Absolutely fantastic! Top-notch staff, friendly and welcoming, it couldn't be better!

I visited in September, and it was a truly unique experience. The food was beautifully presented, the portions were far too large for the price—I've never seen anything like it! The lake view was indescribably beautiful, and we absolutely must repeat this experience after the current "winter" break. The service was also very friendly and attentive. The unique lakeside terrace, shaped like an old cargo barge, is one of a kind and well worth a visit. The rest of the restaurant also has a special story—a barge built into the wall—simply wow! The oldest and most beautiful ship restaurant in Berlin. Perfect for a spontaneous visit before or after a hike or a stroll in the lovely, tranquil Schmöckwitz!

The dishes were superbly prepared and beautifully presented. I especially enjoyed the fish platter. Highly recommended for anyone who loves good food! Just be prepared to wait a little.

Unfortunately, the service overshadows everything good about this restaurant. And when reading the reviews, this issue is a recurring one.

I can't rate the food because I left the restaurant before I could try it. Such unfriendly treatment by the staff spoiled my enjoyment of a visit. As a customer, I shouldn't have to accept that. When I arrived, unfortunately, there were no seats available directly by the water with a view of the lake. So I chose a seat in the middle of the restaurant. It took about 10 minutes, during which nothing happened except for me waiting. Although the young man serving several times served other guests who had arrived before me, it apparently didn't occur to him to give me the menu in between so I could at least choose. Only when I said on his third appearance that I wanted the menu did he give it to me. I noticed that a table with a direct view of the lake had become available. So I decided to change seats. Another waitress, who was cashing at that table, refused to let me change seats. He said there were other guests waiting there. When I replied that, as a guest who had already ordered, I had priority, I was met with "You have a seat." Yes, I had chosen a seat in the middle out of necessity instead of leaving. The other, newer guests had the opportunity to get that table. Because of this unfriendly statement, both in meaning and in wording, I went to the person in charge to speak with the manager. There, I met the young man again and said I wanted to speak to the manager. He asked what I wanted from him, what I didn't want to discuss with him at that level anymore. I repeated my request. Even more unfriendly, he replied that he first wanted to know what I wanted to discuss with his supervisor. I replied that I considered such treatment of a customer inappropriate. He then became even more unfriendly and replied that I would see how much there was to do and that he would prefer to do something else on a (sunny) Wednesday. I then left the restaurant and, in my opinion, heard the sentence that I shouldn't tell anyone about it. I responded by saying that I certainly would, and that since I do business internationally, this wouldn't reflect well on this restaurant's understanding of the relationship between service provider and customer. And that's exactly what it's about! It's not about my ego. It's about the framework by which a society defines itself. If you violate these agreements, a service provider not only loses the customers through whom they generate their services and income, but overall, such disrespectful behavior damages the social order. The general consensus forms the boundaries that create the recognizable framework. If you violate this order, you destroy the basis of coexistence...

First time here, I really enjoyed it. It overlooks the Dahme River and Lake Seddin. The food was good and the service very friendly.

The location is nice. Unfortunately, the service isn't great; it felt like only temporary staff. The waitress came after about 20 minutes and said she could only take drinks. We ordered two beers, but only one was served. Then another waitress came and had to leave because her pen didn't write. The food was okay, nothing special. The waitresses were wearing sweatpants and all seemed a bit unkempt. It was okay, but we won't be back.

A table we had already reserved was taken away from us because a waitress "needed it now" to seat her friends there. We had waited almost 10 minutes for a table with a water view and had agreed with another waitress, a very nice young man, that we could have it. We even let a group of three behind us go ahead because they wanted a table in the second row. The guests sitting at the table we wanted had previously informed us that they wanted to pay now and that the table would be free soon. So, it couldn't get any more amicable than that. When the time came, and we were just about to sit down, a female waitress suddenly intervened and explained that she "needed this table now." We were told that some of her brother's friends were there and she wanted to seat them there. The waitress commented: "You've only waited five minutes, and maybe another table will be free soon." The waitress's appearance and manner were the exact opposite of the nice young man who had promised us the table. Apparently, the female waitress was in command, so this behavior was tolerated. It was also noticeable that the previous guests had to wait for their bills just as long as the female waitress's acquaintances had arrived at the restaurant. There didn't seem to be a reservation. We were there by boat and decided to leave. After we departed, the new guests cheekily waved goodbye to us. This perfectly matched the female waitress's demeanor. If the manager of the Strandlust reads this, I would be delighted if he could tell me whether such behavior from his waitress was in his best interest or perhaps even meant to express the hospitality of his establishment. We then went around the corner to the Ruderklause. Everything there was wonderful and the service was refined. Best wishes from Köpenick!

