Food: The food was delicious and perfect for sharing with friends and family. The portions weren't huge, but there was a very good selection of side dishes available for an extra charge. Vegetarian options were also available! Service: The staff were friendly and frequently checked on us to make sure everything was alright. When something was missing from our meal, it was brought out very quickly. Atmosphere: The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a very cozy atmosphere. Tables by the wall/window also offer a kind of bench with plenty of cushions, making it comfortable to sit for a while. We even stayed after our meal and enjoyed a pleasant conversation. Conclusion: All in all, it's a great place to eat Mexican food. Given the location, the menu isn't exactly cheap. I will definitely be back.

The food was tasty in itself, but unfortunately the tacos were too greasy and fell apart quickly. Otherwise, the meat was really well seasoned and there was a good selection for vegetarians as well.

Really great tacos and quesadillas. I tried their Vegan options twice, once at the cart in front of the Wohngemeinschaft and one time at the restaurant near the Rhine. Both of the times the food was spot on, their salsas are really great Mango Habanero is a good hot sauce. Thats being said i think I would prefer their cart location over the restaurant since it's a bit cheaper than the restaurant for the same food, but they only offer vegan options at the cart and both options at the restaurant. I tried the food with some of my Mexican friends and they liked it a lot.

Food: 7.4/10. A cool restaurant near the Rhine with good food (the tacos were a bit below average and expensive), friendly staff, and good coffee. I found the baked potato and the small baby vegetable salad with Caesar dressing (?) a bit unusual with the tacos.

Okay, hear me out. This is THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD PLACE IN EUROPE. I come from Guadalajara, Mexico and I couldn’t believe how good this was!! And service like no other really. PLEASE order the Birria tacos if you want to know what love is.

Beautifully situated. The terrace must be lovely in summer. Inside, it's a bit cramped and very noisy. It gets emptier and significantly quieter after 9 pm. The tacos are excellent, and they are very accommodating to dietary needs (celiac disease). The long drinks are a bit different than usual but very tasty (you absolutely must try the Horchata Manchada).

It's been on my list for ages, I finally went yesterday, and it was a complete disaster. When we arrived about 30 minutes after opening, half the place was empty. We were seated at a sticky, wobbly table with high chairs right next to the kitchen. When we asked, we were told all the other tables were reserved. Okay, so we asked if we could order takeout. They said it wasn't possible for tacos, as they didn't have the packaging. Oddly enough, 5 minutes later a Wolt driver arrived and took away tacos that can easily be ordered through the app. I used the roughly 20-minute wait to watch the guys in the kitchen. The tacos and tortilla chips came from a bulk bag and weren't homemade, which, in my opinion, is unacceptable for a place like this. The service staff was slow and more preoccupied with hugging people than doing their jobs, so many plates sat on the counter for 5 minutes before being served. Our tacos were eventually nicely presented, but the taste was underwhelming. It's basically just tearing open bags and throwing things together. It lacks aroma, freshness, juiciness, depth of flavor, and authenticity. The prices charged are completely disproportionate to the quality of the food and the meager service. The ambiance is lovely and located right on the Rhine, but the furniture is utterly uncomfortable.

It was very loud when we were there on a Wednesday Evening, so that a conversation with other people on the same table was difficult. The food was good and the staff was nice and accommodating.

If two people want to eat tacos, the menu allows you to order 10 tacos (5 different kinds). If you want to eat tacos alone, you can only order 4 of one type. I've eaten tacos many times, but I've never seen such an inflexible menu. When I asked, they refused to make an exception.

I went to Los Carnales Taqueria on my birthday. I had a reservation for 5 p.m., and they didn't tell me on the phone or in the restaurant that we had a time limit, as a larger group was arriving after us. We were then asked to leave around 7:30 p.m. without knowing whether we wanted to stay, which is a shame. The food was okay and actually quite tasty. Unfortunately, it was overpriced, and if you're looking for authentic Mexican cuisine, this restaurant doesn't quite fit the bill. Otherwise, the location is very nice and cozy. I would come back for the drinks and the guacamole :)

Beautiful place, I loved the tacos and service very friendly.

The food is truly delicious, but also very expensive. For my girlfriend's birthday, we brought a small cake, which we planned to cut together after dinner. When we asked if we could temporarily refrigerate the cake, we were asked to pay €15 for it – plus the cost of plates and forks. To be honest, this shocked us. It was clear that the waitress felt uncomfortable telling us this instruction from the manager. I actually really enjoy eating there, especially the tacos, which are excellent. But on this day, not only were the prices high as usual, but the hospitality was also disappointing. It seemed as if the main focus here was on money. Since then, I've been reluctant to go there – the experience has unfortunately left a bitter aftertaste.

We were your guests on September 7th at approximately 1:30 p.m. Unfortunately, we discovered that the service was extremely disrespectful. After we sat down, we weren't even noticed for over 20 minutes; the table was still full of empty plates and glasses. Our polite request to clear the table was met with a roll of eyes. It wasn't until about half an hour later that a waitress (not the friendly lady with glasses) appeared. When we pointed out that we had already been waiting a long time and that guests who arrived later had already been served, we received the response: "Nobody is forcing you to eat here." This kind of tone and service is completely unacceptable. Hospitality looks different. We're certain: Never again!

