Tafelspitz & Söhne in Offenbach am Main

Wanted to buy a voucher on site today. My question was only answered with a wave of my hand towards a standee. The next question was also answered with the same hand gesture. Then came a "Only online, we have nothing to do with it, sooorrrryyy." I have nothing against online purchases, but a friendly, short explanation would probably have been too much service. I'd rather give something away to another restaurant...

Unfortunately it wasn't that exciting. Almost 45 minutes waiting for breakfast. No special requests! Then one of the two dishes is wrong! Wait again. Asked before: ... are the eggs soft-boiled? Was confirmed twice. Lukewarm, unpainted Easter eggs arrived. Roll selection, oh well! It works better here at Wilhelmsplatz. That was the last time I had breakfast here for the time being.

We had a flight layover and went looking for some dinner. Found this place and had great food! The staff was fantastic as we did not know any German, so it was nice that we did not have to try and translate everything. We will recommend the restaurant to anyone coming to Frankfurt.

Schönes Ambiente und top Service. Essen (Putensteak) war sehr gut gebraten, die Champignonsoße fand ich persönlich etwas zu lasch. Schalenfritten hatten wir uns anders definiert (Fritten aus Kartoffelschalen, es kamen aber normale Pommes, wo halt noch bisschen Schale dran ist). Küche war ultra schnell und Getränkeauswahl ist klasse.

Nice atmosphere and top service. The food (turkey steak) was very well fried, but I personally found the mushroom sauce a bit too weak. We had a different definition of peeled fries (frits made from potato peelings, but they were normal fries with a little bit of peel left on them). Kitchen was ultra fast and drink selection is great.

If you're lucky, you'll get the food you want at normal prices and in the quality you expect. Bad luck for the guest who ordered a dish that the kitchen is not capable of. Then there is high prices, a disaster. The only salvation is in the drink. Unfortunately, the service is no different. Almost excellent and better not to mention it... Nevertheless, we always come back. Only one star...because there is no other way to rate it...

Breakfast on Sunday morning. We were a group of over 15 people and everything went professionally and smoothly when we made the reservation. The service, the friendliness, the competence was absolutely 5* - the choice of food and the taste were also 5*. Everything was perfect and we had a great family breakfast outside. Thank you! Absolutely recommended!

We enjoyed the food. The knuckle was super crispy and the beef goulash was tender. Also visually beautifully presented.

We were in the store today and we have been there many times. We didn't want to sit outside because there were a lot of bees outside. We were seated from right to left. When a friendly employee finally led us to a place we liked, the fully tattooed lady came up to us without being in the mood and chased us away. Do you have to keep an eye on everything? Does she want to watch us have breakfast or what should the statement say. We don't go there anymore and can no longer recommend this store because of this unfriendly person. As a frequent guest, I unfortunately have to say that, first and foremost, the food has deteriorated a lot at the moment. TK schnitzel with TK sauce is definitely not ok. söThe wheat beer was warm and the Kaiserschmarrn wasn't as good as usual. I hope that things change again. 3 waitresses at our table, but no one really took care of us. That was my previous rating::::::No matter what dish... Everything was delicious... great service.. friendly service. Always worth it I'm curious

A very, very nice restaurant. Super attentive staff. The food was super tasty and really good portions. We had schnitzel and meatloaf, you could really lick all 5 fingers afterwards. Always nice staff and great atmosphere. You can sit outside very comfortably next to Wilhelmsplatz and it is quite quiet. I often eat there with my father and can especially recommend the tarte flambée veggie for vegetarians. I've probably taken it over ten times. The zucchini strips are very thin and the dough is very crispy. I can also recommend the noodle bowl for vegetarians. They don't skimp on avocado and the sheep's cheese is also very tasty

Flamecake, pork knuckle and sauerkraut gert lush. Great selection from the menu for vegetarians too, or so I'm told

Food was ok, had the sliced ​​meat, tasted average. Offering Kaiserschmarrn as a dessert for €15 is not only too much for a dessert in terms of price but also in terms of quantity. Unfortunately, it tasted rather cakey and too greasy, although it was beautifully served in a pan. The waitress, the lady with lots of tattoos on her legs, seemed to be having a bad day, no smile, no kind word. Very unfortunate.

Bei Tafelspitz gibt es eine große und leckere Frühstücksauswahl. Wir waren alle sehr zufrieden mit unserem Essen, dass uns auch relativ schnell serviert wurde. Den 2 Bedienungskräften muss man aber was über Höflichkeit beibringen. Antworten wie: "Ich hab ja nur 2 Hände!", wenn man ganz nett nach dem fehlenden Teller fragt, sollte man vermeiden... Nachteil wenn man im Außenbereich sitzt: ganz viele Wespen, die vom Essen sehr schwer fernzuhalten sind.

