Great grill, delicious food, good quality. Staff very, very friendly, but too much self-service, which is understandable in this day and age (staff shortages). The lake is nearby, but unfortunately, you're not actually at the lake, which would be great, but it's just a campsite in between. Parking is difficult.

We made a reservation for 6:00 PM, which was a good thing. I think the chef welcomed us 🤓 The food was excellent, the service... I've rarely been served so friendly and without stress, etc. 6 out of 5 stars, definitely... oh yeah, and in case anyone complains about having to pick up their own food at the counter... firstly, every course makes you slim, and secondly, there's no need for additional staff, which would make the food more expensive, as we say here... everything was good and we'd love to see you again. We were with you a few days ago and received very friendly service - you can truly be proud of your team - that's not a given these days. The food is a 5***** in terms of price-performance ratio!! Very delicious throughout. Keep it up! The location and "coziness factor" are also 5***** Great tables, and your "stage" is a real eye-catcher. Reading through your reviews, it's extraordinary that you dedicate yourself to each review - RESPECT!!! Keep it up, it's unique!! You offer some innovative themes and keep up with the times. We chose the beach house because I have to follow a gluten-free diet. The staff was knowledgeable and always able to answer questions reliably. The food was delicious, and there was a wide selection. Our child also enjoyed it. The gluten-free cheese spaetzle was a highlight! For dessert, we had gluten-free brownies.

Haben nach 1 1/2 Jahren mal wieder das Strandhaus besucht, waren davor regelmäßig Gäste im Restaurant. Das Essen ist immer noch super und von toller Qualität nur enttäuscht hat uns das Ganz rund herum. Das Speisenangebot hat merklich abgenommen, man bekommt nun einen Piepser zum Selberabholen des Essens. Die guten Schorle vom Lindauer Saft gibt es leider auch nicht mehr, und als Dessert gibt es lediglich einen Schokobrownie oder eben Eis aus dem Supermarkt. Da sind wir noch was ganz anderes gewohnt, wenn man an die mega lecken und toll angerichteten Desserts von vor einigen Jahren sich zurück erinnert. Da wir gerade eben in der Gegend waren, fanden wir den Besuch im Strandhaus ok aber im Großen und Ganzen waren wir einfach enttäuscht und würden nun nicht, wie die Jahre davor, extra nach Lindau fahren um dort Essen zu gehen.

Wir haben einen schönen Abend anlässlich unseres Hochzeitstages genossen, zu dem sogar unser Tisch zur Feier des Tages etwas besonderer eingedeckt wurde. Das Essen vom Grill/Smoker hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt, die Preise empfinden wir als angemessen für die qualitativ guten, regionalen Produkte und der Service ist absolut freundlich und schnell. Wir kommen gerne wieder - Vielen Dank an das Team vom Strandhaus!

We didn't have a reservation, but we were lucky that something just became available. The next people were less fortunate, so a reservation is always better. We sat directly across from the chef and were able to watch him prepare the food. That was one of the highlights of the evening. We had pulled pork, and it was simply delicious. A moist brownie for dessert, and my world was right. Thanks to the team and their chef. Keep up the good work. ❤️

Ein sehr nettes Restaurant mit hervorragender Küche. Das Essen kam relativ schnell und hat sehr gut geschmeckt - Lachs aus dem Smoker. Die Atmosphäre ist entspannt, das Personal nett und freundlich und der Service ist gut. Wenn wir wieder in Lindau, werden wir definitiv hier wieder essen gehen.

I went for a "boys' night" with my three grown sons! The grill platter for four people we ordered, complete with side dishes and vegetables, was absolutely amazing! My favorite was definitely the spare ribs! The server was super friendly and very attentive! We'd love to come back!

This is our second time here. Since we're still on vacation at Park Camping Lindau for another week, we'll definitely be back one or two more times... Super delicious food, short wait times, fantastic service (especially the courteous and incredibly nice lady). Highly recommended and worth a dozen visits! :)

I can highly recommend the Strandhaus. You can tell by the taste how much love goes into making the food. It's absolutely delicious. Just the thought of the brisket or the pulled pork makes my mouth water. They do a small menu, but since the remodel, I've been a little dissatisfied with the price/performance ratio. I used to go home full, and now I either order something for a reasonable price or eat something at home. I once had a bit of everything, meaning 1x smocked chicken, 1 slice of brisket that was then halved again, not even a centimeter thick, and half a ladle of pulled pork, and half of that spare ribs, half again, for a hefty €32. If the portions were larger without a side dish, I'd be willing to give it 5 stars instead of 4, because the food tastes truly fabulous. P.S. I've heard from several people that the portions are too small, and many people don't come back because of it.

