Strandklause Restaurant und Sauna in Ückeritz

I ordered the pork knuckle for €16.50 and it was the best pork knuckle I've ever eaten. And that's coming from a Bavarian. The service is incredibly friendly and attentive. I love this restaurant.

The culinary highlight of our vacation. Top location! Panoramic view of the Baltic Sea. I ordered the fish trio. Everything was fresh. The fish (cod, swordfish, and hake) was cooked to perfection. The coleslaw was delicious and perfectly complemented the fish. The fries were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The potato wedges had a hint of quark balls, which went very well with the salad. And the salad dressing was truly amazing. My wife had the roast pork and raved about it. Service was super friendly, and the prices, for the quality, were more than reasonable. And our dogs were welcome. A must-try when on the island.

I visited the Strandklause Ückeritz and was absolutely thrilled: a prime location right on the beach with unobstructed sea views, a stylish wooden ambiance, and a fish platter for €29 with five huge, perfectly cooked fillets plus side dishes – I've never experienced anything so generous. The drink selection (local beer, refreshing cocktails, fine wines) is excellent, and the staff is super friendly and attentive. Whether it was 20 years ago or today: a true Usedom highlight!

We spontaneously stopped by Strandklause for dinner today. The food and service were very good. We had solyanka, spare ribs, and pierogi. The meat practically fell off the ribs! We were the only guests, which surprised us and was completely unjustified. The ambiance is also unique! Direct view of the Baltic Sea. If you visit Ückeritz, you should definitely eat here.

It's for sale with the real estate agent Engels & Völkers for €1.325 million, for whatever reason. I only ate there once out of curiosity, as our apartment is in Heringsdorf. The food is just what you'd expect from a beach restaurant of this type, although the quality wasn't bad. Service was good, and the location was very nice in the sun anyway.

A restaurant serving Polish and German cuisine. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I enjoyed a delicious grilled swordfish loin here. They have a nice selection of dishes, and you can sometimes find something different than in other restaurants.

I had Bigo with rustic bread for 18.50, it was a small portion, and there were also 3 dry slices of baguette. When I asked where the rustic bread was, it was none that was available on Saturday! The roast pork was tasty but there was very little sauce and you couldn't go wrong with the schnitzel. The restaurant wasn't very busy but the waiting time was very long (20 minutes for drinks), 50 minutes for food and the portions were small (12 year old child wasn't full). They weren't freshly made but kept warm and ready-made potatoes were state prices, the wrong drinks were delivered and the food didn't match the menu and they didn't say anything when ordering. The location is great, the service was friendly.

This was my first time there, and I can only say I highly recommend it. Everything was excellent, from the service to the food and the view—simply fantastic.

Great fish, a fantastic view, and a very friendly waiter. We've been there several times, and every time it's been fantastic. You sit overlooking the sea and look out at the dunes and the beach. We had fish (swordfish and once the large fish platter for two people), and my husband's spare ribs were also very good. Highly recommended.

We sat for lunch on the terrace above the beach with a beautiful view of the Baltic Sea. Shade was plentiful. The menu, with its focus on Polish dishes, offered something for everyone in the family. We (the adults) had three different types of fish (swordfish, hake, cod), and the kids had pierogi and children's schnitzel. The portions were generous – even the children's portion of schnitzel. The fish was delicious! The pierogi were homemade. The service was friendly. We'd be happy to come back.

By far the best restaurant in Ückeritz. A mix of Polish and German cuisine with delicious fish dishes for the perfect Baltic Sea atmosphere. I've been here three times since it opened, and each time it's been incredibly delicious. I especially recommend the pierogi, schnitzel, and swordfish. They have a small but fine menu, and you can tell everything is freshly prepared. The view is 10/10. I'd even go so far as to say that you won't get a better view of the Baltic Sea from any restaurant terrace on the entire island. We will definitely be back!

We were the first guests since the restaurant reopened as a Polish restaurant on July 5, 2025, and received a very warm welcome. All three dishes (bigos, roast pork, and pierogi) were of excellent quality. Even special requests from guests were accommodated. A fantastic view. We'll definitely be back!

A cozy café, with a fireplace and a beautiful view of the Baltic Sea. Very nice service... I always felt very comfortable here and would love to come back.

