Great shop! I've eaten there once and ordered online once. The food is really top quality. I can highly recommend it.

On the positive side, I think it's great that the restaurant now offers delivery; it was also relatively quick for a Sunday evening (about an hour). The food tasted quite different from the typical kebab shops here in Cuxhaven. It's definitely worth trying. On the negative side, I unfortunately have to say that my ordered tzatziki leaked during delivery and completely smeared the packaging. These things happen, but I would have appreciated being offered a replacement or an alternative.

Yesterday, I paid €25 (!!!) for four sandwiches, three chicken rolls, and a chocolate croissant. On the train, we noticed that the chocolate croissant was missing. I wonder how three chicken rolls and a chocolate croissant can cost €15? Never again. I'll happily walk a few meters further and know what I'm getting for my money.

We had four different meals. All were excellent. The doner meat is the best in Cuxhaven; it can't be compared to any other doner kebab shop. Topside of beef is clearly noticeable. Every meat dish and burger is made in-house. It's a bit more expensive than regular doner kebab shops, but it's worth the money. The service is very friendly. We'll be back.

This was my first time at the Gleis 4 restaurant in Cuxhaven, and I can only say: I am more than satisfied! The food—what can I say—is more than just a kebab, it's pure passion. You can taste the passion and quality that goes into making it. The service was also excellent. We were served by a young man who knew exactly what he was doing: friendly, attentive, but never intrusive. After our meal, we even received a complimentary Turkish tea—now that's what I call true hospitality. Summary: A fantastic experience from start to finish. We'll definitely be back.

We were at Gleis 4 on October 7, 2025. What can I say? I've never had such a good kebab, and to top it off, the lovely ambiance and the super-friendly waiter. A definite recommendation! We'll be back and try other delicious dishes, too.

Unfortunately, I can't rate the food because there wasn't any... Thank you. I was pressed for time and wanted a kebab to go... the kitchen colleagues even sent me someone from the restaurant to "order from a colleague" who had customers herself. When it was my turn, she told me it would take at least 15 minutes to be ready, which is a dinner time: 6:00 p.m. Then maybe at lunchtime, hopefully there will be something then...

I had the falafel plate, and the food was incredibly delicious and the portions were generous. The falafel came with delicious homemade fries, tzatziki, vegetables, and a mixed salad with a perfectly seasoned dressing. I've been a regular customer for years, the food is really delicious, the ladies are super nice! But I should have listened to my colleagues at work, the prices are ridiculously expensive, and today I got a real shock! The place was empty and because I had pre-ordered I unfortunately had to wait 40 minutes for my food in the restaurant! I enjoy coming there every day from work but today I had to listen to the boss's son say: Hey colleague, if you don't like it, go somewhere else! Yes, I will too! With all the money they leave there during our breaks, I don't need to be harassed as if I were in a shisha bar because of my complaint! This restaurant has nothing to do with service orientation or customer service! Maybe just accept something from your regular customers and not complain! Never see you again, colleague 🤦🏻‍♂️

As a regular tourist in Cuxhaven and having tried a few kebabs here, I can confidently say that this is the best kebab in the area. Provided you're not into a cheesy, uninspiring minced meat mush. I'll definitely be back on my next visit.

Conveniently located right inside Cuxhaven train station. The decor and service are good. The prices have the 🆙 location bonus📈 Update 07/29/25: The coffee and baked goods are very good.

Cheap “baked net rolls” with nice fat tartar sauce and half a slice of cheese, cut four more times for €3.50. Why don't you sell a roll freshly delivered from the bakery with a normal fresh slice of cheese and, above all, with butter, I would buy it for 5 euros. Because quality is better than quantity. The service, on the other hand, is great

Gleis4 was one of our first impressions of Cuxhaven. The server was very attentive and super friendly; we were truly impressed. The pizza was very good, and the falafel patty on the veggie burger was very generous. The tzatziki in the burger was a bit lacking in garlic for my taste, but all in all, I would still give it 5 stars (the price-performance ratio is excellent).

I was a bit skeptical at first: the best kebab in Cuxhaven... But I wasn't disappointed. Truly the best kebab I've had in a long time. Completely different, really good meat, tastes simply amazing! Worth the price!

We had breakfast here before our departure. There's hardly a nicer restaurant area or a better-maintained restroom than the one here at Cuxhaven Station.

Food from the bakery tastes old and dry

I had dinner there with my wife on vacation. We were in this great restaurant last year and were very impressed again. We got a sample of the Yaprak kebab meat in advance and then enjoyed it as a pita and kebab plate. Taste and service simply TOP. Gladly again at any time.

