Mem U Zin in Lübeck

We saw a very great Tiktok about this restaurant and came from Kiel especially for this. We had to wait a short time (15-20 minutes) until we got a table, which was acceptable and understandable since the restaurant was really well occupied. After we finally sat down, we ordered a grill platter (around €50) for 2 p. and 2 ayrans (around €10). It took a while before we could even order, but we were able to understand that and didn't think it was that bad. The ayrans came quite quickly and were tasty, but neither the bread with the ezmes nor our actual order came to the table quickly. The Ezmes arrived after 45 minutes and the actual order only came after over 60 (!!) minutes. Also, after about 50 minutes, the waitress asked if we would like something else instead of the lamb chop, as this meat was out. According to the reviews, this is probably their scam... The entire team seemed chaotic and overwhelmed. In the kitchen, their grill was filmed several times with flashlight. Instead of making so much of a show, it would be better to take care of the guests. :( If we had known that the meal would take sooo long & the lamb couldn't be served, we wouldn't have taken more than an hour's drive. Unfortunately, the meal itself wasn't recommended either. But I can say one positive thing, it can prepare the food really well, see video.

We were guests at Mem U Zin this evening as part of our Christmas market weekend in Lübeck. Luckily we had reserved in advance. The food and service were absolutely top notch. You feel welcome here. We had the grill plate which was absolutely amazing. So if you're looking for a good restaurant in Lübeck, you can't miss Mem U Zin. A big fat thumbs up.👍👍👍

I was at this Turkish restaurant recently and I'm sorry to say my visit was a disappointment. We waited over an hour for our food – almost 1.5 hours in total! There was no apology or explanation for the long wait. The staff seemed completely overwhelmed and didn't take our orders properly. We had to keep asking whether our order had even been recorded. In addition, the tables were not cleaned properly. The table we sat at was still dirty from the guests in front of us. When we pointed this out, nothing happened for a long time and the table remained untidy. This made the entire experience even more unpleasant. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant. The service was poor, the wait was far too long, and basic cleanliness was lacking. I probably won't eat here again

For me only 3 stars. I visited twice and both times I ordered the grill plate, both times the meat from the menu/description was NOT on it. I also think that people are being ripped off a bit, especially given the high prices. During the first visit it was pointed out that the lamb chop was sold out and whether they should give us a little more of other meat. In principle, good from the staff, but they only tell you that after you have ordered the plate and the plate is already being served/prepared. The second time the chop wasn't on it either. Arranging it is great, but I think this method is often used because there is no overview of how much of which meat is on it. To me the platter for 2 looked exactly the same as the platter for 3, except there was a little more garnish 🤔🤔 If the grill plate is ordered for 3, then I expect EVERY type of meat to be on it 3x, including the lamb chop. I would recommend that you take a closer look and perhaps order the plate individually, for each person individually. I think you pay 1 or 2 euros more, but no one can deduct you and you have an overview of the dish and whether everything is on it.

It's not what you think! In the advertising, the pictures supposedly had almost five stars! The food was really bad Lentil soup only tasted like salt and fat! The meat was so hard you couldn't eat it! The rice that came out of the bag was Chinese rice! We didn't get any cutlery until we asked for it several times! There was only a single paper towel for 2 people The waiter sat us down at a table where the ceiling dripped onto the table! We weren't finished with our food yet, A man went on the table to fix something on the ceiling! He tore open a lid from the ceiling and blew a lot of dust onto our food! The waiters are running around like crazy, but no one is able to look properly! I don't recommend it to anyone! It's inedible! The waiters were also very unfriendly! Even didn't want to give up the rest of the money!

Super delicious food, always...

We were in the Memuzin restaurant with a group of 8 and had a wonderful evening! The atmosphere was authentic and took us culturally straight to Turkey, perfect for a special experience. I had the chicken skewers which were excellently seasoned and juicy. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive and quick, both in taking the order and serving it. The food came quickly and was of the best quality. All in all a great restaurant that I can only recommend to everyone. We'd love to come back!

We had a perfect evening Mem U Zin. Even though we didn't make a reservation, we got a great seat without a long wait. The team was super friendly and had top recommendations for us. And now about the food: it was incredibly delicious! Künefe with Maras ice cream at the end - it couldn't be better! We felt completely comfortable and had a really nice evening! When we are back in Lübeck, Mem U Zin will be at the top of our list! Thank you!

I recently visited this branch/restaurant for the first time and was unfortunately disappointed. Before that, I had been to the “döner kebab shop” of the same name on Mühlenstrasse many times. The shop on Mühlenstraße is highly recommended. The restaurant on Holstenstrasse was unfortunately very weak. The service and food were just mediocre

The restaurant was good but the prices are really high.

