We were at Wissingers for our wedding anniversary. Everything was perfect… a friendly welcome, a nice table. A clear yet balanced menu. Friendly staff. Excellent red wine. All the dishes were fresh, tasty, and prepared to perfection. Delicious desserts and an excellent digestif afterward. An all-around delicious culinary experience. We'll definitely be back… A little tip: be sure to reserve in advance, otherwise it might be tight for a table…

The four of us were there today, and we all left feeling very satisfied and pleasantly full. 3 x ox cheeks, 1 x goulash – in our opinion, Michelin-starred cuisine! Not enough for 5 stars. When the plate is extremely hot and the sauce sticks to it. Sorry. In a restaurant like this, I expect it to be kept hot. Not just made hot somehow. I can also explain the 3-star service. It took 42 minutes, and when asked how it tasted/if everything was okay... no one. The outdoor smoking ban even irritated non-smokers. But that's beside the point. As a guest, you didn't get the impression that you were valued. And that disappointed us. Sorry.

I ate at Wissingers with my mother today. We were thrilled by the excellent quality of the food, beautifully presented and served on warmed porcelain plates. The service was attentive and friendly. The prices are absolutely reasonable. A definite recommendation!!!!!

Highly recommended little restaurant in Lindau! The cheese spätzle were truly delicious. The pork cheek melted in your mouth. The staff were very friendly and tried to make us feel comfortable by speaking a little Italian. Prices were average for the place.

We had a very good dinner – ox cheeks and Allgäu schnitzel, with Kaiserschmarrn for dessert. We sat in the beer garden in the courtyard, which isn't quite finished yet. But that wasn't a problem. The food was very good and hot. The service was extremely friendly. All in all, highly recommended.

We visited Schlechter Bräu twice and alternated between salmon trout in almond butter with green asparagus and parsley potatoes and boiled beef with rösti and spinach (though this one isn't everyone's cup of tea). The food was well prepared, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere inside and outside was pleasant.

Very tasty food, very friendly and attentive staff, and a cozy beer garden. Our daughter recommended it to us, and we loved it. The prices are a bit high, but you get good quality for that. We highly recommend it.

The service is excellent, fast, and very attentive 🥰 Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with the food compared to last year. The roast beef with onions was cooked well, and the veal liver was far from pink. The gravy and mashed potatoes were very salty. Everything looked a bit sad on the plate. What a shame 😒

The beer is good, no question. You can have a good time there. But in my case, I had a table in the side room with no ambiance, and a construction site outside the window. The food was simply way too overpriced, but the portions were by no means filling at the superbly reasonable prices. For me, it was already too close to tourist rip-off. If you don't believe it, go in and order a small mixed salad (and drink a small Gold beer on tap).

What a find. We arrived just after they opened at 6pm… this was a good move as the place was full shortly after. Great service and food. I had the rib eye.. very, very good. My partner had chicken she said it was the best and so tender. Many beers to choose from.. I had the 4x selection again a great idea.. good beers. Very good vale restaurant.

At the beginning of April we had a big meeting in Wissinger. All I can say is it was perfect!!! The room was beautifully decorated and the waitress was so accommodating, something I've never experienced before. We were each presented with two wines and each of us was really carried on a silver platter. The 5 course menu was sensationally beautifully decorated on the plate!!! Each course was served and carried away as if by magic. You didn't even notice the person. Special requests were taken into account. So I give this classy restaurant 11 out of 5 stars. Note: There is a restaurant on the island at the harbor, we were there the day before (I don't want to mention the name) with a 5-course menu, aaabut that really only has its name in my opinion. The B... H... could take a big slice of the friendliness of everything and not rest on his name. Our boss first had to say that all the glasses were empty and that the waiter should please refill them. (I personally had the feeling that he also enjoyed the good wine.) Dear people, if you are having a party then I can recommend Wissinger. Reservation wouldn't be bad.

Der Service war gut, aber ich fand es etwas teuer. Mein Mann hatte einen Burger, der war etwas trocken! Ich hatte Salat mit Hähnchenbrust, das war lecker. Getränke waren auch teuer.

Restaurant is rated quite well, but the food was average. We expected more.

The reception is friendly and professional. We are escorted from the bar to the table. The service is reserved and attentive. The steak we ordered has a nice consistency, is cooked exactly medium and is presented well on the wooden plate. When entering the code on the payment machine, the service specialist takes a step back. The prices are reasonable. An all-round pleasant dining experience.

Very good food. Rib eye steak & onion roast were both on point. Meat quality very good!

A little more applesauce would be beneficial with the Kaiserschmarrn. Otherwise it was pretty dry.

The first thing I have to point out in this post is that this restaurant is not called Wissingers, but rather KHANA KAZANA and an Indian restaurant. The food was delicious, with lots of flavors and the service was as courteous as it is rare today. We'd love to come back.

