The best place in ückeritz for unique food. Small menu, absolutely harmonious and delicious dishes with local fish...great starters and dessert too. It's better to make reservations for lunch and dinner on the weekend. The view of the Baltic Sea is unique, the prices are reasonable, the service is great and friendly. I come here regularly during my rehabilitation, sometimes just for a coffee and a piece of homemade cake and then on the weekends I like to have dinner with my visitors. I love the Utkiek.

This was my second time there. After a nice long walk on the beach, stop there for a spicy meat, that's something special😊 The service is friendly and the cafe itself is like a small museum. Little things like that from GDR times bring back memories. The food in general tastes very good. So I'll be back 😊

After reserving a table for two people by telephone, we were warmly welcomed and served quickly, and we were asked every now and then whether everything was OK or if anything else was needed. The dishes are beautifully prepared and taste very good.

We ate very well. No matter whether it was schnitzel, fish or herring, we were very satisfied and well fed.

Wonderful location. Eat directly on the dune. Language barrier with the staff, half of the order was taken incorrectly or not taken at all. A large menu was handed over - after you ordered, you were informed that you could only order from the first page. The food from the lunch menu was okay.

I've been coming to Utkiek for many years. The view is great and it's really nice to sit there. The staff was always friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately the food was quite poor. Sure, everything has become more expensive. This is also the case in Utkiek. But unfortunately the quality has also changed. My pike perch was delicious. The vegetables were completely overcooked and not particularly tasty. The fried potatoes were simply warmed up, slightly mushy and not even really warm. All this for a proud €24.50. The farmer's cutlet used to come with a sausage and a bacon comb. That was all deleted. There is more sauerkraut on the plate. You can do it, but it disappoints your regular customers. Especially since the price has been increased significantly here too.

Greatly adapted to the needs of all kinds of water sports enthusiasts, tasteful and practical equipment, everything very carefully laid out. Our grandson took a sailing lesson there, during which we didn't get bored looking at the various activities. Unfortunately we hadn't made a reservation for dinner; it is probably very popular.

We wanted to eat in the restaurant and were standing at the entrance. All of the serving staff didn't take us seriously. Everyone was visibly annoyed, even though it wasn't that crowded. Then we addressed the waiter with the words "Sorry, would you have a table for us?" There was no answer and no reaction to us, then after 5 minutes we decided to leave. And we won't make the mistake of thinking about eating there again. So far we haven't had to give a restaurant a bad rating because of the staff and it's very simple. Nevertheless, the location and the view are simply fantastic. Unfortunately we can't say anything about the food. 😀

Excellent restaurant. Price-performance ratio is right here. The waiter thinks ahead and brings the ice cream for the child particularly quickly and before any other food/drinks ordered. I had fish & chips and found the dish incredibly tasty.

First spontaneous visit ever. Even without the recommended reservation, you will be assigned a seat immediately. The location with a sea view is great. Since it was already late afternoon, it was a bit chilly on the outside terrace. Blankets were offered without being asked. The drinks and appetizers arrived super quickly, the staff (three different employees with us) were super friendly. Really great. The food was absolutely amazing. Price/performance is absolutely fine for us. We'd love to come back. Keep it up! Edit: 4 days later the 2nd visit to end the vacation. Everything was great again. Uncomplicated reservation, a very nice service staff and the food from starter to main course and dessert was wonderfully appetizing. Really great. See you next year.

A great restaurant with a great view and very friendly service

Nice place with a great view of the Baltic Sea. Food (especially the fish) was excellent. The schnitzel at €22.50 and the portion size completely overpriced! Then charging 50 cents for every portion of ketchup and mayonnaise is sad and not customer-oriented. The staff is very different. From super friendly and accommodating to snappy and annoyed. That's why we wouldn't come back...

The three of us had dinner here in the evening, the starter was spicy meat with cheese gratin, the main course was fish and chips, it was very tasty, the service and ambience were very good.

Got a seat without a reservation, but the clock was ticking. 90 minutes later the ejector seat will come. That was the only negative thing, everyone was kind of rushed. The food and service were great even if everything had to happen quickly. Next time we will pre-order.

Stopped here on our bike tour from Heringsdorf (mobile camping) to Koserow and enjoyed a delicious ice cream sundae. We couldn't help ourselves because of the fantastic view. The cycle path through the beautiful beech forest here was also an experience. Staff very nice and quick.

Nice atmosphere, with a view of the sea. Something hidden. But then found it. Waiting time about 30 minutes - fine. Food selection is clear but everyone will find something. Children's meals available. However, portions are too small for the price quoted. Expect to pay around 25-30 euros per meal and drink. Food is hot and drinks are nice and cold with lots of carbonation - perfect. The waiter's demeanor could seem unfriendly, but we think it's just his manner and he just comes across that way without trying to be rude. We accepted him like that.

It was our first time there and we won't be coming back. The only good thing is the location. The service was visibly annoyed and not particularly friendly. The meal went like this. The fish was dry and the side dish that we were allowed to choose was charged extra on the bill because it was fried potatoes instead of boiled potatoes. You could have said yes.

A wonderful restaurant. We were thrilled several times. The food was really very good. What we didn't like... We ate several times... the restaurant manager or boss treated his staff really badly. During the operation, two different women were made to stand at attention. One lady had tears in her eyes. The service is first class. It's a shame that the work of the employees is not appreciated.

