Casita Mexicana Südstadt in Köln

Ein großartiges Erlebnis. Eine köstliche Quesadilla mit 2 Füllungen und unfassbar leckeren Saucen. Habanero war der Endgegner, aber einen Versuch wert. Eine sehr nette Mitarbeiterin war sehr zuvorkommend. Auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung.

Alle Gerichte waren super lecker und wir haben einen schönen Abend verbracht der Service war gut und das Ambiente ist locker bis rustikal

es war geplant mit mehreren Leuten hier Essen zu gehen. Leider hat es nicht wirklich hier geklappt einen Tisch zu organisieren. Bei Anruf hat man uns erklärt wir müssen dies sehr kompliziert online machen. Es kam auch eine Antwort zurück wir wären auf der Warteliste. Nach nochmaligen Anruf hat man uns mitgeteilt man wisse nicht, ob was frei ist und hat uns auf das System verwiesen. Dort kam dann keine Antwort mehr, aber dafür dann ein Anruf, der war aber dann obsolet weil wir woanders untergekommen sind. Technik kann vereinfachen aber hier scheint man sich nicht wirklich was überlegt zu haben oder die Angestellten können das System nicht ordentlich bedienen.

Food is delicious and also reasonably priced. In my opinion, drink prices are completely overpriced. Glass of cola 4.90, bottle of water 6.90. So you can leave it at just one drink 👎🏼 What we didn't really like was that on a Sunday afternoon when the restaurant was only half full, we had to squeeze into a table of two with three people. There are 4 chairs at these tables for 2, but you cannot eat comfortably at these tables with more than two people. We were denied a larger table...

The food and ambience are harmonious. Only the service could be a little more attentive, especially since we were almost alone in the restaurant in the afternoon. But everyone was friendly.

The food is super delicious. On request you can also have some of the vegetarian dishes vegan, the service was quite attentive, fast and friendly. As expected, the restaurant is quite full and loud on a Friday evening, but the atmosphere is still very well themed and cozy. Prices are okay :) Small but: a friend of mine canceled the coriander order, but the food was still delivered with coriander. Sometimes I ordered a dish without cheese because of my lactose intolerance and still ended up with a thick layer of cheese in it. I would still like to come back, all in all a cool restaurant with good music, delicious food and a great atmosphere at a reasonable price with good public connections.

Spannendes buntes und modernes Ambiente. Wir haben die leckeren Tacos und Corona vom Fass probiert. Die knackigen Preise sind durchaus angemessen, denn hausgemachtes hat eben seinen Preis. "Casita" hebt sich ab, von den vielen Texmex-Läden, die nur Fertigfood aufwärmen und Mondpreise verlangen. Service war sehr freundlich und schnell. Wir kommen wieder! Danke!

Very authentic food. Extremely tasty.. especially the salsa

Sorry, but the price-performance ratio doesn't fit at all. We were there with five adults and four children. Nobody was really full. The food is very subtly seasoned, carelessly prepared and didn't blow us away. Service was nice but not good. We waited 45 minutes for the starter trio (cold nachos with three cold sauces). I had to ask twice when they would finally come. We won't go there again.

Very tasty fresh food, nice service, prices ok

Good food with good service. I can recommend it and would come again. I think the restaurant in the southern part of the city is better than the one in Belgium. In retrospect, however, you can smell a bit of frying fat.

Really rate the food here, but would go for a Burrito bowl over a burrito.

We were just passing by and saw a lot of people and went in out of curiosity. We got a mix plate to try more stuff, and everything was delicious! It's not spicy which i didn't expect, but it's still very very good. The only thing that could improve would be how the tea is served. Maybe a more suitable glass with a lid, for example.

Delicious and many combinations

Ich liebe Mexikanische Küche und fahre dafür auch mal 50 KM weit. Dies ist aber eines der besten, in dem ich war. Absolute Geschmacksvielfalt. Komme gerne wieder.

As a big fan of Mexican cuisine, it was one of the best things I've eaten at various Mexican restaurants within a 60 km radius. Come again.

Authentic Mexican food. A must if you are in Cologne south.

