Strandcafé Utkiek in Ückeritz

Großes Schnitzel mit Pommes kostet 22 Euro und ist reichlich für Hungrige. Das Kinder-Schnitzel für 7 Euro ist deutlich kleiner und unsere 12 und 14 jährigen hätten die gleiche Portion nochmal essen können. Na ja, schwierig einzuschätzen in dem Alter. Fish n chips oder Backfisch für 20 Euro war quasi der gleiche Fisch, nämlich 3 superleckere panierte Fischstücke mit Pommes oder Kartoffelsalat. Auch das war top. Sehr freundliches Personal. Wie der Name vermuten lässt, ist die Aussicht auf die Ostsee und den Strand echt schön!

We have eaten in this restaurant several times. The view is great. The food is okay, but the service was terrible on our last visit. Food was not brought as ordered. Drinks were not brought together, but one after the other. Guests who came after us had their food earlier. We had to wait 30 minutes. Overall, we were absolutely disappointed that evening. We won't be visiting the restaurant again for the time being.

As always, first of all, toilets clean and well maintained with one saying. Friendly reception and the staff were courteous, friendly and in a good mood. I personally recommend the Baltic Sea Bruschetta!!!! You can also have Soljanka or the herring specialties.

Wir waren schon öfters in diesem Restaurant essen. Heute waren wir absolut enttäuscht. 15 Minuten bis die Karten an den Tisch gebracht wurden. Die Getränke wurden einzeln an den Tisch gebracht, obwohl man ja eigentlich die Getränke zusammen bringt. Dies dauerte auch wieder. Gäste die nach uns gekommen waren und 4 Personen am Tisch saßen bekamen Diese schneller Ihr Essen als wir. 30 Minuten auf unser Essen gewartet. Dann wurden Extras nicht beachtet, obwohl Diese zur Kenntnis genommen wurden. Nachbestellen war auch nicht einfach, da die zwar angenommen wurden, aber nicht gebracht. Es war ein echt enttäuschenden Abend. Zumal wir 2 Tage vorher da waren und der Service und das Essen top waren.

Very nicely located with a great view. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I was tired of herring with fried potatoes, very tasty! And the basic portion of 3 herrings was enough for me, but I was asked if I would like a second helping.

There is a very cozy atmosphere here. The service is very friendly and attentive. We have eaten here several times and have always been very satisfied. The food is always freshly prepared and tastes very good. Having enough herring is a dream, unfortunately we couldn't eat any more after the fifth. But the fishing spirit afterwards made you feel good again. Keep it up, we'll be happy to come back. 😊👋

We were “tired of herring”. It was very tasty. The eyes would have liked to eat more, but after 3 pieces the stomach went on strike, especially since the delicious portion of fried potatoes was also very large. Service and ambience were also good. We left the restaurant very satisfied.

Super delicious food and drink.

Vom Strand aus sieht das Resaturant aus wie eine Baracke - das ändert sich, je weiter man die Treppe nach oben klettert. Es gibt einen Kamin, vor dem ein Sofa steht. Uns hat das Ambiente sehr gefallen, sodass wir öfter kamen. Der Blick aus dem Fenster direkt auf die Ostsee ist wunderschön. Es gibt guten Whisky zu zivilen Preisen, der am Kamin noch besser schmeckt.

Every time we are on holiday in Ückeritz we visit Utkiek, the first time I always eat fried herring with fried potatoes, I look forward to it. Yesterday I had pike perch with mango chutney, extremely tasty. The staff is friendly and attentive. If there were 10 stars I would give them. We are already looking forward to the next time.

The best place in ückeritz for unique food. Small menu, absolutely harmonious and delicious dishes with local fish...great starters and dessert too. It's better to make reservations for lunch and dinner on the weekend. The view of the Baltic Sea is unique, the prices are reasonable, the service is great and friendly. I come here regularly during my rehabilitation, sometimes just for a coffee and a piece of homemade cake and then on the weekends I like to have dinner with my visitors. I love the Utkiek.

This was my second time there. After a nice long walk on the beach, stop there for a spicy meat, that's something special😊 The service is friendly and the cafe itself is like a small museum. Little things like that from GDR times bring back memories. The food in general tastes very good. So I'll be back 😊

After reserving a table for two people by telephone, we were warmly welcomed and served quickly, and we were asked every now and then whether everything was OK or if anything else was needed. The dishes are beautifully prepared and taste very good.

Food ok, but a bit old, service ok and friendly. Ambiance inside a total disaster. Between world war and other glorification to “funny” sayings and dead fish covered in dust on the wall. Terrace ok - it's the view that counts! Conclusion: Pleasant & tasty is different. Landed there by mistake.

