Ordered takeaway here: 2 burritos and quesadillas. The burritos were really bad. The chicken was neither seasoned nor salted, nor was the iceberg lettuce. There were only a few small pieces of chicken in the burritos, and they weren't even rolled up properly, just slapped carelessly into the shell. There was so little filling that everything fell apart. It's just outrageous to charge money for something like that.

Unsere Erfahrung im Casita Mexicana war sehr schön! Das Restaurant versprüht einen authentischen mexikanischen Vibe – man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Besonders gefallen hat uns das Angebot, bei dem man ein bisschen von allem probieren kann: Quesadillas, Burrito und mehr. Perfekt, um die Vielfalt der mexikanischen Küche kennenzulernen. Alles war super lecker – wir kommen definitiv wieder, wenn wir wieder mal in Köln sind!

Not good value for money: I ate two relatively small quesadillas (fast food!) for €19 and was hardly full. The toppings and taste were good, but the portion size was simply more than poor. Another minus point (although admittedly very petty): the waitress couldn't pronounce the word "Oaxaca". People, train your staff better!

It is an impressive restaurant that looks authentic from the outside and is beautifully decorated. There is something to see everywhere and makes the food tasty. The drinks match the dishes and there is a sufficiently large selection. The tacos asada and tangin were tasty, thanks to the tender meat and the matching sauce. Since I couldn't decide, I took the mix plate, which also tasted very good. I had vegetarian tacos with vegetable filling, the quesadillas were with marinated chicken and tomatoes and the burrito was with tender beef. This gave a complete picture of everything. Everything was reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit.

Das Essen ist wirklich sehr, sehr gut. Wir hatten Trio ( Nachos mit 3erlei Soßen) und dann unterschiedliche Quesadillas. Tippitoppi köstlich. Jetzt kommt das Aber. Es war Freitagabend 20 Uhr. Das Restaurant brechend voll, die Kellner*innen im Stress und zu wenige. Es dauerte 15 Minuten, bis wir unsere Getränke hatten. Die Vorspeise wurde ganz vergessen und kam auf Nachfrage dann gleichzeitig mit den Hauptspeisen. Die Geräuschkulisse muss man mögen. Sagen wir mal, es ist sehr lebendig. Aber zum Unterhalten nicht geeignet. Auch unser Geld wollte man erst auf unser intensives Drängen hin... Vielleicht ist es mittags etwas ruhiger. Wie gesagt, fürs Essen lohnt sich der Besuch allemal.

Not recommended! First we waited 20-30 minutes until we could order something to drink. The cocktail was filled to the brim with ice cubes, so the cocktail was gone in 3 sips. The burrito was way too cheesy and the chicken was really dry and not tasty! The 4 tacos were the size of the bottom of a cup, so really small, my partner couldn't get enough of them. When we wanted to pay, the waitress preferred to go into the kitchen to chat and when we thought she was coming after 20 minutes, she finally went to the neighboring table, which was a group of at least 10 people. Overall, the service was very unfriendly, you weren't asked once if you wanted something to drink and if everything was OK. I would never go there again!!!

Wir waren schon zum zweiten mal hier und das Essen ist sehr authentisch und lecker. Vorweg haben wir uns zu viert die großen Nachos mit Rindfleisch und Käse geteilt und dann hatten wir entweder Burito oder Quesadilla. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall noch mal wieder. 👍🏼😋

The best Quesadillas, Tacos and Burritos I had in Europe. Both vegetarian and meat options were amazing. We didn't plan to eat Mexican in Cologne, but ended eating three times in Casita. Just perfect.

Super cute shop. The service is nice, but not professionals. You are still with the starter and the waitress wants to put the main courses on the table and doesn't understand at all when you suggest that you are currently still with the starter, which is actually easy to see. Had vegan tacos. The soy mince was really bad. For starters, nachos with cheese and beans, for €18? There are chips sprinkled with cheese...you'll be amazed at the prices. The three of us had two starters and one main course each, plus two Fritz sodas and two beers. The bill was EUR 104.00. Unfortunately it's far too expensive for what's on offer, even if the shop is really cutely decorated.

