To say the food is delicious would be an understatement. The price-performance ratio is excellent, and the quality of the food is top-notch. The atmosphere is inviting, and the staff's hospitality makes the time fly by.

The food and cocktails were delicious, however, the portions were always too small for my husband. Despite not being very busy, the service was slow and the wait times were rather long. The restrooms are awful, if you can even find them. I would like to give a better rating because it's very authentic.

I didn't know the food could be so bad; 2 stars for the friendly service and location.

Hands down the best Mexican food I’ve had in Europe. I’m from California, and I really miss the Mexican food. Almost everything I’ve had in Europe has been in the range of disgusting to passable. But this place was very good. It is a bit pricey, but I think 4 people could have eaten what we had ordered for 2. Just the nachos would have been enough to fill us up, but we wanted to try a free things since it was our first time there.

We were here for the second time this year. The Passion Mule was delicious, the authentic tacos fantastic!! Highly recommended.

We ordered through Uber Eats. The food was delicious and the delivery was very fast, but the value for money was poor. The burritos we ordered were very small for about €15.

Authentic Mexican cuisine! I found here the genuine taste of Mexican food that I've only experienced in Mexico. The only problem: the restaurant is too dark. Please consider using brighter bulbs, thank you.

He had no manners how to talk with person

There were three of us, and we had dinner here. I had the Casita Bowl with grilled vegetables. Unfortunately, there was very little rice, hardly any beans, and some of the lettuce leaves were brown and not very fresh. The most annoying thing, though, was that after a bowl that cost over €15, I was still hungry because it was so small 😢 Great atmosphere and a cool place, but the food really didn't impress us, especially for the price.

We spontaneously decided to eat here for the first time. The food was very good, and the cocktails were delicious too. Unfortunately, they didn't have a Fachitas pan on the menu. Highly recommended.

This place was a great experience. We lived in Arizona, USA and this is one of the best Mexican food we ever ate. So Delicious, 100% recommend this place.

When I'm in Cologne, I like to eat at least one meal there! The atmosphere is very Mexican, the food is great, the prices are reasonable.

The atmosphere is very warm, nicely decorated, and not at all noisy. Unfortunately, we waited half an hour for our order. The tortillas and salsas were very good, but the meat lacked any flavor.

We are here and were initially excited. We ordered a plate of nachos for my son, understanding it was a mix of 3 cheeses. When they came out, it was a Velveeta style gooey cheese covering most of the chips with a few sprinkles of the "real" cheese baked on top to make it look nice. Once the top few pieces were removed, it was just a glob of cheap, bad flavor "cheese product." Some of the chips were burned, as well as the small patches of real, shredded cheese. I asked to send it back and have it remade because none of us can eat it with that texture, bad flavor, and frankly very cheap product. The waiter told me it is was not his mistake to order it, it was mine as I read the menu. I should have known. So he cannot take it back. I asked to have it remade, he shrugged and walked away. The quesadillas were also just meat and tomatoes/onion, not cheesy as expected. The food took 30 minutes to come out, 2 ordere of quesadillas and 1 plate of nachos, and was overall very disappointing.

A bit small and cramped. There were eight of us at a table for six, and there was also a large group next to us. You had to make arrangements if someone wanted to get up. The food was good as usual, but not as plentiful as usual. Despite the restaurant being full, the service was very relaxed, and accordingly not rushed.

