A perfect evening with the girls, lovely lounge music, friendly, unobtrusive, and charming service, delicious food. Comfortable armchairs, not too big, and—importantly—conversation at a normal volume was possible. The staff handled the small child at the next table in a relaxed and attentive manner—everything was calm and satisfactory.

We attended a sushi class offered there on Sunday. They gave us great explanations of how to prepare sushi, and when it came to making our own sushi, they were always there to help and offer tips. A lovely atmosphere and simply delicious sushi. It's a 12/10 and a recommendation! We'll be back.

Very delicious food and great service! I went there with my boyfriend and was served by the lovely Kaja – super warm and attentive. It was my second visit, and once again I went home completely satisfied. The service was excellent, and the sushi was not only fresh and delicious, but also very varied – there are many exciting variations that you rarely find elsewhere. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a cozy spot with special sushi and a friendly atmosphere!

The restaurant advertises a €40 all-you-can-eat buffet – on the menu, it costs €44.95. Apparently, they still need to update their website. However, the restaurant had already found time to print and laminate the new menus. Strange! Then we saw that some other reviews had criticized the same thing a few weeks earlier. This isn't correct! The sushi was okay to good – but not award-worthy (how did this restaurant win all these awards?). The ambiance wasn't particularly nice, and the background music was awful. I wouldn't go back.

Guys, you recently had a great review and are now ruining it yourself. Maybe you should accept the criticism you're currently receiving instead of arguing against it. The thing about the price difference between the website and the menu is ridiculous, and the argument about the cash register system is unfair competition! You're luring people into your restaurant with false promises. Your sushi is good, yes. But not top-notch! And you want to charge even more for that? You can easily make up for that with the drinks. Speaking of drinks: if Aperol is on the menu, you should serve Aperol and not some no-name product. That's not right! The ambiance is really uncomfortable! It's kind of spooky when the waitress isn't visible most of the time. But when she was there, she was very friendly and helpful! Overall, a disappointing experience!

Unfortunately, the visit was a huge disappointment. I went for the all-you-can-eat option, which was listed online for €40 but was offered on site for €44.99. After being told there was a separate menu that didn't include everything on the regular menu, we were a bit surprised by the price. When we wanted to order after 20 minutes, we learned that the hot dishes (starters) also had to be paid for separately. So we decided to eat à la carte. We ordered three starters. Two arrived within 10 minutes of each other, and the third never arrived. The actual sushi took over 60 minutes from the time we entered the shop. We ordered the sushi dog, among other things, but how you're supposed to eat it... I'm still not sure. I then ordered a knife to cut the approximately 20 cm long sushi roll, but I got a dirty butter knife with grease and leftovers still stuck to it. When we pointed this out to the waitress, she immediately apologized and was visibly uncomfortable. In general, it seemed to us that she was uncomfortable with the whole process, the waiting time, and the whole experience. She was friendly, but also completely overwhelmed, and she was the only waitress, which normally wouldn't be a problem for seven tables. Unfortunately, she wasn't particularly organized, so she forgot things, and everything took an extra long. We only got plates for the sushi the second time we asked, and not for the appetizers. The fried sushi was tasty, but there are much better quality and more intense flavors available. The regular sushi was also a bit of a disappointment. Happy Eat offers a more intense flavor. Paid €82 for two people with a drink each. Disappointed and not full. I can't understand how this could get 4.4 stars. The best experience of the evening was the hand soap in the restroom, which had a very pleasant smell. The fact that the toilet paper was empty and the lights went out after about 20 seconds wasn't exactly a hit either. I'm just glad we didn't opt for the all-you-can-eat option. That would have only caused more frustration due to the long wait, limited selection, and hefty price tag.

