Sushi Lô in Hamburg

We were very satisfied last night! The food is very good! The service...one of the dishes was brought incorrectly, and the second drink was also wrong 🤨 (There were "only" 5 tables occupied, including ours.) The men's restroom is very "Asian" 😕

I don't like sushi. BUT: if you don't like sushi and want to bring your friends along out of goodwill, you're better off staying home. I ordered a crème brûlée. It was like pudding. Not creamy at all, and not even tasty. A complete waste of 7 euros. The Coke came in a glass and wasn't fizzy either. It was probably poured from a large bottle to save money. And it cost 3.50 euros! I can't comment on the sushi, but I'm definitely not going back there. I also didn't find the atmosphere very pleasant.

Food delicious, sushi good, pho better, very good option if you have small children as they can play freely, lots of children, good atmosphere for families.

I discovered this lovely little restaurant in Rotherbaum a few weeks ago. The food (sushi) is excellent, and the prices are great. I recently went back, and I found the Thai curry with duck very tasty. I won't have to wait long for my next visit.

Incredibly delicious sushi; I've rarely eaten such good and, above all, varied food. It only took 15 minutes from ordering to delivery – surprisingly fast. Everything was freshly prepared, and the tempura rolls were even still hot. You could really taste the high quality of the fish. Soy sauce wasn't even necessary, as the rolls and the sauces on them harmonized so perfectly. The €110 for the platter for four people was completely justified and well worth the price. We will definitely be back in the future.

We ate at Sushi Lo. We used to go there quite often, and the food was always very good, but unfortunately, our last visit was a huge disappointment. We ordered a pho soup, which was completely tasteless and just tasted like water. We also ordered a dish with rice and vegetables (vegetarian), which was equally bland – no seasoning or flavor whatsoever. We complained to the waiter immediately. The soup was taken back and credited, but we were still charged in full for the rice dish, even though we hadn't eaten any of it. Sushi Lo used to be highly recommended, but this time it was disastrous – both the food and the service. It would have been nice if they had been a little more accommodating. It's a real shame; we probably won't be coming back.

Sushi Lo used to be my favorite place. The last few times I've been there, the kimchi didn't taste good anymore and was completely different. Much oilier, less red seasoning, and just not good at all. The kimchi used to be really, really delicious. Unfortunately, it hasn't been for months. The sushi also doesn't seem as fresh anymore and the portions are really small. I'm afraid I won't be coming back for the time being. And something really strange: they rarely accept debit card payments! If you order by phone, they say cash only. When I ask, they say card payments are accepted for orders over €20. Then, if you order over €20, they say no, and pickup orders are cash only. So, sorry, but it's obvious what's going on here. I can't believe nobody's noticed.

Great restaurant with excellent food. I'm not usually a sushi fan, but even I found some rolls to my liking among the selection. If you're not in the mood for sushi, there's a wide variety of other dishes. It definitely won't be our last visit. I recommend making a reservation, as it can fill up very quickly.

The best sushi you can find in Hamburg! 🍣 I'm from Estonia and I love sushi, but unfortunately, it's hard to find really good sushi in Hamburg. But I discovered you – and you're simply fantastic! I've been to your place three times already and I'll definitely be back. It's a bit of a drive from where I live, but that's just another reason to take a nice trip and visit you again! 💕

The food was very tasty I would recommend it

The food was delicious and arrived surprisingly quickly, even though the restaurant was packed. The value for money was absolutely excellent. The service was friendly and attentive – nothing special, but pleasant. There's a good selection for vegetarians and vegans – we especially recommend the Tammy Friends sushi and the udon noodles with tofu and seitan. Overall, a very good experience; we would definitely return and recommend the restaurant!

Sushi Lo impresses with its large and balanced selection of delicious dishes. The staff are very friendly and attentive. We've only tried the lunch menu so far, but I'm sure everything else will be just as good. I particularly note that everything is served very fresh and hot.

Good restaurant with good food. My group was there in the evening and found the atmosphere outside strange. Young people were staring at us and smoking next to us. I assume this is an isolated incident.

The food is very good. It was also quite quick. The waitress could have checked if you wanted something to drink, for example. The tables are very close together. Unfortunately, I now know everything from the guy at the next table.

I definitely recommend it! Cozy place, very fast service, and incredible value for money. The menu is extensive: a variety of sushi, poke bowls, ramen, and other hot dishes. Two large sushi sets arrived less than 10 minutes after ordering. The sushi was delicious and very affordable. Everything was very fresh and carefully prepared. The homemade lemonades are also delicious. 10/10 😍

Unfortunately, 75% of takeaway orders are incorrectly packaged and generally no longer warm. They say it'll be 30 minutes, and after 10 minutes, it's just sitting there, getting cold. It's annoying when you're looking forward to something and then something else is in the bag—and it's not even warm anymore. For us, this is now over—after 8 incorrect and cold orders. There's still work to be done here.

