My wife and I were looking for a hotel in a good location at the Jade Bay in Dangast for a break of 3-4 days. The beach hotel was ideal for this, so we booked a double room there. Our room is modern and comfortably furnished. Well maintained and very clean. The breakfast buffet really impressed us. Wide selection and something for everyone. We haven't seen that often. The dishes offered in the restaurant are delicious and the eyes are also spoiled. A buffet is offered on certain days of the week, which we also rate as an absolute must. The direct lake view from our double room, the always friendly and attentive service throughout the hotel including the restaurant and room service, leave nothing to be desired for us. We will come back to this great hotel with the extremely friendly staff.

For many years it has been a 'must' for us to end our last evening in Dangast at the beach hotel. It's the icing on the cake after a wonderful holiday. The service staff is very friendly and accommodating; the food (buffet) is of high quality. There is a large selection and there is something for everyone - whether you are a fish or meat lover. When it comes to desserts, you are not limited to those on the buffet; you can also have ice cream put together. We look forward to our next 'last' evening.

Always worth a visit. Classic East Frisian tea with cake after a walk on the beach - awesome!

We stopped here after a trip to the Jade Bay. There is a rich menu, large selection of cakes and matching drinks. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are bright and friendly, everything has been renovated. The toilets are in the basement and there is an elevator. There are different menu offers throughout the week. Social gatherings can also take place.

As on our last Dangast holiday, we ate there twice in the restaurant again this time. Once in the sun in the evening on the beautiful terrace, once at a very nice table inside in the restaurant. The service is first class, the food is very tasty. I'd love to go back on my next vacation... at least twice🙂

You can spend a lot of time here and eat really well. The staff is nice and accommodating.

Warm welcome in a hotel in top condition! Parking in front of the door! Top location in town! Perfect food both breakfast and dinner! Modern, very clean and large rooms! Coffee ☕️ and tea in the room! Kettle, safe and fridge in the room! Drinks fridge in the hallway! On top of that, the weather was great! We'll definitely be back!

5 stars are definitely not enough here. The hotel in a prime location near the beach with additional guest rooms in the adjacent building is owner-managed in the best sense of the word with a lot of passion. The rooms are modern and attractively furnished - and very clean. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired, and the menu in the evening offers a very good selection for every taste and is very tasty! There is a dinner buffet three times a week with a selection that will overwhelm the normal eater. Here too, the quality is of course excellent. Non-resident guests also use this, which is not a problem at all. The service must also be mentioned very positively, whether in the restaurant or when cleaning the rooms. All employees are very friendly and accommodating. I would love to come back in 2025!

All in all a nice hotel with a great restaurant. The menu is clear and there is something for everyone. There was also a buffet one evening. We noticed that there was no poultry on the menu or at the buffet. The buffet in the evening and at breakfast is very extensive and offers a nice selection. Rooms are modern, functionally furnished. We found the room and the bathroom to be very clean. The staff is courteous, friendly and always helpful. Free parking possible directly at the house. Points of criticism would be that there are no signs at the buffet - so you know what is what. And in the bathroom a small light via motion detectors or something similar, which shines the full light into your face when you go to the toilet at night. Personally, I really liked the absence of dogs

Was there often for coffee, breakfast, ice cream. Friendly service, delicious food, nice ambience Live nearby. However, there is more of an older clientele there. You can sit outside, but right on the street. Is always well attended. Located on the water or beach, campsite

So: All you can say is that everything fits. Great location, right by the sea and right in the middle of the action Room: We had a great family room, it was very large and spacious. Everything at its best. Service, restaurant, breakfast: There is nothing to complain about, the breakfast buffet is very good, super nice service, the evening buffet is also first class, super delicious cakes with coffee round off the offer. Everything your heart and stomach desires. Very nice employees All in all: We would love to come back.

Last Sunday we spent a lovely day in Dangast. After a long walk we really worked up an appetite and spontaneously stopped by the beach hotel and were greeted very friendly at the counter. We immediately found a relaxing place with a view of the beach, among other things. We only had to wait a short time and friendly service arrived. Order placed and lunch was served. Mixed salad with fried chicken strips and spaghetti with salmon. Perfect! Since we liked the food and the ambience so much, we waited a while and then ordered the cherry cake with cream and coffee from the large cake counter. The cherry cake was to die for!!! We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the great service and hospitality! We'll be back!

Service outside on the terrace = zero!! In order to place an order, we had to wait inside for a long time. After that we didn't see any more service, so we couldn't order anything else. The same problem again when paying, even though there was NOTHING going on. You probably don't need it.

Super great dinner buffet with an incredibly good selection. Totally friendly staff. Good price/performance ratio and also staggered children's prices at the buffet. In addition, a very inviting and modern atmosphere 👌🏼

Nice hotel with extremely nice rooms, the facilities are very good and the beds are comfortable. There are utensils in the room for making your first coffee and there is a large TV where you can watch TV from bed. Particularly noteworthy are the roof terrace, the rich and good breakfast and the extremely nice and courteous staff. The only downside was that there was no shower and you had to shower in the bathtub, but that was okay. All in all, full marks!