Casita Mexicana has always been a restaurant we've loved, because it truly made us feel like we had a little piece of Mexico in Germany. However, unfortunately, our last two visits (especially to this location) left a very bad taste in our mouths. The food is still good, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. On our previous visit, we understood the restaurant was full and there was probably a lot of stress; even so, the waitresses' treatment was appalling: rude, indifferent, and with an attitude that made us feel even attacked. We had reserved a table, and when we arrived at the restaurant, the waitress told us there were no reservations. She even questioned us, insinuating that maybe we didn't know how to make one because nothing appeared in their system. Her way of saying it was so humiliating that it left us with a bad memory. Yesterday we gave them another chance, this time when the restaurant was relatively empty, but sadly the experience was the same: a rude, unsympathetic waitress, and unpleasant treatment. Every restaurant, branch, or business that claims to be authentically Mexican and wants to showcase Mexican culture in Germany should also take care of its customer service. In Mexico, we have a reputation for offering wonderful service: friendly, cordial, respectful, and warm. However, in this restaurant, it seems like the Mexican girls are doing their jobs reluctantly. If they don't enjoy customer service, maybe they should do something else. It's often said that customer service in Germany is terrible and unfriendly, but in the years I've lived here, I've never been made to feel as bad as my fellow countrymen did yesterday at Casita Mexicana. We are Mexican, and we truly appreciate seeing Mexicans abroad do well; that's why it pains us to write this. Sadly, it will be the last time we visit Casita Mexicana. Furthermore, the prices are quite high for the portions served. We are leaving sad, upset, and disappointed. If anyone is looking for an authentic experience, we would recommend looking elsewhere.

A stylish Mexican restaurant. A very casual atmosphere with super friendly service. Delicious beer, good Mexican food, almost like being on vacation.

It was a good opportunity to try Tex-Mexican dishes. It was also tasty, but I didn't like the toasted burrito as much. It tasted a bit sour, and the filling was a bit smaller than in other restaurants. The plate was presented very dryly (see picture), so it didn't look very appetizing. The restaurant is very cozy and in a great location in Cologne. The service was very friendly.

The restaurant pushes the blame onto uber eats and vice versa. When Lieferando worked it was ok. Edit: I've since ordered delivery with Wilt and it's back to its usual awesomeness. Also I was there in person the other day and the service was great. Food was great too but that's granted.

Very atmospheric place, cozy and beautifully designed. Nice friendly service, English menu available. We tried quesadilla and burrito and they were savory and tasty, the classic Margarita was perfect, the brawny delicious. The flan was a tiny bit too dense, but fine anyway.

Service fluctuated between unfriendliness and rudeness—the staff would be better off working at the tax office than in a restaurant. Only partially delivered, but the full bill was still issued—and the bill was corrected without apology. The food was "okay," but tiny portions, and the prices were high—courageous, but unfortunately not in a good way.

Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed overall. The service was not very friendly, and my request for the meal without cilantro was simply ignored. At least the food arrived very quickly, although unfortunately, it wasn't particularly hot.

This place used to be my favorite burrito place. The food still tastes great, but the portion size has halved. You can't be serious, can you?!

I've been to Casita Mexikana several times now and can only recommend it. It's always difficult for me to decide because everything sounds so delicious – and ultimately, it actually tastes delicious. The service could be a bit more attentive and maybe ask if you'd like something else to eat or drink. Otherwise, everything was great.

The food, ambiance, and service were very good. We had the tacos and the vegetarian quesadilla. There's a very large selection of fillings, but unfortunately, there aren't enough vegetarian options. If you don't want spicy food, you're only left with one or two options. Otherwise, the meat selection is very varied. The salsas are also very tasty. The ambiance is nicely decorated with a Mexican touch. The price-performance ratio is okay. I would have liked it if there wasn't a surcharge for different fillings. At €16 for the tacos, that would definitely be bearable. Otherwise, everything was great; I highly recommend it for good Mexican cuisine.

We ended the evening last night at Casita Mexicana in the Belgian Quarter. The terrace has plenty of seating and is beautifully decorated. The food was great; we had a little of everything so we didn't miss a thing. Everything was beautifully presented, and the ingredients were super fresh. The service was great; the girls always kept an eye on when our glasses were empty, and at the end, we even got a takeaway box because our eyes were bigger than our stomachs 😊 Another advantage over other restaurants: They have Estrella Galicia on tap 😋 We'll definitely be back 🍹 ☀️

Service was attentive, but consistently distracted. Not unfriendly, but a "don't care" attitude. The food was tasty, but the portions were small. I think I'll try again another day.

