Best view of the sea and the big ships. Very nice service, although occasionally self-service. But that's okay. Best place ever. 😊 I'm already really looking forward to the coming season!

Actually, a very nice place. Great look, great location, good selection of drinks and food, prices a bit higher, you do pay for the view...that was the good thing...I walked into the place the day before yesterday and was approached by a young snob with a mustache, asking if I didn't know the time of day or if I was completely lacking in etiquette. I briefly told him that I always use the time of day, and I belong to the generation who were still taught greetings and the time of day (born in 1963). I then told him that it could certainly have been a misunderstanding on his part, but there was no further reaction or apology. The other bar staff were all nice and friendly...that's not how you treat guests...apparently, he lacks the "basic etiquette."

Always happy to stop by for a drink and a small snack.

The food is very tasty 😋 and the cappuccino is great.

We've been there several times, and each time we've had a great time. It wouldn't really be a problem, if the prices weren't too high for me. The place thrives on its really great location, but I can get a beer and a fish sandwich cheaper elsewhere.

We always enjoy coming back when we're in Cuxhaven. Everyone is very friendly, the view is amazing, and sometimes there's live music....the restrooms are clean too. We like it, and we'll be back!! You have to try it!! The greatest bartender in the world: "UFUK" Thanks for the umbrella ☂️☔

Unfortunately, as a guest, unless you're known by name, you're ignored for quite some time at the table. This didn't happen under the previous owner. It's a shame. As a Cuxhaven resident, I won't be coming here again.

You can sit comfortably there and enjoy the North Sea or the mudflats, whatever mudflats are there! Friendly service and delicious drinks.

We sat at the bayside shack and enjoyed the sea. It's a great atmosphere and right by the sea 😁

We spontaneously had dinner here and were more than satisfied! It was delicious and the view was breathtaking! We'll be back on our next vacation!

The food and drinks are good. The view of Grimmershörn Bay is a dream. The service is terrible. You wait forever, and you're insulted if you complain.

You have to wait a very long time for one condition here! We would have consumed a lot more but moved on. Other guests were also ignored and left. What a pity!

It was actually quite good. Unfortunately, the staff was unavailable, so only 4 stars. Everything was a bit slow. It can happen.

A lovely little bar on Cuxhaven's promenade. We stumbled upon it by chance during a rain shower and immediately felt at home. The cakes are fresh and delicious. We won't only stop here when it rains ;-)).

We happened to pass by on our bikes and stopped for a bit. Super friendly staff, freshly prepared food, clean, and of course, a beautiful view. We'll definitely stop there again on our next vacation!

A wonderful place to stop for a drink. The young man who served us ranged from cool to cheeky. Furthermore, the second beer wasn't warm, and the Aperol Spritz wasn't delivered, but it was on the bill.

We visited this beach bar for the first time yesterday and were very satisfied. Despite the crowds and the hustle and bustle, the service was attentive and very friendly. The food (we had herring sandwiches and vegetable pinsa) was delicious, as was the beer :)) The view is fantastic, and the atmosphere is great, too. Highly recommended.

Well, I can't agree with the previous review. We were there last night and there was a sign saying "Self-Service Today," so it was clear that you'd have to take care of it yourself. Which worked out perfectly. The food was delicious and the price/performance ratio was good in my opinion. We'll be eating there again tonight. Regards, Marco Weckes

I wanted to end my vacation in Cuxhaven with an Aperol. When I arrived at the Buchtbude at 8:30 p.m., they wanted to serve me the drink in a plastic cup, as all the glasses had already been washed due to the small number of customers and the restaurant was apparently planning to close soon. I gladly declined. What a shame 😕

We didn't try the food. The only place for miles around where you can get Deichinger beer. It's a lovely location on the grassy beach, 5 minutes from the Lotsenviertel district.

Unfortunately, disappointing service at the Buchtbude Despite repeated reminders that we'd like to order, we were ignored for a long time. They said "someone would be right there," but even after 30 minutes, no one came to our table. We finally got our drinks ourselves from the bar – unfortunately, they weren't even chilled. Given the prices, you'd expect at least friendly service and chilled drinks. Unfortunately, the visit didn't leave a good impression.

It's all in the tone... Unfriendly and impolite... Unfortunately unforgivable. No thanks 👎!

