Gets in Rheine

We had dinner at the restaurant. 5 people and 5 different dishes. All five loved their food; it tasted excellent, the portions were generous, and the price was reasonable. I recommend the mixed grill. The staff is friendly and attentive. We felt well looked after and would gladly return.

Highly recommended!!!! The atmosphere is very good, all the staff are very friendly. The rooms are bright and well-equipped. The food in the restaurant is very varied and very good, with something for every taste – especially at Sunday brunch, there's hardly an empty seat. - Everything in the restaurant is beautifully coordinated in terms of style and color, and the lighting is pleasant. The restaurant is a very nice place for many things: for celebrations, for meals with small and large groups, for a fine drink during a spontaneous visit, for a good breakfast after an overnight stay. FYI: I've had breakfast, brunch, and dinner here several times. Unfortunately, you can't check these boxes at the same time below, so I've only checked one box. - The price-performance ratio is absolutely perfect in all areas.

I can't say much about the food; we were there for an event. But it looks delicious and smells fantastic. The place is beautifully situated, and the shows were fantastic. Everything was very well-kept, and the people were very nice.

I really considered writing a bad review, but I'm always grateful when I can read adequate reviews. I can't say which of the dishes here are supposed to be good, but the schnitzel we had here was the worst we've ever eaten and sat in our stomachs like a stone for hours. The two spoonfuls of ready-made gypsy sauce didn't make it any better. Honestly, if you want schnitzel and burgers and the like, you can get it at the chip shops in Rheine for half the price and twice as good. And I should also mention that we're not picky eaters, and after waiting an hour and a half for our food, we were really hungry. (The receipts apparently never made it to the kitchen. At my request, one of the whining and frozen children was given a free drink. Unfortunately, they didn't come up with an apology and offer a round of free drinks as compensation.) Never again for us, unfortunately... Sorry.

Not recommended... a pre-reserved table was suddenly no longer available. After a 30-minute wait, the rude staff tried to clear a table. We left without comment. Their behavior was consistent with what a former employee had unfortunately predicted... the main thing is that all the tables are full... the food is supposedly okay - but we can't comment on that, as it never came to that.

Gets is more of an ambitious snack bar. They also serve currywurst with fries or hamburgers. They also taste quite delicious. The restrooms could use an update.

I was there on July 20, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. I sat down at a free table for four and ordered a non-alcoholic shandy. Then the manager came to the table with the shandy and said I should go to the standing table because she needed it. When I pointed out that there was no "reserved" sign on the table, she said she was the manager there and she would assign the tables. I've been to Gets a few times because it's within easy walking distance, but after such a disrespect to a guest, they won't see me again.

We went to the breakfast buffet at Gets on July 12th. We loved it. The food was great, the atmosphere was nice, and above all, the service was VERY friendly! We can't complain; anyone who can't find something to eat here is complaining at a very high level. We'd love to come back!!! I do have one request for the owner, though: Mr. WC's toilet seats urgently need to be replaced. 5 stars are definitely worth it. Best regards, Manfred

You can actually have a good breakfast here. We've been here a few times. The price/performance ratio is good. Last time, the selection felt a bit smaller than usual.

Conclusion: For us, it wasn't a successful evening – the way criticism was handled was particularly disappointing. 1 star isn't awarded for the food alone, but for the overall package – and unfortunately, it didn't measure up. 1. In our opinion, the service staff weren't able to accept criticism. Feedback wasn't openly accepted, but rather dismissed. It's a shame – a conversation on equal terms would have been nice. 2. Overall, the price-performance ratio was a bit high. 3. The decor is a matter of taste – it didn't appeal to us. The restrooms were clean, but seemed rather dated. 4. The food was solid, but with one flaw: the sirloin steak came rare instead of medium. Some adjustments were made, but for a main course, it should be perfect the second time around. In short: If feedback had been taken as seriously as the order, the experience would have been more complete. So, it remains a one-time visit.

We sat on the terrace. Certainly exciting during busy flight times. Inside, it was too loud and too warm for us, although the decor is stylish and well-designed. The food was mediocre. Perhaps the menu should be shortened. It's extremely bloated. We were almost overwhelmed by the choices. The portions were generous. The service, although inexperienced, was friendly and attentive.

If you own a Toyota, you can't avoid going to Toyota Nitschke. Good service, competent staff and you always receive a friendly and warm welcome.

Cool location at the airport in Rheine. Always nice for a break during a bike tour, for a cold drink, coffee/cake or even for warm food. Small children's playground right next to it with an airplane climbing frame, swing, etc. Maybe at certain times/days the parking lot and the space on the outside terrace are a bit too small, but it's really good there.

