I recently visited this restaurant, and unfortunately, my visit was rather disappointing. The food was mediocre at best—neither particularly fresh nor creative at all. For the prices, I definitely expected more. What really made the experience unpleasant, however, was the service: Our server was very attentive at the beginning. Every subsequent order was taken, but unfortunately, it never made it to the table. When we were asked how the meal was at the end, and we replied "It was okay," salt and pepper would have been great. The server disappeared and then returned and asked us if we needed more salt. This caused us to leave the restaurant immediately. It's rare that you only have one drink with a meal.

Very delicious food, which can often be upgraded. The menu is extensive and there's something for almost everyone. The staff is very attentive and polite, without being intrusive. We'll definitely be coming back again.

Sooo! Yesterday, on July 12, 2025, we had a running dinner in Rheine. Dessert was served at Sundays. 12 people, all of which had been pre-ordered! 10 people ordered a Death by Chocolate (pre-ordered for a specific time) and two people a cocktail! Free choice. The chocolate desserts looked carelessly served on the plate! The two cocktails arrived 20 minutes later. We didn't feel welcome! Professional catering is different! Regards, Martín

From the moment we arrived, we were immediately captivated by the cozy, stylish ambiance – you immediately feel comfortable and welcome. The interior is designed with attention to detail, and the atmosphere is just the right mix of relaxed and lively. The food? Simply wow! The burgers were an absolute dream – super juicy, cooked to perfection, and topped with truly delicious ingredients. You can simply taste that quality and flavor are paramount here. The sides were also fresh and perfectly prepared. The cooking here truly comes from heart. We would especially like to highlight the service: Our waitress and her colleague were incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming – even though it was quite busy. Despite the stress, she took the time to check in every now and then to make sure everything was okay, but without ever being intrusive. You really felt welcome and not just "guest number XY." In summary: Super delicious food, a great ambiance, and service that made the visit truly special. We'll definitely be back – and we're really looking forward to it!

My fiancée and I went there for dinner this evening. I would definitely like to highlight the excellent service provided by the very friendly staff. We were actually a bit disappointed with the food. Everything from a chicken breast fillet that was overcooked, a pork tomahawk steak, which is really just a long-bone chop, to the tiramisu for €11.50, raised my doubts about the value for money. The evening cost us €108 plus tip for two people. Unfortunately, that's not right. Our conclusion: Thank you for the great service, but we still won't be coming back for dinner. Sorry...

Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our visit to SunDays Restaurant. I had the pork fillet, which was extremely dry and tough. The potato gratin was equally dry and much too small. Absolutely not worth the price. My husband had a burger and fries, which, while a sufficient portion, was unfortunately served almost cold. The service was very friendly and attentive. But the food, unfortunately, was not worth the price at all. We don't recommend it.

SunDays is a very nice and well equipped restaurant. People are very friendly behaved. They don’t have a big long list menus but the food we order is very tasty and delicious. They have good number of items in kids menu. They are occupied with indoor and outdoor sittings. Drinks are good but not felt a special. Restaurant situated in the middle of Rhine only walkable distance from Bustreff and Bahnhof 🚉.

Good food, friendly service, great location. A minor problem was with the long waiting time for the food, we had to rethink other plans.

We were there for breakfast with a relatively large group, the service staff were very quick, well-coordinated and really friendly 👍 The breakfast was very lavish and rich and the price (around €20 breakfast deluxe) was absolutely justified, salmon and ham of the finest quality but the rest was also delicious. Whatever you didn't get, you could take home with you. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly. Everything was really great there, we’ll definitely be back😄

A few weeks ago I was at Sundays with a friend and ordered the vegetable Thai curry and was very satisfied. I was looking forward to it yesterday and was very disappointed. It felt like I only had sugar snap peas on my plate instead of a variety of vegetables. This time I also ordered prawns. I got three small shrimps for which I paid €7.50. I find that to be quite bold, to say the least.

More appearance than reality... A complete change in the menu, everything at a high price

I would have loved to eat...sorry, but such bad service in a halfway good atmosphere is just not possible. A menu is brought and then no one comes back. Then I was told that the kitchen was closed.

Not mine!! Had pork fillet with pepper sauce. So spicy that you couldn't enjoy the fillet anymore. Unfortunately, the service did not respond to our complaint/notice. Were there with 17 people. Operation not on point. If I had to ask for drinks it didn't happen on its own. I don't have to go there anymore, even at these prices.

It was a bit too unclean for me.

