Been going there for a year now. Recently their food quality got real bad. They should really check with their cook. Foods is all watery and less dense, hence the taste is not really good. Before was really good. I will search for some other Indian restaurant

It's a real shame. A few years ago, the food at Swagat was absolutely outstanding. It was my favorite restaurant. Unfortunately, the quality today is no longer comparable. I had lamb that tasted absolutely nothing, and the mango sauce, on the other hand, was significantly less aromatic and too sweet compared to before. The significantly higher price now is no longer worth it for me.

Loved the Food, good vibes, fresh and hygienic food. The food standard was above anything and it was reflected in the taste. The people working there are also very good. A must try authentic Indian food.

Hands down the best Indian food I had in Munich. The butter naan was absolutely amazing! We went before the theater on a Monday. Not being the only ones with that idea meant the restaurant was packed. The service did their utmost and I believe on other days it’s less busy and the food will arrive more quickly.

We love Swagat! We are regular customers at Swagat, both for the family dinners and for lunch, with the work colleagues. The food is absolutely delicious, the people are amazingly friendly and welcoming, everything is very clean and the atmosphere is super nice and cosy. We’ve tried Indian food in many places, including in London, but Swagat remains the best and we are always happy to return here. We’ve brought the grandparents and friends here and everyone loved it!

Nice cozy place for dine-in. Food taste is good. But little disappointed with the portion size and pricing. Worth trying once but the food is very oily and you'll eating just few bites and make you thirsty.

Good Indian cuisine at slightly higher prices. Organization could be improved, the telephone reservation was lost, and not only for us, but also for several other arriving guests, who all stood at the entrance a little perplexed.

It is very, very cozy and absolutely delicious and inexpensive. I paid €30 for a drink, side dish, main course and dessert without a tip. The service is super nice and in a good mood, I can only recommend it!!!

We asked if a table was available and were accommodated, but shortly after, we were informed that the kitchen would be closing in 5 minutes. If we would know , we would not choose to stay, as we did not wish to eat under time pressure. We ordered soup and one dish, but received the dish without sauce and rice, when we ask for missing rest, they answered unpleasantly that the kitchen is now closed. Despite this, we were charged the full price! Food was below average quality…

This restaurant is definitely the best Indian restaurant in Munich. I’ve tried many Indian restaurants all around the city and the team from the Swagat restaurant always delivers the same quality of great food, very attentive service and overall the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. If you are unsure where to go then Swagat is one of the best restaurant options in the whole city.

The food is really amazing and as authentic as it can get. By all means the best Indian food I have had in Germany in 12 years. We ordered Dal makhni, Shahi paneer and mango chicken curry along with paneer naan. Paneer naan by far was the best I have had in my life, including Indian restaurants. Dal makhni was extremely creamy and my German friends loved it. The ambience is excellent, the hospitality is courteous and the dining experience comfortable. The restaurant is easily accessiblle with U4, so no excuses to give this place a skip. Highly recommend it. :)

Big praise 🙏 A spontaneous first visit. We were immediately given a table for three people in a cozy corner at the bar. The service, the food, the staff, the barman everything was just great 👍 We felt very comfortable and we will definitely come back and can warmly recommend this restaurant. Outstanding service. Every single waiter was amazing. Food was very delicious, they adapted quickly to my food allergies. It was not a problem and they did not make fun of me because of it. Love it. I was telling my friend all the time how much I live their service there. The music was not too loud, was perfect. Even if there were many tables, i did not feel stressed because of people talking. Save that place ;)

Food is good. The rooms are totally overcrowded, very cluttered in the basement. The seats are very tight and uncomfortable. If there ever is anything there, no one can get out. Really critical.

There are many Indian restaurants in Munich but only a few good ones. This is definitely one of them! The food is very authentic and tasty, the service is very friendly. The prices are fair and it's very quick at lunchtime if you don't have much time. If you like it spicy, I recommend ordering fresh chili separately. They are not only spicy but also have a very good taste.

I would recommend to try visiting Swagat as they have the best Indian food available in Munich, especially for us who is far from India. Located just in front of Prinzregenten Theater and U-bahn. One of the best Indian Restaurants I ever visited. Hospitality is next level. Staff is very courageous and friendly. Food is tasty. We love getting food from Swagat - one of the best Indian restaurants in town. My wife has celiac and can only eat gluten free foods and so far we never had an issue with the food at Swagat either - can highly recommend.

Wonderful authentic Indian food in a pleasant atmosphere and excellent service.

It's always a nice experience when I visit the restaurant. You are always welcomed by the people there especially a very warm welcome from Rajveer. Food is prepared in an authentic Indian style. Not only spicy but containing different flavors.

The restaurant is located underground and is well decorated. It has a good vibe, however it is a little bit tight on space. Had to wait for 10-15 minutes to get a table even with reservation and we are 6 people that had to share a table meant for 4 people. Food was really nice and flavourful especially their Palak Paneer and Mutton Vindaloo, but 2 of dishes we ordered did not come out and we had to remind the servers about it. The food came very quickly after that. Got a complementary mango liquor at the end which was nice. I would recommend this place but do have some patience during peak hours.