After a long search for a good restaurant in Cologne, we wanted to try Casita Mexicana. The ambiance is quite nice, the service was okay, but there's still room for improvement. The most important thing, however, is the food. When you order it and it arrives, you think it's going to be good. When we finally got our tacos, however, it was a disappointment. The taco bread/tortilla tasted like it had been warmed up and then left to cool again. The contents were okay, but not outstanding. And unfortunately, the taste of the bread overpowered it. What a shame; we really had high expectations.

Great music, an incredible atmosphere, and above all, every time I come to the city, I'll return for a spectacular meal. I'm Spanish, and thanks to this place, I felt Mexican for a few hours. 100% native food with very pure flavors, true to the land of carnitas and tacos. 11 out of 10, very solid.

Unfortunately, food allergies are not catered for at all. The waitress suggested the red salsa (supposedly without cilantro), but then they brought the green salsa. When we asked, the waitress said, "We can't make it without cilantro, it all comes from the same kitchen." At that point, however, two dishes were already on the table. We could have discussed this beforehand; I specifically asked what I could eat, as I have a severe cilantro allergy. Great communication. We won't be back. The quality of the drinks (Mezcal Margharita) also leaves something to be desired.

We went early on a Saturday evening and chose to sit outside even though there had just been a thunderstorm. Inside was also really cozy and pretty busy for that hour. The lady that seated us was a bit cold but our orders were taken and served very timely. We didn’t order the chips because we could see they were store bought, instead to start we got mini quesadillas in the blue tortilla, and tacos for our main. Between my friend and I we tried two different vegetarian options, 1 beef and 1chicken and we were happy with them all. It was the most authentic taco experience I’ve had in Germany. We also had the hibiscus drink and lemonade which we liked. I would definitely come back if I was in the mood for Mexican food.

Highly recommended! The food is fantastic, tastes really fresh and delicious. The dessert is also very, very tasty. A large selection of drinks, both bottled and draft. The service could be a bit more attentive; we had to ask for our attention several times, and my order was even completely forgotten once. But with such delicious food, you can overlook that. 🙃

I ordered food there. Some things were forgotten during delivery. It can happen, but when I called to inquire about it, I was fobbed off with, "There's nothing I can do, bye." Very poor and incredibly unfriendly service!

FYI: I ordered online, so this is solely about the Food Quality. Because they got my order wrong, I got my money back. Image being upset enough to still write a bad review... When I looked inside my 15€ Taco box I was stunned. two puny little tacos, barely filled. Is this supposed to feed someone? Luckily I got a burrito. "Luckily" I thought, before it all went downhill. When I bit into the, absolutely carelessly wrapped, burrito I had to find out the hard way, that it was filled with 50% ice berg lettuce. So 50% of the burrito was a tasteless, watery crunch. Where in Mexico has anyone ever had anything like this?! It's supposed to be juicy, full of taste. Flavors bursting out of the meat and sauces. You want that? Well your'e not getting that here. I had the Pastor Burrito, in case you wanna give it a whirl yourself. honestly 30€ for that? I would've cried all night long. The Tacos have potential, the whole place does. But they gotta dig deep to create something to be proud of. Until then, peace.

Yes, the respective missing 1 point, because there is a difference between totally perfect and quite good. The food was tasty, but I found the price a little too high. The service staff were friendly, but what irritated me was that the German-speaking service staff were talking (speaking) to each other in Spanish directly in front of the guests. This gives me as a guest a feeling that I found very unpleasant. We sat outside and I missed the trained eye of the service staff when it came to the cleanliness of the assigned tables and chairs. As a handicapped person, going to the “town” was an extremely challenging event. No continuous handrail; no stage resembled the following; sometimes short step, sometimes high step, tight curve... We were there with friends and so we made our evening as enjoyable as we liked. Overall, it's a good meeting place, sociable, friendly and entertaining in the middle of a busy, sociable Cologne corner bar...