It's unbelievable how the owner reacted to a justified criticism from Daniel Schwarz regarding the lack of vegetarian/vegan cuisine: "Oh, nonsense... won't be back!" So you can skip the beautiful view and visit the many other restaurants in the area.

We ate there today in this awful weather. Apart from the salad as a side dish, everything was OK. The coleslaw was canned and the tomatoes were dry and tasted of nothing. A little oil or dressing would have been good.

The Strandlust restaurant boasts a unique location on a ship on Lake Seddin. The maritime ambiance has been lovingly preserved, and the waterfront views are particularly beautiful in the evenings. The menu offers classic dishes at pleasingly reasonable prices. Friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere round out the experience. Highly recommended for day-trippers and water enthusiasts.

Everything was great Nice location Good selection Yes, it takes a while when it's busy But you take your time when visiting a restaurant 😉 And all those who complain about the service be glad that someone is still working in service from morning to night on weekends. Because of comments like these, sometimes no one wants to do it anymore. More respect, even if not everything is perfect

Not wheelchair accessible, so there I was, standing with three wheelchair users, with no indication of whether it was even possible to climb the steep stairs. What a shame.

I give it 5 stars in all categories because the location is simply quaint, the food (whether fish or schnitzel) has remained consistent over the years, simply good, home-style cooking at reasonable prices, and the staff remains friendly even when things get hectic. And all this with a beautiful view of Lake Seddin/Dahme.

Anyone who appreciates casual service with an apron will certainly get their money's worth here. For everyone else: A bit more professionalism would have been appreciated. The waitress seemed more preoccupied with her phone than with the guests – and this for a meal that costs between 20 and 30 euros. The highlight? She served with her mouth full and chewing – a true highlight of etiquette! The menu tempts with a special selection of chanterelle mushrooms, but after ordering, the bitter news came: the mushrooms were out. It's great when you offer a special menu but then can't deliver the food. That seems more sloppy than professional. The ambiance seems a bit dated and could desperately use a freshen-up. A bit of color and attention to detail would do the room good. The food itself was fine, although the presentation could be improved. It's particularly unfortunate that for fish dishes between 20 and 30 euros, you have to order the sauce separately – that's not a given these days. Conclusion: A restaurant that once shone with style, today stands out more for its casualness and lack of interest. It might be okay for a quick, casual evening – but those who value service and ambiance might want to look elsewhere.

It's been worth a visit with the family for generations! The view is beautiful, the food is rustic and delicious, and the service is usually excellent! The Königsberger Klopse are delicious!

A beautiful location! Unfortunately, when we walked in, all three staff members were busy with themselves and didn't even receive a greeting. We sat down on the beautiful terrace. After 15 minutes, since there was no waiter in sight, my wife got a drinks menu. An unfriendly person came over and said to us, "So impatient, you're entering the service area." We apologized. We finally had three menus, but hadn't asked for drinks yet. We had been sitting for over 25 minutes, and the terrace was occupied by four tables. Had it been full, we would have been understanding. After 30 minutes, we decided to leave. We happened upon the Seelodge on Lake Crossinsee!!! A dream, the staff were very friendly, drinks arrived after 10 minutes, and the food was a delight. So happy to have discovered the Seelodge. We won't be going back to the Strandlust restaurant...

We were out on a boat and hopped here spontaneously. Despite the great weather and it being a Saturday evening, we were still able to get a table. The food was very good and freshly prepared. The staff was super friendly and willing to accommodate even the smallest of requests. An absolutely fantastic place to eat and relax with a fantastic view of the water. Highly recommended.

The staff is friendly, quick, helpful, and very accommodating. The drinks and food are simple, but the quality is good and the prices are fair.... A beautifully located restaurant with a wonderful ambiance and a stunning view, as you sit on an old ship. However, this is just the terrace; another ship in front of it forms the heart of the restaurant. My enthusiasm was endless, and I highly recommend the Strandlust restaurant.

The restaurant is highly recommended. We arrived without a reservation with a group of 17 people. Shortly after opening, there were still plenty of seats available, both inside and outside with a view of Lake Seddin. The service was very efficient, and our order was taken quickly. The counter and kitchen staff served our order in a reasonable time and with good quality. The value for money is good. It's remarkable how organized the two waiters were in serving the outdoor area, which continued to fill with guests. In three other restaurants, primarily under German management, our group, which only serves on Wednesdays, was turned away without a reservation. We were in excellent hands at "Strandlust." Many thanks to the crew for this.

