendly and competent, the food was again very good. If things continue like this, I will recommend the restaurant again and again. Good food, nice service, always friendly. Anyone who doesn't feel comfortable here can no longer be helped. Thank you very much for the lovely evening!

Today I was at Tafelspitz after a long break. It used to be an absolute favorite restaurant of mine and my family. Today the food was absolutely wrong. Potatoes not from the market like before, but from some Konvinient Store bag, disgustingly watery, floating around on the plate next to the green sauce. A Camembert in puff pastry was really inedible. We didn't eat anything and discreetly reported it to the waitress. She professionally cut the bill in half and said she would report it back. If it had been my first visit I would have given fewer stars. Since it was always good otherwise, I hope this was a blip.

The dessert and espresso were good. Overall, a great restaurant and a great addition to Offenbach's Wilhelmsplatz.

Were there for the first time today, a great atmosphere and a really great, courteous staff. We weren't entirely happy with one order, but without any problems and very nicely, we got another one that we could choose ourselves. The friendly service is not offered everywhere. Tafelspitz has always been a safe bet for good service and good food. I always went here when I had visitors. Unfortunately it slowed down a lot the last time I was there (September 2024). I hope that was a slip-up. However, a work colleague also told me about similar experiences. Definitely worthy of criticism. that with the veal boiled beef “Offe'bach” with roasted potato black pudding, the potatoes tasted as if they came from a jar or from a convenience store. Plus, they had barely seen the pan. They weren't more than warm. Definitely not a “roast”. Most of the black pudding still had the skin on it! What was also great was that it's actually open until 11 p.m. during the week. At 8:30 p.m. we and other guests were informed that the kitchen was now closed. (we had a reservation for 8 p.m.). At 9 p.m. people were already coming around and wanted to cash in because they would be closing shortly. When I asked why, since it was actually open until 11 p.m., I was told that it depended on the situation. I find this unacceptable! That's not how you treat guests. I can understand that if the store is empty you'll finish half an hour early, but it doesn't work like that! There really wasn't much going on inside but there were still people sitting at a few tables outside. Unfortunately, such a “service mentality” is encountered more and more often today. Dear TS team, I'm sure you can do better!

I've been enjoying going to Tafelspitz for years. I was very disappointed with the food on my last visit. A dish with snow peas. Could only find 1 in the food. Well, it can happen. Today I wanted to come to lunch with my daughter and grandchild (stroller). We were complimented in such an unkind manner. All seats were occupied??? The entire front restaurant was empty. But no room for us. It was the last time I was in this place. It's a shame that success has gone to their heads. A friend had the same experience. It's good that there are other places that are also good

Been there again after ages. The first time for breakfast. My special request was implemented without any problem, the waiter was super friendly and the price-performance ratio was absolutely reasonable. I'll probably come back more often before a doctor's visit.

This is the second time I've ended up in this restaurant in Offenbach. There were four of us for lunch. The menu has a lot to choose from, we were all very happy because it was so tasty again. I would especially like to recommend the homemade lemonade! The service is also friendly. I'm already looking forward to the next time!

A truly great German restaurant that's rare these days! The start was perfect: Fresh bread and a dip were brought to the table without us having to order. You rarely find that in restaurants these days, and I love this small but fine service. The portions are large, the food authentic, hearty, and incredibly delicious. Here you get real German food that's hard to find anywhere else. Add to that a great ambiance that's cozy and inviting, and the very friendly staff make the visit even more enjoyable. We'll definitely be back and are already looking forward to the next time! Highly recommended.

Authentic German Cuisine – A Delight! My visit to this German restaurant was a true delight! From the moment I entered, I felt welcomed. The atmosphere is cozy and typically rustic, which perfectly matches the traditional German cuisine offered here. The food was simply outstanding. The selection of dishes was diverse and included both classics like pork knuckle and sauerkraut as well as creative variations. The freshly prepared schnitzel was an absolute highlight – crispy, juicy, and simply delicious. The side dishes and sauces were also perfectly matched. The service was friendly and attentive. The staff took the time to explain the menu to us and made every effort to ensure we felt comfortable. The selection of drinks, especially the regional beers, perfectly complemented the meal. I highly recommend this restaurant and am already looking forward to my next visit. If you want to enjoy authentic German cuisine in a cozy setting, this is the place for you!

Always good. You can't really go wrong here. Only PERSONAL taste can change things, but there's usually something for everyone. Always top quality and fresh, and adapted to the seasons. And always innovative and exciting. Great.

Friday November 1st, 2024 Easy to get a table on your own. Served quickly and kindly. Food came to the table quickly. Tafelspitz (Classic) very tender, great! Vegetables super fresh. Simply good! I generally find these newfangled tables for two to be too small. I can't imagine sitting there comfortably for two people and eating. I needed the entire table alone, it worked.