We were there with a group of 10 people. Even though it wasn't full, the service was very slow. After ordering the food we had to wait a total of around 1 hour. What came next was mostly more than disappointing. Only the tuna dip with the nachos was really delicious. Everything else was very small in portion size and carelessly prepared. It was unclear to us which fresh ingredients should be used there. And you expect more from a mixed plate where you get a little bit of everything. Sticky tortilla, tasteless content certainly doesn't leave you wanting more! But the ultimate audacity is that you order Coke and when you pay you question why you should pay 0.5 for a large Coke when you only got 0.3 liters. When asked, the waiter said he was told this over and over again, but the boss wouldn't change it. The large glasses would be a maximum of 0.4. This is usually called cheating. And the waiter even asked me to mention this in the review… What kind of shop is this? It's a shame that the whole thing cost 100 euros for 4 people.

Portions too small and too expensive. 3 burritos and 2 starters for 75 euros without drinks or side dishes. It would be cheaper to send the burritos by mail from Mexico. Never again thank you.

The food on the picture was around 16€. The thing about mexican food is about also about is portions. However this place’s portions are so small that it makes you realize that you are being ripped off as soon as you see your plate. For example, In California, (where average after taxes income is at least twice of Köln) you can get much larger portions for maybe 10-15% expensive price on a comparable restaurant. More importantly, they brought the wrong order. After that, the waitress insisted that this is what I ordered. However, she even wasn’t the person who took our orders.

Food arrived quickly and was tasty, but the service wasn't that good. The entire restaurant was empty, but we were seated at a narrow table in the aisle. As soon as the food was there, we were no longer asked if everything was okay. We were also left standing at the entrance for a few minutes, even though the restaurant was completely empty. All the employees stood at the bar and talked, some also saw us... There was actually supposed to be live music at 6 p.m., but the musicians were still sitting and drinking when we left the restaurant at 6:30 p.m. All in all, the food was very good, but the service was very disappointing.

Unfortunately, our dining experience wasn't that great. We waited over an hour for our food (burrito). The compensation (espresso) offered by the waitress was not served. Considering that the meal took so long, it was prepared quite simply and carelessly.

Stopped by on a Thursday night. The restaurant was packed. Not sure if it is always busy. Or if it was more busy than usual because the next day was a public holiday. Liked the look and feel of the restaurant. However, the tables were very close together, so it was easy to overhear your neighbours (or be overheard). The restaurant was packed and there were only 2 servers (taking orders and serving food), so it took a while for our food to arrive. It took more than an hour for our main dish to arrive after ordering. We ordered a couple of spicy (Mezcal) margaritas and totopos w/ guacamole as a starter. Both were very tasty. The totopos were not homemade. The guacamole was homemade. They gave us a generous scoop. And, it was delish! Our main dish was very good. I ordered the blue corn quesadillas with chicken (“tinga”). It was served with a side salad. My friend ordered the tacos with pork (“pastor”). We enjoyed our mains. And, would order them again.

Unfortunately this chain restaurant was not living up to its reputation. Having been recently in the US and experiencing authentic Mexican food, I was a little disappointed by this effort. Very small portions, hardly any meat in the taco's and all in all, not tasty or zingy. I will avoid Mexican for a while now, as this was quite a let down.

Wunderschöne Athmosphäre, sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, leckeres und vor allem authentisches Essen, haben uns wieder gefühlt wie in Mexiko. Man hat immer etwas warten müssen, es war allerdings auch ordentlich was los. Preislich voll in Ordnung.

Wir haben einen schönen Abend hier verbracht. Service, Essen und Ambiente waren sehr gut. Die junge Frau an unserem Tisch hat uns sehr gut und beraten ausführlich beraten. Alles war dann passend, jeder Extrawunsch wurde beachtet und das Essen war sehr gut und reichhaltig. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