Very nice hotel, service and staff very accommodating. Had dinner there in the evening, highly recommended. The only drawback is the bathtub with shower function. A bit awkward for older guests.

Had a wonderful stay. Had a double room with a balcony, very clean, comfortable bed, large bathroom. Breakfast very good. We also had our wedding dinner there with a buffet. It was very tasty, everyone really enjoyed it, all of our wishes were taken into account and we are just super satisfied and would always be happy to come back! Perfect :)

Rooms, food and service tip top

A great hotel in a beautiful location. The rooms are modern and yet very comfortable, and exemplary clean. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. The food offered in the restaurant is excellent, and the buffet offered on some days is an absolute must. If you want to retreat, sit on the roof terrace and just let the Jade Bay work its magic on you. We will definitely come back to this beautiful hotel with the extremely friendly staff.

We were only booked here for 3 nights. Our room 11 is nice. But very, very impractical with a child and the nights in the middle of August were unbearable, almost an imposition. Directly above the restaurant/café. It's too loud with a child. Also on a Saturday there is a party here and the noise is outrageous! Furthermore, this room is without air conditioning. You are forced to leave the window open overnight, which really makes it a horror night because of the mosquitoes and the cigarette smoke constantly coming in. As a non-smoker with a child, these were the three worst nights I've ever had. Staff is friendly. Especially the woman with the short haircut and glasses. She radiates calm and always smiles and says hello. Very personable, even if the boss isn't nice to the staff. Unfortunately, as a guest you experience the stress of the kitchen. Which is a bit un-relaxing. But it may be due to a lack of staff. The food tastes delicious.

My husband and I went to the Strand Hotel for the dinner buffet last night and can only report positive things. The reception was friendly, we were shown to our seat and seated promptly. All the service staff were very attentive and tried hard, the atmosphere in the restaurant was good. Since it was a Saturday evening in high season, we reserved a table in advance and that was a good thing because it was really full! A large and, above all, varied hot and cold buffet awaited us for 29.50 euros per person. We were able to enjoy a large selection of antipasti, salads and fish, a soup of the day, various warm fish and meat dishes with various side dishes and vegetables as well as several different desserts, fresh fruit and ice cream. There was something for everyone and you could go to the buffet as often as you wanted. The food was always refilled when it was empty, meaning the warm food was always hot. And the modern, bright and friendly atmosphere of the restaurant also convinced us in every respect. It is already clear to us that we will visit the evening buffet at the Strand Hotel again on our next Dangast holiday and would therefore be happy to recommend it to others!

We celebrated our wedding reception with just over 30 people in the hotel. We and almost all of the guests also spent the night there. The service and preparation of the wedding celebration was organized very well by the hotel. The food was really delicious. There was also ice cream from the ice cream counter. Everyone was really excited. The rooms were very comfortable with a view of the Wadden Sea. All in all very recommendable. The price was absolutely fair.

We stayed at the beach hotel for 4 nights in June 2024. It was a feel-good holiday for us. The friendliness of the service staff from all areas of the hotel and the friendly and helpful Weidmann family contributed a lot to this. The room was very nice, clean and important for us: with a kettle to make coffee and tea in the room 😊👌🏻 Breakfast buffet was very good and we also enjoyed the food in the restaurant very much. Free parking and direct location. Thank you. We'll definitely come back.

A very well-run hotel in a prime location. Large clean rooms with every comfort. The attentive staff makes your vacation really complete. An absolute recommendation!

As frequent travelers, we are pleased with the conscientious and at the same time confidently relaxed management of the hotel. Thought out in detail and with people who are familiar to the guests. Great cuisine, relaxed service - there is always a solution. It feels good that there were no pets in the rooms- thank you! The free parking space underlines customer friendliness.

Went there for coffee in the afternoon. There was a large selection of cakes and tarts. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly, the gentleman who served us at the table was probably having a bad day. Unfriendly and not particularly attentive to new guests. The cake was very tasty, as was the cappuccino.

We were there as a family and found the service exceptionally good. Especially the possibility of not only getting an extra bed, but also installing a baby bay on the bed is very, very good. We were there for the breakfast buffet on a Friday morning in the low season. There are still places available. The tables were exceptionally large, the breakfast buffet was extensive and drinks were all included (even the sparkling wine!). Therefore, the breakfast buffet in the Strand Cafe is highly recommended. We felt extremely comfortable and would love to come back.

My wife and I thought it was great. Even though it was only Pentecost weekend there was a lot going on, it's hard to imagine what it's like during the holiday season. A little tip: The rooms with balconies are all located at the front facing the street ;-) But a very nice, clean and modern hotel, great outdoor terrace with a view of the bay (past the campsite), and there is also an elevator for those who are lazy like me . The breakfast buffet is great. The Beach Cruiser rental shop for bicycles and electric vehicles is really only 3 minutes away and you can then really explore all the bike paths. The only drawback was the beach chair rental, which didn't work. Instead of a friendly, tanned local, there is only one app for this and that is cheese. So bring a folding chair with you!

