Great food with nice friendly staff. Sorry that we kept you open for so long! It is a little bit out of the way, but worth the effort indeed!

I was there with friends over the weekend. It was incredibly delicious. The owner is very service-oriented and friendly. Highly recommended. And the spicy food is truly spicy.

Nan is very soft We ordered matar keema and seekh kabab . Restaurant has street parking and 25 people can accommodate. Service is good and music is nice . Food is not too expensive for the quality . I recommend

Was here with family for dinner. Very good place for Indian food. chicken and Mutton Biryani was excellent. Especially Tandoori Chicken was ultimately tastier. One of the best tandoori. Highly recommend this for good Indian food.

I usually get delivery service (inhouse wasapp) but today we went to eat in. Lovely patio in the sun with or without shade. Food delicious : Bhuna Masala, Jalfrezi, chili chicken, Korma, Butter chicken. We are working sour way thru the menu 😂😂 Garlic Naan bread and pappadams also great. Everything delicious and far away from the hustle bustle of the city. Great prices and more authentic than any of the city restaurants I’ve tried so far… Thank you and see you again soon

We've been ordering from Swaad for years now, and I can't stress enough how AMAZING the food is! I've never eaten Indian food this good. (For my Western palate, anyway :-)) The price/performance ratio is more than fair. Meat dishes aren't skimped on either the meat or the sauce, and the naan is always warm and fresh when it arrives. As long as Swaad continues to deliver, we'll continue to order from there whenever we're craving Indian food. You guys are doing a great job! ⭐️

We had a wonderful evening at Swaad – the food was simply fantastic! I would particularly like to highlight the paneer dishes: The paneer was wonderfully tender, the sauces wonderfully seasoned, and full of aromatic depth. You can taste the fresh ingredients and the traditional preparation. The paneer is homemade. The lamb dish with rice was also an absolute delight – the meat was buttery tender, perfectly cooked, and wonderfully seasoned. The spices were intense but balanced – exactly what you would expect from authentic Indian cuisine. The ambience is tasteful and inviting, and the service was very friendly, attentive, and warm. If you want to enjoy Indian cuisine at the highest level, Swaad Cologne is the place for you. We will definitely be back when we are in Cologne again! Our children loved it too.

I love this store. I don't like eating outside because of it A) is not always nutritious enough, B) is expensive and C) because I don't know whether Teflon pans are used for cooking/frying. (This eternal chemical is not a joke, but a disaster) But here the price-performance ratio is right, you get nutritious food and today I was able to observe - with my chef's eyes - from the checkout that they apparently use decent stainless steel pans here. So without Teflon. That makes me even happier. I was able to really enjoy my meal afterwards. That's why I'm very happy with this review

Super tasty and, as far as I can tell, very authentic food, some of the best Indian food I've had in Germany so far! The service is extremely courteous and friendly! Unfortunately I don't live in Cologne, otherwise I would definitely be there regularly!

Tastes like India and the service is super nice. The furnishings and comfort are more of a snack bar than a restaurant. But the quality makes up for everything.

We ordered here today for the first time, but definitely not the last time. Ordering via WhatsApp went smoothly and the promised 10% discount was taken into account straight away. The size of the portion was decent, I was particularly pleasantly surprised with the Garlic Naan because it was really a big piece, in most other Indian restaurants they are probably half as big 😅 We had the Chicken Korma and the Chicken Tikka Masala and both tasted excellent. The chicken was really very tender. In terms of price, I think it's totally okay. Price-performance ratio is right here. We will definitely order here more often.

The Indian restaurant with the fastest inflation in Cologne. When I entered the small restaurant, the dish I ordered still cost €11.90 according to the poster in the window. When I wanted to pay it suddenly cost €14.90 and the owner had meanwhile covered the old price with a handwritten note and scotch tape. Despite my complaint, they brazenly insisted on the higher price. I then paid, but even though the food was tasty, I'll never go there again.

The butter chicken is particularly recommended for very tasty Indian dishes. You can have the dishes delivered or enjoy them in peace and quiet on site. Deliveries have always been quick and the food arrived hot. Everything perfect! I will gladly come again!!!