The atmosphere, taste, and service were all satisfactory. I ordered ribs, the price was about 25 euros and the portion was large. I think I'll go again next time 👍

First of all I would like to emphasize the ambience, a water fountain, large parasols and a beautiful terrace. The staff particularly friendly. Toilets were extremely clean which is very rare. The cocktails are absolutely delicious. I couldn't judge food. But the speus n are awesome, you rarely get water buffalo burgers. Looks interesting, there will be next time. Otherwise there's not much to say, well the drinks could be a bit colder, that's my own feeling. Some people like it colder, others a little warmer, but that shouldn't affect the assessment. I can only classify it as a secret tip, the Ems is right nearby, no hustle and bustle from the city, in a quiet location, less than a 2 minute walk to the city.

Sundays: culinary enjoyment with a touch of happiness On Sunday evening the three of us had a lovely meal at Sundays. The evening started tastefully with a smoked salmon tartare with avocado and mango for my son. The perfect balance between fresh and savory notes. As a main course he chose a leg of lamb that was so tender that it fell off the bone effortlessly. My wife and I had an eggplant in tomato sauce with mozzarella as a starter. The eggplant was soft and flavorful, perfectly combined with the creamy mozzarella and fresh tomato sauce. For her main course, my wife chose a curry with al dente vegetables and rice, while I opted for a juicy hamburger. All dishes were prepared with love and served with visible pleasure. We all enjoyed it together and were more than satisfied. When we had just finished our main course, it started to rain. Fortunately, that didn't stop my son from having another delicious tiramisu with fruits. We ended the evening with a cup of tea. The rain stopped just enough to walk back to our hotel. Sundays is definitely recommended for those who enjoy good food and a cozy atmosphere. The perfect end to our day! I had dinner there with my father today. We both had the steak with salad and baked potato. The baked potato with sour cream was a little too lightly seasoned. The steak was well cooked and the herb butter was delicious. The salad was also good and freshly prepared. The service was friendly and accommodating. I also found the ambience to be very inviting. If I want to eat something in Rheine again, Sundays is the first place to go.

The food is great and deliciously prepared. Many ingredients are regional. The wait staff has a lot to do, but is always in a good mood. It's fun to spend a cozy evening here with food and drinks.

We were there for breakfast. The egg dishes, especially the Shakshuka, are very tasty. And there's coffee all the time. We will be back.

Was there for breakfast on a Sunday at the end of May. The terrace was very inviting, the coffee and the Italian breakfast tasted very good; Staff friendly. Price-performance appropriate.

Wow, I have already tried many restaurants in the area, you just feel comfortable here. Price performance, you can't say so bluntly. The spareribs are a dream, the steakhouse stalls should take more than a slice of it. So friendly and accommodating, the service deserves every euro of tip twice. Thank you very much for a culinary delight. We will of course come back.

By far the worst breakfast buffet! For a group of 17 people, the service was terrible and there wasn't even food for half of the people. We had to ask several times until scrambled eggs were finally refilled after 30 minutes. Not recommended at all!

We took a “rest” there during our bike tour and actually just wanted to drink two lattes. However, the guests' food at the bedside table "inspired" us to order something for breakfast and we were thrilled. The service employee was extremely friendly. We were able to sit outside under the umbrellas... Pure vacation! Thanks!

Inside gastronomy with a counter for delicious cocktails and a relaxed ambience with chilled out seating areas and a covered terrace. Food has always been good for me. Staff friendly and attentive. We were a little disappointed this time. Unfortunately the food was just average, especially the meat was way too dry. You can expect a little more from a restaurant in this price range. The kitchen at “SunDay” could do that better. The service staff were friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere (especially outside in summer) is great.

Unfortunately we had a table right at a counter. There was stuff standing around there, but above all the cutlery was being sorted there and it was really loud. They didn't want to give us another table for four, we would have simply had to swap, as we had reserved for four people. The food was ok, unfortunately nothing more. My burger and fries were cold, and so was my husband. I think the prices are really cool. Anyone who knows the salmon burger from Antekoje will be disappointed at Sunday's, as I was.