I have to point out a small mistake to the Strand Hotel. When the weather is good and sunny, there is no sun protection at the entrance on the left, which also has to be changed, and there also had to be seating on the side of the hotel parking lot and the large parking lot when the sun was strong. That's not meant to be bad, if you have time you can just wait for conditions. That's my opinion and if you can't wait you have to stay awake. You probably have time if you want to drink coffee ☕️ and eat cake 🎂 and you also have time if you go out to eat in the evening. Otherwise, the Strandhotel Wiechmann Haus is very, very well recommended, grade best 1

Very good fish buffet on Fridays for EUR 22.50, which is more than affordable for the selection and quality. Weak point, as is often the case: too few wait staff, you wait a long time for drinks (everything worked smoothly and quickly for us, but at other tables...); nice terrace, good interior design and new toilet facilities. Overall recommended. Update from May 19, 2024: this time coffee and cake, it tasted very good, service could be improved today...

Nice service, nice view, but food was an absolute disgrace. Frozen pizza and herring fillet from the bucket. Then you can also go to the snack bar a few meters further

One of the best hotels I have visited. Everything just fits there. Breakfast and dinner buffets are a dream.

Das Strandcafé in Dangast verspricht eine entspannte Auszeit am Meer, und die Aussicht enttäuscht nicht. Mit den Füßen im Sand und dem Rauschen der Wellen im Ohr kann man hier wirklich abschalten. Die Speisekarte bietet eine solide Auswahl an Strandklassikern, von frischem Fisch bis zu leckeren Snacks. Doch hier kommt das aber... das Personal scheint in einem kleinen Servicesturm gefangen zu sein. Die Bestellungen dauern etwas länger als erwartet, und es scheint, als ob die Sonne nicht das Einzige ist, was heute heiß läuft. Der versteckte Hinweis: Vielleicht liegt es daran, dass das Café vor lauter Sonnenschein und Strandzauber überflutet ist, aber eine zusätzliche Portion Aufmerksamkeit vom Personal könnte den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer machen. Trotzdem, wenn man es schafft, Geduld mitzubringen, lohnt sich der Besuch allein schon wegen der idyllischen Lage und der entspannten Atmosphäre. Dies sind unsere Eindrücke vom Restaurant. Wir waren keine Hotelgäste. Wir sind nun schon öfters hier eingekehrt und haben wirklich einen schönen, angenehmen Nachmittag verbracht. Der Empfang und die Bedienung waren sehr freundlich und gaben uns Zeit zum auswählen. Wir entschieden uns für eine Fischsuppe, eine Krabbensuppe und zwei Seemannsteller, dazu eine Flasche Sauvignon Blanc. Beide Suppen waren beide sehr gut ebenso die Hauptspeisen. Die Krabben frisch, die Bratkartoffeln wirklich gut gebraten, nicht fettig und nicht zu salzig, genau richtig, ebenso wie das Rührei. Der Wein mit einem sehr schönen Bouquet zu einem sehr anständigen Preis. Sehr zu empfehlen

War nur für ein Abendessen da, aber fand es super. Aufgrund der Jahrezeit war es schon dunkel, aber im Sommer hat man sicherlich eine tolle Aussicht. Das Personal, ganz besonders ein Kellner(?) war sehr freundlich (es war noch ruhig und ich war alleine dort) und hat sich ein wenig mit mir unterhalten. Das Essen und der alkoholfreie Cocktail kamen schnell und waren sehr lecker und auch das Ambiente hat mir sehr gefallen.

Sehr schönes und gemütliches Hotel mit Restaurant, welches mit viel Liebe geführt wird. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Super Frühstücks- und Abendbuffet, für jeden etwas dabei : )

Im Sommer diesen Jahres wurde ich ins Strand-Hotel zum Mittagessen eingeladen. Bestellt habe ich die Dangaster Fischplatte. Meine Vorfreude war groß. Leider wurde diese nicht bestätigt. Das Schollenfilet wurde in Fett ertränkt, die Kartoffeln waren geschmacklos ... Ich hatte den Eindruck, dass günstige TK-Ware anstatt hochwertige und frische Speisen serviert wurden ... Auf meine Mail an die Betreiber des Strand-Hotels habe ich bis heute keine Antwort erhalten. Das sprich ja auch für sich ...

Wir waren zum Abendessen hier. Es gab Buffet. Sehr lecker.

Es ist ein sehr schönes komfortables Haus, mit ansprechenden und sehr sauberen Zimmern. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich. Ein reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen. Das Restaurant bietet eine gute Auswahl an leckeren Speisen. Hervorzuheben ist das Mittwoch-, Freitag- und Samstagabend angebotene Buffet, welches nicht nur sehr umfangreich sondern alles auch wirklich geschmackvoll ist. Tischreservierung ist hier unbedingt empfohlen. Alles in allem eine Hotel zu dem man gerne wieder kommt.

Das Essen war sehr gut, ob Pizza, Fisch oder Nudelgerichte , alles super .

Waren heute im Cafe des Hotels. Es war ALLES Top!!! Schönes Ambiente, leckere Kuchen und freundliches Personal. Kommen gerne wieder.