Overpriced, staff sometimes rude, food is OK. I wouldn't recommend.

The lady who served me wasn't particularly friendly. When I was paying, she told me that I didn't have the right amount of €2 and had to pay with a €10 note (sorry, I can't help it because the ATM didn't give it to me in a smaller size). After telling me several times that I couldn't change it, she then gave me the €8 in change (the cash register was full of coins). I know it's hard to work on a holiday, but the customers can't help it that much. L.G.

Rude staff, overpriced and there was hair in my food

In the bakery section they don't sell fresh food without saying so - and yet they still charge full price. The food was expensive and not fresh. This is not acceptable. You get what you want, so you should give me what I want.

Why is it never thought about frying fries longer? These fries would have been ok, price too, quantity too. BUT: they were fried far too short and therefore mushy/floury. Too bad.

They probably wanted to take me away??? 5.70 for a small decaffeinated latte! Only upon request was the price changed to the advertised 3.20, either Mesh or the staff needs to be better trained. Whether this coffee was really decaffeinated remains to be seen. Because the powder is simply poured into the milk foam and then it is supposed to be a latte, that would be completely new to me. There will probably be no clarification anyway.

Waren mit der Familie zum Abendessen hier. Der Service war sehr freundlich und ging direkt auf die Kinder ein. Auch wurde das Essen für die Kids zeitnah gebracht. Qualität und Preis korrelieren. Die Portionen sind ordentlich. Kommen gerne wieder.

The Adana Kebab was below average and the Yaprak Doner didn't live up to my expectations. There was also no bread with the meal, which is what I'm used to in other Turkish restaurants in this price category. The sauces taste a bit like a finished product. Service was friendly and helpful.

It was really delicious food, I had the penne shepherd's cheese and it really tasted that it was freshly made. You could also smell that fresh cooking was being done in the kitchen. The baklava for dessert was a dream, it wasn't too sweet, super crispy and still nice and tender. The visit was crowned by the super friendly and friendly service. She explained everything very well and looked after us perfectly. Gladly again 🙂

We had two falafel plates to take away. The food looked beautifully presented and appetizing. Upon closer inspection, we unfortunately noticed that the falafel were almost burnt and therefore incredibly dry. The next day, we suffered from an upset stomach, which we attribute to this meal, as we didn't eat anything else afterward. This restaurant has a good reputation, and the quality is repeatedly praised; unfortunately, I can't confirm this. The quality of the ingredients seems good, but it takes more than just good ingredients. Quality management needs to be taken seriously. A good location and ingredients aren't enough for me.

I was a guest at “Gleis4” for the first time The restaurant makes a very tidy impression. A few benches could use a new leather covering, but otherwise it's a cozy place with very clean restrooms for guests. 5/5 The service employee was friendly, but probably wasn't having her best day. There would have been even more friendliness here. Therefore only 4/5 here I ordered a special Köfte burger. The meat was super tasty and tasted perfect. There were also fries that were supposed to be "extra crispy" according to the menu, unfortunately this was not the case. A few more minutes in the deep fryer would definitely have been worth it. Since there was only mayonnaise for the fries as an extra: only 4/5 But the most important thing is: the food was delicious, well prepared, and in the end I was absolutely pleasantly surprised by the price. I definitely recommend visiting this restaurant.

An absolute recommendation! The food, especially the new kebab dishes made with pure beef, taste fantastic. Really not comparable to a “normal” kebab, which can usually no longer be called a kebab due to its composition. But the smash burgers also taste very tasty and are freshly prepared. So far the service has been without exception friendly and fast and also fulfilled one or two extra requests. A restaurant where everything is right, please keep it up, we'll be happy to come back.

Five of us were on Platform 4 in Cuxhaven and tried everything from pasta to burgers to Dürüm with steak meat. Each of us was thrilled! The portions were generous, the ingredients were fresh and the preparation was top notch. The steak meat in the Dürüm in particular was juicy and grilled to perfection. The burgers were freshly topped, the bread was slightly crispy, and the sauces were well balanced. The pasta dishes also had a nice seasoning and were delicious. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere in the restaurant is modern and inviting. The toilet area was clean, but a bit cool. Overall, a great evening with great food – we’ll definitely be back!

Not recommended. The kebab is the size that is usually sold as a “children’s kebab”. €9.90 is by no means appropriate for this. The taste is not particularly good, the meat has a strange taste, but it doesn't remind you of "steak".