I went to a Mexican restaurant in Cologne with my brother right on the Rhine. The atmosphere is really nice and inviting. We ordered tacos – I haven't had such good food in a long time, highly recommended! The cocktails were also really delicious and went perfectly with the food. The service was very friendly, although we were forgotten at the beginning and it took almost two hours for the food to arrive. That somewhat dampened the fun. All in all, a very successful visit – great food, delicious drinks, friendly service, and a fantastic location. I'd love to come back! 🌮🍹

Edit 2: Too bad, unfortunately, it's over for me now. Tabla del Carne is no longer available, and the regular prices have already increased significantly again. These days, you easily have to put down €30 to feel halfway full; one portion is unfortunately not enough for the average eater. The four tacos are more of an appetizer. The taste is still good, but the price/performance ratio is just not right for me anymore. Edit: Unfortunately, there are very few sauces these days. Prices are still quite high. Tabla del Carne has gotten worse: for example, instead of "real" ceviche, only the mushroom version is included. Good food, free sauces, and friendly but unfortunately not particularly attentive service. The regular portions are a bit too small for the price. Table del Carne is a bit more expensive, but it's also something for those with a big appetite.

It's the closest thing to eating in my beautiful and beloved Mexico. The tacos are delicious, the michelada is an 8 out of 10, and I honestly don't recommend their horchata. The prices are a bit high, but it's worth it.

The most authentic Mexican restaurant I've discovered so far. While there was a rather long wait (about 50 minutes) for just one main course (taquiza de carne) for two people, they thoughtfully offered nachos with guacamole on the house as an apology. The taste can't be topped and I absolutely recommend it!

I'm reviewing from the perspective of a vegan: I didn't find the selection of vegan dishes particularly extensive. I opted for the vegan chorizo tacos, but they were unfortunately too spicy for me, so I couldn't really enjoy the meal. The service wasn't particularly attentive; we had to wait a relatively long time for someone to come to our table. The prices are a bit high in my opinion, but that's certainly due to the beautiful view and location right on the Rhine :)

A busy taqueria with a great view of the Rhine. The atmosphere and clientele were very pleasant. The staff were friendly, but unfortunately often too focused on the individual table, without even raising their eyes for further orders. The food (tacos in this case) was okay, but nothing spectacular. Certainly due to the location, you'll have to budget a few euros more; however, 10 tacos for €46 is quite ambitious and not really sufficient as a platter for two. However, I find political messages in the form of signs indicating the direction of potentially degrading refugee shelters or deportation centers to be inappropriate for this place (and the occasion). By this, I expressly don't mean the discussion that would be had about it, but merely the discussion itself. Otherwise, you can certainly spend a pleasant evening here and have fun with a few people.

Everything was great, I just wish they'd have Lengua tacos for a longer period, or even for several seasons like summer. But they were very friendly, warm, and highly recommended. Congratulations!!!

The food was delicious, and I liked the feel of the interior. Both the food and drinks were authentic. While sipping the margarita and eating, I thought of Cancun, where I've had the pleasure of vacationing four times. I would love to come back again.

Unfortunately disappointing, not recommended! When we ordered, we were told that take-out wasn't possible: The food had to be brought to the table first and then wrapped. Sounds inconvenient, and it was. The salsas you'd expect from Mexican food were completely missing. My girlfriend was completely ignored by the waitress. No hello, no look, nothing. And what's particularly cheeky: They seem to take the tip themselves 😄 The food itself? Unfortunately, tasteless, unloving, and absolutely disappointing. Charging €80 for two quesadillas and a couple of tacos is completely excessive. And as if that wasn't enough, we had to wrap our food ourselves in cling film at the table 🤏🏼 Conclusion: Value for money = minus three. We definitely won't be coming back.

I returned the next day for dinner – and what can I say? I was completely thrilled! The service was first-class: super friendly and attentive staff made the visit even more enjoyable. As a Mexican, I can confidently say: This is, for me, the best Mexican restaurant in all of Cologne! The tacos were incredibly delicious – fresh, flavorful, and exactly as they should be. The nachos were also a real highlight. I will definitely come back and try the entire menu. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Mexican food!

Very tasty food and very good margaritas. It was very crowded, so service wasn't 100% efficient. The fact that there are only two restrooms is a bit unfortunate for a restaurant of this size. We had a good time.

I really liked the food and the margarita. The meat was top-quality. We had the 10-piece mixed-taco platter for €46 (very expensive). There was a lot of atmosphere on the bar terrace, and we had to wait about 20 minutes in the beer garden next door, but we were quickly notified.

Mexican food in a modern setting – the selection is good and the food is very tasty. It's nice that you can choose from a variety of Mexican beers. The place definitely has flair and is beautifully located, right on the Rhine – but if you're looking for peace and quiet, this isn't the place for you! The restaurant is bustling and lively, and accordingly a bit noisy.

We were here for a Mexican friend's birthday. It was really nice to sit outside in the summer – the atmosphere by the Rhine is super relaxed and pleasant. As for the food: According to my friend, it wasn't particularly authentic. She only really enjoyed the pastor taco. The birria and pollo pibil were rather disappointing. On the other hand, there was a large and nice selection of drinks, and the service was okay – nothing special, but fine :)

The service is excellent. The food is a complete tragedy. Anyone who's ever had a good Mexican meal knows what they're missing here. You really end up wondering why you came here in the first place. Unfortunately, the table was sticky, and the weird plastic flags on the ceiling ruined the otherwise relaxed atmosphere.
