Hervorragendes Essen – sehr freundliches Personal

Kleines, aber sehr schönes und atmosphärisches Restaurant mit äußerst aufmerksamem Service. Das Essen ist von hoher Qualität, ansprechend präsentiert und sehr lecker. Wir hatten 2 Vorspeisen ( Wakamesalat und Spinat mit Sesam), Sumi Roll, Nigiri Platte, Entenbrust und gebackenes Hähnchen mit japanischer Remoulade. Alles war derart fein abgeschmeckt, die Ente zart wie Butter, das Hähnchen saftig und die Nigiri ein Traum. Wir hatten einen rundum gelungenen Abend.

Ich war letzten Samstag zum ersten Mal dort. Ein absolut tolles Erlebnis mit erstklassigem Fisch. Angenehme Atmosphäre. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Schönes Restaurant mit leckeren japanischen Gerichten. Hatte Gyoza, Ribeye Tepanyaki und Yakitori. Alles sehr lecker. Besonders war wieder die kleine aber feine Auswahl an Sake (natürlich von UENO GOURMET aus Kronberg) und die tolle Weinauswahl. Wie immer sehr freundliches Personal, leider nur auf Englisch für längere Gespräche bereit. Haben aber sehr gut beraten.

Tolle authentische japanische Küche!

Bestellt: Roastbeef- und Thunfischröllchen (Mini 6) Ich bestellte am Wochenende abends Essen zum Mitnehmen und mir wurde gesagt, dass ich etwa 50 Minuten warten müsse. Deshalb wartete ich im Restaurant. Das Essen war kalt und wurde nicht warmgehalten. Während ich wartete, sah ich, wie Kunden, die später kamen, zuerst bedient wurden. Ich wunderte mich, warum es so lange dauerte. (Ich frage mich das immer noch.) Das Personal war freundlich und das Essen schmeckte ganz gut, aber 50 Minuten Wartezeit lohnen sich nicht.

Wir hatten einen wirklich tollen Abend bei sumi. Der Service war von Anfang bis Ende unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich. Das Essen war hervorragend, alles frisch, wunderschön angerichtet und geschmacklich einfach top. Besonders das Sushi hat uns begeistert, ebenso die Drinks. Auch das Ambiente war sehr angenehm und modern, man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Insgesamt ein rundum gelungenes Erlebnis, wir kommen definitiv wieder und können das Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen!

Da es etwas außerhalb des Stadtzentrums liegt, kann man hier japanisches Essen zu günstigeren Preisen genießen als in der Stadt. Besonders die Mittagsmenüs bieten ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Absolut empfehlenswert. Tolles Sushi, toller Service, tolles Ambiente und auch preiswert. Nur für die Parkplatzsuche etwas Zeit einplanen 😁 Wir kommen wieder.

Fantastisch! Die Sashimi-„Omakase“-Platte war einfach umwerfend. So frisch, so geschmackvoll! Das beste Sushi, das ich je außerhalb Japans gegessen habe, und das zu einem vernünftigen Preis. Auch der Service und das Ambiente waren sehr angenehm. Zum Abschluss gab es Vanilleeis, das mit etwas Kaffee wunderbar garniert war.

Ich hatte ein fantastisches Erlebnis im japanischen Restaurant Sumi in Düsseldorf. Der Service war hervorragend – freundlich und aufmerksam, und wir fühlten uns vom ersten Moment an sehr willkommen. Das Essen war durchweg köstlich, aber das absolute Highlight war für mich das Chicken Nanban. Es war perfekt zubereitet, außen knusprig, innen saftig, und die Sauce war einfach perfekt. Wunderbares Sushi im Viertel Little Tokyo in Düsseldorf.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Abend im Sumi in Düsseldorf. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr schön und angenehm – man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die super freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung, die den Abend perfekt abgerundet hat. Der Thunfisch hatte eine wirklich einzigartige Qualität und war geschmacklich herausragend. Auch die anderen Gerichte hatten eine super Qualität. Dazu gab es ein leckeres, authentisches Bier vom Fass, das hervorragend zum Essen gepasst hat. Vielen Dank für den tollen Service und das großartige Essen – wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Die MitarbeiterInnen waren super freundlich und sehr aufmerksam! Das Essen wurde schnell zubereitet und war lecker. Die Auswahl übersichtlich, aber für jeden etwas dabei. Das Restaurant ist etwas laut, evtl. wäre es sinnvoll über Akkustikpanäle o.ä. nachzudenken. Wir würden wiederkommen!😊

Ich hatte in diesem Restaurant für ein Geburtstagsessen reserviert und sogar eine Nachricht auf Japanisch hinterlassen, in der ich um besondere Aufmerksamkeit bat, da es sich um ein Geburtstagsessen handelte, obwohl ich selbst nicht Japanerin bin. Im Nachhinein fragte ich mich jedoch, warum ich überhaupt reserviert hatte, da nichts besonders organisiert wirkte. Ich hatte nicht den Eindruck, dass dem Anlass besonderer Service oder Aufmerksamkeit gewidmet wurde. Das Sashimi und Nigiri waren frisch, und das gesamte Essen war köstlich. Der Service hingegen war für ein gehobenes Restaurant völlig unzureichend.