Decent food at fairly steep prices, but the portions were quite large. During our visit on Good Friday, we had no problem finding a table without a reservation. The wait staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The food and drinks were good. Perhaps the asparagus was a bit heavy on celery, which we weren't used to. A bit too much of a 90s beech veneer inferno in the dining room. They could definitely do a bit more with the place...

We were here for Mother's Day with our parents, like so many others that day. The location is really beautifully situated, even if the interior still looks just as GDR-like as it did over 10 years ago, yet it still has a lot of potential. Making a reservation in advance by phone was no problem at all and was absolutely straightforward. My main criticism, however, is the service. We arrived almost 10 minutes late, but our table was still occupied, and we had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. Placing orders during our entire stay was an absolute disaster. It took forever and even longer for anyone to even come and get what we ordered. We had to wait a total of almost 20 minutes for the drinks we ordered at the beginning, and unfortunately, we had to ask for them. Overall, we had the feeling that the service had no system at all: who was responsible for which table, who cleared what when, and waiting for someone to see if everything was OK or if you wanted something else was a long time. Empty glasses were skillfully ignored. The drinks and ice cream sundaes were thrown together without any care. Luckily, the cakes were really delicious. For someone who once worked in service, the experience was truly abysmal. With more structure among the staff, the customer volume could have been easily managed. A shame. ☹️

I can highly recommend this place. Just don't go there on public holidays without a table reservation. The service is handled by young people. They try hard and are friendly, but don't quite have the insight. The dishes are homemade. Great thanks to the chefs. Unfortunately, the normal salads aren't the burner. Ours came with no dressing or oil. When we asked, a small bowl of dressing came. Given the prices for the food, I'm happy to accept that we waited a little longer for the orders today on a normal Sunday. Please keep the prices the same and we'll be happy to come back.

After several visits, the service is still very questionable. The structure and overview is missing, you have to draw attention to yourself several times to even be seen. Everything is quite time-consuming and not guest-oriented. The friendliness was rather forced and not attentive. You felt out of place rather than wanted as a guest. It's a shame.

I had a great dining experience at this German restaurant on a barge, offering beautiful river views and a peaceful atmosphere. The fresh, locally sourced fish was cooked to perfection, with a choice of boiled potatoes or crispy fries. The option to have it steamed made for an exceptionally tender and flavorful dish. A fantastic spot for a relaxing meal in a scenic setting!

It's been a long time since I returned to the wonderful Strandlust restaurant. Everything was perfect, the service was great, I particularly liked the young man with the purple hair. For food I chose a classic schnitzel with croquettes. Since I was so hungry and hungry for the schnitzel, I couldn't help but take a few bites first and then take a photo. Everything was really good, everyone was nice and it's also great for stopping by with dogs. (Every bite was a delight!) Gladly again!

Maybe we just had a bad day? Today we stopped at Strandlust after a nice walk, or at least we tried to. They were initially ignored and then rejected extremely harshly. Before that, you took the time to complain to your own colleague who was trying to accommodate the wishes of a guest at the table. You won't win guests that way and you certainly won't keep staff that way. We definitely won't try there again. I recommend a little more friendliness to the unfriendly colleague!

Strandlust is a typical example of how the sound makes the music! Yes, it was busy and service was good. We asked for a place for two and were quickly dismissed with the harsh information that it was full. As I said, the sound makes the music. A friendly face and the friendly information that it is currently full and that you should wait another 20 minutes is always better than giving a potential guest the feeling that they are anything but welcome. You'll quickly lose your desire for the beach!

5 stars for a great price-performance ratio! Of course you could do some work on the ambience (inside!), but the currywurst and fries tasted really, really great for 7.50 euros. I'll be back in the summer to try out the terrace, which offers a great view of the Dahme!

So, last Sunday we had dinner in the restaurant there. The food was good but we had to wait a long time. OK, it was a Sunday, nice weather and there was something to do. The service was actually okay. But........when it came to paying I wanted to pay by card. I had 6 euros too little in my wallet. But no problem, I had my card with me. But no, you can't pay by card. I wouldn't have dreamed of the idea. The restaurant is not a small little place. Luckily my companion was able to help out, otherwise I would have had to leave my ID behind. That's not very customer friendly. That's why I wouldn't go there again.

A stop at “Strandlust” is always worth it. The food and drinks taste very good and the homemade cake is particularly recommended. Everything hurts in terms of price these days, but there are also some delicious dishes under €20. Cake costs €3-3.50 per piece - expensive, but tastes really great!!! The ambience is particularly nice outside with a full view of Lake Seddin with its sailors. There is no alternative to cash payment, which ensures quick turnover of guests. That's annoying, but you go/or stay - depending on how full your wallet is. Therefore only 4 stars for service. The staff is super nice! Have fun!

