Restaurant & Café "Krümel" in Ückeritz

I've never written a review before, but this restaurant deserves one! It's not a "tourist trap" restaurant, but genuinely delicious and high-quality food. The service is friendly and approachable, not just "tourist-friendly." I/we highly recommend this restaurant!

Lovely restaurant with friendly service. The food was excellent and it was a wonderful evening. We'd love to come back. The only thing to know beforehand is that they only accept cash.

A must-try when on the island of Usedom. Super delicious food, a very cozy atmosphere, and a chef who greets his guests with a smile. We felt very comfortable. Our son had a fish soup that was second to none: lots of fish, lots of fresh vegetables, and bread that begged for more. My cod in beer batter was also delicious, especially the homemade remoulade that accompanied it. My husband had zander in an almond coating and was delighted; not a single almond was dark or too crispy. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Usedom and are already looking forward to it.

The "Fischtelker" was a real treat again. We always enjoy going to Café and Restaurant Krümel. The food is delicious and the value for money is exceptional. The service is excellent, and every wish is fulfilled. The lovingly decorated dining room is always inviting. Thank you for the lovely evening.

A first-class restaurant in the square. The food and drinks are excellent. From fish to meat, everything is exceptionally delicious!!! The chef serves and the lady cooks. Both are super sweet and absolutely pet-friendly. The dog is allowed on the terrace and in the restaurant, as long as he behaves. 😉 Whenever I visit my relatives here, I often stop by here because it's simply delicious. I highly recommend the cod in beer batter with the most delicious fried potatoes on the island, followed by the forest fruit crumble. Everything is homemade, of course, especially the delicious tartar sauce. The sunset is the perfect end to the meal on the beautiful sun terrace.

Shortly after opening, the café only had two cakes to choose from. After a short time, there weren't any left. It was simply sad, as we were used to it. Furthermore, the music was playing very loudly.

They serve the best fish soup on the entire island. But the other dishes are also impressive… super delicious, from fresh fish to cakes. This café and restaurant is truly a delight. We'll be back. DEFINITELY

Unfortunately, we found out about Krümel too late and were only able to eat there twice during our stay. Sensationally good food at a reasonable price, a very pleasant atmosphere, and very friendly owners. This restaurant is an absolute must. If we ever vacation on Usedom again, we will definitely go there again.

Highly recommended! Everything there is truly amazing. I've eaten many schnitzels in my life, but this was by far the best schnitzel topped with cheese I've ever eaten! And the fish platter is a dream! You have to try it!

The food was okay, but nothing more. The table was cleared very late. The menu was clear.

We discovered this restaurant/café by chance. The sign could be a bit bigger 🤭. Six of us stopped in and were greeted very warmly by the owner. We ordered three ice cream sundaes, coffee, a latte macchiato, and a cheese and poppy seed cake, as well as two delicious "Sturmsack" (a cream puff with fruit and cream). Everything was absolutely delicious 😋. The decor is in keeping with the surroundings, and there's an outdoor area with a view of the Achterwasser lake. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be happy to stop by again.

A beautifully designed restaurant, the service is very friendly and customer-friendly, and the menu isn't overly extensive. Thanks to the homemade dips and sauces, it's a completely different kind of culinary delight. The coffee was also delicious, and the cakes and tarts looked very good. It's definitely worth a visit and a meal.

At least one visit to Café Krümel is a must during any Usedom vacation. And today it was that time again. As always, the cake was delicious and the waitress/manager very friendly. We also appreciate the conversations with the waitresses every year. We love going there and have always been lucky with the weather, allowing us to enjoy our coffee and cake outside on the garden terrace. We haven't tried the savory dishes yet, but the food looked delicious and very attractively presented on the plates of the neighboring tables. You should definitely see for yourself...whether it's coffee and cake, ice cream, or fish/meat dishes!

This restaurant was recommended to us by a camping neighbor. We went there for dinner and were very satisfied from start to finish. Very friendly service, fantastic food, and a very pleasant atmosphere. We sat on the terrace. The only downside is that you can only pay with cash. However, a small sticker at the entrance indicates this. A definite recommendation!

Nice owners, large and tasty portions

Visited as a café, had a selection of two cakes, which tasted like frozen goods. Service was friendly. Since the food was rated well, I should probably skip the café.

We celebrated our wedding there with a fantastic buffet in a very family-friendly atmosphere. The entire team was polite and considerate of our guests' wishes. We had discussed everything a few weeks in advance, and everything was already perfect. Today, after almost a year, we spontaneously returned and were incredibly lucky to snag a table, even though reservations are recommended. We were once again amazed at how delicious the food was, and the prices are completely reasonable. Next to the café, there's a children's playground where our children had a blast, and we were able to finish our meal in peace. We'll definitely be back. Great family business 👍🥰

Great atmosphere; I was seated in the middle of the lawn and received friendly service. My crepe with salmon and honey mustard dressing stimulated all my taste buds, and the berry crumble was the perfect finishing touch. Small but perfectly formed, I can recommend this café to all foodies.