Wonderful location. Eat directly on the dune. Language barrier with the staff, half of the order was taken incorrectly or not taken at all. A large menu was handed over - after you ordered, you were informed that you could only order from the first page. The food from the lunch menu was okay.

I've been coming to Utkiek for many years. The view is great and it's really nice to sit there. The staff was always friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately the food was quite poor. Sure, everything has become more expensive. This is also the case in Utkiek. But unfortunately the quality has also changed. My pike perch was delicious. The vegetables were completely overcooked and not particularly tasty. The fried potatoes were simply warmed up, slightly mushy and not even really warm. All this for a proud €24.50. The farmer's cutlet used to come with a sausage and a bacon comb. That was all deleted. There is more sauerkraut on the plate. You can do it, but it disappoints your regular customers. Especially since the price has been increased significantly here too.

Always worth a visit. Delicious dishes, friendly and fast service and, above all, the great view of the Baltic Sea from the terrace keep us coming back here again and again. Greatly adapted to the needs of all kinds of water sports enthusiasts, tasteful and practical equipment, everything very carefully laid out. Our grandson took a sailing lesson there, during which we didn't get bored looking at the various activities. Unfortunately we hadn't made a reservation for dinner; it is probably very popular.

Beautiful views of the Baltic Sea, lukewarm starters and soggy fried potatoes can be found elsewhere for less money.

We wanted to eat in the restaurant and were standing at the entrance. All of the serving staff didn't take us seriously. Everyone was visibly annoyed, even though it wasn't that crowded. Then we addressed the waiter with the words "Sorry, would you have a table for us?" There was no answer and no reaction to us, then after 5 minutes we decided to leave. And we won't make the mistake of thinking about eating there again. So far we haven't had to give a restaurant a bad rating because of the staff and it's very simple. Nevertheless, the location and the view are simply fantastic. Unfortunately we can't say anything about the food. 😀

Excellent restaurant. Price-performance ratio is right here. The waiter thinks ahead and brings the ice cream for the child particularly quickly and before any other food/drinks ordered. I had fish & chips and found the dish incredibly tasty.

First spontaneous visit ever. Even without the recommended reservation, you will be assigned a seat immediately. The location with a sea view is great. Since it was already late afternoon, it was a bit chilly on the outside terrace. Blankets were offered without being asked. The drinks and appetizers arrived super quickly, the staff (three different employees with us) were super friendly. Really great. The food was absolutely amazing. Price/performance is absolutely fine for us. We'd love to come back. Keep it up! Edit: 4 days later the 2nd visit to end the vacation. Everything was great again. Uncomplicated reservation, a very nice service staff and the food from starter to main course and dessert was wonderfully appetizing. Really great. See you next year.

Nice place with a great view of the Baltic Sea. Food (especially the fish) was excellent. The schnitzel at €22.50 and the portion size completely overpriced! Then charging 50 cents for every portion of ketchup and mayonnaise is sad and not customer-oriented. The staff is very different. From super friendly and accommodating to snappy and annoyed. That's why we wouldn't come back...

A great restaurant with a great view and very friendly service

The three of us had dinner here in the evening, the starter was spicy meat with cheese gratin, the main course was fish and chips, it was very tasty, the service and ambience were very good.

Stopped here on our bike tour from Heringsdorf (mobile camping) to Koserow and enjoyed a delicious ice cream sundae. We couldn't help ourselves because of the fantastic view. The cycle path through the beautiful beech forest here was also an experience. Staff very nice and quick.

Got a seat without a reservation, but the clock was ticking. 90 minutes later the ejector seat will come. That was the only negative thing, everyone was kind of rushed. The food and service were great even if everything had to happen quickly. Next time we will pre-order.

Nice atmosphere, with a view of the sea. Something hidden. But then found it. Waiting time about 30 minutes - fine. Food selection is clear but everyone will find something. Children's meals available. However, portions are too small for the price quoted. Expect to pay around 25-30 euros per meal and drink. Food is hot and drinks are nice and cold with lots of carbonation - perfect. The waiter's demeanor could seem unfriendly, but we think it's just his manner and he just comes across that way without trying to be rude. We accepted him like that.

It was our first time there and we won't be coming back. The only good thing is the location. The service was visibly annoyed and not particularly friendly. The meal went like this. The fish was dry and the side dish that we were allowed to choose was charged extra on the bill because it was fried potatoes instead of boiled potatoes. You could have said yes.