The fact that I can still experience such a service in 2024 is brilliant. Yesterday there were four of us at Tafelspitz. The waitress was just sorting things out outside and we were greeted warmly. Once inside we were immediately shown our reserved table. In the The food was perfect. I don't really like eating German food, but the goose was great, as was the minced steak. We were kindly warned about the portion size of the Kaiserschmarrn. I give the service a full 10 points. Attentive, kind, and informative. They are also very dog-friendly. Food also 10/10, because we will definitely be back. The ambience is very cozy, although a bit loud. But that's what the ambience thrives on. Thank you for the great service, especially from all the waitresses. You contribute so much to a wonderful evening! It couldn't have been better. We'll be back.

Very nicely furnished, very nice atmosphere, we immediately felt at home. But then the downside: the Roman pilsner usually tastes better! It's too cold, has too much carbon dioxide and not enough "pilsner" flavor, probably simply poured carelessly. We all had the Hessian Schnitzel with additional green sauce and an additional side salad. By the way, the side salad is not on the menu, you have to ask for it - a bit strange. It is really recommended, tastes very good and is fresh and plentiful. The same goes for the green sauce - be sure to order it, even if it costs 4 EUR - it's worth it! The fried potatoes are good, but the schnitzel was a bit disappointing. It's overall okay, lean but out of the deep fryer and ultimately a bit dense, dry and lacking in flavor. A schnitzel simply tastes better from a pan! So the highlights were the green sauce and the side salad. In total you pay 24 EUR for the pork schnitzel with fried potatoes, green sauce and salad. That's okay. The waiter was friendly and nice. The restaurant basically deserves a recommendation, but some weaknesses still need to be worked on!

Wanted to buy a voucher on site today. My question was only answered with a wave of my hand towards a standee. The next question was also answered with the same hand gesture. Then came a "Only online, we have nothing to do with it, sooorrrryyy." I have nothing against online purchases, but a friendly, short explanation would probably have been too much service. I'd rather give something away to another restaurant...

I visited twice, as, not all restaurants in Offenbach are as welcoming as here, and, give me a seat at the bar as an unexpected solo guest. Food was good, very filling and tasty. Beer was plentiful, &, staff were very welcoming & attentive.

Unfortunately it wasn't that exciting. Almost 45 minutes waiting for breakfast. No special requests! Then one of the two dishes is wrong! Wait again. Asked before: ... are the eggs soft-boiled? Was confirmed twice. Lukewarm, unpainted Easter eggs arrived. Roll selection, oh well! It works better here at Wilhelmsplatz. That was the last time I had breakfast here for the time being.

We had a flight layover and went looking for some dinner. Found this place and had great food! The staff was fantastic as we did not know any German, so it was nice that we did not have to try and translate everything. We will recommend the restaurant to anyone coming to Frankfurt.

Schönes Ambiente und top Service. Essen (Putensteak) war sehr gut gebraten, die Champignonsoße fand ich persönlich etwas zu lasch. Schalenfritten hatten wir uns anders definiert (Fritten aus Kartoffelschalen, es kamen aber normale Pommes, wo halt noch bisschen Schale dran ist). Küche war ultra schnell und Getränkeauswahl ist klasse.

Nice atmosphere and top service. The food (turkey steak) was very well fried, but I personally found the mushroom sauce a bit too weak. We had a different definition of peeled fries (frits made from potato peelings, but they were normal fries with a little bit of peel left on them). Kitchen was ultra fast and drink selection is great.

If you're lucky, you'll get the food you want at normal prices and in the quality you expect. Bad luck for the guest who ordered a dish that the kitchen is not capable of. Then there is high prices, a disaster. The only salvation is in the drink. Unfortunately, the service is no different. Almost excellent and better not to mention it... Nevertheless, we always come back. Only one star...because there is no other way to rate it...

Breakfast on Sunday morning. We were a group of over 15 people and everything went professionally and smoothly when we made the reservation. The service, the friendliness, the competence was absolutely 5* - the choice of food and the taste were also 5*. Everything was perfect and we had a great family breakfast outside. Thank you! As a frequent guest, I unfortunately have to say that, first and foremost, the food has deteriorated a lot at the moment. TK schnitzel with TK sauce is definitely not ok. söThe wheat beer was warm and the Kaiserschmarrn wasn't as good as usual. I hope that things change again. 3 waitresses at our table, but no one really took care of us. That was my previous rating::::::No matter what dish... We were in the store today and we have been there many times. We didn't want to sit outside because there were a lot of bees outside. We were seated from right to left. When a friendly employee finally led us to a place we liked, the fully tattooed lady came up to us without being in the mood and chased us away. Do you have to keep an eye on everything? Does she want to watch us have breakfast or what should the statement say. We don't go there anymore and can no longer recommend this store because of this unfriendly person. It's a shame that such employees ruin everything. The CEO should think about using someone who doesn't even have a smile in the morning. Absolute NO GO for restaurants. NEVER AGAIN THIS STORE AND THIS RUDENCE❗️❗️❗️

We enjoyed the food. The knuckle was super crispy and the beef goulash was tender. Also visually beautifully presented.
