StrandStulle in Meppen

We were there at 11 a.m. According to the sign, they were open then. It was completely dark. And that wasn't the first time.

Ordering is a disaster. Before I start, I'm reviewing the online presence only. I've only been there once, briefly, but I ordered and picked it up for others. I've ordered online from this store three times so far. It was delivered twice, and I picked it up once myself. Number of completely correct orders: 0 Something was always forgotten or the wrong topping was added (great for allergy sufferers). The cheese (which you pay extra for) is often forgotten. At least once I received a lukewarm sandwich <- I can live with that, they cool down quickly. Drinks on the menu are listed on the website as 0.4l, but they are 0.33l bottles. Not all ingredients are available online. You have to write in the comments if you want something extra [e.g., Parmesan cheese (okay, it's extra) or corn.] The only positive thing I can say about the store is that the employees are very polite and friendly, and the ingredients taste good (visually fresh). Ordering in person is a lot easier. But you still sometimes have to mention things multiple times. The store looked clean. I won't order anything online from there again. If I'm ever in the area, I'll reconsider going there.

What's striking about the reviews is that one person with several fake accounts, and apparently also with their friends, unfairly gave the Strandstulle a negative review. Regarding the fruit flies: it can't be that this person uses such a one-time incident as a review multiple times to disparage the restaurant. What I also don't understand is that people complain about the food being ready when they ordered it in advance. If you have a problem with your order being ready for pickup in 10 minutes, you should place your order directly at the restaurant. Then you can be sure that everything is freshly prepared. The price for a 30 cm sub is definitely reasonable; at other fast food establishments, you'd easily pay €13 per person per meal. Now for the actual review of Strandstulle: I got a sub of the day today and I'm happy with it. It tasted good and was completely reasonable for €3.99. It actually tasted very good. The employee was very friendly. I have nothing to complain about. Thank you for the opportunity to visit such a great restaurant.

Sub of the day, or sandwich of the day, is definitely worth a try throughout the week. Many thanks to the owner of Strandstulle for continuing the business without the previous name partner. There's nothing to complain about with the sandwiches. There are so many combinations possible that every customer will truly find something they like.

Outrageously expensive. I was there today with my son. The display was almost empty. They scraped together the last bits of toppings. There was very little on our baguettes. I had to pay €24.80 for two 30cm bags. We weren't even full from that meager amount of topping. There was nothing to drink except beer. Never again.

I ordered online last night at 6:15 p.m. I arrived 10 minutes early. The baguette was already ready and waiting for pickup. I don't know how long it had been sitting there. But if I had arrived at the agreed time, it would have been there for at least 15 minutes. Luckily, when I ate the baguette, it was still lukewarm.

I went there yesterday with a friend. The food was delicious and the ingredients all looked fresh. But unfortunately, the entire display was full of fruit flies, and they were flying around the store as well. You had to be really careful not to eat them. The staff didn't make a good impression on me either. Also, the fridge was almost empty of drinks (just iced tea, water, and beer). If the weather hadn't been so bad, we would have canceled our order.

The food tasted good and everything was fresh. But unfortunately everything in Meppen was full of fruit flies. You really had to be careful not to eat them. They flew into your face and were just everywhere We were almost considering leaving again

30 minutes after placing the order we call and say that several items are no longer available and the order will be changed. 30 minutes later another call, everything was over and it could no longer be delivered. I have NEVER experienced anything like this anywhere. How bad are you at calculating? We will never order here again, super rude.

All in all, it's beautifully done there. However, things got worse over time. The selection became less and less and the baguette somehow always ends up cold on the plate. I have no idea if their oven is broken or what's going on. The front door is left open in all weathers... that's really not cool when it's freezing.

Everything at the salad and dressing counter was full of fruit flies. The selection was almost cleared even though the opening hours are until 9 p.m. The filled baguettes were placed so close together on the baking tray that the cheese stuck to the paper of the other baguette and no longer to the actual baguette itself. Not recommended. Would prefer to give 0 stars for the service and ingredients.