I was there with a friend I think €15.90 for a burrito WITHOUT any side dishes is really steep. And that's how it is with all things. There are obviously no side dishes. Absolutely not recommended for the price. The service is super bad. In the 3 hours we spent there we were only asked once what we wanted to drink. Sure we could ask, but that's not the point of the matter. The store itself seems pretty cool. But I wouldn't recommend it. I know better and cheaper Mexican places :)

Düsseldorf Oberbilk gets 5 stars. Cologne Roonstrasse 4 stars. Mixed plates and homemade lemonade both times.

Heavenly food. By far the tastiest food I've tasted in köln. My favorite filling is Pollo con rajas. Just heavenly

Wir waren als Familie für einen lockeren und leckeren Abend hier und waren alle sehr zufrieden. Essen war lecker (nach meinem Geschmack besser als bei anderen Mexikanern in der Stadt), Service anfangs etwas schleppend, hat sich dann aber sehr gut eingeschwungen. Alle nett, relaxed, macht Spaß.

Yesterday we walked past the shop and decided on take away. When we arrived home with our food, we noticed that the order was not complete. I then called the store. The employee was very rude and hung up on me repeatedly. Last but not least, he called me, suddenly much friendlier, to tell me to come pick up the food in 30 minutes. No apology, no accommodation or at least an attempt at a more customer-oriented solution. I think there should have been a release, or at least an apology for the back and forth for us. The food didn't really taste that good after the event.

We are Mexican, and we are very surprised of this place, the decoration is so inspiring, a classical Mexican type, the menu include the most popular Mexican dishes, so we recommend to order the chips with guacamole, pastor tacos and the carne asada tacos are simply the best!!! 🫶🏼🫶🏼💕💕💕

We were sadly not super impressed by the food here. We ordered the burritos and they felt super cheesy and had way too much of lettuce in it and not enough of the other fillings. Also, the michelada was certainly not my vibe so I sadly ended up wasting an entire corona. The service was quite good and fast but doesn’t compensate for the food. Don’t think we’ll be visiting again.

Service was nice, food was ok, but not exactly cheap for the quality. We had three different margaritas, which cost almost €10 per (small) glass but all tasted very bad. Benevolent 3 stars...

Was there an hour ago: stupid, unfriendly service! Asked for hot sauce and more than a quarter of a lime. I did get limes, but otherwise just an indifferent shrug of the shoulders, pointing out that my yellow sauce wasn't spicy at all. I didn't hear anything else from this woman other than the amount of the bill. No please, thank you or goodbye. Very unpleasant lunch.

First up: they seated us inside while it was hot outside just because we didn’t look “fancy” like the others…. Terrible service. They legitimately ignored us 40 min. In those 40 min, we waited and no “hello” or taking orders for even drinks… The worst part was, we watched that those rude girls talked and gossiped over customers in spanish. They were making fun of them. No go !!

The vegan burrito wasn't actually a burrito. Tasteless vegetables, hardly any beans in a pancake. Also overpriced.

Food was good, ok options for vegetarian. It was very tasty for sure! Lovely ambiance with Frieda Kahlo and Mexican decor. Having been to Mexico many times, I did enjoy the quesadilla vegetarian filling here in comparison to what I had in Mexico. However, prices are high for serving size. Worth trying for sure! Seems very popular amongst locals!

After the lunch offer was increased by €2, stamp cards were introduced that promised that every 6th meal would be free. Unfortunately, you don't get a stamp on your first visit, as expected, but only the stamp card with the words stamp will only be available the next time. ABSOLUTE RIP-OFF! Then just write on the cards that the 7th meal is free. I'm really very DISAPPOINTED with the service!!!!

Was very nicely decorated. Food was very tasty, as were non-alcoholic cocktails/margaritas. Overall, unfortunately, it was relatively expensive and the portions weren't that big. Ambience very nice

As always good, food very good, atmosphere also very cool. You can still work on the service, but it sometimes takes quite a long time until someone comes.

We really enjoyed the food, especially the habanero cilantro sauce that went well with everything! It’s rare to get really spicy food in Cologne so this was a treat!