First of all, I have to say I love your food, everything is homemade and regional, what more could you want, but now comes the big but. For spare ribs without a side dish, €17.90. Brisket, cut from one slice, then halved again, less than 1 cm thick, €19.60, again without a side dish. The pulled pork, €18, is a ladleful (if that) without a side dish! In my opinion, these are outrageous prices for self-service. I really love your food, but I don't know in what world that's justified. When I go out to eat somewhere, I want to say at the end: that was amazing food, oh man, I'm full, and not only that, it was amazing food. You leave €110 with tip and have to go home hungry and eat something there. I find that disrespectful in my eyes. You're great, you make amazing BBQ, but please make sure the portions are bigger so people don't go home hungry anymore.

The food was okay but overpriced in our opinion. Salmon and pulled pork, four glasses of wine, and one bottle of water cost €95. We had a reservation and were shown in, but there were only four tables occupied in the restaurant. So, there would have been plenty of space. Of course, that could have been intentional, to give the impression that it was something special. Unfortunately, it isn't. What really bothered us was that you have to bring the food to your table yourself.

We were here two evenings in a row. The pulled pork and spare ribs are amazing. The casual and relaxed atmosphere is exactly our thing, and we felt very comfortable. The entire team is upbeat, on the ball, and always has a joke on their lips. We'll combine our next Lake Constance vacation with a visit here again.

I also had delicious gluten-free cheese spaetzle. The food was high quality, and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. We always enjoy coming back for dinner!

wundervolle location mit sensationellem BBQ. ohne übertreibung die besten ribs die ich jemals gegessen habe. auch das pulled pork eine klasse für sich! schade dass das angebot bissi eingeschränkt wurde (steaks) aber grösstes lob wie der chef mit kritik diesbzgl. (KRITIK! kein gemecker!) umgeht und sich umfassend äussert. das ist nicht selbstverständlich und muss erwähnt werden! die parksituation bissi tricky, aber auch das wurde spürbar verbessert! wir kommen wieder, versprochen!

The restaurant is always empty except for 2-3 tables, but reservations are only available on a waiting list? And closed on Saturdays after Ascension Day when the campsite is full?? Strange concept.

Google asks if anyone can recommend the place. If it were just about the food, I'd immediately say yes. The flavors are balanced and well-made. The owner knows how to grill and smoke. Now for the but, and why I don't recommend it. 1. You have to make a reservation, which isn't necessarily possible on the day you arrive as a camper, because you don't automatically know. So you stand at the entrance, see dozens of empty tables (which are still empty after an hour), and are almost summarily chased away. Attempt number 2 with a reservation, which was on the waiting list. I went to the restaurant on suspicion, because I wasn't informed, as advertised, whether I'd stay on the waiting list or whether I'd get a table. Luckily, we got a table. 2. The food. Because we couldn't decide, we ordered two platters for two (one meat, one vegan). Drinks came quickly from the waiter. Why you then have to get your own food is beyond me. As I wrote, the food was very good 👍. But not enough for two people!! So I ordered more ribs, which you had to pick up yourself. These were also very good. 3. The bill. It came promptly after I asked for it, but it was still very high. €61 for the meal. I know places in Ingolstadt, Nuremberg, Munich, and Regensburg where you get more for that price and you don't even have to pick up your own food. Conclusion: The food is really good. But the rest of the food is simply not worth paying that much for!

I went to the Strandhaus this evening to order takeout. The waitress and the chef greeted me warmly. The spare ribs were amazing. The meat was so tender it fell off the bone. It tasted very good and juicy. The grilled vegetables were also excellent: well-seasoned, yet the individual flavors of the vegetables prevailed. The cheese spaetzle, a filling side dish, were also good. The portion sizes were nice. Thanks, everyone was great. I'd be happy to go again.

We arrived at the beach house very hungry and got the last available table, so it's best to reserve in advance. The entire team was exceptionally professional, and despite the stress—all tables were occupied—everyone was very friendly. There were no long waits for drinks, and the food was excellent. We immediately reserved a table for the next day.