Mit 7 Personen zum Abendessen vor Ort gewesen. Ambiente und Service sind gut. Sauber, aufgeräumte und mit genügend Platz zwischen den Tischen angebotene Location. Angebote Speisen sind recht teuer. Günstigstes Menu, Gänseburger für 22,50 EUR. Kein Schnitzel oder ähnliches im Angebot. Die 3 gelieferten Schweinelendchen für 26,50 EUR reichen einem erwachsenen Mann leider lange nicht zum satt werden. Gänseburger bestellt und Gänsekeule wurde geliefert. Nach Beanstandung wollte man uns den Burger nachliefern, hätte aber gedauert. So haben wir dann die Gänsekeule genommen, damit diese nicht weggeschmissenen werden muss. Leider war das Gericht auch 10 EUR teurer und wurde auch so abgerechnet. Kein entgegenkommen vom Haus. War ja nicht unsere Schuld und wir hätten ein entgegenkommen erwartet. Mhmm Alles in allem, für ein Abendessen mit 4 Bieren über 50 EUR zu bezahlen ist schon eine Hausnummer. Wir sind bei diesen Preisen und angebotenen Gerichten leider raus und kommen nicht wieder.

Ich war dort zum Frühstücken. Das classic Frühstück mit Rührei war super lecker und vom Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis super. Frische Brötchen, 6 Sorten Aufschnitt, 2 Sorten Käse, Marmelade, Nutella, Saft und Kaffee ohne Limit. Dazu noch Joghurt mit Obst. Mehr als genug. Die Service-Kraft war sehr freundlich aber nie aufdringlich. Die Terrasse lädt zum Verweilen ein. Das Frühstück hat letztlich 3 rasant schnell verflogene Stunden gedauert. Das mache ich auf jeden Fall wieder!!

Essen war sehr lecker und auch der Service hat perfekt funktioniert.

Möglicherweise bin ich sehr einfach glücklich zu machen (nein, bin ich nicht), aber mir hat bei meinem heutigen ersten Besuch einfach ALLES gefallen, vom Ambiente über den sehr freundlichen Service und das Essen (Graved Lachs auf herrlich krossen Süßkartoffelrösti mit Wasabi-Mayonnaise und gemischtem Salat) bis hin zu den sauberen, gepflegten Toiletten, die in meinen Augen die eigentliche Visitenkarte eines Restaurants sind. Da der erste Eindruck der entscheidende ist, komme ich bei nächster Gelegenheit garantiert wieder vorbei.

Danke an den Koch für das leckere Essen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Mir hat alles sehr gut gefallen.

Leckeres Essen nette Bedienung guter Preis

Bedienung super nett, essen wahnsinnig lecker. Meine Tochter hat etwas zum malen und rätseln bekommen, was die Wartezeit verkürzt hat. Alles in allem - wir kommen wieder

Ich war bis jetzt immer nur zum Frühstück dort und kann nur sagen: sehr gute Auswahl, (da es nicht nur Brötchen gibt, sondern auch pancakes, shashuka etc), Preise sind finde ich angemessen und Service ist sehr nett :) Alles, was ich bisher gegessen hatte, war sehr lecker und von den Portionen her auch gut!

Waren heute zum späten Frühstück da, die Mitarbeiterin am Telefon war schon super nett und man hat sich richtig gefreut. Vorort waren alle sehr freundlich und das Essen war sehr lecker! Zusätzlich ist die Preis-Leistung echt top! Wir kommen wieder :)

Leider waren wir enttäuscht von dem Essen und wie anschließend mit der Kritik dazu umgegangen wurde. Es wurde ein völlig durchgebratener Burger serviert der auch nach 3 Versuche zu kauen nicht geniessbarer wurde. Die Antwort der Servicekraft war.... wir erlassen ihne 2 Bier dafür.

Wir kamen kurz vor 19.00 Uhr, die Happy Hour dauerte bis 19.00 Uhr. Uns wurde Zeit gegeben, in die Karte zu schauen; um 19.03 wollten wir bestellen und bekamen die Auskunft, die Kasse hätte sich automatisch umgestellt, Happy Hour Preise wären vorbei. Es kommt nicht auf 1 oder 2 Euro an, aber so fühlten wir uns schlecht behandelt.

Wir waren anlässlich eines Geschäftstermins dort zum Essen. Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, die Getränke hatten die richtige Temperatur und die Spare Ribs waren unglaublich. Kommen gerne wieder!

Verschillende keren lekker gegeten. Eén keer varkenshaasje met gebakken champignons, groentjes en gebakken aardappeltjes. Nog een keer Sundays burger. Ook heb ik er snitsel gegeten met salade en frietjes. Alles over heerlijk.

Hatten etwas von der Mittagskarte. Lecker und frisch zubereitet. Sehr nette Servicekraft, schönes Ambiente. Kann man empfehlen!
