Sultan Palast Lübeck in Lübeck

We ordered two mixed grill plates and the meatballs (köfte) were rubbery and the chicken and beef skewers were burnt and dry. The only thing that was hot were the fries. Salads and starters were just good. Another order was kebab casserole and it was so salty we couldn't get two forks. So many mistakes could be made with a 2 course meal at a table for 4 and we were a customer traveling hungry from 300km away. When I showed it to the waiter, he apologized and left and the boss came. And what he told us was that he had sold a lot of these plates today and had not received any complaints... and he handled it very negatively, even though he saw the burning chicken and the salty food. We asked him to at least bring doner kebab because we hadn't finished the food on the table. it tasted good. Of course we paid for the food we didn't eat and received no apology. As the owner of a restaurant with a capacity of 100 people, I would not serve this food to the customer, and even if I did, I would apologize and make amends.

The doner kebab is delicious, the employees are very nice people, we chatted a lot since we are from Turkey. May God grant us a lot of profit.

What did you do with Sultan Palace!!! I've always eaten there for more than 10 years. The kebab was really tasty, even homemade food and for a few months it's just been rubbish..!!! Never again!!!

I really enjoyed eating there, but I haven't enjoyed it there for a long time and it has become very expensive. It feels like it's getting more expensive every few months. I had something to take away, xxl kebab with veal but I couldn't finish it, the meat was just too fatty and the meat tasted different than before, so for me it was all over for now :(

We have enjoyed going there for years and often get something to take away. This time we got two Turkish pizzas. I had eaten there many times before, but this time it was so inedible. That I threw that away.

The menus are great. As a native of Urfa, I loved it and recommend it to everyone.

We've been going there for decades, it's always been just great, in the last 3 months everything has gone downhill, food (doner kebab meat was endlessly greasy, my whole hands were full of oil), service (getting the wrong food). Since the old owner is no longer there, it's really been a downward spiral. I hope it gets better again, I'll give the Sultan Palace another chance.

€8.30 for a kebab box is extremely expensive and outrageous! Even the kebab, which has a lot more in it, is cheaper at €7.90! Do you have to understand that??? And in terms of taste, well. Meat is not crispy but comes from the warming container even though the meat skewer is rotating next to it. Why? Employees chewing gum and preparing food based on matcho. Wasn't very inviting. There are better kebab shops. We won't go back here!

No longer recommended! Staff is incompetent, repeatedly given wrong orders. The portions are now really meager, but the price is way too expensive. We were definitely there for the last time. It's a shame that the old boss is no longer there, it used to be very good.

We always went there, everything was ok, the people were very nice and nice, but last time an employee was unfriendly, I don't understand why she did that. Other employees apologized and she didn't react. That was really stupid Treatment.we will not visit the restaurant again

My experience was quite unpleasant. They took advantage of my trust and overcharged me for a soda that was included on the menu (where a photo of a soda was visible). I complained to them, and incredibly they instantly forgot how to speak English. It's a shame that they take advantage of tourism in this way.

I visited twice while in Lübeck. The friends I thought were Afghans on my first visit took very good care of me. We were 5 people. 5 bread and 2 appetizer plates were brought to the table. But when I went the next day, a Turkish waiter took care of me. But his attitude and style were disturbing. Frankly, we, as a family, were not satisfied with the service. I don't know why. But I was sorry that it spoiled the impression I had on the first evening. Iskender was very oily and had too much tomato paste. We couldn't finish half of the plate. We went again as 5 people, but only one appetizer plate and one bread came to the table. Also, his eyes were always on the table, as if saying get up and go as soon as possible. 2. I regretted my visit and wished I had gone to another place.

I went often, but it was a hassle to find photos. I don’t think there are any Koreans who don’t know this place, but if you haven’t been there, just give it a try. Lübeck's specialty is the head-sized bread that is so sticky that it shines on each and every one of them. I always feed my friends when they come from other areas, but I've never seen them say it's not tasty x I think you'll be very full even if you eat half a serving of that (if you're going to eat it right away, ask for a half serving), and it's quite difficult to eat the whole thing (I'm a bit weak). It's delicious even if it cools down. Since it's Dönerjung, I go to places that are said to be delicious when I go to other areas, and they are among the top two in my life. (It's on the same level as Düsseldöner's, which I wrote a review about before, but it's just the basics, and Düssel wins by a landslide.) But Haus des Döner is a chain. What's different from other restaurants is that they add arugula and it's fragrant. When I go back to Korea, when I'm pregnant, I really, really want to eat sultan durim (I'm single). I always ask for half and half because I can't choose the meat. I want to eat mango ice cream with my soulmate after saying sehr nett.

Highly recommended! I have been coming to the Sultan Palace regularly for years and always enjoy being there! The food is of good quality and has a relatively good price. The location in Lübeck city center is of course also very good.

I ordered a kebab plate. A fairly large portion. You'll definitely get full from the kebab plate. Salad is delicious and the meat is tender and tasty. You can't go wrong with Sultan Palast Lübeck.

Super delicious food, requests are catered for. Even without a reservation we got a table on Saturday evening. The waiter is super friendly and funny. Price-performance ratio is also right! All in all a successful evening :)

There are delicious doner kebabs here! Also very suitable for vegetarians thanks to options such as falafel etc. With the Falafel Dürüm, I recommend adding feta if you like it. That changes the world.