Very poor selection of ingredients. Bread not crispy at all, but soggy. No comparison to previous beach restaurants and miles away from Subway. Too bad

Soggy bread, little choice of toppings, the toppings weren't fresh either. The same gloves were used for a veggie baguette as for the meat baguette and the previous sauce was stuck everywhere... it all seemed very unprofessional and listless.

It was very tasty and we were all full. The staff was also very friendly and gave us very good advice. Thank you very much for that 👌

Preferably 0 stars, sorry, but I haven't seen such an incompetent person in a long time. We were just there and really wanted a sandwich, but the desire was long gone and after waiting half an hour. On the grill the oven clearly said "shut down" and the man said it would only take 5 minutes then we got our food after 10 minutes. We still didn't have it and after half an hour the employee came up with the idea to use the replacement oven. So a little tip: good training for the staff is the be-all and end-all And sorry about the taste The meat (had teriyaki sauce) had no sauce on it, we didn't taste anything of it. Half of the ingredients that were on the list weren't there and there was a small blob of sauce on the sandwich itself that had no taste, no, there was also salt and pepper not on that, that would have at least given some taste. So our feedback once and never again.

What I and my family had to experience today is truly horrifying, The store had already been open for an hour And still we had to wait 5 minutes until the oven was ready Let's get to the ordering process: The nice man who served us literally fell asleep while serving us and sometimes didn't really understand what we wanted from him (e.g. what oregano is, let alone salt and pepper), some of the food also looked spoiled (the meat had brown spots ). You were really afraid to ask something because you knew it would end in a complete catastrophe, I'm sorry. The icing on the cake was that the shop was really very dirty There were liquids on the floor and garbage everywhere. A colleague had to be called to make the card payment... Never again !

Eating soup there was very tasty

We ate at Strandstulle today and it was honestly the worst sandwich I've ever eaten. The bread was absolutely dry, there was hardly any sauce and the tomatoes tasted sour. The seller sometimes didn't really understand what you wanted. I've been to Subway or Strandstulle several times, but I've never experienced it as bad as today. Never again!

Tried once, won't happen again. Kind of like a subway, just not as good. Out of 4 breads only 3 available. The falafel didn't deserve the name as dry as they were. Poorly positioned for vegans as there is no labeling and allergens are not even listed for all the toppings. Sandwich wasn't cut.

We were there today and had the beach sandwich of the day. It was very tasty and more than generously topped. The employee was super nice and pointed out offers to us. By the way, the sofa by the window is very comfortable.

Great sandwiches, delicious and generously topped, which even convinced our children. Plus an extremely nice and friendly beach sandwich maker who puts you in a good mood. Absolutely recommended, I will definitely come back.

Geweldig broodje en top personeel

Es war sehr kalt in dem Laden aber die Mitarbeiter waren trotz Sprachbarierre sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend so das man sich wohl gefühlt hat. Sehr kinderfreundlich. Leider ist meine Tochter sehr wählerisch und es gab nichts für sie. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt

First of all, very friendly service, pleasant atmosphere and a warm, homely decor of the premises. Secondly, the food is class, the bun has a really good taste, a large selection of ingredients, everyone will find something for themselves, I recommend it! :)

Lieferung war Top, Essen war auch sehr gut. gerne wieder. Einzige was ich mir wünschen würde ist. das das brot nächstes mal etwas mehr geröstet wird und nicht so "weich" sondern eher cross ist. geschmacklich war es aber dennoch gut, und auch alles sehr frisch.

Hier gibt es belegte Baguettes in verschiedenen Varianten.

Zum ersten Mal ging ich hier hin, super freundliches Gespräch gehabt mit dem Chef. Der Laden ist sehr ähnlich wie sein Konkurrent es wurde nicht wirklich viel verändert im Laden muss aber auch nicht. Die Stulle hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt. Die haben auch einen Lieferservice 👍 geschmackliche Veränderung hab ich jetzt nicht großartig bemerkt. Ich würde wieder kommen👍
