Onkel Toms Burger in Lindau (Bodensee)

Leider eine Enttäuschung, gerade bei diesem Preisniveau. Die Allgäuer Kässpätzle (18 €) kamen mit einer sahnigen Käsesauce – in originale Kässpätzle gehört keine Sahne, die Cremigkeit muss vom geschmolzenen Bergkäse kommen. Auf der Karte wird die Sahne nicht erwähnt. Das Kalbsschnitzel (27 €) hat mich ebenfalls nicht überzeugt: dicke, kompakte Panade wie aus der Fritteuse, das Fleisch grobfaserig und dunkel – nicht das, was ich von einem Kalbsschnitzel in dieser Preisklasse erwarte. Für 45 € ohne Getränke hätte ich deutlich mehr Qualität und Authentizität erwartet, zumal das Haus mit traditioneller, frischer Regionalküche wirbt. Schade.

Waren gestern als Gruppe von 13 Personen dort zum Abendessen. Sehr netter Service. Getränke etc. kamen sehr schnell. Die Speisekarte bietet eine gute Auswahl an Speisen. Hier wird jeder fündig, von der Vesperplatte bis zu Spare Rips ist alles dabei. Essen hat allen geschmeckt, einzig die Pommes waren leider etwas fad. Großer Pluspunkt. Es war gestern sehr warm und es wurden durchgehend Gläser mit Eiswürfel an den Tisch gestellt. Das gibt es sehr selten. Würde jederzeit wieder hingehen.

Das Schnitzel ist ein Fertigprodukt und kommt aus der Fritteuse. Der Kartoffelsalat war sicher aus dem Topf und schon älter. Und das Bier war warm. Also alles ein Reinfall.

Essen entsprach leider nicht unserer Vorstellung. Wir hatten aufgrund der bisherigen Rezensionen hohe Erwartungen, daher empfanden wir das Essen durchschnittlich bis nicht gut.

Gleicht eher einen Imbissessen. Leider nicht so gut wie erhofft.

Wir fanden die Preisleistung gut, uns hat das Essen und die Getränke geschmeckt. Fußball WM wird auf einem Fernseher übertragen.

Unfreundlicher Empfang, Gastfreundschaft scheint in diesem Restaurant ein Fremdwort zu sein.

Leider kann ich keine positive Bewertung geben, da wir sehr unfreundlich und mit wedelden Händen und üblen Gemurmel empfangen wurden...weil wir unsere Fahrräder, an dem Tisch gestellt haben wo wir sitzen wollten (ein Tisch weiter hatten Gäste auch ihre Räder so abgestellt)....Wir haben keinen behindert und unsere Fahrräder weg gestellt....Wenn es nicht gewünscht ist, kann man es in einem anderen Ton und vor allem freundlich sagen....Sehr arrogant der Kellner...wir haben uns dann gegenüber gesetzt und sehr gerne dort unser Geld gelassen und wurden auch noch sehr nett empfangen

Essen war durchschnittlich, die Käsespätzle waren leider nur lauwarm.

Wir wären hier gerne zum Essen eingekehrt. Leider wurde unsere Gruppe (4 Erwachsene und 6 Kinder) abgelehnt, mit der Ausrede alles sei reserviert. Obwohl 2/3 der Plätze frei war. Sehr unfreundliche Aufnahme, hätte gerne eine positive Rezension geschrieben.

Hier gab es ein tolles Mittagessen. Ein super Lokal, und obwohl es voll war, war der Service hervorragend.

Wir waren mit der Familie im Wirtshaus und haben den Aufenthalt genossen. Der Service war aufmerksam und freundlich, das Essen top. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Schönes Lokal im Zentrum von Lindau. Freundliches und sehr hilfsbereites Personal. Die Gerichte waren reichhaltig und sehr lecker: Wir bestellten Kasspätzle (typische Käse-Salat-Knödel), Spareribs (Schweinekoteletts mit Sauerkraut und Süßkartoffeln) und einen ausgezeichneten Rotwein aus der Region. Faire Preise. Wir haben eine ausgezeichnete Wahl getroffen.