Dear Strandhaus Team, Please understand these lines as honest feedback and not mere criticism. Instead of simply saying nothing and staying away in the future, we would like to give you open feedback on the changes of the past few years. Before the coronavirus pandemic, we regularly – and very happily – enjoyed your legendary Friday buffets with friends. Back then, we particularly appreciated not only the extensive selection, but also the special moments surrounding the preparation: the speeches, anecdotes, and little anecdotes from the grill chef himself – all of this shaped the evening and made it a true experience. We had a great time, and the price level was absolutely right for us as guests from Switzerland. Of course, we are aware that the restaurant industry has changed and that you – especially after the challenges of the past few years – have had to adjust your prices. Nevertheless, the special flair of earlier days seems to have been somewhat lost. What was once worth a trip across the border now seems more like an ordinary evening in a restaurant – nice, but no longer special. We miss the old barbecue buffet event with its showmanship and the personality that the chef himself brought to the table. Perhaps a way can be found in the future to bring back that special character – it would be very much appreciated. Best wishes from Switzerland The Foodbabies and co.

Lieber Klaus Winter und Team, im Zuge unseres 5-tögigen Urlaubs habe ich meinem Mann einen großen Wunsch zum Geburtstag erfüllt und bei euch reserviert. Es war ein toller Abend. Unser Tisch war schön dekoriert. Unser Essen, Briketts und Pulled Pork mit Grillkartoffeln war hervorragend, wir erhielten noch einen kleinen Nachtisch. Das Ambiente ist klasse, die Damen vom Service ebenso. Ich weiß nicht warum sich manche dran stören das Essen am Tresen abzuholen, ist für uns kein Thema, die Getränke werden ja serviert. Danke für das Foto mit Klaus. Für uns war es ein besonderer Abend, 400 km Anreise haben sich gelohnt Danke für den schönen Abend.

We ate here with friends. The online reservation worked perfectly. I think the concept is fantastic. The decor is great. The food is beautifully presented and tastes excellent. Only the salad was a bit unimaginative, and the salad dressing could have been better. Hence only 4 stars. Otherwise, it's top-notch.

Unfortunately a disappointment! We were here with our children and were hoping to have a good meal. Unfortunately the food was cold and dry (possibly from the day before?), the portions were small and the prices were far too high. The only thing that was really tasty were the fries. Unfortunately, our children found the cocktails watery, but the wine was good. The self-service wasn't exactly ideal either. Overall, we unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant. There will be no further visit.

"Disappointing food! I was in this restaurant yesterday and I have to say that unfortunately the food did not meet my expectations. The food was served cold, the meat was dry and unseasoned. I can very well imagine that the meat was from the day before! The portions were very small, which is really disappointing considering the expensive prices you pay here. It is also incomprehensible why self-service is offered at these prices. At such prices you expect decent service and not that you have to serve yourself. Overall, unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant. The quality of the food and service are simply not good enough to justify the high prices.

There were two of us and we both had burgers, one with salmon and the other with pulled pork. The pulled pork costs €20 without side dishes and the salmon costs €17. My girlfriend also had a salad with it. I didn't do it because an additional €6.90 was too much for me. The burger was "good standard" the meat was a bit too dry and the salmon also received heat for too long. In terms of taste, the "spice" was missing here, it simply tasted too bland, for the price that shouldn't be the case, and on top of that you are only served with drinks, for the food you have to order and pick up the food yourself from the "outdoor kitchen". In terms of portion size, it wasn't enough for me. I finished the burger in 6 minutes and unfortunately I was still hungry. It would be nice to have a side dish with it, otherwise if I had had salad and fries as usual, I would have come to €30 with a burger. Then there is still no drink!! So here I have to say; that from our point of view price performance does not fit!! But the staff is very friendly and nice.

Wir waren nun zum 3. mal im Strandhaus und leider war es nicht so wie die letzten beiden Besuche. Jetzt wird das Essen an der Theke bestellt und auch abgeholt. Getränke werden am Tisch serviert. Nun ein neues Konzept mit dem man Leben kann. Sehr kleine Karte bei der alles einzeln bestellt werden muss so wie man es gerne hätte. Aber das Essen war leider gar nicht nach unseren Vorstellungen. Wir hatten 3 x Spareribs leider viel zu fettig und der Geschmack hat leider auch gefehlt. 1 x das Hühnchen das war in Ordnung allerdings wenn man Hunger hat viel zu wenig da hätte man bei der Bestellung darauf hinweisen können das eine Portion Pommes dazu vielleicht nicht reichen könnte. Alles in allem stimmt das Preis Leistungsverhältnis für uns nicht.