Service was nice, ambience was okay too. The food was tasty and seemed fresh enough, but the portions were far too small. My husband was still hungry after his bowl and I was still hungry after two quesadillas. The “hungry” reviews in front of me should probably just order more food 😄 I find it absolutely impossible for the price. The presentation was also rather so-so. You can easily serve a side salad on a plate and crumble nachos over it. Definitely gives it a little more love and food ;) if I lived nearby, unfortunately I wouldn't eat here anymore unless there were offers or larger portions.

I can only describe this restaurant as overpriced. I ordered the asada tacos and when they came the portion was extremely small. As an adult, it's hard to get full here without ordering two main courses. I am very disappointed, my visit was a complete waste of money…

Lifestyle, simple but very suitable furnishings. Very friendly staff. Food was fresh, hot and came quickly. Very tight seating, very crowded when it's full. If you want to have a quiet meal for two and/or want to talk about topics that are more private, this is not the right place (completely personal opinion).

Food relatively authentic, but of good quality!

The three of us were here for me, the best address for Mexicans in Cologne where the price-performance ratio is right. Here you can meet everything in the audience, from fine to normal. It is even possible to pick up your order in advance, but parking is a bit difficult. It is advisable to look for parking spaces in the surrounding area. The service and the food are very good. The service is very friendly and helpful. I felt a bit transported to the typical alleys of Mexico. A really great experience. We had three main courses and a large appetizer nacho plate, which is a must in this restaurant and therefore very tasty!!! Plus five classic cocktails and a cola. It was actually a bit too much for the three of us. Next time maybe in starter plates for three plus three small dishes. All in all, a successful product and absolutely great value for money. We will come back and it won't be the last time there.

Bad, loud and expensive. We had dinner with a group and everyone was disappointed. The prices are cleverly split. The bowl salad for 16.90 and then beef ectra for 2 euros. That's 18.90 for a measly salad with carrot slices and radishes. No sauce, not dressed. And then the beef strips completely cooked with mushy vegetables. That was loveless and really bad. The noise level is so great that it is hardly possible to hold a conversation at the table. We don't need that again.

Das war sehr enttäuschend. Wir haben mehrere Gerichte probiert und die einhellige Meinung war, dass es sich nicht gelohnt hat. Geschickt es es natürlich, die Preise zu splitten. Die bowl Salat für 16,90 Euro und die Streifen Rindfleisch dann für 2 Euro extra. Macht 18,90 Euro für einen mickrigen Salat mit rohen Möhren- und Radieschenstreifen ohne jede Sauce. Dazu dann die Rindfleischstreifen völlig durchgebraten mit matschigem Gemüse. Nein Danke, nie wieder! Und das in einer Geräuschkulisse in der ein Gespräch am Tisch kaum möglich war.

We have now been to Casita Mexicana twice with the family and are thrilled every time! The food is simply incredibly delicious and always impresses us with authentic flavors of Mexican and South American cuisine. The variety of dishes is great and every taste is catered for - from spicy to mild, there is always something special. You can tell how much love and care goes into every dish. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and we feel completely at home there. Thank you for the great culinary experiences – we’ll definitely be happy to come back again and again!