Ein echtes Highlight für Zöliakie-Betroffene! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wir waren auf der Suche nach sicheren glutenfreien Speisen und sind hier auf die glutenfreien Burger gestoßen – ein absoluter Glücksgriff! Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Thema Sicherheit: Das Servicepersonal war bestens informiert und versicherte uns proaktiv eine kontaminationsfreie Zubereitung. Das Wichtigste aber: Auch nach dem Verzehr traten keinerlei Probleme auf, was die Sorgfalt der Küche bestätigt. Der Service war insgesamt: • Sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. • Zuvorkommend bei allen Rückfragen. • Kompetent im Umgang mit speziellen Ernährungsanforderungen. Wer auf Gluten verzichten muss und trotzdem Lust auf einen richtig guten Burger ohne Reue hat, ist hier genau richtig. Wir kommen definitiv wieder! Unser Tipp an den Betreiber: wir sind nur über die Google Bewertungen auf die glutenfreien Burger gestoßen. Es wäre toll wenn diese Option auf der Homepage und der Speisekarte auch vermerkt wäre.

Gemütlich, lecker und zöliakie-freundlich Tolles Ambiente, freundlicher Service und eine Küche, die auch Zöliakie-Betroffene begeistert: Die glutenfreien Burger sind ein echter Genuss, und das Personal weiß bestens über Zöliakie Bescheid. So kann man entspannt und sorglos essen. Dazu stimmt auch noch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Absolut empfehlenswert für alle!

Endlich konnte ich mal ein Schnitzel ohne Schweinefleisch probieren – das Putenschnitzel ist echt lecker!!! Das Lillet Wild Berry war erfrischend und die Atmosphäre einfach herrlich entspannt in der Sonne :-)

Ich war vor Kurzem im Onkel Toms Wirtshaus und bin wirklich begeistert! Die Lage mitten in der Altstadt von Lindau ist einfach top und sorgt direkt für eine tolle Atmosphäre. Das Essen war super lecker – man merkt, dass alles frisch zubereitet wird und die Qualität stimmt absolut. Besonders die regionalen Gerichte und Burger sind sehr zu empfehlen. Auch der Service war freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell. Die Preise sind vielleicht etwas höher, aber für die Qualität definitiv gerechtfertigt. Insgesamt ein richtig gemütliches Wirtshaus mit tollem Ambiente – ich komme gerne wieder! 🍻

Ich bin dieses Jahr wiedergekommen und freue mich darauf, traditionelle bayerische Gerichte zu probieren. Ich hatte eine sehr schöne Erfahrung. Ich habe auch Essen zum Mitnehmen bestellt. Ich bin froh, dass es dich gibt.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Zu den Pommes bekommt man Mayo und Ketchup einfach genial auch die Burger, Hammer. Schneller Service, dauert nicht sehr lange. Ambiente schön.

In der Sonne genossen wir Almduler und köstliche Putenschnitzel mit Kartoffelsalat. Zum Nachtisch gab’s einen sehr lecken Kaiserschmarr’n. Die Bedingung war super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ich kann jedem wärmstens empfehlen hier zu essen!

The staff went out of their way to find us a table despite us not having a reservation. The staff were very polite, the food was delicious and arrived promptly. We felt completely at ease.

The spare ribs were delicious, lots of meat, and very juicy and tender. The burger was also excellent. The service was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is beautiful, old, and charming.

Unfortunately, it didn't taste good at all; it was clearly mass-produced and of poor quality. The potato salad probably came from a large plastic bucket as well. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, but I ordered the Caserian salad, and I've never had such a sad salad. It consisted of green lettuce leaves, a few slices of cucumber, and about a package of Parmesan cheese on top with some kind of dressing... I can't recommend this salad; I wouldn't dare serve something like that if I were the owner.

Excellent gluten-free burgers! I don't eat meat and am gluten intolerant. The vegetarian burgers contain gluten – the staff was incredibly accommodating and quickly found a solution. Thank you so much! All the food was of very high quality.

We both had the veal schnitzel for lunch. Unfortunately, the meat was tough and tasted of old fat—a shame considering the price was almost €30 per meal. The fries, however, were decent, and the service was very friendly.