Delicious inexpensive food, very friendly and nice atmosphere. There were three of us and we were warmly welcomed without an appointment. Our table was inside, with an open window. First of all there was bread on the house with delicious dips. For starters we ordered Ayran, Lahmachun and Pide. This was followed by kofte and a beyti kebab. The food was beautifully prepared, perfectly balanced and very tasty. We'll be back!

A dream! At the beginning I was skeptical - I don't like anything spicy and grilled meat can quickly dry out. But it was perfect! Not only was it well cooked it was also juicy! The three of us ate very well and inexpensively. A starter plate, Lamachun and another vegetarian dish. Delicious, warm flatbread with dips was served before the meal. The entire meal was very fresh, attractively prepared, rich and very tasty.

We discovered this restaurant late in the evening after some of the more traditional places had already closed (9 o’clock!). The waiters were very helpful and friendly. The Kebab was fantastic and the lamp was delicious too! The balloon bread was super, too. We enjoyed it very much.

My wife and I walked in behind a group of 5 adults. They were seated but despite there being quite a few empty couples tables we were left standing at the door and completely ignored. Walked away and found somewhere more welcoming.

Very great restaurant with delicious food. Had a grill plate for two people, Well prepared and good portions for the price. The lamb chops were incomparably tender, juicy and not a bit stubborn. Unfortunately something was missing from the plate at the beginning, but it was quickly given to us and as a small compensation there was tea for everyone.

Everyone who enjoys Turkish music has a nice and really great and capable staff, fantastic people, should take a look at it. The kebab is still bearable in terms of price, not so much above most others. General prices are still in perfect range. And the best thing is even the sauces and the bread is homemade, nothing is just bought, it's real meat, not minced meat, and it's a really good price

I've been there 5 times so far. The food is always super delicious. Unfortunately the service is bad, the waiters are friendly, but you come in and only get the menu a good 10 minutes later even though there is nothing going on in the store. The boys are basically just standing around. Then you already have the food on the table but the cutlery is missing, and the drinks usually only come after the food is already there. Sometimes you don't even get the drinks. Unfortunately it's always been like this when I've been there.

I discovered it by chance and was very pleasantly surprised. Nice, non-intrusive service, nice ambience, good food. My chicken skewer was on point, delicious bulgur salad, side salad, bread and dip at normal prices. Gladly again. The only thing that leaves a strange impression is that you can't pay cashless.

We went there twice once at 3pm on another day around 6pm. The food and service were always very good, but the bread was significantly better on the first visit!

The quality of the food is really good. The meat is tender and not "fatty" like you would normally find in a Turkish restaurant. The grill plate is highly recommended! The last time I ate such a delicious pide was back home. The service is friendly. For us, the visit is a must when we are in Lübeck. (It may be a little more expensive here, but it's more than worth it.)

Hallöchen ☺️ Wir waren zum allerersten Mal dort, soweit war alles super ,man bekommt vorweg brot zum Naschen mit Dip, wegen der Wartezeit zum bestellen essen. So kommen wie aufen Punkt, wir haben essen für 6 Personen bestellt für 139 Euro, da wir gedacht haben, es ist besser,was Leder nicht der Fall war, man zahlt so viel Geld aber dafür ist viel zu wenig Fleisch drauf gewesen 😕😔 wenn es hoch kommt dir gerade einmal 30 Euro der Rest war Salat und Reis oder sowas in der art. Alleine die alle Getränke haben wir mit Trinkgeld 50 Euro ausgeben,es war Nichts besonderes dabei, Cola Bier Wasser und ein Wein . Aber jeder sollte sich natürlich selbst ein Bild darüber machen. Bis bald 👋

Eine nette türkische Perle im Herzen der Altstadt von Lübeck. Mehr durch Zufall landeten wir in diesem gemütlichen kleinen Restaurant und wurden herzlich empfangen. Das Essen wurde frisch zubereitet und war optisch sehr ansprechend. Auch die kleinen Accessoires laden zum verweilen ein, so dass man sich sehr wohl fühlt. Der Service war aufmerksam und freundlich 😊... Preisleistung passt 👍

Sehr zentral gelegen und sehr gut besucht. Der Service ist unglaublich nett. Man ist wirklich um den Gast bemüht. Die Kollegin mit vielen Unverträglichkeiten wurde umfassend beraten und man konnte sich schnell auf ihre Bedürfnisse einstellen. Das Essen kam schnell und gleichzeitig, war sehr schön angerichtet und sehr lecker. Alle waren sehr zufrieden! Der Wein war ebenfalls sehr gut und alle Preise sind absolut angemessen. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert. Sehr gerne wieder!