Two hours of pure nostalgia. A great restaurant right on the lake with excellent home-style cuisine. And all of this at prices that are absolutely top notch. But be careful. No card payment. Unfortunately only 4 points for service because we had to wait 30 minutes for the bill. But absolutely recommended.

Great fried potatoes, these ones rightly deserve their name, nice and crunchy. Many restaurants tell you such silly things. But here they are, super crispy. Overall, the dishes are simple and clear. No frills and it tastes good too, we had the fried herring with fried potatoes. This was cold and not from the pan, but as I said, it tasted good whether served with a side salad or fried potatoes. The second dish was equally delicious pollack fillet breaded with boiled potatoes and hollandaise sauce, the hollandaise served separately was really good. Overall really 5 stars, the surroundings alone couldn't be more wonderful. Nice service, the young people also do their job well and try to be funny here and there. As a man, I can dismiss the fact that I, as a man, walk towards the entrance with ladies' first, with a wink. Thank God I'm not a stubborn philistine.

Didn't meet our expectations in any way. Despite registering and ordering for the 80th birthday (Sunday), no table decorations and a long waiting time. Despite ordering fish, no fish cutlery, question: what level??

The most attractive thing here is the view of the water from the covered terrace, really, really beautiful. The food is down-to-earth, rather average, but not bad either. The prices charged are a bit high considering the quality, but okay given the location. Service was friendly, almost everyone had a short stay. Due to the weather? Conclusion: top-located excursion restaurant with occasional repeat value when the weather is nice.

Right by or on the water, it is the ideal place to enjoy and unwind! If the waiter needs a minute longer, the ambience compensates and slows you down. Nice destination, not for a quick meal! The menu isn't too long, but everything is fresh and the cake is homemade! We keep coming back!

We were actually there because we heard that it wasn't as good as it used to be, but luckily we can't confirm that because we were greeted in a friendly manner, immediately given a menu and asked for drinks. I had to eat my fish Waited a little longer than others, but we both got our food together and it was very tasty. But actually it's the ambience, you're sitting on a floating terrace, you can hear the waves and look at the water, that alone is worth the trip. Of course you don't have to sit outside, there is enough space in the old steamer for family celebrations or something similar. So our conclusion, fully recommended and easy to reach by tram or bike, well from the tram it's probably about a 10 minute walk, the Schmöckwitz beach is also nearby and there's lots of forest for hiking or walking, thank you for the love Hospitality

The Strandlust restaurant offers a unique location in Schmöckwitz, directly on the shore of Lake Seddin. The menu is clearly laid out and offers a sufficient selection. Not only are the warm dishes worth it, but also the coffee and cake. Our visit went smoothly: from the order to the food to the bill, everything went like clockwork. The toilets, which are of interest to many guests, were clean during our visit.

Unfortunately it was not possible to reserve a table for 12 people in the evening on the same day. On site it was then impossible to push tables that were next to each other together so that they could sit together. The entire workforce was overwhelmed. In my opinion, gastronomy is different. The order was a bit mixed up and the drinks came chaotic. The kids sat around for at least half an hour without drinks. The food is ok, but nothing more. Location by the water is great.

It was very tasty again! We always like to come back, even for coffee, and cakes are also delicious! We are very satisfied! 😊😊😊

I give one star for the view. I cannot award points for the food and drinks offered because I did not enjoy the same. We decided to sit on the terrace and were immediately presented with the menu. This was the only personal contact with the staff. From then on we were left alone by the staff. Four employees simply ignored us and looked after all the other tables, even though they passed us. After 30 minutes we left. Never again!!!

I'm so torn. The restaurant has a nice location, right on the lake, with a nice terrace. There is a sign right at the entrance stating that card payments are currently not possible. We wanted to turn back, but I went in anyway and mentioned it. It is due to the poor network and cannot be changed. But for me this means that it is not a “current” situation, but rather a permanent one. Before we left we were told if we had PayPal we could pay with it. PayPal also works with the Internet and the network was wonderful for me. So we stayed. The staff was relatively quick and polite, but with the exception of one waitress, they were not friendly, but rather short. We had, among other things, chanterelles with scrambled eggs for €22.90, which I found to be expensive, especially since the schnitzel with chanterelles only cost one euro more. That didn't add up for me. Conclusion: location and food good, service could be improved.

We had a pleasant stay with friends and had a good lunch with friendly and quick service. We would be happy to come back and recommend the restaurant to others.