I ordered a vegan burrito. I assumed that because I said vegan, they wouldn't put any cheese in it. Apparently all burritos are filled with cheese, even if you order the vegan filling. The burrito arrived. I asked if there was an option to change the burrito because there was cheese in it. It said that you could scrape the cheese out of this burrito or that I could order a new burrito and that you could leave the cheese out this time. Of course I would have had to pay for both burritos, including the one I didn't touch. Of course it's not a given that I'll get a new burrito, but then please don't say next to the vegan filling that you can get the filling in a burrito. While my friends ate at the table, I had to have my food packed up so I could give it to the homeless outside. It's not a given that my food will be changed, but I once had a job in the catering industry and I know that it wouldn't have cost me to change my burrito and that it would take more time to give me the cheese than to bring me a new burrito with the finished vegetable mixture. We also regularly took back plates in the restaurant where I worked if, for example, someone overlooked the fact that they had ordered something with nuts (despite an allergy). There was always a new plate free of charge. Any other restaurant would have brought me a new burrito. Of course I paid the full price, left hungry and I and my friends will never go to the restaurant again. After six years of eating vegan, this has never happened to me.

I recently went to this restaurant and I have to say it was simply fantastic! The tacos we had were honestly the best I've ever tasted. Everything was incredibly fresh and tasted perfectly. The service was also outstanding, the staff were incredibly kind, accommodating and really took their time to make sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was also very pleasant. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially for anyone who wants to enjoy really tasty, fresh tacos!

In winter, when the outside temperature is 0 degrees, the ice-cold air in the front area draws from the outside door to the legs and feet. No heat curtain or other cold barrier. Staff nice and hardworking. Waited 40 minutes for the food without any prior information. Food very tasty and fresh.

For the main course we ordered Burrito La Diabla and a custom-made burrito with Rajas con queso. Both very tasty. In my opinion, the sauces were quite authentic and nice and spicy. Especially the Chipotle. It definitely tasted natural and not artificial. The salsa verde wasn't bad either. I doubt whether these sauces are actually homemade, but I reserve my judgment. The burritos were rather long and narrow. I was basically expecting a slightly shorter and thicker burrito, like I knew from various Mexican street food videos. Then I have to wait some more for such an experience. Of course it didn't devalue the food in any way. Will definitely come back more often. I would also like to try out the branch in the Belgian Quarter. Thank you for the lovely evening.

Food was very tasty, the mix plate is a brilliant idea to be able to try as much as possible at the same time. The staff was friendly and generally very attentive. Although the restaurant is harmoniously furnished, the table wobbled, the chairs and legroom were far too small for me and the toilet was unfortunately not particularly clean and almost seemed run down. But since it's mainly about the food and service: 4/5 stars.

I ordered a burrito with guacamole. The menu said €1 extra for the guacamole. In the end I paid an incredible €2.50 extra without being made aware that it had become more expensive. When I pointed this out to the waitress, she just shrugged her shoulders, unfortunately a bit unhappy. In addition, the portion wasn't really big, which meant I was still a little hungry after eating 🙄.

On Saturday we had dinner. Being a large group of 20 people, we made a reservation. The best way is to do it through the web. Although it takes a few days, they get in touch. Dined here for dinner while visiting Cologne. When I heard we’d be having Mexican food while in Germany I was quite skeptical. However, the food was quite good and pretty authentic. The salsas are made in house and fresh and delicious. We had the guacamole and mini quesadillas to start. Then I tried an assortment of tacos and loved the small corn tortillas. Better than expected!

I love casita and I always will come but like I always said it need better presentation the food and not so little food on the plate , but the best Mexican food near to us we love it 😊 we are just a little bit disappointed how little food and the presentation of the plates . The restaurant is super and the ambience also 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼😊😊😊😊

love love love the tacos! and will be back soon to try more things :) we had a weird 5-10 minutes standing at the "please wait here to be seated" sign, nobody even looking at us, but once through that point, it was really smooth! the staff is quick and friendly, the drinks arrived about immediately, dishes came out reasonably quickly also. and the place was about 70% packed - recommended to have reservation, and the online reservation tool makes that really simple. two thumbs up.

The best Mexican food I’ve been able to find in Germany! The staff are warm and welcoming, the food was as authentic as you can get here and the drinks were delicious. My friend and I had to sit at the bar tables and the vibes were comfy and cosy. Don’t skip this place if you want great Mexican in Köln!