We have been regular customers here for over 20 years. The food and service we are at the best level!!! The employees are always super friendly and funny, and all special requests are fulfilled. Card payment is also possible, which is a rarity for kebab shop Au h in 2024 :-)

After I have been a customer for years and it has always been my go-to kebab, I unfortunately have to slowly revise my rating. I don't know whether people rest on their good reputation, but unfortunately the quality is declining. The meat is often cold because too much is cut and kept warm. This makes it cold and mushy. The vegetables are still fresh, only the cut is surprising, with tomato slices almost as thick as a finger. The sauces also taste somehow... boring. You don't keep up with the times or try to taste the good old mayo-ketchup-fries alman. The price keeps rising, 8 for kebab, 9 for dürüm. That's just a shame... I notice that 2-3 years ago I was there several times a week, but now I was there once a month at most, and I'm usually annoyed afterwards. Not because the kebab is bad... Just because it was just so much better.

I went there spontaneously because I was nearby (5km) and saw on YouTube that this restaurant was supposed to be very good. I ate vegetarian/vegan and I have to say it was awesome! Delicious hot meal, rice with bulgur and a salad, with a very tasty dressing and extra spicy sauce. Add some tea and I was completely full. Unfortunately I have to deduct a point from the ambience because the entrance is a bit narrow when there are a lot of people there. It's a shame it's not near me, otherwise I would stop by more often. :-)

Wrong meat, wrong salad, little sauce, dry flatbread. Wasn't the result I usually know from Sultan. After the complaint there was a lot of complaining that everything was supposedly correct. I sought conversation and left with a very bad feeling.

For me personally, it has been the best minced meat kebab in all of Lübeck for years. The bread is nice and pleasantly crispy and soft and not the standard Pythagorean bread. The meat is soft and very, very pleasantly seasoned. The koffta and the grill plate are also highly recommended!

Personal war nicht wirklich gut, aber definitiv nicht schlecht gelaunt. Der XXL-Döner ist wirklich groß, so etwas habe ich bisher nicht serviert bekommen. Gemüse für den Döner gab es genug, Brot war knusprig/Weich aber leicht trocken. Der Innenbereich war sehr komprimiert, ein längerer Schmaler Gang mit (drei?) Tischen. Oben war es ein wenig kühl. WC‘s sind vorhanden und wirken nicht wirklich gepflegt (voller Mülleimer und nasser Boden)

Da ist so ein kleinerer Herr mit Glatze und Bart so einen unfreundlichen Menschen habe ich lange nicht mehr gesehen...er ist aber nur zur türkisch sprechenden Kunden unfreundlich..habe es anschließenden beobachtet wie freundlich er zu einer Dame wahr die nur deutsch sprach...man muß zu jedem Kunden freundlich sein..und das döner Fleisch holt er aus dem Wärme behälter raus zum kotzen

Absolut leckerer Dürüm in einem tollen Brotteig. Alle Zutaten schmecken sehr hochwertig und frisch. Ambiente lässt etwas zu wünschen übrig im vorderen Teil aber im hinteren Teil gibt es eine gemütliche Ecke. Freundliche Bedienung.

Ein traditioneller und einer der besten Dönerläden / türkischen Restaurants in HL. Guter Döner, besonders empfehle ich die „Sultan Platte“ und die gemischte Grillplatte. Pommes ebenfalls sehr knusprig und frisch. Preise branchenüblich.

Super Döner! Besonders hervorzuheben ist fast alles: Das Fleisch, die Falafel, das Brot und auch die Saucen. Der Salat wirkt frisch. Man wird hier auch wirklich satt für einen fairen Preis. Das Ambiente finde ich im Innenbereich etwas ungemütlich, im Außenbereich aber Top. ACHTUNG: Kartenzahlung geht erst ab 15€

War auf der Durchreise Schweden nach Schweiz. Nach dem ich mit der Fähre angekommen bin in Travemünde wollten wir als Familie kurz uns sättigen bevor wir weiterfahren. Muss es ehrlich sagen nach langer Zeit habe ich wieder einmal einen richtig guten und feinen Döner gegessen. Der scharfe Pulver (Pullbiber) war das scharf und gut. Wenn Ihr dort seit geht zu ihm und lasst es euch schmecken. Kann nur sagen das hat sich gelohnt. Danke für die Bedienung und das Essen.

Wir haben im Restaurant gegessen und wurden sehr freundlich bedient. Es war einiges los, was der Qualität des Essens aber keinen Abbruch getan hat. Ich hatte einen Käse-Döner (Zutaten und Soße nach eigenem Wunsch zusammengestellt) und meine drei Freundinnen hatten einen Käse-Fleisch-Döner und zwei Fleisch-Döner. Es war superlecker!!! Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Leider wohnen wir zu weit weg, um regelmäßig im Sultan Palast essen zu gehen.

Ich habe vor kurzem Sultan Döner besucht und kann mit Freude sagen, dass es ein fantastischer Dönerladen ist. Die gemütliche Sitzecke macht den Besuch besonders angenehm. Das Ambiente ist einladend, und man kann sich in Ruhe hinsetzen, um den köstlichen Döner zu genießen. Die Qualität des Döners bei Sultan Döner ist hervorragend. Die Fleischfüllung ist saftig und perfekt gewürzt, das Gemüse frisch und knackig, und die Soßen sind einfach köstlich. Die Portionen sind großzügig bemessen, und man bekommt definitiv viel für sein Geld. Das Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam, was den Gesamteindruck noch besser macht. Wenn Sie nach einem großartigen Ort suchen, um einen leckeren Döner zu genießen und sich dabei wohlzufühlen, ist Sultan Döner definitiv die richtige Wahl. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.