Very nice and calm ambience if you sit inside. Right at the platform as the name suggests. They do have good coffee and a small range of sandwiches to choose for your breakfast. The seating arrangement is fine and the person at the service is nice and friendly. It is a good place to sit and sip a coffee with croissant; while you wait for your train connection.

Eine Bedienung war super freundlich, ihr Kollege der ihr zur Hand ging könnte noch an Freundlichkeit viel lernen. Vom Essen ( Dönerteller) waren wir Maßlos enttäuscht können uns nicht erinnern jemals so schlecht gegessen zu haben.

Went there once and got a steak kebab plate with TooGoodToGo. After the handover, the waitress first says “Next time you can come and eat here normally” - seriously? The point here is not to not waste food, but rather to sell the average kebab for a few euros

Really very good restaurant and the service was friendly and quick. The doner dishes (Kebab Iskender) which are served with steak meat are highly recommended. However, card payments are not possible with American Express. The toilets are up the stairs. The restaurant is new and modern and can be accessed from outside and inside the station building. Parking spaces are free next to the tracks.

I have rarely eaten such good meat, the beef was delicious. It tasted great. My husband ate pizza and said the dough was very thick. But otherwise very well topped and tasted good. But it's not an Italian pizza, I knew that because the dough is thicker.

Were here again. Just as perfect as last time. The antipasti plate and the burger with fries were super tasty. A day later there was the homemade steak kebab “Iskender” - highly recommended. Unfortunately no picture was taken of this. Be sure to go and order the dish if you are a fan of kebab. This is really something different. But an absolute taste explosion.

The food was delicious (I recommend anything with falafel and baba ghanoush and baklava for dessert). The service was great and the place is also very cozy. Unfortunately, I'm rarely in Cuxhaven, but when we're there again, we'll definitely come back. Six of us easily got a place, but smaller or larger groups shouldn't be a problem either. If you sit at the back of the restaurant, you don't even notice that the train station is right behind you. So: this is definitely a recommendation, both for warm meals and for tea and cake/dessert.

I recently tried the falafel in pita bread at this cafe and loved it! The taste is simply fantastic: fresh vegetables, a creamy sauce and perfectly fried falafel harmonize wonderfully with each other. The pita bread is soft and airy, but sturdy enough not to fall apart. The portion is generous, the food is filling and the presentation is very attractive. A great choice for a quick but healthy snack. I'll definitely be back!

One of the nicest waitresses I've had recently. The food was very tasty, especially the pizza with kebab and mozzarella. The homemade baklava with ice cream and tea was the crowning glory. Absolute recommendation.

The best kebab in Cuxhaven! The Yaprak kebab is slowly but surely making its way to Cuxhaven and platform 4 has a really good skewer there. The service was also super friendly and very accommodating, and you could tell that everyone had fun at work. Very happy again!

A fantastic restaurant right in the train station, nice, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, warm boss and outstanding cuisine. We had a starter platter and the soup of the day with fresh bread. The soup was a Turkish lentil soup and it was just perfect. It tasted like Turkey. The starter platter consisted of hummus, eggplant puree, salad and bread. Everything was delicious and homemade across the board. But the highlight was definitely the Yaprak kebab, we had the kebab plate and kofta, both really delicious. The kebab meat in particular is incredibly tasty. It's a real pleasure to be served real home-made meat with a dish like this. But the absolute highlight was the Iskender, a pure taste explosion and definitely the tastiest kebab dish I ate in Germany and I really got around a lot. Fresh ingredients. The delicious meat, toasted bread cubes, a perfectly balanced tomato sauce and solid yoghurt. To top it off, the dish was topped with melted butter. Baklava for dessert was also delicious. All in all, a great spot for those who appreciate good food. Great fresh products processed into delicious dishes using our own craftsmanship. A big plus point for us is that you can take your dog with you. This is not a given in southern restaurants; we were also offered water for the dog. This is attentive service. We will definitely come back as soon as time allows. Ps. To those weirdos who complain about the prices here, you can't help them anymore. Such quality cannot be compared with all the chemical and industrial scrap. But I can only recommend to everyone that it's better to eat less junk once a month and instead treat yourself to honestly cooked food of high quality that is prepared with a high level of craftsmanship. The food is worth every cent and I hope quality prevails at some point. We also took a 3/4 hour drive just to dine here. Thank you for this great culinary excursion.

Great, surprisingly large and beautiful restaurant, which goes well with the renovated Cuxhavener train station. Friendly team who do their work politely and with wit and humor. The food and coffee always tasted very good. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Cuxhaven, I'll definitely stop at Gleis4 again.