Really nice shop in downtown Offenbach. Parking is right next to it. The food was absolutely delicious and sufficient. The service was super nice. Everything went quickly and we sat well. Prices were ok too.

Cozy ambience, culinary home cooking with a modern upgrade. The dishes are always served very quickly, look super appetizing and taste sensational. The size of the portions also give no reason to complain. The waitresses are without exception friendly, competent and always helpful.

Fafelspitz & Söhne has a great location on the corner of Wilhelmsplatz, the restaurant is attractive inside and out. Staff was polite, attentive and can speak English. I had the Wiener Schnitzel und Salat. It's notable that the salad is very fresh quite possibly the freshest salad I've had at a restaurant. Great experience.

We sat at the outdoor table. (5 people) The portion was good enough and the atmosphere was great. Only 2 staffs were servicing all the tables at dinner time, so the waiting time was extremely long. We waited 20mins to be served the first drink & 50mins to be served our meals. However staffs tried their best and always smiling. They should accommodate more staffs especially dinner time. Overall I’d like to rate 4 star.

The ambience is invitingly modern with classic elements. There is plenty of space for larger groups and also smaller corners with a view of Wilhelmsplatz. There are also many places outside. The service is fast, friendly and in a good mood. It is always well attended at all times of the day, from all ages. The food combines classic German (Hessian) cuisine with new elements from other European regions. Everything was very tasty, no matter what I've enjoyed there so far. Tafelspitz is highly recommended for breakfast with friends or as a couple. Children and dogs are always welcome here.

My girlfriend and I wanted to eat there this morning. The waitress came to our table. Totally unfriendly, no good morning, nothing. We didn't feel comfortable and left straight away

I have been sitting outside more than 15 min waiting waitress to take the order and it's not crowded at all and left without an order. Its a shame the way they trait customers..

The Kalbschnitzel was great, and the Spaetzle was the best that I had sampled. Great vibe, friendly staff, and absolutely delicious food. Edit....9 months later and still fantastic!

Wow, this used to be the best restaurant in Offenbach. The food is terribly bad. The cheeseburger patties tasted very strange, like rancid convenience meat. 7 pieces of bones, let's be honest. Cheap frozen fries. 17 euros for that. There was a piece of foil at the bottom of the tarte flambée. Because of self-made. The prices have risen sharply, around 6 to 7 euros more per dish, which would be ok if they were edible.

I really like it here - the atmosphere, cool people and very tasty food - a “Green Max” for breakfast is exactly what I imagine in the morning when I want something more unusual. Everything perfect!

Yesterday I was here again with my friends after years. The last time we were here it was very loud. But now we sat outside and got a nice table. My friends had a tarte flambée and a Kaiserschmarrn. The tarte flambée looked very good and probably tasted good too. The Kaiserschmarrn came with various compotes and was probably so rich that it was impossible to eat. However, it must be noted that she had already had lunch here. She was probably expecting a smaller portion. But not bad. My large minced steak with onions, fried egg and creamed potatoes was simply a poem! A good portion, the potatoes probably came from a jar. No chef peels like that. But still very good! The staff is very friendly and competent. The repeat orders were implemented quite quickly. All in all it was a nice experience, it wasn't the last time I was here. We (2 people) were there briefly to have dessert, ordered a Kaiserschmarren, it was huge, we couldn't even finish eating but the service was nice and packed it for us ❤️❤️

I've been there several times and always been very satisfied. It's also nice to sit on Wilhelmsplatz. During my last visit, I had the feeling that the prices had risen exorbitantly and the quality of the food had fallen (fried potatoes barely seasoned and soggy, schnitzel very oily). Overall, in my opinion, the price-performance ratio was no longer right.

Warum hier so viele positive Bewertungen stehen, ist mir ein Rätsel... Bestellt hatte ich Spargel mit Kartoffel und Schnitzel; bekommen habe ich Verkochtes, das keinen Geschmack hatte und lieblos serviert wurde und zudem überteuert berechnet wurde. Don't!

Wir waren zu zweit in Offenbach unterwegs und es regnete und wir haben uns zufällig in dieses Lokal gerettet. Es war ein ein absoluter Glückstreffer, nettes Bedienung Und leckeres Essen. Wir hatten vorweg Kartoffelsuppe und Tafelspitzboullion , beides lecker. Danach haben wir beide den falschen Hasen aus der Wochen Karte genommen, sehr gute Wahl. Sehr empfehlenswert... Falls ich irgendwann mal wieder in Offenbach sein sollte werde ich auf jeden Fall dort wieder einkehren.