Vorab: Die Qualität des Essens ist wirklich überragend, alles, was wir bisher von der Karte probiert haben, schmeckt wirklich fabelhaft. Allerdings lässt der Service extrem zu Wünschen übrig, was leider dem Gesamteindruck der Lokalität schadet und das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis negativ beeinflusst. Nachdem wir platziert wurden und die Getränke bekamen, dauerte es ca. 30 min, bis wir unsere Essensbestellung aufgeben konnten. Gäste, die nach uns kamen, wurden deutlich schneller bedient. Während des Essens kommt kein Kellner vorbei, der fragt, ob es schmeckt / man noch Wünsche habe / man ggf. bei einem ausgetrunkenen Getränk noch ein neues haben möchte. Dies führte irgendwann dazu, dass man nur nach aktivem Blickkontakt und mit einer Portion Eigeninitiative bedient wird. Man fühlt sich als Gast nicht wertgeschätzt. In einem All-you-can-eat Diner würde man solch eine Servicequalität in Kauf nehmen, nicht jedoch in einem Restaurant der gehobenen Klasse. Wir waren schon öfters bei sumi. essen und leider bestätigte sich der Gesamteindruck immer wieder.

Es war ein wahrer Genuss, ihre Speisen zu probieren. Die Gerichte waren hervorragend zubereitet. Sehr empfehlenswert für Liebhaber dieser Küche.

Das Essen ist zwar etwas teurer, aber die Qualität ist dafür hervorragend! Alle Gerichte, die wir bestellt haben, waren köstlich, besonders das Nigiri und Sashimi waren unglaublich gut. Der Fisch zerging förmlich auf der Zunge. Auch der Service war exzellent – ​​die Kellner und Kellnerinnen waren freundlich und aufmerksam. Einziger kleiner Nachteil: Es war etwas laut, aber das hat die Unterhaltung kaum beeinträchtigt. Man könnte argumentieren, dass dies von den anderen Gästen abhängt, und ein vollbesetztes Restaurant zeigt sicherlich auch, dass viele Menschen hier gerne essen gehen.

Das beste japanische Restaurant, das ich je in Düsseldorf besucht habe… Köstliches und authentisches Sushi in vielen Variationen! Wenn Sie asiatische Küche lieben, sind Sie hier genau richtig! Ich kann es uneingeschränkt empfehlen!

You can enjoy Japanese draft beer and Japanese food. They have everything from small plates like a Japanese izakaya to set meals, so it's very convenient. The restaurant is split evenly between Japanese and non-Japanese customers, and has a stylish atmosphere.

Nice ambiance and fresh food, but unfortunately, the service ruined the good impression. One waitress was unfriendly and impatient, and an unserved salad was still charged. It's a shame, because the food would have been really good otherwise.

I visited the Sumi restaurant in Düsseldorf again and was not disappointed this time either. Each time, I am impressed anew by the culinary artistry and high quality that this establishment embodies. The professionalism of the entire team, the personal presence of the owner, and the stylish and intimate ambience create an experience worthy of a five-star restaurant. For guests from Düsseldorf as well as visitors from outside, Sumi is a true insider tip—a culinary treasure of this city. In my opinion, it is one of the best Japanese restaurants in Düsseldorf. An unreserved recommendation.

We had a pleasant evening. The food was fine, but not exceptional. The staff was friendly, but very rushed. The atmosphere was also okay, but nothing to write home about. Fine.

This restaurant is one of those rare places where you wonder if you can fit a little more in your stomach even though you're already full. Super, super delicious! The prices are a bit high, but in my opinion, it's good value for money.

My Japanese friend recommended this restaurant to me because it's very good and not as crowded and hyped as Little Tokyo. After my trip to Japan, I can completely understand the recommendation. Very authentic, very tasty, super friendly staff. So far, I've only been here for lunch, and I've always been able to get a seat.