Two of us went for the all-you-can-eat option and were sadly disappointed. We had to wait an hour (!!) for our first round of sushi – a real no-go for an AYCE. The drinks (Coke & soda) also took half an hour. The second round arrived shortly after the two hours you have to eat... the wait times thus render the concept completely redundant. "Eat until you're full" definitely doesn't work. The taste of the sushi wasn't our cup of tea. The drinks are even too expensive by Hamburg standards (€7 for a 0.3 liter soda from a bottle...). The service was nice, but unfortunately much too slow. I came across the restaurant through social media posts and couldn't confirm the impressions I had after my visit. Too bad :(

The staff was friendly, but it seems as if they have to prepare orders in the kitchen when there's a lot of takeout business. With the AYCE offering, you sometimes wait 15-20 minutes before you see a staff member to order or for the bill. When you're offering something like that for a hefty price of €44.90, you should be "close" to the customers. Furthermore, the website advertises the offer for €40, which is the price I used to make my reservation. This doesn't seem professional and isn't acceptable. This unfortunately dampens my desire to visit the restaurant again. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it, as the rolls are creative.

Disappointing all-you-can-eat experience at Sushimen – unfortunately not recommended Three of us went to Sushimen on a weekday because we had high expectations based on a recommendation from Scartaste – unfortunately, we were disappointed. We opted for the all-you-can-eat menu, but the first round left us stunned: Our order didn't arrive for 45 minutes. When we then wanted to order the next round – while we were still eating – the waiter explained to us in a very unfriendly tone that we had to finish everything before we could order again. In our opinion, this isn't a true all-you-can-eat concept, because the long wait time means you're simply full at some point and can hardly order anything else. Furthermore, you can only order one roll per person in subsequent rounds, which further complicates the process. After we finished the first round, we placed our second order with a friendlier waiter. He promised that our order would arrive in about 10 minutes – but even after more than 30 minutes, nothing had arrived. Finally, another employee (presumably the owner) came over and asked if we wanted to order anything else. We explained that we had already ordered – but it seemed as if the order hadn't been honored. So we had to place it again. By this point, however, we had hardly any appetite left, so we ordered significantly less than originally planned. Overall, the all-you-can-eat menu wasn't worth it for us at all. Furthermore, the sushi selection was rather limited, and appetizers weren't included in the menu – which we found disappointing for an all-you-can-eat offer. Positive: The sushi was fresh and tasted okay. Nevertheless, the overall negative impression predominates: The service was disorganized and at times rude, the concept inflexible, and the processes not well thought out. Especially since we came to Sushimen on the recommendation of Scartaste, we had hoped for much more. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the store. In addition to the review, I would like to address the owner's public reaction: The accusation that we "coordinated" our reviews is unfounded. We wrote our reviews independently of each other – based on a joint visit during which we all had similar negative experiences. If multiple guests have the same impressions, this speaks more to structural weaknesses than to collusion. Instead of taking our objective criticism seriously, it is ridiculed and questioned in general. As paying guests, we expect feedback to be handled professionally – not implicit insinuations. The nature of the reaction unfortunately confirms the impression we already formed of the service on site. Best regards

We were really looking forward to our visit thanks to Scartaste's recommendation. Unfortunately, the service didn't meet our expectations. Our order was taken by the driver—not a waiter—which caused some confusion. The sushi selection was rather small, and appetizers aren't included in the all-you-can-eat offer. After 45 minutes, our first sushi order finally arrived—it tasted really fresh and delicious. When we immediately wanted to reorder, another employee—presumably the owner—explained the all-you-can-eat principle to us in a very unfriendly and condescending manner: Reordering is only permitted once everything has been eaten. He was probably already annoyed at having to constantly explain this, in our eyes, pointless concept. After such a long wait, surely we start to feel full? Nevertheless, we placed our second order with the driver—already half-full, of course. Otherwise, we would have come for nothing for an all-you-can-eat meal. The driver said we only had to wait 10 minutes. After exactly 30 minutes, however, the other employee (or owner?) came back to the table and asked if we even wanted to order something, because we'd apparently "been waiting for a while." Our order was obviously forgotten – there was no apology. In the Instagram comments, the restaurant claims that the wait times have now been reduced to 15 minutes – unfortunately, we can't confirm this. Despite the delicious sushi and the Scartaste discount, we, as big sushi fans, won't be coming back. The service and the all-you-can-eat concept were simply too disappointing for us. What a shame.