Hallo Strandhaus Team, Ihr habt unser diesjähriges Camping Kickoff sensationell abgerundet. Trotz einiger Negativbewertungen nach umstellen des Konzeptes wollten Monika und ich uns doch selber einen Eindruck machen. Wir kamen fast wie immer kurzfristig und unangemeldet auf die Idee zu essen. Die junge Dame am Empfang begrüßte uns freundlich und bot uns tatsächlich im vollbesetzten Pagodenzelt dem letzten verfügbaren Tisch an. Vis-a-vis vom Grilltresen saßen wir dann sehr gut um dem Treiben von Herrn Winter und Team zuzuschauen. Die Karte ist zwar klein aber sehr toll gewählt. Die Getränke kamen sofort Das ausgesuchte Essen (1xLachs u. 1x Pulled Pork) kamen fast zeitgleich sehr toll angerichtet. Die Speisen waren auf den Punkt top zubereitet, kleiner Kritikpunkt für zwei gestandene Eifeler gefühlt etwas wenig, soll aber nur ganz ganz kleine Kritik sein. Kann das Strandhsus in neuem Ykonzept jedem nur empfehlen der halbwegs bereit ist neue Wege mitzugehen. Ich wünsche Herrn Winterund seinem Team weiterhin viel Erfolg Nächstes Jahr sehen wir uns definitiv wieder so Gott will Gruß Monika und Guido. Cremer aus der Eifel

But we were disappointed with the food. Menu very small and everything has to be paid extra. Food was lukewarm and the spare ribs were just greasy and unfortunately tasteless. There is no comparison to our last visit. The price-performance ratio is not right here. The others at our table weren't happy either. The service was nice and friendly. Very nice restaurant. We had the BBQ buffet which was very tasty. The service was excellent. Price performance was right. We'll definitely come back again.

There were three of us at the Strandhaus Lindau today and we were very disappointed. In the pictures the food looked very good and plentiful, but unfortunately the reality was different. The portions of meat were really tiny and very expensive. You also have to buy each supplement for €5. Actually, at least one side dish comes with it for free. Then the food simply lacked pizzazz. But what we missed most were sauces. Every meat dish came completely blank. Here too, a sauce is simply a must. The grilled potatoes were very tasty, but a sour cream dip might be a good idea. However, the team was very friendly and dealt with our criticism well.

We have eaten at the beach house several times and have always received very friendly service (despite the full house)! The food (we usually went to the BBQ buffet on Friday) is always very tasty and with a good selection. Every now and then the boss comes to the table and asks how it tasted 😁. We can recommend this restaurant to everyone with a beautiful ambience, friendly staff and a great location.

This wasn't our first time at the beach house. This time with friends for the BBQ buffet. Spare ribs, pulled pork, salmon, BBQ chicken and braised beef are hard to beat! The side dishes of baked beans, grilled potatoes and grilled vegetables rounded off the buffet. The homemade BBQ sauces are a dream. For us it was delicious sex with a happy ending :-)...we'll be back!

Price-performance top. Really delicious BBQ style food. We didn't make a reservation on Maundy Thursday, the place was full and after about 10 minutes we still got a place (2 people). Basically self-service dining. Drinks and dessert are brought to the table. What to look out for: Next to the mayo and ketchup was BBQ seasoning, which is actually what is for sale. I thought it was a spice for seasoning and only realized afterwards that it was the house BBQ mix to take away. I said this when paying and I could choose whether I paid for the spice mixture and took it with me or left it there and didn't pay anything.

Great location, great concept! We had a meat platter and a vegetarian side platter. The meat platter was very well prepared. The pulled pork could be mashed with the Gsumen. The poultry, the spare ribs, perfectly seasoned, beautifully tender, and the lamb, a dream. Then I know why I am a meat eater. Price/performance very good. Please reserve!! Bon appetit 👍

Great service & the food tasted delicious.

It was super cozy to eat here; we have rarely been welcomed in such a friendly, cheerful and positive manner. Apart from the fact that the food was really excellent both times (we were there on the way there and back), you can just tell that people enjoy working here. Our dog was also given attention.

We sat in the main house. There is a pleasant beach house atmosphere there.

Especially good food, good service and the music on the 15th anniversary was 1.A

Prices have remained stable (which is saying something today!!) Your beach house stage with live music is particularly attractive.....WOW!!! Super happy again!!!!!