We really enjoy being there. In the summer with coffee or a beer outside or in Winter with a cozy meal indoors. Price performance is top! Good parking options. Great backdrop for young and old! Playground for the kids.

Service relatively quick and good. However, the menu is confusing and too expensive. Almost nothing is included in the already very expensive price. Fries without maio, burgers without side dishes, etc. What you would expect at these prices. For vegetarians or vegans, the selection is relatively small, so you mainly have to rely on side dishes. But even here the fried potatoes are regularly served with meat.

This is a great place to switch off in the summer. Eating out with a direct view of the airport. The staff is friendly and helpful. Price performance fits. I like being here!

My wife and I had dinner in the restaurant for the first time this evening. Went to Getz for a coffee during the day. The ambience and service were top. The food was large portions with plenty of side dishes. No wonder you have to make a reservation to get a table. Spontaneously no chance in the evening. It's worth it.

Good price/performance ratio. Have been there several times and have never been disappointed. Clear recommendation!

We were there on a Friday at 6:30 p.m. and it was very loud. Attempts have already been made to muffle the sound. But the food and the friendly service made up for it. We waited about 40 minutes for the food. Ok, because it was very crowded. I find the menu quite varied.

Have a wonderful good evening from me, let's get to the positive things first. The atmosphere with the planes taking off is really nice. Only the windows needed a good scrubbing, they were really very dirty. It is in itself a space experience that is rarely offered otherwise. The service was so semi 'okay', you had to wait a long time for drinks and the question as to whether everything was OK unfortunately came at the wrong times (when the glass is full, when it's almost empty you have to call). Very unfortunate. We had to wait a very long time for our food. About an hour. Which would have been fine if the store had been packed. So very incomprehensible. With a grill plate for over 22 euros, I actually expect to be very full, which unfortunately I wasn't. The taste was not worthy of being called a restaurant. The meat was very dry. Unfortunately, the fries (steakhouse fries) were nothing special and very, very little. Salad wasn't available without an extra order for the money - you could have saved yourself a bit of grilled vegetables (a tablespoon full). You shouldn't serve a small amount of meat at that price and roast the whole meat through hell twice. The worst thing was that while eating, children screamed loudly in front of the snack machine and neither parents nor waitresses thought to stop it. You don't feel like beating up other people's children, especially when the food arrives. Feel free to look at my pictures. You can do a lot better, this is just a nice food for thought.

We were there today and it wasn't great. We were able to order drinks after 20 minutes and after an hour of waiting the food arrived. The food was very tasty, you couldn't complain about it. Ambience was nice. However, we thought we were on the playground. There were children screaming and fighting. The parents? Were not in sight. We thought you could have a nice and relaxed meal there. But you had the feeling you were really on the playground. Very unfortunate..

Ideal destination whether summer or winter Friendly service, good value for money and the view of the small airport is simply great. A special mention should be made of the nice boss, who always remains friendly even with special requests.

I'm disappointed I arrived at Gets by bike around 5:30 p.m. and marked all the empty tables in the outdoor area reserved and that was 80 percent. I then sat down in the lounge area. After 30 minutes still no service showed up. A single person is probably not worth the effort Although I have often been a guest there and also had celebrations there They were all good too But I find something like this very sad. It's a shame I probably won't go there again

I found a modern and very nicely decorated restaurant with a very large outdoor area and a large playground for children. A small menu with delicious dishes rounded off my visit. The restaurant is located directly at Rheine airfield and it's fun to watch the small aircraft take off and land. The food was delicious and the portions were really big. I was served by very nice service staff and felt comfortable I would love to come back and can really recommend Gets.

Celebrating your birthday with you was just great. The service around it was really world class. Everyone was super friendly, everyone was served very well and everyone was very friendly, even the breakfast after sleeping in your rooms was great, there was really EVERYTHING included at breakfast. I can only recommend it and would repeat it at any time. Thank you for the evening and the lovely morning.

Delicious breakfast, very inexpensive, coffee, tea and cocoa included in the buffet price. Service staff are always in a good mood and like to joke around. You feel welcome here as a guest. It might have to be said that the restaurant is rather inconspicuous from the outside, but the inside is excellent.

Hello, were for a thank you. Breakfast from a volunteer association there and it was great, the buffet was very rich. Something was always brought in, bowls or plates were empty.

The ambience and service is really nice. However, we didn't really like the menu. We thought it was typical chip shop food ;-) It's hard to get a table without a reservation. When we were there it was really full and there was still 1 table free :-) After we sat down and looked at the cards, we left again. The employee was perplexed at first, but responded very nicely.