We had visitors from the west 😉😆❗ What could be better than going to “Utkiek” in Ückeritz. We have been here many times, I even as a child. Almost all guests sat outside to experience the wonderful Baltic Sea wave spectacle under a beautiful blue sky. We had reserved and got a wonderful place with the best view of the sea and without any wind blowing really hard❗So we were able to enjoy the great service and the extremely tasty food and drink with our guests. We felt like regulars because that's how we were served by the senior manager (I hope we're not wrong). There were even tips for properly deboning fish ☺️. All in all, a nice gastronomic experience and we will come back more often, even without visitors 😉😊.

There were wonderful caper dumplings for me, exactly how they should taste. Magnificent views of the Baltic Sea and fast service. My husband and I really liked it.

A nice restaurant in itself. But, the food wasn't that great. Spray cream from a can, fried potatoes were very greasy for me and the fried herring was dry.

The service seemed unmotivated to us. We ordered fried fish with potato salad, it was okay, but the fish was very dry. The fish and chips were the same dry fish and the fries also tasted like fish.

Simply wonderful there, right on the Baltic Sea

During the season, I always eat fried green herring. They are perfect and contain a surprise. After eating a portion, you can get additional ones "on request". The record holder ate 27 this way!!😮

Not a bad choice, as it turned out.🌞 Cozy in the beach chair, with a view of the 🌊.⭐️ Friendly staff, good food, I had “Häckerle”, my wife had the fish fillet in a really tasty sauce and it was nice to look at too.⭐️ On our next visit we will head straight for the beach cafe again.👍🏻🖐🏻

Sehr freundliche Bedienung und sehr zuvorkommend. Aber absolut empfehlenswert ist das Essen. Wir waren jetzt schon mehrfach da und es hat immer super geschmeckt. Der Fisch frisch und auf den Punkt gebraten, Gemüse frisch (kein Dosengemüse) Fleisch sehr zart. Preis- Leistung ist super. Sehr gute Auswahl an Speisen. Vorspeisen wie Nordische Bruchetta sehr ungewöhnlich aber auch sehr sehr lecker. Super Aussicht auf die Ostsee. Hier lohnt es sich auf jeden Fall hin zu fahren. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!!!!! Weiter so machen 👍

Hello Utkiek team I can't understand all the positive reviews they've gotten for their food and everything. Five of us were there last night to test local places for our future visits and your restaurant is definitely not on our list after yesterday evening. The most positive thing about our evening was the pasta with goulash, which any housewife can cook and the ice cream that comes from the wholesaler out of the chest. At 200€ and waiting over an hour for the bill, you don't have to ask if you get a tip if you want to eat decently and deliciously then just sit in the car and come see me When you visit my restaurant you won't find such rude staff or such bad food. We have been regular guests at Utkiek for many years; it was our "arrival ritual" to go out to eat there. Unfortunately, this was completely driven out of us a few years ago, and since then our former regular restaurant has looked extremely distant. What happened? It started with obvious ignorance from the waitress, a very bad-tempered gentleman in his early 50s. After what felt like 20 minutes we were finally able to order and the terrace was only a third full. The food was great as always, which was reflected in a good tip (around €5 for 3 meals) despite the lousy and very slow service. The euro we still had to get was thrown onto the table in small change without a word, It should also be mentioned that we had a ticket from the Usedon office for illegally parking our car, even though we properly had a parking ticket in the car, only the bumper protruded about 10cm above the marking because the person behind with a caravan was blocking 3 spaces and without a ticket . Objection pointless despite photos... our conclusion: never again Ückeritz, never again Utkiek!

Despite the beautiful view, unfortunately only one star. Coffee and cake of average quality. The waiter's service was at a very low level, arrogant, rudely demanding a tip... For me, a tip is a thank you to the waiter for the service, not an obligation even in the case of poor service... comments about the mess on the table (bicycle helmets put aside), a question if we know what is a tip? The other waiters serving guests made a nice impression.

We stopped by the restaurant to have some “homemade cake”. Since the number of high positive reviews gave the first impression that it does what it promises, we chose this restaurant today. When you look at the restaurant and the lake view terrace (which has had much better times in terms of the furnishings and furnishings), you are flooded with a certain nostalgia. We were able to place the order without any problems and commented very nicely in the service, but the food simply can't get more than a “3-star rating”. The beach cafe is located right next to the beach in Ückeritz, and from up here you have a wonderful view over the beach. The area is protected from wind, the service is attentive and on point! Great

Das Restaurant hat eine grosse Terrasse mit Blick auf den Strand, da Glasscheiben die Terrasse gegen den Strand begrenzen ist man ziemlich windgeschützt. Recht grosse Auswahl an Speisen, viele Fischgerichte. Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Der Service klappt. Die Qualität der Speisen ist sehr gut und die Portionen sind recht gross. Weinauswahl in Ordnung. Günstige Preise bei den Spirituosen. Generell gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.

We ate brawn with fried potatoes and sea buckthorn cake here in the afternoon. It was very delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive.

Maybe not the fanciest one around but they serve very good food by attentive staff plus a marvelous view out to the Baltic Sea from the terrace. Indoor seating is limited so make sure you reserve a spot beforehand. Plus you can pay by card!