I went to Sushi Lo with my daughter and granddaughter, my second attempt at getting acquainted with sushi. It was a complete success: the food was very good and tasty, the service excellent, and the staff friendly and attentive, which is essential when dealing with small children. My visit to Sushi Lo shattered my initial skepticism about sushi and also motivated me to learn how to eat with chopsticks. In short: a worthwhile visit.

Personally, I didn't enjoy the food that much, and the hot dishes were cold and poorly presented. The servers always seemed tired and disinterested. The bartender, in particular, was irritated and dismissive, despite my polite request for a little more ginger for my sushi. I could certainly understand this behavior if the place were busy, but at this point, it wasn't really that busy, and she was even playing a video game on her phone. She simply responded with "Wait a minute." Such disrespectful and unprofessional behavior toward customers is unacceptable. We won't be back!

The tables were dirty, and there were empty plastic bottles on the floor. We also sat outside. The sushi was okay, and the prices were reasonable. Service, however, was not good at all. The waitress placed the drinks on the other side of the table. (We were sitting at a table of four, and there were only two of us.) Napkins and cutlery were also thrown down. We didn't like that.

I asked very politely if I could order Bento 14 with just meat because I don't eat fish, and the waiter didn't understand and cheekily said it wasn't possible. However, I'd already eaten at the Schanze, and the swapping worked out very well. In my opinion, it wouldn't have been a big deal...

I go there regularly and have never been disappointed. For me, the value for money is absolutely spot on. Apart from that, it's one of the best restaurants in Hamburg in terms of taste.

Sushi Lô is a small, unassuming shop, but that's exactly what makes it so appealing. The decor is simple, but clean, and cozy. The focus here is on the food, and you notice it right away. The sushi was surprisingly good. Freshly prepared, a nice selection, and the flavors were truly impressive. The classic maki and salmon nigiri were particularly well-executed. No over-the-top rolls, just honest, good sushi at fair prices. The service was friendly and down-to-earth. No show, but attentive and warm. You can tell that the people working here love their jobs and value quality. Ideal for a relaxed, no-nonsense dinner. If you're looking for good sushi without any fuss, this is the place for you. I certainly won't be the last time I visit.

I go to Sushi Lô regularly and am impressed every time. The food is consistently perfect - fresh, flavorful sushi, warm dishes with depth and a delicious wine selection that goes wonderfully with it. Particularly noteworthy is the unbeatable price-performance ratio, especially in this top location on Rothenbaumchaussee. The atmosphere inside is modern and cozy, you immediately feel at home. Outside, you could do some improvements with a few small touches - a little more care of the terrace and regular wiping of the tables (especially because of the leaves from the trees) would round off the overall impression. The staff is friendly, sometimes a bit slow, but always trying hard - and to be honest: you can easily forgive that given the good atmosphere. All in all, a real favorite restaurant that I can only recommend to everyone!

I think the price-performance ratio is great! Sushi is also very tasty! But the male employee there… just kidding! He seems like he has zero interest in serving customers. When you work in catering you have to be friendly, otherwise you're in the wrong department! I once asked him if he could wipe the table outside for a moment, he stared at me for a minute and then at the table and gave strange looks. Unpleasant guy!

Dear! I think the sushi variations are really great. But what you should keep in mind if you are happy about the low prices: they are only half portions. Normally a roll is 8 pieces, here only half a sheet of nori is used and the pieces are then divided into 5. Think about whether the prices are still “so cheap” if you multiply them regularly :) Nevertheless, as I said, I think the sushi is really great and I was satisfied every time

If you like mayonnaise on your sushi, this is a good place. The sushi seemed fresh and the portions were large. Personally, there are far too many sauces on top for me. Seems to be a meeting place for students at lunchtime.

We sat in the back of the restaurant, which was far too cramped and completely unattractive. There was leftover food under the tables and some of the furniture was old and broken. The food, sushi, was just ok for us but by no means a highlight or particularly tasty. Overall, we cannot recommend Sushi Lo

My favorite sushi shop. Everything tastes great and the prices are mega. It's beautifully decorated and the restaurant is generally nicely decorated. Sitting outside is nice but right on a main street.

As always, we are very satisfied. A sushi set was designed in a very original way, it wasn't a classic Filadelfia / California, but rather very unusual creations! We'll definitely be back!