Good food and drink, friendly service and great service. And a great New Year's Eve party. Always worth a visit.

Es ist ein kleines aber feines Ambiente, hat nur 8 Zimmer angeschlossen Restaurant aber schaut sehr gemütlich aus. Da leider eine geschlossene Gesellschaft war muss ich ganz ehrlich sagen das Personal war sehr, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit 👍👍 dann ein Lob an die Küche, denn das was ihr da gezaubert habt top 🫶 das essen war sehr lecker genauso wie der Nachtisch 👍 ich danke euch für die nette Gastfreundschaft, bleibt so wie ihr seid Danke!!

Heute mit 9 Personen frühstücken gewesen. Lecker, reichhaltig und wohl gefühlt

Hier hatten wir uns spontan für einen Kurztrip einquartiert. Am Empfang wurden wir sehr herzlich begrüßt und auf unser Zimmer begleitet. Alles ist sehr sauber und aufgeräumt und man sieht, hier wird alles tiptop in Ordnung gehalten. Abends besuchten wir das Restaurant und waren erstaunt wie gut besucht das Lokal war. Auch hier ist das Personal super freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend ohne aufdringlich zu wirken. Das Lokal ist sehr schön eingerichtet und so schmeckte uns unser Essen nochmal so gut. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und werden gerne hier wieder vorbei schauen wenn wir mal wieder in der Gegend sind. Das Gets ist wirklich uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen. Vielen Dank für die tolle Bewirtung.

2023: fünf Sterne Interessanter Weise bin ich nach 5 Jahren wieder hier gewesen. Habe wieder Surf and Turf bestellt. Diesmal war es sehr viel besser. Steak war super, bissl zu wenig Beilage, aber OK. Meine Frau und ich waren überrascht, wieviel los war innerhalb der Woche. Es war bissl laut im Raum, haben es aber im Endeffekt positiv gesehen. So konnte man frei reden, niemand kann uns hören. 😀 Meine Frau bestellte Spare Rips. Die waren toll. Eine echte Empfehlung. Ganz besonders möchte ich die netten und aufmerksamen Damen der Bedienung loben. Wirklich tollen Job gemacht. Insgesamt ein wirklich toller Abend. 5 Sterne, die voll verdient sind! 2018: drei Sterne Freundliche und sympatische Bedienungen. Essen war trotz vieler Gäste schnell da. Man kann auf einer schön angelegten Terasse sitzen mit Blick auf die Landebahn. Hatte mir Surf and Turf bestellt. Steak mit Garnelen und Bratkartoffeln. Das Steak musste ordentlich nachgewürzt werden und es gab nur eine handvoll Bratkartoffeln. Salz und Pfeffer stand nicht auf dem Tisch. Die Bedienung vergaß mich nach Nachfrage danach, also selbst besorgt. Es gibt 3 Sterne, da das Essen eher mau war. Alles andere passte aber. Bin gespannt auf das nächste Mal.

Wir waren heute auf einem 70. Geburtstag im Gets eingeladen und können eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung aussprechen. Das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt, sowohl Hauptspeisen, Beilagen, Nachtisch sowie auch der Kuchen. Das Personal war ebenfalls top, absolut freundlich und sympathisch und immer sehr aufmerksam.

Top Essen. Super Service. Das Essen ist hervorragend. Die Preise sind auch in Ordnung.

Gehen öfter mal dort hin, weil die Karte und der Service einfach super ist. Genauso gut ist natürlich das Essen ☺️

Das Essen war sehr lecker und sehr freundlich Bedienung. Es war nur sehr laut. Man konnte sich nicht gut unterhalten. Aber es war wohl so laut weil mehrere größere Gruppen da waren.

Essen mega lecker...Personal sehr nett...wir waren an 2 Tagen in einer Woche da.. ein dickes Minus für die Wartezeit bis man sein Essen bekommt.. 1,5 Stunden...an beiden Tagen.. sehr sehr ärgerlich

Nette Bedienung und ein Super xxl Burger

Great place to dine. All you can eat spare ribs every Thursday for a good price. Very tasty, very well cooked, good seasoning with chunky crunchy chips, side salad and a few sauces and dips. Very friendly staff, a free expresso after your ribs meal. Fully recommended to meat and vegen eaters. Nice atmosphere in or out.

Haben über eine Stunde aufs Essen gewartet ( wir haben uns eher satt getrunken ) , das Rumpsteak war tot gebraten, sowie das Fleisch vom Grillteller. Das Gyros war top. Drinnen war es extrem laut man konnte sein eigenes Wort nicht verstehen. Bedienung freundlich. Werden nicht noch mal wieder kommen.
