Nice restaurant with good Indian food

Great food at a fair price. Also very good vegan options and friendly service. We will come more often.

Too expensive for the food we ordered. Everything is very dull

Chicken Korma was unbearably sweet. Was denied upon complaining and requesting a new dish.

It was average place with average food, we had biryani which was not flavoured as it should be. Also the place has special condition for eating in the restaurant that one must compulsory buy a drink even if they are not interested which sort of puzzled me. The head server was also quite stringent on this policy however for the rest of time he was quite polite . So to sum it all in a sentence not worth the hype, pretty much an average place.

It's a shame that there is no longer a buffet on Sundays (whether Corona or not) - but yesterday we used the delivery service. Highly Recommended. I had the pleasure of dining at Indian Village on Saturday evening and absolutely loved it! The dishes were authentic and full of flavor. Of particular note were the Butter Chicken and Biryani, which were perfectly seasoned and tender. The vegetarian options, like the palak paneer, were also excellent. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. We received a warm welcome and the service was consistently professional and quick. The restaurant has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The decoration is tasteful and adds to the authentic Indian experience. The prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food. We felt we got very good value for money. I can highly recommend the Indian village. It is a must for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine in a pleasant environment. We will come back in any case!

The last time we were there was about 7 years ago because we didn't like the food and the ambience back then. We thought, OK, let's go again, 2 chances. We had chicken curry, butter chicken and duck Vidaloo, as starters 2x crab soup. Drinks 5x special. So....The butter chicken was relatively ok, but the chicken was a bit dry. The chicken curry was very strange because the sauce was brown-red with two potatoes and also dry chicken. The duck was ok but the rice in both dishes was also very dry and even got stuck in my throat at the end. The soup at the beginning was good, but unfortunately the crabs were pureed. The Spezi were good with fresh orange slices. The ambience was also ok, only the music was mixed, so that the Indian flair didn't come across. We had three different waitresses, all very friendly and approachable, but when they realized that we didn't like it, a slight ignorance arose. The price of 95€ is really expensive for 3 people. Unfortunately, the Indian Village will have to do without us for the next 7 years. By the way, there are only two parking spaces. Not recommended for guests of a little further afield in Munich and from the surrounding area....mei if you like it....!!!

This is probably the best Indian restaurant in Munich that's not as pricey as Madam Chutney. The ambience is good, the staff could be more polite but it's not too bad. The food was delicious, the spice level was just right and every item we ordered was freshly prepared and lived up to its original taste.

The food is great and not overpriced, you get a lot for your money

I've visited many Indian restaurants across Germany, but this one has by far the worst service. The Indian waiter from Dehradun was extremely rude to us, giving off a distinctly racist vibe. While he served other guests properly, he merely placed our food on the table without any courtesy. Typically, waiters ask if guests need anything else, but this waiter dismissively said, "Ho gaya tum logo ka." This behavior is completely unprofessional. The food was merely average, Naam bade darshan chote.

Mixed pakora dark and spoiled it was bad onion bhaji was fungus and there was sweat smell in the salad.

Food was very good, service friendly but a bit confusing. We had to order the glass of wine 3 times and no one bothered to reorder it, you had to take action yourself. Nonetheless, that makes her likeable again! The place is nice and you sit comfortably and as I said, the food is delicious!!

Some of the stuff has a bad attitude

We tried their thali with 3 different curries. We loved every item that was given. Very fresh food with a unique flavor. I specially loved the dessert which was a mango cream. The only drawback of the place would be... everything comes with rice included so it's difficult to choose for a bread lover.

Probably the best Indian in the north of Munich. We order takeaway there almost every week and it always tastes great! Great location and there’s a discount if you pick it up. Unreserved recommendation

We have been meaning to go here for ages, because of the excellent reviews. It turns out that those reviews are well deserved. We had the best Indian meal in a very long time. I particularly enjoyed the Onion Bhajis, which were like the ones you get in an Indian restaurant in Britain. The main courses were also excellent: you can taste the separate ingredients, rather than the dishes being cooked down to the point that the whole dish tastes the same. We will definitely return again soon.

The restaurant looks good from the outside and even better from the inside, the food is amazing and everything taste very well. This is my second time going to the restaurant and eveerytime it’s been amazing. I would definitely recommend this restaurant as a place to eat with your family or friends or partner.

After a long time, we were out and about in our old neighborhood again yesterday. And took a detour to the Indian Village. Still a great Indian restaurant. Top service, nice decor, delicious food, warmed plates, reasonable prices. Nice to see that it survived the Covid period and there was a lot going on on Saturday evening. And it's the only Indian restaurant I know that serves sweet naan bread with raisins. Yummy!!!