It's obvious he has no idea what he's doing and acts very unprofessional towards customers when it's not even his job! We waited over 40 minutes for our sushi rolls, EVEN IF THEY WERE FRESH. No. This wait time is definitely not normal! Since we waited so long, we wanted to order the next two rolls right away. But our order wasn't taken because they apparently have different rules. Okay, but that's how you explain things to customers in a friendly way! He was totally annoyed (not the driver) and served us very rudely. After we finished everything, we ordered the two rolls from the driver. After HALF AN HOUR, we were told that our order hadn't been taken at all?!?!!?! What a shame. If you're going to offer something like this, you should be well prepared. More SERVERS on the counter and workers in the kitchen!! First and last time...

The four of us ordered the all you can eat. The sushi was really tasty, even if the selection on the all you can eat menu wasn't particularly large. The biggest problem was the waiting times between rounds. We waited 40 minutes for our first 3 rolls. After that we had to wait another 30 minutes and for our last lap we had to wait 25 minutes. So we spent most of the evening waiting while we counted over 20 deliveries within that time. The only service in the house was always very friendly

Good morning, My girlfriend and I had dinner at your place yesterday. The service was good and it was pleasantly quiet during the week. However, I have to say that the price of €45 per person for the all you can eat offer is quite excessive. The sushi was okay, but nothing special. We were informed that with the Scartaste app you only pay €30 per person, which I think is absolutely fair for the selection and quality on offer. For comparison: At Kofokoo you pay €35 and, in addition to similarly good sushi, you also get side dishes such as meat, duck, soups, etc. Unfortunately, that was completely missing from you. Small details such as broken bowls, old candles and simple wooden sticks also don't make a particularly good impression and should, in my opinion, be replaced. In the end we paid €107 for two people including tips and drinks. As I said, the service was friendly and did a good job. In my opinion, an adjustment would make sense in terms of price. Conclusion: If you feel like it, you can try it out and see for yourself.

Very tasty and unusual sushi variants. But the standards are also there. But I would recommend trying the homemade versions. At first we were a bit confused about All You Can Eat but it's worth the price if you're a good eater. The waitress explained things to us very kindly twice. The service was attentive and kind. The menu and the website are not entirely identical because of the AYCE variant. Don't get confused :) I also like the color in the decor. They reflect the colorful sushi rolls. Chairs are comfortable. My only drawback is that in colder temperatures outside, the table can get very tight when smokers/guests go in and out often. I would like to see a shield for the front door in winter to protect against dirt.

The two of us went to the all-you-can-eat and redeemed the discount via Neotaste. The price of 35 euros plus a drink per person was absolutely fair for what was on offer. The sushi was not only of high quality in terms of taste, but also a visual highlight - the presentation was really beautiful! A big compliment also to our waiter, who was extremely knowledgeable about gluten-free nutrition and gave us excellent advice. A small note: There are only a few places, so a reservation is definitely recommended. This fact also ensures that it is pleasantly quiet - completely different to many other all-you-can-eat restaurants, where things are often loud and hectic. The entire evening was a pleasure and we went home more than full and satisfied. I will definitely come back – thank you for a great evening! Update: Unfortunately our opinion has now changed. We've been here two more times since our first visit and it was just frustrating. The quality of the food is still excellent, but the waiting times are a disaster. Both times the first round took over an hour and overall the process was extremely slow. We are extremely disappointed because the restaurant actually has so much potential - but if you have to wait forever for your food, even the best quality is of no use.

I had the opportunity to take the sushi class at Sushi-Man today and it was an all around great experience! The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, the team incredibly friendly and helpful. You immediately notice that there are real professionals at work here who are passionate about what they do. The course itself was extremely structured - you not only get a lot of knowledge about ingredients and techniques, but you also get to get hands-on. I was particularly impressed by the patience and good humor of the team, who answered every question and gave even beginners a sense of achievement. The best thing: Of course, at the end you got to enjoy your own sushi – and it was simply delicious! If you love sushi and want to get creative yourself, you should definitely try this course. My visit to Sushimen was unfortunately disappointing. There was only one waitress for the entire restaurant, which resulted in long waits. She also didn't seem particularly competent, and our drinks didn't arrive until after our meals – a complete no-go. As for the sushi itself: It's a matter of taste, but it definitely wasn't for me. Overall, it's not a restaurant I would recommend.