We visited "Krümel" on May 22nd after a visit to the Museum of Illusions and were so enchanted. Everything was just right, and we had a lot of fun with the two very friendly men (owner and chef). Since we were there at 2 p.m., they naturally offered us coffee and cake. It wasn't just any coffee or cake, though, but a Dutch coffee 😋 and warm crumble 😋😋, and it was so beautifully presented 👍 our mouths were already watering just looking at it. Really good value for money. Definitely worth a visit. We'll be back 👍 Best wishes from the two friendly Berliners 🌞

Well-kept ambience, very friendly and committed service, tasty food

This wasn't our first time at Kaffee Krümel, and we didn't regret it. A wonderful atmosphere, very friendly people, and excellent food. Even special requests are always happily fulfilled with passion and love. We'll be happy to come back again. Please keep up the good work and don't let it get you down.

The café and restaurant is highly recommended. We're currently sitting in the sun with cake and coffee. Very friendly service, simply wonderful.

Due to the lack of vegetarian dishes, I agreed with the waiter on a large salad (it wasn't on the menu, just a small mixed salad). When I looked at the bill at home, I couldn't believe my eyes. The charge was 2 x small mixed salad = €26.80), not even bread was offered. The price had no relation to the performance. Slightly larger in quantity than a side salad, consisting of lettuce, tomatoes, a few grapes...no ham, egg or anything similar. Very, very disappointing!

Shown on Google Maps as open from 2 p.m. But that doesn't apply to the kitchen. Food is only available from 4:30 p.m.

Were here yesterday and immediately felt at home. Arrived very thirsty and quickly got relief. Very hungry!!! Food came, 😋 it looked great. ....and what's more.....it tasted fantastically good.(If I hadn't been soooooooo full, I would have liked to have eaten something else, but sorry, it just wasn't possible!!! GOOD, you can just test it again today.....and you won't believe it, it was just as good again today, or better. Whatever, always with pleasure!!! 5 stars – highly recommended! Went to Krümel's Café Restaurant in Ückeritz for the first time today - and it was great all around! The furnishings are really cozy and designed with attention to detail. The coffee and ice cream not only tasted great, but were also beautifully presented. What struck us as particularly positive was that there were toys at the table for our little daughter, which she had a great time with - something like that is rare these days and shows how family-friendly the café is. The food was really tasty – to be honest: it couldn’t be better! A clear recommendation for everyone who values ​​quality, atmosphere and warmth. We'll definitely be back!

At friends' homes. That's how we felt. Very nice atmosphere, even if the owner still has big plans for it. Food on point. Schnitzel wonderful fish had the perfect cooking point. Really recommended. Especially with children.

We were there from September 16th to September 21st. On vacation in Ückeritz (Pension Neptun), we had dinner at Krümel twice, we can only say one thing, WOW!!!!! Great, delicious and very plentiful food, no matter what was on the plate, 2 absolutely friendly employees and a great cook Great atmosphere, absolutely recommended The Schmidts from Suhl

Went to the “Krümel Gaststätte” for a late lunch today. It is important to register by phone!!!. The atmosphere inside and outside is good, and there is also a view of the backwater. The team from the “crumbs” is simply great. Ordering and service are timely, coordinated, according to the workforce situation. The quality of the food are worthy of a top chef. Fish to perfection (zander), mushrooms, grated potatoes, everything was great. A great meal from the chef. We wish the young team Krümel all the best. Next year in 2025 we will come back to check and get the salt mill.😄🖐

Extremely nice operators and staff. You feel at home here. Nice outdoor seating. Reservation is an advantage. Especially in season. Fish dishes at their best and extremely tasty 😋. We'll be back. Keep it up 👍🙂

Unfortunately there seems to be xenophobia in this restaurant and in conversations we get the impression that no foreigners are wanted on the island and we don't want to support this political attitude - that's why we won't be coming back. It's a shame because the food is good.

We were on holiday in Usedom and at Krümels twice. The food is excellent, prepared with love, nothing frozen, even the potato pancakes are handmade. The service fulfills every wish if possible, is very attentive and child-friendly. If you're on holiday in Ückeritz, you should definitely eat here 👌🏻

There were 3 of us + dog eating in the evening. The food was really good - we think it's great value for money - the waitresses were all very friendly and the guest garden was very quiet. I can only recommend it.
