Symposion in Wiesbaden

My meat stuff l ordered was very salty for me and a lamb chop was not fully made may be you tell them how you want your meat made ,l went to eat hier with my collegues l ordered a mixed plate,it was okay for me , l like the fact that salad is a starter and it is not too expensive,the food takes long to be served and l would advice reserving before going there we went on a Saturday and it was full.ln our group the food potions were not the same others had more potatoes and others had more chicken yet they had ordered the same thing which l found abit unfair.

My Greek of Choice...been going there for years. Service is always very courteous and personal. Food always good. Ambiance cozy. Sitting outside in the yard in summer.

Moussaka and chicken were delicious! There was also a side salad that was freshly prepared. The prices are very cheap, so you could definitely dress up so that there can continue to be such great restaurants :)

Located in the back building, cozy room, very popular. Good, authentic Greek food. Quality high, prices ok, service friendly and competent. Highly recommended!

Just good! The lamb chops were fried to perfection, the side dishes were a dream, and the boss even told us the secret ingredient in her dressing. Top wines! We'll be back on our next trip to Wiesbaden.

The Symposium is simply put the best way to experience Greek food and hospitality I have ever had, surpassing many good hotels and restaurants in Greece i had the pleasure to try out. A family business who takes pride in offering a first class service and delicious food. The Symposium is not a secret, it's an established institution in Wiesbaden. Every other greek restaurants I have tried out seem to lack refinement, make me look forward to come back to Symposium. Friends of mine are also regular guests and consider this to be their favorite restaurant. It is absolutely worth paying a visit, I can't recommend enough!

An absolute must for lovers of real Greek cuisine! Greece vacation in the heart of Wiesbaden. We received a very hospitable welcome, warm, attentive and professional service. We can highly recommend all of the dishes, there is nothing to complain about. You can see and taste that quality is served here and everything is homemade. The crowning glory was the galaktoboureko, which came fresh from the oven. Many thanks to the entire team for a wonderful, enjoyable evening. One of the best Greeks I know in the area. The lamb fillet tastes particularly delicious and juicy. Can recommend the store to everyone.

I was absolutely positively surprised. At first it took a little longer for my food to be served to me, but when it came it became clear why: everything was fresh and prepared with extreme care. The pork skewer was juicy, slightly crispy on the outside and tender as butter. Definitely from the neck! Beforehand, the waiter asked me what dressing I would like on the starter salad. The dressing chosen was subtle but extremely tasty and looked like it was homemade. The wine list initially reads a bit more expensive, but here too: in terms of quality and taste, it's absolutely fair. I liked the wine so much that I spontaneously took a bottle of it to take home with me.

Very tasty food. I can recommend lamb skewers and lamb chops, super tasty, very tender and I will go there more often now! The employees are all very friendly and warm.

Symposium Wiesbaden: Greek enjoyment at the highest level Guys, hold on tight: the symposium in Wiesbaden is an absolute hit! I was there with friends last night and we were all absolutely thrilled. Ambience: Cozy, modern, just makes you feel good. Food: A dream! The sea bream was perfectly fried, juicy and aromatic. The octopus was buttery tender and tasted simply great. But the starters and side dishes were all delicious. Wine: The Symposium has an excellent selection of Greek wines. Christos gave us great advice and recommended a great red wine that went perfectly with our food. Conclusion: The symposium is an absolute must for all lovers of Greek cuisine. Everything is just right here: food, wine, ambience and service. I can only warmly recommend the restaurant! 5 Stars!

We waited almost 1½ hours for our food, even though there was hardly anything going on. The food wasn't anything special for the price. Unfortunately, the service also left a lot to be desired. We would have liked to drink more, but we preferred to chat at the bar rather than see if there was anything missing. A relatively average restaurant, but definitely not worth the price.

Simply perfect......Always with pleasure.

Schönes Ambiente mit tollen Essen, frisch sehr lecker. Am besten man isst vorher nichts, weil die Portionen groß ausfallen:)!

Das Restaurant wird von einer griechischen Familie geführt, die die Gäste sehr gastfreundlich bewirten. Es besteht seit vielen Jahren und ist eine feste Größe in der Gegend. Auch Freunde und Kollegen besuchen das Symposion gerne und regelmäßig, niemand war jemals enttäuscht. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!