A really great place with lots of flair and very friendly service. There's a large outdoor area with plenty of seating. The food was good. We both had burgers. It's worth noting that the burgers were cooked well. They came with a bun. The price/performance ratio is reasonable. Overall, I can recommend the place. If you're near Lake Constance, you'll definitely find something delicious here.

I expected more...we ordered a veal cutlet with fries and sausage. The cutlet (€26.50) arrived in two pieces, one of which was quite tough (it looked like leftovers). My husband's dish was neither good nor bad. In the end, we paid less given the bad impression they made. The only positive note is the (Italian) staff, who are truly very kind.

My wife and I wanted something traditional. After looking at many Bavarian restaurants, but many of them weren't fully booked, we came across this place with a terrace full of customers and thought it had to be good. I wasn't expecting that with my wife, when the waiter, a bald guy who seemed to be in charge, spoke to us in German, then in English. After explaining that we were Italian, he started speaking to us in Italian. We weren't expecting such a nice atmosphere and such a good atmosphere with the customers. Even if you're a foreigner, you feel at home. Plus, the food tastes good and is of high quality, and the service is top-notch. Comparing many regions of Italy, I can honestly say we weren't expecting such a wonderful evening. We give the place 5 stars.

I don't understand how people don't look at the sign that says "we'll bring you to your table." Many customers enter the terrace avoiding the sign. We are polite and know how to read. We are led to the table in the blink of an eye. This is where the beauty begins for any tourist who wants to experience peace on vacation. The waiter speaks a little Portuguese and I feel like I'm on vacation. Everything is calm with the terrace full, a pleasant atmosphere. Then the food arrives, which did not disappoint us. The ribs are unique. My wife and I liked everything.

As a local, I've walked by every now and then, but now I've finally gone in. It's really good, home-style cooking. The currywurst was a dream, and my wife's schnitzel was also perfect. The burgers are also amazing, some of them almost too big :D. The service was super attentive and friendly. We certainly won't be eating there again! :)

I've rarely been served such a miserable meal! The "colorful farmer's salad with herb dressing and grilled chicken strips" had neither color nor (despite an intensive search) even a hint of herbs in the advertised herb dressing. The chicken strips were anything but grilled. The turkey schnitzel was frozen and drowned in fat in the deep fryer. The spare ribs advertised on the menu weren't available, apparently because there wasn't a delivery. From my experience with the restaurant, the spare ribs have probably never been available... Because who would prepare them?? The "crowning feature" were the sanitary facilities! I don't want to know what the kitchen looks like.... It was also noticeable that the selection of guests was very deliberate. Requests from people who just wanted a drink were turned away because everything was "reserved." Suddenly, a seat was available for well-heeled guests! What they're doing here is absolutely terrible, and I can only advise everyone not to visit this place. It's a shame they can't give negative stars.

The food was okay, but nothing special. Unfortunately, there was so much smoking outside that the taste was spoiled anyway. This gets a minus point because the owners don't do anything about this smoke nuisance.

Don't bother with the burgers here. They use frozen patties, the bacon is undercooked, and the portion of fries is big enough for a 2 year old.

Excellent Bavarian cuisine and local specialties. The Italian staff is very professional and friendly. The location is beautiful; we recommend eating inside. I personally recommend the Bavarian meatballs and the Meckatzer Weizen beer.

If you're looking for something a bit more touristy and want to try a light snack, this is the place for you. Plenty of Bavarian/Alpine cuisine. Delicious beer from Meckatzer. Good quality. The Maultaschen (swabian pasta) and mashed potatoes are among the few vegetarian options, but they tasted very good.

We were there today. We would have liked an Aperol and a beer. We were rudely asked to leave around 3 p.m. in the pouring rain because the seating outside is reserved for diners only.

We ate here last week. According to the GM, we were looking for the burger place here and couldn't find it. But the bill said Onkel Toms Wirtshaus (Uncle Tom's Wirtshaus). As for the food, we were very, very satisfied. If we were ever in the area again, we would eat here again. We didn't have a burger, but a regional dish, plus something for the kids.

Great food, and extremely tender meat (I've never eaten such tender roast pork). Optionally, ask for the extra room for up to 6 people if you want some peace and quiet, but otherwise, the ambiance is very nice.
