A cozy café, with a fireplace and a beautiful view of the Baltic Sea. Very nice service... I always felt very comfortable here and would love to come back.

Disappointing, no cake left on Mother's Day in the afternoon, scary

We regularly got lunch here in the summer and ate it there too. Dear team and great snack. The broilers are super tasty

The Strandcafé Utkiek is actually a very nice restaurant with a great location right on the coast. The ambiance is cozy, the view is truly pleasant, and the food also impressed us: we had "herring satt" (full of herring) and zander – all freshly prepared and delicious. Unfortunately, our visit was significantly marred by the service. The waiter seemed irritable and unappealing from the start. He barely responded to questions about food or drinks, and recommendations were lacking. Instead of offering advice, we got the impression that every further question was perceived as more of a nuisance. Another negative thing we noticed: Loud discussions coming from the kitchen could be heard throughout the dining room – this seemed unprofessional and disrupted the otherwise pleasant atmosphere. You are allowed to reorder at "herring satt" (full of herring), which is generally a very positive thing. However, when packing the last two herrings, we were initially told that takeaway was not allowed – which we couldn't understand. Only after a brief back and forth were they finally packed "as an exception." It's a shame that this isn't handled more simply. In the end, we decided not to tip due to the overall disappointing service. Unfortunately, the waiter commented loudly and sarcastically on this – which was unpleasant and inappropriate for us. Conclusion: The café offers a beautiful location, good food, and a pleasant atmosphere. However, the service urgently needs to be improved – so that the visit doesn't leave a bad taste in your mouth.