It was supposed to be a nice evening, but we were disappointed with the food. Long waiting times for drinks and food. For example, I know differently fish fingers (they were two small fish fried) for a 1-year-old. (e.g. Iglo) ok, a matter of interpretation. 2x schnitzel was OK, fried potatoes too oily and almost cold. The remaining orders were average. Chicken breast that was too dry, pike perch that was cold. Justification from service staff. There's only one cook in the kitchen and he can't do it. Ok, we will come back and try again.

The modular ordering system takes some getting used to at first glance, but it's fun to put together the dishes. The quality of the food is very good. The prices may be high, but they reflect the quality offered. Most of the ingredients come from the island or the region. If you're looking for something more than just reasonably priced and "off the shelf," this is the place for you. The service is friendly and courteous. The location is unbeatable. Overall, a clear recommendation. That was 2023. September 2024 The quality of the food has declined significantly, and the portions have shrunk. Sometimes you feel like you've been ripped off. A small, uninspiring salad plate with a baguette: €15.00... The wonderful modular system is no longer available. 4 stars are only given for the good service and the beautiful location.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. The chicken breast fillet was very tough and dry, the side dishes were cold, and the burger and fries were overseasoned. Parts of the menu weren't even available. Long waits for orders, and then drinks were forgotten. The staff takes criticism of the food and gives the impression that they don't care. Absolutely not recommended!

We reserved a table for a group via the website for Sunday, which was also confirmed by email. We arrived at the restaurant and it was closed. We didn't get any rejection, it seems very dubious...

It is a beautiful restaurant with a unique view and ambience. (No comparison with the previous operator 2 years ago). Everything is just right here. The waiter is special, just like us and has exactly our sense of humor. An islander with Rhineland experience. That's exactly what makes this great mix. We sat on the terrace with shandy, amber wheat and a meat platter for 2 people. The dishes, cutlery and presentation alone are very nice. The quality of the food is top. The Polish sausages, simply brilliant. I hope that nothing changes for our next visit. Keep it up!

At the end of our short stay at the great campsite, we treated ourselves to dinner in the Strandklause on the beach in Ückeritz. As you can see from the distribution of stars, we were very happy with everything. The food, see pictures, was really very tasty. I had another starter, a tomato soup. This looked so delicious, I tried it straight away and unfortunately couldn't take a picture. But delicious. The service was also very pleasant and chatty. There is an exchange here and there. Kindness is like a boomerang, it always comes back. Tomorrow we'll go to the campsite in Kühlungsborn.

Relaxed holiday atmosphere - not in the beach retreat The waiter makes the guest feel unwelcome from the start. Gross unfriendliness is sold as Nordic charisma. We spent a very nice evening here in the early season, with a very dedicated waitress. Now in peak season we meet an overwhelmed would-be senior teacher who never misses an opportunity to mention how much there is to do even though only 1/3 of the tables are occupied. It's a shame because the location right on the beach is very nice and the food is okay. Unfortunately we won't be coming back.

The three of us ate in this absolutely sensational restaurant today! The young lady who served us was extremely courteous, quick and really super nice. The starter (bruschetta) was really great, but the Duroc pork cutlet topped everything!!!! SENSATIONAL The view of the sea from the terrace rounded off the evening! We'll be back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a real shame because the location is nice, the view over the sea is great and the staff are really attentive. Unfortunately, we waited over an hour for our expensive but rather disappointing meal. The tagliatelle with steamed vegetables and pork fillet were mainly seasoned with soy sauce and I have actually eaten much better and cheaper. It's a shame - maybe the coffee is good.

The meat from the children's citizen was cooked too long and was tough. The grilled vegetables were only steamed and not Grilled as described. We sat at a table for 20 minutes and waited to be asked. After we went in we got the answer. I've already seen it but we can't do it with 2 waiters and about 20 tables. Sad and then we can't even come to the table and mention it it takes longer. 1 star for the ambience, which is very nice

Really fantastic food and view! I came here two days in a row during my trip to Usedom, staying near Ückeritz. I had Zander which was fried wrapped in Bacon, accompanied by a decent portion of very decadent buttery mashed potato, asparagus and peas. The next lunchtime I had the burger and fries. The portion was large and the burger sauce was amazing, with tiny bits of gherkin and jalapenos mixed into the homemade sauce. The onion marmelade had an unusual spice in it. All round, the chef must have a great palate! The view alone is worth dining here for, as you can look out over the whole beach and the Baltic sea from the clifftop. They have Störtebeker beer on tap and the decor is very tasteful. Yes, it's a tiny bit more pricey than other places in this village, but it's much more outstanding and it's a proper meal, not just a snack place.