Long waiting times, tough nori sheets & cold room Unfortunately the visit was disappointing. Even though it was an all-you-can-eat, we had to wait 20-30 minutes each time for the waiter to take our order - even if our plates were empty. The nori sheets were tough and elastic instead of crisp, which made the sushi unpleasant. The room was also cold, so we didn't feel comfortable eating. Overall not a pleasant experience.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend the delivery option at all. Despite ordering early and allowing enough time, the delivery was more than 30 minutes late. It took a total of 1.5 hours from ordering to delivery. When I called, I was given excuses instead of taking responsibility. This is also strikingly common in the reviews here; it seems to be a pattern. It's a real shame, as the sushi itself is very good. I've been to the restaurant several times before, but after today's experience, I'll probably avoid it in the future. — To address the owner's response: If I order at 7:47 p.m. for 8:30 p.m., that's still 43 minutes. So, it can hardly be called a standard time of 45 minutes if the delivery doesn't arrive until around 9:10 p.m. And strangely, I didn't mention a pre-order in my review.

I went to sushimen a week ago with my sister and a friend, and we made a reservation. When we arrived, we were seated at a bar table, and my sister was given a folding chair, even though the reservation stated there were three of us. This is absolutely outrageous, since we had made a reservation and wanted to try the all-you-can-eat buffet, and the table was simply too small for that. The worst part was that there were so many tables available, and yet we still got the worst seat in the restaurant. When we asked if we could get another table (which was also FREE), we were simply told that it wasn't their responsibility. We left immediately because such an experience was simply rude and disrespectful. I would absolutely NOT recommend this restaurant.

I was at this shop in the evening today and was really looking forward to the all you can eat and, despite the good food, I realized that I don't want to visit this restaurant again. After ordering, we waited a whopping 48 minutes for our food. The waitress was extremely overwhelmed. While we were there, 2 tables left their seats and left because of the long wait. There was nothing wrong with the sushi. Our drinks (cola) arrived without any carbonation and unchilled. The ambience was actually good, but in such a small room without music it was quite unpleasant when you could hear every word from the tables further away.

Google Review for SushiMan – Disastrous Experience! An absolutely disappointing visit! I've been to many restaurants, but what happened here surpasses everything in incompetence and indifference. First of all, we waited an incredible 50 minutes for our food - and then nothing came! No apology, no information, just nothing. When asked, the waitress reacted extremely unprofessionally and disinterestedly, as if she didn't care that we were waiting forever. No offer of compensation, no accommodation – absolutely nothing. The entire restaurant seemed chaotic and poorly organized. The tables were so close together that you practically had to sit with the people sitting next to you. Zero atmosphere, zero feel-good factor. And then the absolute highlight: The Neotaste voucher was not accepted, even though everything was stated correctly and the voucher should have worked according to the app. If a restaurant participates in such platforms, it should adhere to the terms and conditions - or just leave it alone! Conclusion: Incredibly slow service, poor organization, no customer orientation and then also voucher rip-offs. I can only advise everyone not to eat here - money, time and nerves can definitely be better spent. Never again!

We were there on Saturday with a reservation for 3 people. Basically a nice restaurant (even if very narrow) and very tasty sushi. The idea of ​​All You Can Eat Sushi is also reasonably priced at €44.99. But: we didn't really have the opportunity to order from the normal menu and had to do the All You Can Eat. Things like edamame and the like are not included here. Very unfortunate. It is not clear beforehand what is involved until you are there. After we finally ordered, we got our drinks after 1 hour (2x tea because we found it very cold there and 1x cola). We then waited another 45 minutes (SO ALMOST 2 HOURS) for our sushi. When we asked why it would take so long, we first received a dismissive smile and then the statement that it was stressful today, that it was the waitress's first day and that the chef had mixed up a few things. It has to be said that all visitors who came at about the same time as us were also NOT served. The rest of the visitors waited in vain to order again. Eventually everyone left. A group of 4 gave up after 1.5 hours and left without eating. Ultimately, we got our drinks on the house upon request, because we found their offer of extra rolls on the house at All You Can Eat very strange. In the end, the bar employee deducted €45 instead of €44.99. At that moment we didn't care, we just wanted to leave, but that was also an absurdity for this terrible service. We probably won't eat here again.

