The food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice. However, the server didn't even mention the tip when calculating the bill, and included it in the bill. We also tipped separately in cash. This double charge... Since when did tipping become a thing? Isn't silently charging extortion?

The food is fine, but they ask for a tip. If you don't, they look at you with disapproval. Sometimes, the tip is included in the bill. I don't recommend it.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant. My visit did not meet my expectations. The food was noticeably oversalted and did not match the menu description. The ingredients used seemed to be of inferior quality, and the burger patties, in particular, lacked an authentic meat texture, but were more reminiscent of processed foods, which is worse than McDonald's. My companion also had stomach problems after the meal, and I couldn't finish it all either. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I will avoid the restaurant in the future.

The food is nothing extraordinary. Quite tasty, but definitely way overpriced. You'll pay over €20 for a salad here, and if you want chicken breast, for example, it's another €11 more...

Very nice interior, great rooms. Comfortable seats, tables with plenty of space. That's it. The food is inedible. I've never eaten such a bad hamburger (cheeseburger) in my life! The appetizer – 4 pieces of fried eggplant on a pile of grainy cream cheese – was a joke for the price; the cream cheese wasn't even seasoned! My wife had the truffle beef ragu – that was the highlight! On a pile of pasta lay a few very finely chopped pieces of beef, no trace of root vegetables, no smell or taste of truffle, and it was completely oversalted! My wife complained. In 7 minutes (!!!!!) she got a new dish, apparently an old one – thoroughly rinsed, reheated, and seasoned with Maggi. The menu said "light sauce," but it was now brown – either Maggi or ready-made gravy. It tasted even worse than the first time. The service was pleasant and they invited us for a digestif after our meal. They can't be blamed for the poor chef. I can't recommend the place because of the very poor food, and it's a mystery to me how all the good reviews came about.

I went there once and then never again! The waitress started an argument with us about why we weren't paying by card and tried to convince us to use Revolut, even though they were supposed to just take the cash. Then she didn't have any change (I'm talking about a maximum of €50!!) and ended up giving us less back! Please hire staff who simply do their jobs and don't act like financial advisors and steal from guests!

The ambiance and location are actually very nice, but the prices are too high and the service is unfortunately very poor (arrogant/rude customer service and long wait times). The food isn't bad, but I've unfortunately had the experience at both Nova (in Dreieich – one of them) and here that the food needs a lot of salt. I usually only give good reviews, but unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant overall.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place. Shoe-like steak instead of medium-rare – the picture shows the best part of the meat, left to air for 10 minutes. This complaint was rejected. The €40 boiled beef was charged without apology.

We spontaneously wanted to sit on the terrace and had parked our bikes on the side. We hadn't noticed that we had to go in at the front via what appeared to be the main entrance and went over the knee-high rope to the side because there was a seat right there. The waitress made us wait longer, even though she noticed us. The three of them stood together and looked over at us. After several hand signals, a waitress finally came to us. The first sentence was not a friendly greeting, but rather a request that we should use the main entrance in the future because the staff would like to seat their guests. We apologized, saying that we hadn't realized that and were just happy about the free space right next to our bike. The waitress pointed out to us again in a rude tone that there would also be a sign there. I explained to her again that I didn't see that either and asked her if that was why she wasn't serving us for a while. Her answer was the highlight. "Honestly, yes, we wanted to give you a bit of a fidget." As is often the case, the sound makes the music. We got up and left. Apparently the home port no longer needs friendly staff. Unfortunately, the home port no longer works.

We have been enthusiastic guests in the home port so far - not only privately for lunch, but also regularly for business meetings with colleagues and partners. We really appreciated the good food and were also happy to support the restaurant for business. But today we experienced an absolutely disrespectful and unprofessional situation that shocked us. The restaurant – including the terrace – was completely empty except for a single couple outside. We sat down at a free table outside as a matter of course. Instead of a greeting, the administrator at reception immediately made an unfriendly, sharp comment: "There are rules in this store! You have to come in first and WE will find a seat for you!" When I told her that the restaurant was empty, the only answer she got was: “But if it’s full, then you have a problem!” Sorry, but what's that supposed to mean? We are paying guests, not supplicants. My business partner then asked the name of this employee, to which she replied: "I'll never tell you my name! I'm really good at my job." The bartender then chimed in with a comment like: “Quiet, girls.” – completely inappropriate, condescending and disrespectful. What a sad picture for a place that was supposed to be focused on hospitality and service. Instead of gratitude for loyal customers, we get arrogance and “house rules” that are apparently more important than humanity. Conclusion: Two regular guests and a potential business customer who would have left a lot of money at events in their home port - left today. Flop. Congratulations, Home Port – you have not only lost guests but also business opportunities due to unprofessional staff. And to the employee in question: Anyone who has no idea about hospitality should urgently change careers.

After 15 minutes on the terrace without ordering, you are reprimanded that you should have registered at the front (where unfortunately there was no one). That was definitely my last visit today.

