I've only been to the restaurant a few times, and every time it's been simply delicious. You can eat everything from the menu here and you won't be disappointed. They also have super delicious cakes 👍

The beach hotel exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect! The rooms are large and modern! The bathroom is spacious enough! The food was delicious and the Wednesday evening buffet was fantastic! The staff is very friendly! All in all, perfect!!!

We were at the beach cafe this afternoon, not for the first time, but this time it was an absolute nuisance! Of course, it's difficult when only one server has to serve inside and outside, but ignoring guests is unacceptable! Even after waiting, no one came to our table, and we had to ask at the counter twice if they were ready to take our order. After the second request, it should be clear to everyone that something isn't going right and they should speed things up a bit so that the guests who have been waiting for a long time are also served. They didn't rush us; they somehow served everyone else first and "sweetened" the almost 40-minute wait with loud schnitzel banging from the open kitchen. When our order finally arrived, there was not a word of regret, even after we expressed our displeasure, and later when paying. A waiter who seemed to not give a damn about anything simply ignored everything. Skilled labor shortage or not, this kind of behavior is a no-go in service! It would have been enough to admit that he'd lost track, was simply too busy, and was sorry, then the anger would have quickly dissipated and the matter would have been settled, but this stoic indifference made me write this here now. What we ate was delicious (hence the 2 stars), but the abysmal service was very annoying!

We were there for a short break. The hotel has a great location. The rooms are very nice, some with balconies. Everything is very clean. The food in the evenings at the hotel is also very good. The service staff are all super friendly. The hotel has a lovely terrace where you can sit even when it's windy. We would come again.

We spent a weekend here for two nights. The hotel's location, overlooking the water, and the furnishings and cleanliness of the rooms were excellent. The breakfast buffet was extensive and left nothing to be desired. We felt very welcome and comfortable. Highly recommended! One small drawback: the Wi-Fi connection was poor.

The restaurant's location is truly beautiful. We went there for dinner at the buffet, which was also the location of a birthday party. There were four servers available, but it took a long time for one to take our drinks order. As a normal tourist, we didn't really feel welcome as a family. The food was good, the prices were reasonable, but the service could really improve, including the friendliness.

We celebrated our wedding there with 13 people in the fireplace room. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Breakfast, champagne reception, coffee and cake, buffet, and Matthias's impeccable hospitality in the evening made our wedding an unforgettable day! Simply fantastic!

I booked a room at the Pension An Bord for three nights for work reasons. The rooms are quite comfortable and equipped with everything you need. On the ground floor, there's a minibar with a wide selection of drinks. The owner and his wife are very friendly and nice people. However, the staff leaves much to be desired. The cleaning lady's appearance was beyond inappropriate. I often travel to Germany for work and stay in various hotels, but this time I was really annoyed: In the morning, the doors slammed loudly, and a foreign woman of about 45, who doesn't speak a word of German, was dressed very vulgarly—short shorts, and her movements were unpleasant to watch. She flirted with guests and spoke loudly and continuously on the phone while cleaning, which left a very negative impression. The hotel owner should take more care in selecting the cleaning staff. This unfortunately significantly spoiled the overall impression. The breakfast in the restaurant, on the other hand, was excellent—very tasty and inviting. The restaurant staff worked professionally. The summer terrace is wonderful. Thank you very much.

On Friday evening, we spontaneously got a table outside with five adults and two children and ate from the buffet. It was delicious and there was a wide selection. The price/performance ratio was right, and the service staff was also super friendly. If we're ever in Dangast again, we'll definitely come back.

We visited the restaurant three times during our vacation at the holiday home (2 breakfast buffets, 1 dinner buffet). Everyone in the family, from young to old, always found something to enjoy at the buffets and was very satisfied with the selection, quality, and taste. The hard-working and friendly staff always promptly refilled the empty bowls at the buffet. We'll be back next time we're in Dangast.

Fantastic restaurant with a super cool and incredibly attentive waiter. We felt completely taken care of and looked after. The food was fantastic. We didn't stay overnight, but only booked the breakfast buffet. The service and the breakfast buffet were good. I only have one comment. There are many people these days who, for health reasons, cannot tolerate milk or caffeinated coffee. Although there are many alternatives, these products were missing here. If they were available, I would say the breakfast buffet would be perfect.