Super authentic Mexican food - not TeX-Mex and not adapted to the "German palate" and adulterated. There are both mild and spicy dishes. Just try it out and go on a culinary mini vacation in Mexico 😎

Unfortunately we weren't thrilled. We (3 people) didn't like the food and unfortunately the price-performance ratio wasn't right. The portions were too small for the not cheap price. In addition, we had to wait a really long time for the waitress before we could order. It's a shame, we were looking forward to a nice evening...

Very tasty and very friendly staff!

We just picked up two Pastor burritos. According to the menu card, there should also be beans, rice and cheese. It ended up being just iceberg lettuce and pastor (with very little pineapple). No idea what went wrong. And only noticed it when I got home. Therefore, this experience was not good, although previous experiences were always good and tasty.

Great atmosphere, margaritas and Corona on tap are delicious! The food was also very tasty! Only the quesadillas could have used more cheese. Nachos and guacamole were good!

We were even able to sit outside even though we didn't have a reservation, nice! And the food is very tasty. I can't say anything about authentic or not, we don't go out for Mexican food that often. Oh yes, the staff is incredibly nice and friendly... and quick! Fine!

Very tasty food. Like the concept that you can deliver the tacos, enchilladas, etc. yourself. Portions may look small, but they are clearly filling. There is a bit of a dead zone in the back of the shop, but you still have time to chat with your friends :D!

The service and the ambience are very nice. The food is actually ALMOST perfect. What I find to be critical about the “Asada” beef is that almost every time I eat there there are sometimes rubbery pieces. For example, I would like braised “birria” instead. Otherwise I would recommend everyone to go there. Is one of my favorite Mexicans.

Blue corn, what a detail!! The food is delicious, I thought it was well served, considering that I ordered 2 quesadillas and was satisfied. And the red rice, how delicious! I mean, I hadn't eaten it in Mexico for a while and I was excited about it. Highly recommended

Very friendly staff. Since it was my first time in a Mexican restaurant, I discovered a new food culture. The food was very tasty, they even made a smiley face out of vegetables for the children's menu.

Apart from obviously being implemented for no reason, 20 minutes was nothing. No questions asked about drinks or food orders. The six of us then left hungry.

Everything was great, except for one small note. It would be great if there was a baby changing facility in the toilet. The offer of a baby seat already exists. Maybe think about whether it would be feasible 😉 otherwise everything was great!!!

Delicious food, good service. However, please think about the price/performance ratio. When it comes to bowls, it suits us - you get enough for the price asked. I had the 4 tacos for a total of €16 and it was very tasty but just a better starter. I only got full after another portion of macho.

Burrito sadly served with a small bowl of jalapenos. It tasted more like pancakes.

So lecker das Essen, dazu noch vegetarisch mit Auswahl und schön Musik dazu, Menschen, die dazu getanzt haben, ganz locker und richtig gemütlich kann man da einen schönen Tag verbringen.

Delicious food, friendly staff, amazing vibe

The shop looks great. The food is delicious, but with a few drawbacks. The seasoning of the different types of meat is quite subtle, which is why all tacos/wraps taste quite similar. Otherwise a nice shop in the southern part of the city. If you're looking for something gluten-free, you've come to the right place.

The food was really good, but the portions were quite small and none of the three of us were full. The restaurant and the staff were absolutely authentic.

Really nice place to enjoy.mexican food. Quesadillas Jaime are a must if you go to this place, the best in the menu. You can also enjoy drinks while you listen to the nice Latin music. The atmosphere is vibran and yet relaxing to finish your day.

The food was very tasty. Even though the restaurant was so full, things still went quickly. However, no service came later, so we couldn't order any more drinks that we would have liked to drink. We probably just should have drawn more attention to ourselves.

I have to leave a review because I am impressed with this place. It was full and we ended up by chance without a reservation. They were very friendly and offered to let us wait at the bar for some drinks. It seemed like they were trying really hard to make us comfortable. We got a table quickly and we thought we would have to wait a long time for our food because the restaurant was full, but that wasn't the case. I had never tried Mexican food like this; they gave us a few tips and recommendations, and my husband and I loved it. Plus, it's been a long time since I've been treated so well in a restaurant, and they were attentive to our table even when it was busy. A true gem in the neighborhood. We will come back in any case