There were 9 of us today on Easter Sunday. The food was delicious. I had salmon with grilled vegetables with hummus. Highly recommended. Attentive and friendly service.

The food was lukewarm at best and the preparation was not brilliant. Service was okay; I would have been happy about a little more friendliness. The crème brûlée was nothing but crème brûlée. Still, what they served us was okay.

We had breakfast there and our avocado scrambled egg sandwiches were very tasty. My latte macchiato with oat milk was somehow too sweet but it was still ok. I really enjoy going there 🌸

Super delicious breakfast. Everything is very fresh and quality 1A. The naming is a blast. Friendly and fast staff. Furnishings and seating inside are totally ok. Sitting outside in good weather and the market on Wilhelmsplatz was great. Breakfast times are very good for late risers. Offenbach can be beautiful.

Have been to Tafelspitz a few times and have been mostly satisfied so far. Today I was served a cordon bleu that was raw. Although an apology was offered, no further service was offered, neither the menu nor a little something on the house. I felt sick all evening from the raw pork. Too bad, not again!

I had a very nice veal schnitzel plus lemon tiramisù. My advice is to try it!

The place is always crowded. They have different selections for breakfast, brunch and lunch. Verliebt in Berlin breakfast menu is the really good, even more than 3 people can enjoy.

The food is very good. But unfortunately the service ruins everything... The service is always unfriendly with a few exceptions. I think I've only had a waiter once who was actually very friendly. I used to go regularly and it has become less and less lately for exactly that reason. The last time we got a table at the toilet without making a reservation (which isn't a problem!! We didn't make a reservation either) was on a weekday (not the weekend or Friday!). After about 1.5 hours we finished eating and sat and talked. The waitress asked every 10 minutes if we wanted anything else, we politely declined. At some point she came to us and, without saying anything, slapped the dessert menu on the table, turned around and walked away again... That is not how it works. Of course we still tipped, but I'll never go back when the waitress rushes you to leave and slaps dessert menus on the table without saying anything... and during the week. I have given the shop a chance many times, but unfortunately the service is always passive aggressive (with one exception) - in a restaurant that is one of the more expensive compared to others on Wilhelmsplatz, this is a no-go. The food can be divine, but the stay can be absolutely unpleasant. Hence one star.

Sehr gutes Restaurant direkt am Marktplatz in Offenbach. Parkplatze direkt am Marktplatz vorhanden. Die Speisekarte ist vielfältig und beinhaltet auch viele regionale Spezialitäten. Das Essen war qualitativ und auch von der Menge sehr gut. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Unser Lieblingslokal! Wir kommen meist einmal pro Woche. Sehr nette Mitarbeiter und sehr leckeres Essen ☺️ Es gibt auch vegetarisches und auch veganes Essen. Empfehlen können wir besonders den Salat mit Ziegenkäse, die Trüffelgnocchi und den Hummus. Die Wochenkarte bietet meistens auch was leckeres! Unbedingt ausprobieren 👍🏻

Einfach großartig! Die Hauptspeisen waren köstlich, der Service war erstklassig. Aber das Highlight waren die Desserts – eine echte Überraschung! Sie waren nicht nur lecker, sondern auch wunderschön anzusehen.

Mein Fehler war es wohl, einen ruhigen Geburtstagstisch für 2 Personen zu reservieren. Es wurde uns ein ruhiger Tisch hinten in der Ecke mit einem kleinen Fenster mit Blick auf die Raucherecke und geradeaus mit Blick bis in die Herrentoilette hinein zugewiesen. Liegt natürlich auch an den Gästen, welche die Schiebetür zur Toilette nicht schließen. Das Essen war sehr gut.

Wir waren gestern wieder dort und waren sehr begeistert! Tolles Essen, schöne Atmosphäre. Die Bedienung die uns bedient hat (dunkelharige junge Frau) war ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam. Gerne kommen wir wieder!

Sehr hübsches Lokal. Das Essen war sehr lecker, Tafelspitz mit Meerrettichsauce und Wurzelgemüse sehr zu empfehlen und auch die Nachspeise sehr lecker. Einziger Abzug ist dür die Lautstärke im Lokal, aber das ist persönliches empfinden.

Immer wieder lecker, Hausmannskost aber auch neues und moderne Küche. Mehr als nur ein Besuch wert...

They didn't only have German food but kinda mix and match. I found that the food tasted good but not special, served in a generous portion with fair price. One of the service team that we met, was a bit unfriendly and didn't really pay attention to the guests. The atmosphere outside was enjoyable.