Very nicely located with a great terrace. But that was it. The service (owner) appears arrogant and abrupt. There aren't many dishes on the menu and my wife's 10 spaghettis for €16 were a disgrace. We won't be coming back. The 3 stars exclusively for the dream location!

A really nice restaurant, located on the slope of the beautiful Ückeritzer beach, tastefully furnished and a top terrace, inviting you to dine here. Really nice. Since there is no approval yet, the saunas that are already finished cannot yet be used. Damage I think the concept is brilliant and I've never seen it before. Although people turned up their noses when I wanted an appetizer in addition to the main course a few moments after ordering, I overlooked it when we later started talking to the male waiter. It's just a Nordic snout. Our fish platter for 2 was delicious. Price performance was great. Our kids got homemade fish fingers. Also very tasty. All in all very recommendable. Especially with direct access via stairs from the restaurant to the beach. My wife liked the cutlery and dishes so much that we now want them too.

We just got home from our meal there and are still raving about it, it was a really great meal. My girlfriend had the teriaky salmon and was very enthusiastic about the sweet potato puree that was served with it, I ordered the fried pike perch and was very, very impressed by the taste and the way the plate was presented. It was a culinary delight and we can only recommend it. Thank you for this lovely evening.

Juicy prices, less food, poor service but a fantastic view. The appetizers and drinks were brought appropriately. The drinks are very good and tasty. The appetizers tasted okay for their higher price, but they weren't very good. Yes, it's just an appetizer, so the quantity is really compatible. However, the prices suggest otherwise. We waited a little longer for the main courses, which is something you're willing to take with good cuisine. There is still a lot that can be done about the service to detract from the atmosphere. He is quick when it comes to taking orders, but not when it comes to clearing away and reordering. We twice wanted a dip (ketchup, mayo) to go with the fries (expensive for the "quantity"), but we didn't get it. Also, there hasn't been any service since then. So people paid on their own initiative. The view is wonderful, animals are allowed and otherwise the food is okay. Tips for the restaurant: More open communication with guests about waiting times and availability of dips, as well as checking regularly, leads to more positive experiences 😊

Es dauert einfach zu lang bis das Essen kommt. 45 Minuten für ein übersichtlich angeordnetes Kikeriki Tonato ist schon heftig 😵‍💫 und für ne Pizza und ne Lasagne 1,5 Std . Sorry geht gar nicht.

Der Service könnte besser sein, man wird gleich mit dem Spruch begrüßt ob wir zu spät waren , falsches essen bekommen, Lachs viel zu trocken…. Naja …. Später wurden wir einfach ignoriert 😔

Der Ausblick ist herrlich, das Ambiente in dem Restaurant ebenfalls. Das Personal freundlich. Das Essen ist allerdings speziell. Dorschfilet auf Lauchpüree, dazu Drillinge: es ist nicht rund; Kartoffeln und Lauch alleine sehr gut, aber der Fisch passt für meinen Geschmack nicht dazu. Die Lasagne mit zwei Schichten Champignons in Mehlsauce neben der üblichen Hackfleischsauce war einfach nicht lecker. Beide Gerichte sind nicht empfehlenswert. Schade! Vielleicht kommen wir noch einmal wieder, um etwas anderes auszuprobieren.

Alles im allem nett, aber mehr nicht. Wir haben über eine halbe Stunde auf die Vorspeisen gewartet. Dreimal Antipasti - ohne besonderen Geschmack. Irgendwie war das Würzen vergessen worden. Für 4 Krümel Käse Aufschlag geht gar nicht. Brot kam nochmal 5 Minuten später, weil es noch nicht fertig gebacken war. Na toll.... Es waren übrigens nur 4 Tische besetzt. Also kein Druck. Die Hauptspeisen waren ebenso sehr nüchtern, der Pizztateig nicht durchgebacken, Pasta mit diversen Zutaten recht geschmacksneutral. Die in der Karte angepriesenen Öle standen auch nicht auf dem Tisch. Wenn man schon Pizza und Pasta als Hauptpunkte der Karte hat, dann bitte mit Geschmack. Einmal hat gereicht.