The food was delicious, I can recommend it to everyone.

1. Food was not good. It was extremely sweet. This is the most “non Indian flavour” I have experienced after eating at more than 50+ Indian restaurants in Europe. 2. Service was not good. Location was also not as good as some other indian restaurants, but that is manageable if staff behaves properly. They reminded 5 times to eat fast. We ate sharply in one hour but the waiter came 5 times tö remind about it. It would be good not to say anything at all, but it is needed to help or guide people through this platform.

I find it a bit difficult to rate the restaurant. On the one hand, the taste of the food was very good and the service was very attentive. For example, new cutlery was brought immediately when it fell on the floor. On the other hand, we wanted to order a dish in which different small pots of different foods were to be served. After asking twice about this, a dish was recommended to us, but it did not meet our expectations. (It tasted great) Some Indian restaurants serve poppadams with dips before the meal, which unfortunately wasn't the case here.

Indian Village is tops! Food freshly prepared, staff incredibly friendly and attentive and a lovely atmosphere. We have been to several Indian restaurants in Munich, this one deserves a top rating!

Mein Freund und ich waren vor ein paar Jahren schon ein mehrere Male hier und fanden das Essen sehr gut. Mehr durch Zufall sind wir heute wieder einmal hier gelandet. Das Essen war super schnell da und unglaublich lecker. Hauptspeise, Naan, Nachspeise, Service - alles perfekt. In nächster Zeit werden wir wohl noch häufiger wiederkommen. :)

Im Restaurant gibt es super leckeres Essen in entspannter Atmosphäre. Daher waren wir schon häufiger mit Kollegen oder in kleiner Runde nach der Arbeit vor Ort. Mein Fazit: Immer einen Besuch wert. Mein persönlicher Favorit ist das Khumb Karahi, was sowohl mittags als auch abends immer geschmeckt hat.

Der beste Inder weit und breit! Das Essen schmeckt jedes mal einfach überragend. Wir kommen oft mit Freunden hier her und alle sind jedes mal überzeugt. Der Service ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Im Sommer kann man schön draußen auf der Terrasse sitzen und im Winter im warmen Innenbereich, wo man sofort das Gefühl bekommt in Indien zu sein. Kommen immer wieder sehr gerne vorbei!

Really good indian restaurant. Enjoy one of the most authentic experiences with excellent nice service. Big variety of dishes that are all good. Recommend Thalis if you want to try more than one dish. The mixed starters are a very safe bet if you wanna have an Indian start. We came back here multiple times to indulge in Indian food.

Authentisch indisches Restaurant. Bin gerne hier, egal ob Mittagsmenü oder gemütliches Abendessen, mit dem Indian Village kann man nicht viel falsch machen. Essen: Gute Portionen, bestens gewürzt und auch im Preis-Leistungsverhältnis auf einem guten Niveau (Mittagsmenü sehr zu empfehlen). Service: Das gesamte Servicepersonal ist sehr engagiert, den Gästen einen angenehmen Aufenthalt zu bieten - stets sehr höflich und zuvorkommend. Ambiente: Deko innen ist ein wenig drüber, aber das erwartet man ja - Außenbereich trotz direkter Lage an einer vielbefahrenen Straße schön gestaltet - persönlich sitz ich lieber innen.

War heute mit meinen Freund im Indian Village essen und es war wirklich sehr sehr lecker. Der Kellner war extrem freundlich und aufmerksam, hatte nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist und uns die Schärfegrade erklärt. Wir hatten uns für Medium scharf und indisch scharf entschieden, was für den europäischen Gaumen wirklich sehr scharf war (Achtung😁) aber für uns genau richtig! Das chicken tikka masala und das Paneer Butter masala können wir sehr empfehlen. Alles in allem fabelhaftes Essen und ein super schöner Abend. :) Gruß aus Stuttgart

I have been living in Munich for over a decade and this place is the best Indian restaurant I have come across during my time in the city. Indian Village is on par with some of London’s best curry houses. The Bhuna is my favourite dish and be sure to finish with a delicious mango lassi.

I had walked past this place for 2 years on my wanders and just yesterday decided to go inside. What a hidden gem- food was impeccable, Best curry I've had in München thus far. Staff very friendly and prompt, will be recommending to all of my friends. Great prices too, worth every cent. Thanks for the great food and experience guys

Food was super, service kind and fast. We also followed some recommendations on food, and they were on spot. Highly recommended for a tasty dinner in company. Only minor spot the garden is quite noisy because of the nearby street, but nothing annoying just a small dent to the atmosphere.