Chef didn't wash hands after toilet!!! During today's visit to Shoulder Blade 3, we unfortunately realized that we wouldn't be coming anymore. When I went to the toilet, the cook (obviously recognizable by his apron) was at the squat toilet. After he finished, he simply went back into the kitchen without washing his hands. Behavior that is absolutely not acceptable and resulted in us leaving the restaurant immediately. We really enjoy going there but afterward we lost our appetite. Very unfortunate

There's a lot of obvious blackmail going on here. Card payment from 20€??? And then in general it is always said that cash is better. Nowadays you can pay cents anywhere by card. Or at least from 10€ but here card payments are only permitted from 20€ and upon request. It couldn't be more obvious. Kimchi also tastes different every time! Very often you get the wrong things when you want to pick them up. Therefore always check!

We were a group of friends who visited this restaurant a few weeks ago. The food was good, especially the sushi was fresh and tasty, and the prices weren't too high for the quality offered. Overall, we found this to have the most consistent and filling sushi of the three Sushi Lo locations in Hamburg. However, if we only cared about the quality of the food and the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant, we would have given it more than 5 stars if possible. But the male waiter's service attitude ruined our pleasant meal and our impression of the restaurant. First, as usual, we asked if they had a table and were greeted with an indifferent look and the answer “It doesn't matter where”. We could have overlooked this if the waiter had harassed the female guests during the meal with meaningless questions like "Do you have a boyfriend?" We felt very uncomfortable and wanted to finish our meal quickly. But that's not all: When I went to pay for my food at the counter, he asked me a lot of insulting questions (I don't want to mention this in the comment because it's not a good idea). Although I tried very hard to avoid his questions because I didn't want to be rude, he had no intention of stopping. I can also understand that he just wanted to communicate with the customers, but his lack of tact and partly his inadequate German resulted in an extremely unpleasant experience for me and my friends. I tried to contact the restaurant owner to think about it privately, but after many calls I couldn't reach him. Overall the service experience was terrible although the quality of the food was very good with more than 5 stars. We will never come back!

I was a long-time friend of this house. I recently sent a reservation request asking if I could come with friends late after one of my concerts at 10:30 p.m. I didn't get an answer, so I asked at my next lunch. The reservation was even already entered in the book! After the concert, we arrived at the restaurant at almost exactly 10:35 p.m., hungry and in a party mood (it was one of the friends' birthdays). When we asked, the waitress told us twice that unfortunately they wanted to call it a day. I insisted that I had a reservation - to no avail. The entire staff was still there, they all stood there snotty. When we were hungry we had to look for another restaurant that was still open at that time. That's not how you treat old friends. I will avoid the restaurant until further notice. Sure, the food is good, but there are other good sushi restaurants in town.

Basically a nice sushi restaurant. We've been here several times. But the impression is that it has subsided within the last 2 years. Overall, the sushi is tasty, but it was also better. This refers to the amount of fish contained and the freshness. Even though the place was only half full, we had to wait 35 minutes for our first meal. (Measured after order placement) It seemed a bit as if something had been forgotten about us in the last corner where we were sitting.

The first time we were there, we waited over an hour for our food, and at first our food was served at the table next to us, so it was complete chaos. Once and never again!

By far the best sushi shop in all of Hamburg and the surrounding area. We were suggested the store about 2 months ago and have been there weekly ever since. The quality of the sushi and tempura shrimp are great! The homemade spicy mayo and the lemonades are fresh and taste good. The service is very friendly and very attentive. We always enjoy coming back. Definitely a heartfelt recommendation.

If you want to eat inexpensive and delicious sushi you should definitely go to Sushi Lô! There are several Sushi Lô locations to choose from within Hamburg. We visited the restaurant on Rothenbaumchaussee with a group of friends. Everyone has put together their favorite dishes from the extensive menu. Mostly sushi rolls were ordered. The majority of sushi rolls consist of 5 or 8 pieces, which cost between €5-10. Roughly speaking, you pay around €12 for a roll of 10, which is great value for money. The food was super tasty and we were served by nice service. The shops are full on weekends, so you should make a reservation as a precaution. We're still happy to come by!

Great food, very tasty and friendly team. Will pick up food here again. There's no need for the overpriced "high-priced" TV chef next door. The sushi here is absolutely up to the mark in terms of quality and is a joy to eat. The service is also outstanding.

I am no sushi fan. I have been trying to get myself to eat it and accept raw fish, however many places fail to get me to love it! Then comes this restaurant, and oh lord, now I understand why people love it. The fish doesn’t smell, I love the different varieties and I love the sauces. Worth the visit.
