The food arrived very quickly; perhaps a catering service was involved. I couldn't find anything particularly special about the Gypsy schnitzel, or maybe I did... The piece of meat was accompanied by the taste of the breading. The price of beer has remained very stable, although it's now only a 40cl bottle. When paying the bill, I was given suspicious looks because I rounded the amount up to the nearest euro. After the owner's comment, I changed my review. It never occurred to me to leave even a single cent as a tip; I just didn't want to weigh down my wallet with extra coins. I'd say that's fine now, once and never again. 👐

I'm editing my review just to respond to the owner of this establishment. I was in Usedom a year ago, as you can see in this photo I took in Ückeritz (I have many more). I made the mistake of choosing this place to eat, where the service was poor and pretentious, and the food was rather bad and bland. The tone of the response already reveals the arrogant and unfriendly attitude of those who run this place. And yes, I'm Argentinian, and in my country, diners are treated with respect, not as you did. It's a shame because Ückeritz is very beautiful, and the service in the other establishments I visited was excellent... Thanks for reminding me that I should give you good reviews.

Review: Restaurant Heimathafen, Ückeritz To be honest, from the outside, the Heimathafen restaurant wouldn't have immediately appealed to me – the facade just wasn't quite my taste. But luckily, I wasn't fooled, because inside, the complete opposite awaits: a cozy, welcoming atmosphere with plenty of charm. The food is truly good – fresh, delicious, and prepared with love. The staff is also extremely friendly and attentive. A place that demonstrates: true quality lies within.

We had reserved a table for 7 p.m. on Friday, but due to traffic on the highway, we arrived an hour late. We were still greeted warmly, and our table was still free. The cod and the Mathes were delicious. It was the perfect start to a long weekend on Usedom.

We spent almost two weeks on vacation in Ückeritz. We ate at Heimathafen four times. Very friendly service and staff, the food was fresh and prepared with love, generous portions, and excellent value for money. A reason for us to come back. Today we were sent away for the second time with a food request. The first time, at 8:35 p.m., we weren't offered any drinks due to the 9:00 p.m. closing time. Today, at 8:04 p.m., food was no longer available because they still had to serve 11 people. We would have waited, but apparently finishing on time is more important. Not recommended.

Since we were short on another plate, we politely asked for an extra plate for my husband. The manager's expression darkened, and they brought us another plate without informing us that it would incur an additional charge of €1.50. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was very cozy.

Suffering from sudden hunger, we headed to Heimathafen. Even though all the tables were already reserved, we were served. I'm really glad we were able to stop here. The waitress and the owner were extremely child-friendly, hospitable, and accommodating. We ordered the salad with chicken and feta, which the three of us shared. Afterwards, we had two burgers, a schnitzel ou four (if you like meat, you'll love it!), and two regular schnitzels. The food was perfect across the board! Even though I'm a very good eater, I had to struggle with the large portions! The place is very lovingly designed and invites you to linger. A huge compliment! If we're in the area again, we'll definitely visit you again! Keep up the good work 👍👍👍

Overall, the impression quickly arises: it's best not to touch anything, say nothing, just sit still. It's a real shame, because going to a restaurant should actually be a part of the quality of life, but here it felt more like control and discomfort. One star goes to the extremely friendly and attentive gentleman in service. In contrast, the operator herself in the reception area appears cold, arrogant and dismissive, almost instructive. The fact that only cash payments are accepted fits into the picture, but at least that will soon be history. Conclusion: Anyone who values ​​a pleasant atmosphere and genuine hospitality is unfortunately not in good hands in their home port. In this case, you are welcome to forego an answer or statement from the restaurant.

Home port Ückeritz – a place to feel good An absolute insider tip! The friendly service and attention to detail create an incomparable feel-good atmosphere. I was particularly impressed by the Christmas highlight: the port wine pear on vanilla ice cream with gingerbread espuma and mulled wine cherries. This creation was a true taste explosion and a perfect end to an all-round successful evening. I'll definitely be back!

We had a very good meal with them last night. When the food was served, beetroot sauce was poured over my wife's pants, she apologized briefly and that was it. They then claimed that she wanted to take the plate off, which is a lie. The boss was very unfriendly and short. You can also be a little friendlier and respond with a little concession. We are very disappointed with such an appearance from a boss. I still don't completely agree with her answer and we didn't make her look bad either. In addition, I can't imagine that an overcamera would record this so precisely and I haven't seen any indication that its object is being monitored.

Today we had a good meal at absolutely fair prices. In my case the schnitzel Berlin style (with 2 fried eggs) and fried potatoes as well as a side salad. The food was nicely prepared and tasted good. All in all a great evening. Important: Reservation should be available. We were lucky and got a table from which we could see how busy the restaurant is at the moment. One person (I assume the boss) was almost constantly busy with appointment requests in the reservation book, which were received by telephone and on site. Anyone who follows me will certainly notice that we have and will rate some restaurants on the island of Usedom in the next few weeks. There is a clear recommendation for this. Not fine cuisine but what was offered was very well implemented!

Have been to this restaurant for dinner again since 2018. The new team has modernized the restaurant and garden, making it bright and cozy. The most important thing: it was very tasty. We had a BBQ burger and turkey gratinated with mozzarella. The price is fair to medium-priced - the staff/service is friendly and cheerful and the atmosphere makes you feel good. We can highly recommend the home port.

Thanks to good reviews, we reserved a table for dinner. Food was good. We actually wanted to stay and drink 1-2 delicious cocktails when we were informed that we still had half an hour before the next guests would arrive. We wouldn't have been upset if we had gotten a table without a reservation, but please not like that. You do not do that.