We tried the all you can eat. The sushi was ok, the rice was way too dry and the seaweed leaves in the sushi were way too tough so you had to chew on it for a long time. Despite all you can eat, they charged €2.99 per sauce ALSO SOYASAUCE - absolutely unfair prices for average to bad sushi. The service was visibly overwhelmed and didn't make the whole experience any better.

I haven't had such bad sushi in a long time. The inside of the sushi roll was so cold, like it had been in the fridge all day. The all-you-can-eat offer makes no sense at all if you have to wait 30 minutes for your food, can only order three rolls in the first course and only one roll in each subsequent course, and the whole thing is limited to two hours. Halal refers not only to the meat but also to the drinks :)

5 stars – highly recommended! We went to Sushimen today as a group to celebrate a birthday and it was just amazing! The food was incredibly tasty, the service was great and the owner was super friendly. I was particularly impressed by the Korean Fried Chicken – simply WOW! The chili mayo was perfectly seasoned, and it's great that the chicken is halal. I would order again at any time! Thank you for the great evening – we will definitely be back. Disappointing – never again! We ordered all-you-can-eat and had to wait over an hour for the first round. The water only came after 50 minutes - and then it was wrong. Plates weren't brought until we had already finished our food. The staff was unfriendly and absolutely incompetent. Since we had another appointment, after waiting almost two hours, we asked if we could take the second round since it still didn't come. The boss then came to us and reacted extremely rudely: "If you don't like it, you don't have to eat here." No apology, no accommodation, just rude answers. Being able to eat just one round for 80 euros is an absolute disgrace. If you're looking for bad service, long waiting times and unfriendly staff, this is the place for you. Otherwise: stay away!

Unfortunately you don't have to pay extra for all you can eat starters. The sushi that is on the homepage is not available either, you get an extra menu. Quality is okay but variations are not particularly good, the sushi is not worth €40 in terms of craftsmanship. The ambience is small, there is a constant draft and the door opens for the Lieferando drivers. There are better stores for the money the hype on the internet is fake.

Unfortunately our visit was disappointing. I strongly suspect that hard basmati rice was used in the sushi instead of sushi rice - it completely ruined the taste and texture. The rice was dry and cold, while the edamame was served warm but the rest of the meal was also cold. We had to wait over an hour for our food, even though another table that had ordered after us was served much earlier. The staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. When we asked for a seat we were just told to sit wherever we wanted. When we wanted to take a chair from another table, we were rudely told not to. The music was also way too loud and the chicken sushi was cold and dry. For this quality and service, the prices are a disgrace - value for money: 1/10. Unfortunately, absolutely not recommended. Attached are the rolls I had.

I visited Sushimen yesterday and chose Scartaste All You Can Eat (AYCE), but unfortunately I can't recommend the place. The selection in AYCE mode is extremely limited: many classic variants such as maki or nigiri are not included, which severely limits the variety. However, the process was particularly disappointing: you can initially order three roles and then only another role. I had to wait about 45 minutes for the first three roles, for the next single role for another 30 minutes. The long wait times meant I had to leave unsated as I wasn't prepared to spend my entire day there. It is advertised that the meat in this restaurant is Helal. When I asked, I was told that the beef is not Helal. The sushi rolls themselves didn't taste bad, but unfortunately they were poorly made: They were rolled so loosely that you could hardly eat them with a fork. In the end I had no choice but to “scoop” them up with a fork. All in all, the visit to Sushimen was not satisfactory.

Even though we arrived shortly before closing time, we still managed to get something to eat. The service was very nice and friendly. The sushi was delicious, as were the gyoza and spring rolls. The price was absolutely reasonable. I highly recommend it!

The weekend lunch buffet is 17 euros, with unlimited time and up to 3 hours of eating. No one asks if you want to order a drink. It's like a cafeteria!!! There aren't many dishes, but they are all delicious. I especially like the mixed beans, shredded potatoes, and mixed eggplant. Highly recommended! (Be prepared with cash)

A 10/10 sushi experience. The special atmosphere is created by the exclusivity (very small restaurant), the service is first-class and extremely friendly. The food is exceptionally good, visually appealing, and tastes simply outstanding. The appetizers already blew us away (gyoza and spring rolls); they were the best we've ever eaten.