We went there for the first time today and were extremely pleasantly surprised. The young waiter (possibly the boss) was extremely attentive, courteous, friendly, and knows his job. High praise for that, as I come from the restaurant industry myself (over 30 years of professional experience). There's nothing, absolutely nothing, to complain about in terms of the food. Of course, tastes differ, but you have to keep things in perspective. The young man was also extremely friendly with other guests; everyone placed their orders, and he had everything under control. As you can see, I'm thrilled, which is rare. Guests quickly started chatting to each other. You can't always write positive things, so I'm giving it a tiny minus point! = If the other employees were exactly the same, it would be 5 points for service. Location, price, management, ambience = top notch. We'll definitely be back.

Eight commandments of the Buchteln (bay stall), and unfriendliness is probably the ninth. While they do not use paper cups for their ice cream for environmental reasons, what's the point of publishing a PDF list of allergens if the gluten-free ice cream isn't offered in alternatives like cardboard or glass? Instead, the blunt answer: waffle cups or nothing at all. Thanks.

This was our third time in Cuxhaven. My wife drank several Aporol Spritzes at the beach bars, some of which were premixed or even watery. At the Bucht Bude, she drank two at different times and rated these the best. Freshly prepared with great joy and the best tasting.

A complete disaster, completely overwhelmed and extremely unfriendly. Last year was a completely different league.

Looks nice from the outside to stop in for a drink. We ordered a rum grog for €5. What we were served was really a joke: lightly flavored tap water in a coffee cup. No Klüntje sugar, just white sugar from bags. In response to our complaint, and to the service's credit, rum was poured without any problems. It was claimed that there had already been 4cl in there before... A joke!

Once again we took us to Grimmershörner Bay in the best weather. And of course to our favorite place, the Buchtbude! And lucky you, because today was the last day before the winter break until April 2025! It will be a disappointment for guests who are looking for Aldi or Tedi restaurants here: a business that can make sales around 6 months in front of the dike and has to move everything (in words WITH EVERYTHING) behind the dike for the rest of the year has different costs than a bakery branch and therefore justifiably does not have discount prices here. We have never had anything to complain about when it comes to food and drinks here. But what really draws us here again and again is the always friendly staff! So: Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and see you again in April 2025!!!

I can't judge because I haven't visited the restaurant. But it looks very appealing from the outside and was also very well attended.

To find it beautiful here you have to be very influenced by holiday feelings. Juicy prices for average food at best. And that’s self-service. Ambience rustic to loveless. The view of the sea only helps to a limited extent. Nothing for us.

Is a beach bar on Grimmershörnerbucht in Cuxhaven. The service is very friendly and attentive. The ambience is really great when the weather is nice and you can sit outside.

Very fresh and delicious food with great service right on the beach

I have had another residence in Cuxhaven for several years. On my bike tours I pass the cafe in Grimmershoerner Bay several times a week. Fantastic view, and you can meet interesting people here, meeting point! There were strong winds and floods here in August 2024. This pushed the water up onto the walking and cycling path.

Very cool shop where we really enjoyed our Jever for breakfast. Very nice staff who also gave us a voucher for the Sturmflut store on Deichstrasse. We'll definitely be back because the scrambled eggs with crabs looked extremely tasty.

Great location right on the dike! Here you can relax and enjoy the view of the sea! But then there should be a delicious fish sandwich and a freshly tapped Jever! That's how it can be endured! The staff is very friendly and attentive! I can fully recommend a visit! We will definitely come back next time we are in Cuxhaven!!!

Went to the bay booth today. Wanted to end the lovely evening with a drink. The waitress took our order very quickly..... Then we waited 25 minutes for our drinks. The guests who came after us got their drinks within 10 minutes.... After waiting 30 minutes, we got up and left.... We then had something to drink and even eat at our favorite Greek restaurant.

Incredibly great employees. The prices are also incredibly reasonable compared to the other stands in Cuxhaven. We will be back. Thanks to the employee who gave me a compliment - that was balm for the soul at that moment.

Buchtbude...simply a MUST on vacation. No matter what food, simply top, drinks great, service top, humorous, relaxed sayings, heart and soul is there. Completely successful. 21 days vacation = 21x stops at the Buchtbude 😉

Everything cool. Just that annoying live music. This is pure noise pollution. The sunset would be wonderful in peace and quiet.

Great location in the Bzcht, prices not appropriate in my opinion; two frozen waffles that are only made hot for €7.00 - that doesn't fit.

Service customer-oriented and fast when there is a high volume. Great view of the North Sea. Justified higher prices due to location. However, the apple pie wasn't good at all and I couldn't finish it. The coffee was good.

At first we were served friendly and quickly. Unfortunately, we later had to listen to the waitress gossiping about us when we were almost gone. It's a shame because the location and the view are really great.

There you can sit on the beach (promenade) and look at the sea. Food/drink is of course a little more expensive here.