Amazing brewpub/biergarten/restaurant in Insel Lindau!! For the beer, went with the Wissingers Dunkel and Insulator Bock. Both were top rate and most importantly... local!! Had beef goulash yesterday at Hofbrauhaus and went with it again here. Very delicious!! I hear it rains here a lot but will be back later if the biergarten is open. Highly recommended!!

Very friendly service, good beer. The food, I had the ox cheeks, the flagship of the house and I have to say for €25 a good portion with celery puree, cherry tomatoes and a great sauce. A spoonful would have been enough to make the butter so tender. Always my pleasure. These are these almost forgotten dishes that are simply worth bringing back to life. I love stews.

Despite being seated, I couldn't place an order after 10 minutes, so I can't say anything about the food. The "place" at the bar was next to the toilet and very dark, not suitable for eating either.

We were here on August 16th, 2024. At first everything was fine, the beer garden was full of guests until the waitress suddenly told us in an unfriendly manner that space was now getting tight and that our table would be reserved in 10 minutes and we had to pay and leave Our table was neither reserved nor marked with a reservation time in any way. It was an absolute disgrace to treat the guests like that. We'll never come here again, that's for sure.

Der schattige Garten war angenehm aber das Essen war bis auf die Kartoffeln ungeniessbar: Die Matjes Hausfrauenart extrem salzig; schade um den Fisch. Die Remoulade war total pampig und schmeckte nur nach Mayonnaise. Das Schlimmste war aber der Salat, der mit einer grässlichen schweren Sauce ertränkt wurde. Ok, die Geschmäcker sind verschieden und an so einem Ort erwarte ich keine kulinarischen Höhenflüge. Aber wenn ich gefragt werde, wie das Essen war - von dem wir höchstens einen Viertel assen - gebe ich ein ehrliches Feedback. Da brauche ich nicht, dass die Servicekraft zu diskutieren anfängt und uns zu belehren, dass es allen anderen schmecken würde. Nie wieder!!!!

Away from the crowds you will find this cozy beer garden with delicious food and organized service...so we can only recommend it.

Traditional and delicious food.

The food (Ochsenbäckchen & Kaiserschmarn) was excellent, the service was quick with the house full, but no changes were made. (change of inserts) We both wanted Kaiserschmarn for dessert, one with raisins and one without. Apparently that didn't work. How do they do that with an odd number of orders at one table? Unfortunately, this and the really noisy atmosphere put a damper on our visit.

Saw the advertisement for ox cheeks in the morning....cooked for 48 hours. It was immediately decided that we would have dinner here in the evening. As a starter we ordered Allgäu cheese soup with ginger and chili. Main courses were the ox cheeks and the Wiener schnitzel with fries. Plus two side salads. Everything was simply excellent. The ox cheeks are a poem☺️. To drink we hit the beer tasting board. 5 different home-brewed beers. One better than the other. Overall it can't be better. Friendly staff rounded off our dinner. Rating ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDED

Wir waren mit Freunden im Wissingers (10 Personen) und haben im Voraus reserviert. Das Essen war wirklich gut, der Service aber schlecht. Nach der Bestellung haben wir 55 Minuten auf das Essen gewartet! Wir werden nicht wieder hingehen.

Beautiful garden area in the middle of the old town, protected by hedges. I particularly liked the fact that smoking is also prohibited outside. Attractive menu, including vegetarian/vegan dishes. Friendly service and all in all a good value for money.

A good middle-class restaurant with a nice selection of dishes. Unfortunately, fries taste like fat, schnitzel is great, falafels are delicious. Nice atmosphere and the two twin sisters' service is also particularly fast. My food was on the wrong table for 5 minutes and then was served to me. It doesn't work at all.

Just delicious. The cuisine of this restaurant deserves its excellent rating. We had a great time and the backyard terrace was ideal during the hot weather. If I come back to Kindia, I will definitely stay there again.

The Wissingers is a very nice family-run restaurant. On the island of Lindau there is a very beautiful indoor area and also a beautiful outdoor area.

The food here is really very good. A big negative point, however, is that the waitresses are not child-friendly at all, at least for us. People looked at you annoyed when you arrived and a waitress kept coming and telling the children what they shouldn't do or touch. So here the children have to sit still on the chair. Of course, the situation made the visit even more stressful for the parents. Children are definitely not allowed to be children here. We are from Lindau ourselves, but that was our last visit here. Very unfortunate.

Went here for lunch with a wedding party. Friendly welcome and service. Fine, beautifully seasoned dishes. You can really recommend everything here. We had onion roast, ox cheeks, vegan potato stew, Angus beef with fries. The fries are the best we've had in a long time. Mega crispy and not too salty. The mixed salad and the Maultaschen soup were also delicious. The prices are really fair for the Lake Constance region. The portions are also such that you fill up well. We'll definitely come back when we're nearby :-)

Love this place! Food was great. It was raining so we couldn't sit in the beer garden, but it didn't matter. The dining room was lovely and cozy on a stormy, summer night.