Service here is always very bad. The waiter brings the plates forgets the cutlery. Last time we got them ourselves. Taste of food has not been the best since they started. Only the dum biryanis taste good. We’ll take a break from this restaurant, maybe service will improve in the future..

A great little restaurant with take away and delivery service. We ate on site and loved all the dishes. The enthusiasm about the food was only topped by the young man who served us and, according to his own statement, represented the actual owners. We haven't had such friendly and accommodating service in a restaurant for a long time!

I ordered butter chicken and a mango lassi. The butter chicken was soo delicious, the sauce was very flavourful and thick. The mango lassi was one of the best ones I ever had, it was very fresh made with it seemed fresh mango fruits, and sprinkle of coconut. Delightful. I can only recommend.

Solid Indian snack bar offering delicious dishes at reasonable prices. My personal favorites are the minced meat dishes and the homemade, large naans. Nobody has to leave the store hungry. The service is convincing with its friendly nature. Even food delivered directly from the store to take home is warm and no less bad than locally. It's worth a visit!

Very tasty freshly prepared Indian food. If you can't tolerate spiciness, you can choose very mild dishes. The service is very friendly. The lunch dishes are very good value for money, but if you are really hungry you should choose a regular dish.

We did a take away of the Biryani and Chicken Curry. The food was amazing and the quantity was apt for the price. Would definitely recommend this place for good authentic Indian food.

Wir haben bei Lieferando das Essen bestellt. Das Essen war lecker und wirklich scharf. Aus persönlichen Gründen mussten wir das Restaurant kontaktieren, das Personal war sehr freundlich und hat unseren Wünsche erfüllt.

Habe per Lieferung bestellt. Hat dann entspannte 2h gedauert bis es kam. Das Essen war voll in Ordnung mehr aber auch nicht. Butter Chicken bekomme ich ehrlich gesagt mit YouTube besser hin.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Wir haben zum Abholen bestellt und darum gebeten 10 min vorher angerufen zu werden. Dies hat hervorragend funktioniert und das Essen war richtig gut! :)

Sehr freundliches Personal. Das Essen hat super geschmeckt und den Mango Lassie kann man echt empfehlen. Auch zu empfehlen ist das Menü, wo man zwei tagesbezogene Gerichte in Miniformat bekommt so kann man sich schnell durch die Karte probieren und satt wird man auch und es gibt sogar einen Nachtisch.

Got the assorted appetizer (samosa, aloo, pakora) and it didn’t taste very fresh, ended up leaving it mostly uneaten. Butter Chicken and Tikka Masala main dishes were pretty good. Unfortunately they don’t take cards in person so had to leave the restaurant to find an ATM. This is partly my mistake for not having cash with me, but they have an online ordering system so I do think it’s a little unreasonable to not accept cards while dining in.

Essen kam in dem Zeitraum, der vorher angegeben wurde. Es war auch lecker, warm und eine gute Portion. Ich kann nur leider keine gute Bewertung geben, da ich eine Stunde nach dem Essen alles wieder erbrochen habe und heftige Schweißausbrüche bekommen habe. Keine Ahnung, ob mit dem Chicken irgendwas nicht gestimmt hat, aber diese Erfahrung hat mir indisches Essen leider für eine ziemlich lange Zeit vermiest.

Authentisches indisches Essen zum guten Preis. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und der Service überaus freundlich! Empfehlenswert sind das Pakora Curry und das selbstgemachte Mango Lassi. Die Preise sind zum Mittagessen auch günstig.

Kann die gute Bewertung leider nicht nachvollziehen - Lieferung kam sehr schnell, preislich OK, geschmacklich zu einfach, die Gewürzmischungen nicht spannend bzw. nicht intensiv sondern fad und langweilig, wer schonmal leckeres Indisches Essen probieren durfte wird hier sehr enttäuscht sein leider

Das Essen ist immer sehr schnell serviert und ausnahmslos köstlich. Als wäre das noch nicht genug ist auch der Service noch super.