The relatively expensive seaweed salad consisted of 70% ordinary lettuce with very little seaweed on top, which is a disgrace. The sushi was okay, but nothing special; I wasn't convinced by the quality.

We had a very nice experience there. The tempura shrimp were the best we've ever eaten. Unfortunately, this place doesn't accept Amex as a payment method, which we consider a major disadvantage and a reason not to visit this place again. Our long time favorite sushi restaurant in Düsseldorf apparently has change the chef and/or the kitchen staff. The food quality and taste has changed over night from “delicious” to “below “average”. The sushi 🍣 are way smaller and taste stall. Our mixed tempura was missing the salmon pieces and the small corn 🌽. It’s sad to see a star falling - especially when prices are rising. Hopefully Sumi Restaurant will recover, soon. From our end we’ll give them a break for a while.

The food is good. Unfortunately, due to the multiple occupancy of the tables, it is more like a check-in. You don't feel welcome here. In addition, the food doesn't even all come to the table together. It will be difficult to spend a nice and relaxing evening there!

Today I went to this wonderful Japanese restaurant with my boyfriend. There we experienced excellent service from Ryota and were very satisfied with the delicious food. highly recommended if you are looking for a cozy place for dinner in the city center

My favorite sushi restaurant! Super friendly and attentive staff, stylish decor, and superb quality! The Vulcano Roll is especially recommended! But the classic maki and nigiri are also impressive! The appetizers are also delicious. I wish the quality remained the same and the homemade ginger ale returned to the menu. The only small downside is that it's unfortunately very difficult to find parking. But still, a clear 10/10

Wonderfully place to eat sushi ,very fresh fish,classic rolls in short a great experience. Not a cheap place but worth the price. Only complain is the lack of a pot green thea, I only got one glass, I drink more than that. Don't let this stop you, try this place.

We always enjoy coming here, especially in summer with the outdoor terrace. An urban, funny and authentic location. Nice staff, very friendly and relaxed. The food is very good and with a few specialties something different. Highly recommended! Be sure to reserve!

You can only make a reservation by phone, so I did this a month in advance. When we arrived my name wasn't on the list, but I explained to the waitress that I had called. After quite a long wait, we were able to temporarily sit at a table and were then moved (food not yet there). As compensation, the two of us were offered a free drink (very generous). So you solved the problem well, even if communication was difficult because the waitress didn't speak German or English well. In my opinion, this shows the authenticity of the Japanese restaurant. The food was great. The tempura was warm and crispy, the salmon buttery and flavorful and the tuna nigiri - hallelujah. Great fish quality, super soft, even if the rice is a bit hard. The matcha ice cream is simply perfect in terms of taste. The atmosphere was also pleasant, although we sat at a table pushed into the corner, which offered us privacy.

We ate our way across the map. The range of sushi fluctuated from world class (nigiris) to Lidl sushi and the rice could have used a little more stickiness. The makis could have been fuller and the price was very high The starters were good, but not outstanding; the edamame, for example, could have been... B. Fue una experiencia interesante para nosotros. Y muy sabroso y muy fresco. Recuerde reservar la mesa! Recomiendo encarecidamente Sumi. Y ten en cuenta que la cocina japonesa es mucho más rica que el sushi.

We were extremely disappointed with Sumi. When looking for an authentic Japanese, I unfortunately have to say that sumi is well below expectations and comes up significantly short when compared to nagomi, yabase or hyuga. The prices are high, the service speaks Japanese, the audience and clients are predominantly German/non-Asian. The karaage were crispy, that was delicious, would have liked it with kewpie mayo. The other chicken was too soaked. Sushi Rice was too hard. In principle I mark al dente, but here it was too grainy and too pressed and hard. Worked a lot with sauce but overall it was just ok to well. The quality of the fish was also not as high as originally expected in the pictures. Long waiting times and overpriced sushi, which we unfortunately rate with a maximum of 2 stars.

I never thought I would be able to eat fatty tuna in Germany, and it was so delicious😊 He also thought it was very delicious. This is also a restaurant that I would like to go to if I ever come to Düsseldorf 😊✨

For lovers of Japanese cuisine, Sumi is a real insider tip and a place that simply cannot be missed.

So far the best sushi quality I have experienced in Düsseldorf. Lovingly decorated and the ambience stands out compared to other restaurants where guests are otherwise seated very closely. Here, however, it is very cozy with a pleasant atmosphere.

Particularly good sushi, excellent tempura and delicious meat dishes, homemade ginger ale and Kirin on tap in iced glasses. Reservation makes sense.

The food takes a long time to arrive and the portions are quite small. Something for in between - but the price is too high for that.