Docked at the home port in Offenbach for a quick snack on the first beautiful sunny day of the year. Sat outside in a great atmosphere and nice, quiet seats. Bringing a small dog to the spot wasn't a problem; in fact, the very attentive service staff immediately brought a bowl of water. Drinks (e.g., detox water, passion fruit spritzer) were thirst-quenching, and the portion of fish & chips with French fries was absolutely delicious and generously sized. Conclusion: Highly recommended (it was just a quick stop in the afternoon), but the interior looked very inviting for the evening.

We celebrated our registry office celebration in the home port and couldn't have imagined it more beautifully! The food was excellent, the waiters incredibly friendly and attentive. All of our wishes were implemented without any problems and the planning was absolutely uncomplicated. What was particularly great was that we were able to use the separate room with a terrace and were allowed in earlier to decorate, with the team also helping us. Nice place with a good location, but overall the atmosphere is quite loud and cramped. The staff is nice, but there is still room for improvement in the service. I initially received the wrong dish and my food ended up only lukewarm, it probably sat around too long before it was served. The cooking point of my steak was exactly right, but a little more temperature would have been desirable. I couldn't really notice or taste the demi ice cream on my plate. Every now and then there were problems with the drinks, but one person behind the counter doesn't seem enough to me when such a large location is completely full.

Unfortunately, this "hipster" restaurant doesn't suit me. The whole place seems more "show than substance" to me. The tables were far too close together, and you could literally hear every word your neighbor said. Overall, the place is very loud. The service seems bored, and you have to wait for full glasses. I'm not sure about the menu either. I didn't like it. I think the younger crowd from the harbor district would find it more appealing.

ATTENTION! : Service and atmosphere is great. BUT food is terrible, I can’t prove but I’m confident they use the same cooking oil for every food they cook!

There were three of us last night and, as always, we were thrilled. We've been eating here for years when we want something special. We love the ambience. The food is wonderful. Our three dishes were all top. We had a surf & turf burger with fries...the patty was grilled just right, the shrimp was super tender. We also had the seafood stew. Mega, very fine and aromatic, very well balanced, delicious saffron tarragon sauce. The accompanying rice had been forgotten, But it was brought to you quickly and easily when asked...we're all just human. And we had pork chieks. Hearty and fine at the same time. For dessert we have beetroot chocolate ice cream with sour cream, chocolate nut crumble and berry puree...what a composition!!! The team from the home port did their best again and gave us a wonderful evening. Thanks.

The service leaves a lot to be desired. They don't seem to want to sell anything. When the glasses are empty, you ask if you want anything else. Or a dessert if the guest already asks for the menu.

The menu has become smaller for vegans. There used to be delicious falafel that was taken off the menu. Now just a vegan salad and a vegan dish. Better than nothing and still a shame that it was reduced.

We arrived in our “home port” for the first time today and certainly not the last time. Very pleasant atmosphere, professional, friendly service staff and the food was very, very good. Straight 5 stars!

It wasn't our first time in the home port and since it didn't look like we would be able to sit outside at first, we made a reservation in the restaurant. The service was a bit arrogant and preachy at the beginning, but this improved over time. Since we wanted to enjoy as many different dishes as possible from the really great menu, we decided - with one exception ('Fish 'n' Chips' as the main course) - for a combination of different 'small treats': the 'Macadamia Greek Salad' (great dressing!), 'Tuna Tataki' (on point!), 'Mango Prawns' (greatly presented!), 'Chef's Cut Tuna Tartare' (hand-cut!) and 'Fried Baby Calamari' (a good portion!). There were also a few of the very good homemade lemonades and a Sauvignon Blanc II from the Winning winery. It was all a completely fantastic culinary experience that you might not expect here: great and thank you very much for that!

Because people only ever take the time for a bad review, today we're taking the time for a good one. We ate in the home port for the first time in June 2023 and were thrilled. The service is attentive and very friendly. And the food was super delicious! After a long time we were there for the second time today (September 20th, 2024). Everything was just as good as it was a year ago! Very unusual these days - please keep it that way. We look forward to the next visit.

The home port could be so much better if it wasn't for the catastrophic service... There were six of us there and we had to constantly wait for the waiter or look for him if we wanted something to drink, who was always on the move (and then came back smelling strongly of cigarette smoke). The other waiters and waitresses only had an eye on the tables downstairs or simply walked past our table upstairs… When ordering our food, we had to point out several missing items, such as a separate sauce, a specially ordered vegetable, and the missing fries never arrived. In the meantime we were asked if everything was OK, but then the waiter wasn't visible again for 15 minutes and the others overlooked our empty glasses. We had our empty plates at the table for at least 20 minutes and they weren't cleared away. Even when we wanted to pay and tell a colleague because our waiter wasn't there again, it still took an eternity until our waiter finally came... We would have liked to order dessert or another glass of wine, but everything took so long and we were in a really bad mood... The food itself was really tasty, but didn't really make up for the poor service. At the end we gave feedback to the waiter, who then explained that he was new and had actually been assigned to the lower tables... That could be true, but then you don't constantly disappear to smoke and should be better trained by your colleagues and/or the colleagues have to keep an eye on the tables in the upper area.. We will go somewhere else as a family in the future, what a shame!