Wonderful restaurant! My wife and I visited on a Saturday evening, no reservation. We wanted to stay in the lovely outside courtyard but it was full. We proceeded inside. We were very impressed by the salad station, where your salad gets freshly made on the spot. The baked feta cheese was fabulous! We ordered two meat plates with various meats (lamb chops, pork, and bifteki (Greek burger)). All were phenomenal. When the outside courtyard tables were available, they moved us outside! Wonderful service! We were also brought (free) shots of ouzo and mastiha (a liqueur). Fantastic! Best Greek restaurant in Wiesbaden. Highly recommended!

Für mich der mit Abstand beste Grieche in Wiesbaden. Das Essen ist hervorragend, alles sehr frisch, die Weine sind auch top. Dazu ist die Betreiberfamilie sehr freundlich und tolle Gastgeber. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Erg leuk Grieks restaurantje, waar je heerlijk kan eten. Personeel is heel vriendelijk, buiten en binnen genoeg plek. Parkeren kan bij een winkelcentrum in de buurt.

Heerlijk gegeten. Bord met rauwkost werd vers voor ons gemaakt aan de saladebar. Heerlijke gyros, souvlaki en tzatziki. We hebben enorm genoten, het was super lekker (hulde aan de mensen in de keuken!). Goed eten voor een zeer redelijke prijs.

Sehr leckere Speisen und zudem angenehme Portionsgrößen. Besonderes Lob verdienen die frisch und mit abwechslungsreichen Zutaten zubereiteten Salate.

Tolles, griechisches Essen. Selbst das Dressing im Vorspeisensalat holt mich jedes Mal wieder ab. Das Lammfilet ist ultra zart und gar nicht streng. Schöner Innenhof der etwas Urlaubsflair entfacht. Die Betreiber (Familienbetrieb) führen den Laden mit viel Herzblut und das spiegelt sich im Essen wieder.

Peperoni sehr lecker. Als Hauptspeise hatte ich Lachs. Den hab ich noch nirgends besser bekommen. Ganz saftig und lecker. Mein Mann hatte Oktopus und Calamari vorweg. Er war begeistert. So zart. Als Hauptspeise hatte er Variationen vom Fleisch. Auch das war super lecker, zart. Toll gewürzt. Bei einem von uns wurde leider eine Beilage vergessen. Die kam zwar im Nachgang, aber da war das eigentliche Gericht schon aufgegessen. Der Kellner hat sich entschuldigt und ein Bier von der Rechnung genommen. Wir würden hier jederzeit wieder Essen gehen.

Das zweite Mal hier und ich muss sagen, dass ich echt begeistert bin. Die Mitarbeiter haben eine so ruhige und zuvorkommende Ausstrahlung, dass man sich nur wohlfühlen kann. Es wird alles perfekt erklärt. Das Essen ist super lecker 😋😋😋😋Wohlgemerkt muss ich sagen, dass wir immer noch hier sitzen und ich die Bewertung vor Ort schreibe. Danke liebes Symposion Team

Nach langer Zeit und Lust auf griechisches Essen wieder einmal hingegangen und relativ enttäuscht gewesen: Fischplatte mit unansehnlichem Lachs, 3 Scampi und Tintenfisch, quasi ungewürzt und nicht appetitlich. Bifteki in Ordnung, Röstkartoffeln gut gemacht von der Konsistenz, auch ohne Würze, Auberginen als Vorspeise gleiche Liga wie die Kartoffeln. Lecker sind die Beilagensalate mit kleinen Apfelscheiben, positiv die freundliche und unkomplizierte Art des Serviceteams (Söhne des Inhabers). Die Terrasse ist ruhig und kühl, für einen Sommerabend wunderbar. Fazit: keine kulinarische Finesse, kein wirkliches Ärgernis 🤷‍♂️

The gyros meat was exceptionally good. We were a group of four and the waiter had the nowadays rare skill to memorize our orders without noting them. We were quite impressed. The food was very tasty and everyone was quite satisfied. Kudos.

Set back from the road in a courtyard with white buildings around you could almost be in Greece. The food is authentic as is the wine (ever tried Restina? It is an acquired taste but once you have it theirs is very good). The lamb is delicious as are all the dishes we have tried and the service is great. Try their cold starters or let them advise you!