Ein wunderschönes gelegenes Restaurant. Es könnten zum heimeligeren Ambiente ein paar große Grünpflanzen als Abtrennung dienen das würde ich toll finden.

Höchst schmackhaft mit einem kleinen aber feinen Angebot, welches man sich nach seinen Vorlieben zusammenstellen kann. Freundliche Bedienung ein angenehmes modernes Ambiente mit einem gemütlichen Kamin. Besonders beeindruckend ist der fantastische Blick auf die Ostsee. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Wir waren während unseres Urlaubes zweimal hier essen. Die Karte ist sehr interessant gestaltet, nachhaltig und lässt Spielraum für eigene Vorlieben. Der Saison angepasst gab es Kürbisgerichte, unbedingt empfehlenswert ( bitte nach der Schärfe fragen:)) Sehr nette, nordische Bedienung und optimale Hilfen für Zusammenstellungen. Vielleicht könnte man ein wenig " Wärme" in die Einrichtung bringen, aber vielleicht war es ja so gewollt. Wir fanden es sehr lecker und waren angetan von der Anrichtung der Speisen. Auf jedem Fall empfehlenswert!

Wir kennen die Lokalität noch als Pizzeria und da waren wir mit 8 bis 10 Personen jedes Jahr, alles war absolut top!!! Aber jetzt war es für uns der letzte Besuch!!! Speisen und Speisekarte ein absolutes Desaster. Preis/Leistung unangemessen! Nicht nur das wir mit 7 Personen über 1 Stunde auf die Pizzas warten mussten uns war allen nach dem Verzehr übel..... Da will man mit Macht reich werden...

Tolles Lokal ganz am Rande des Ückeritzer Trubels, sensationelle Aussicht von der Terrasse und sogar noch vom Innenraum auf den Strand und das Meer. Wir haben mehrfach sehr entspannt hier gesessen, sehr leckeren Cappuccino genossen (Kaffee aus Mellenthin! perfekt...), Kuchen und Pizza gegessen, alles top. Alle Zutaten regional beschafft! Prima Konzept.

Das Essen hat nicht gut geschmeckt, auf Nachfrage wusste der Service nicht was im Essen drin ist, fragte aber auch in der Küche nicht nach. Sehr teuer. Nicht wirklich zu empfehlen. Das positive war der Ausblick von der Terrasse.

Das Konzept wirklich gut, nur leider ist das Baukastensystem beim Personal noch nicht verinnerlicht. Bei 8 Essen waren 2 falsch. Aber der Service war sehr bemüht und wirklich aufmerksam.

Wir waren vom Ambiente sehr angetan, modern, luftig und bis zum Kaffeelöffel stimmig. Das Baukastensystem lässt eine Vielfalt von Varianten zu, man kann ohne schlechtes Gewissen Zutaten dazu- oder abwählen, ganz nach eigenem Geschmack und Vorlieben. Unsere "zusammen gebauten" Pizzen waren super lecker und jederzeit weiter empfehlenswert. Freundlichkeit und guter Service rundete unseren Restaurant Besuch ab.

2h Wartezeit, ungenügender Service, keine Kommunikation über Wartezeit, ignorantes Personal, bis auf die Aussicht absolut nicht zu empfehlen. Schade.

Wir waren letztes Jahr beim alten Betreiber und waren begeistert. Nun hat die neue Besatzung Ihre Chance bekommen. Am grandiosen Ausblick hat sich nichts geändert, allerdings hatten wir mit dem Speisenangebot unsere Probleme. Wir verstehen das Konzept,alle Zutaten waren frisch und von sehr guter Qualität. Das Essen war lecker, nur leider ist uns das Angebot zu eingeschränkt. Nur Pizza und Pasta können uns leider nicht überzeugen. Wir werden leider keine Stammgäste, drücken aber dem Team die Daumen das es so funktioniert.

Schöne Aussicht, sehr gepflegtes Restaurant mit für die Gegend fairen Preisen und die Pizzen und Pasta waren ein Gedicht.

Perfect płace for a dinner and coffe

Hier kann man ganz entspannt bei gutem Essen den Urlaubstag🌞 ausklingen lassen. Von der Terrasse hat man einen schönen Blick über den Strand. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und das essen war köstlich. Frisch und knackig mein Salat und die Pizza 🍕 ebenfalls sehr lecker auch das Tomatenmeer 🥣 können wir sehr empfehlen 👍😉.