The seating in the restaurant needs repair. The bench seat is broken. A few things need to be repaired or renovated here and there. Otherwise, a very pleasant stay. The food is excellent.

I can't say anything about the hotel. BUT we booked the evening buffet for 6 p.m. today for €30, which was worth every cent. I don't even know where to start with the meat, fish, vegetables, and even asparagus at the moment. The antipasti salads, as well as the desserts and fresh fruit, were simply amazing. I've rarely had such delicious and, above all, varied food. I can only recommend it to everyone.

We stopped by for dinner on a Monday evening during our short trip! After a friendly welcome, we were immediately escorted to the terrace and allowed to choose our own seats. The friendly wait staff were prompt, friendly, and helpful! Food = everything was outstanding, to our taste! Portion size = My fish platter with potatoes was excellent, BUT my companion's 3 thin slices of loin were very meager for the price! Price = Fish platter OK, loin rather overpriced! Ambience = everything great Cleanliness = everything great Service = outstanding We would come back anytime to enjoy it :)

We were looking for a table for dinner at short notice with a total of 9 people because, contrary to expectations, our planned restaurant was closed. The reservation by telephone was extremely friendly, and the evening on site left nothing to be desired. The food was excellent in all respects, there was a small play area for the children and the service was courteous and friendly - great! We'd love to come back next time, with accommodation too!

So I have to say the room was really disappointing and we were about to leave. According to the motto “it’s just for sleeping” we stayed. The mold in the bathroom is really a disgrace for the price. It's a shame because we were very satisfied last time and booked again because of the experience. But let's think twice about that now.

We are now regular guests at the beach hotel and have been here many times. Mostly over Easter. The hotel consists of the main building and the Pension An Board. We usually have the family room in the guesthouse. The Weidmann family and their team work hard to ensure that their guests have a pleasant stay.

Canned soup boiler, this one with freshly cut sausages from the jar. If you want more, be careful. Back then there were still trying cakes.

We went to the hotel restaurant for dinner. The preparation took a little more time than usual, but the waitress informed us of this when we ordered. The food was outstanding, hot and to the point. A little less salt would have been good, but as we all know, this is a matter of individual taste, so it has no influence on the rating. You have a view of the beach, but the beach parking lot is in between. The restaurant is quiet, although there were only a few other guests there.

The Strandhotel Dangast is a very great hotel. The service is impeccable, all the employees are very friendly. The breakfast buffet is very extensive and very tasty. The hotel rooms are cleaned and prepared in great detail by the service during the day. The view from the roof terrace of the promenade and the Wadden Sea (Jade Bay). Highly recommended. We had a wonderful evening with friends at the buffet at the beach hotel. The buffet was not only extensive, but also of excellent quality. The selection ranged from juicy steaks and shrimps to tender plaice and a variety of starters and delicious desserts. The dining area was modern and spotlessly clean, and service was always attentive. The atmosphere was really pleasant and welcoming. At 30 euros, the buffet may not be the cheapest, but it is worth every cent. The beach hotel is a location that is often overlooked. Keep it up, we'll be happy to come back!

We spontaneously went to the Strand Café for dinner on Monday evening without a reservation and were warmly welcomed. The atmosphere was relaxed and child-friendly - which we were particularly happy about as our two-year-old son was very “active” and the team still remained totally relaxed. The food was great: We had the Dangaster fish platter and the salad with salmon, both came hot and tasted really good. There was a quick saying about the Frisian spirit that rounded off the evening perfectly. A great experience for the whole family – we would love to come back!

My wife and I were looking for a hotel in a good location at the Jade Bay in Dangast for a break of 3-4 days. The beach hotel was ideal for this, so we booked a double room there. Our room is modern and comfortably furnished. Well maintained and very clean. The breakfast buffet really impressed us. Wide selection and something for everyone. We haven't seen that often. The dishes offered in the restaurant are delicious and the eyes are also spoiled. A buffet is offered on certain days of the week, which we also rate as an absolute must. The direct lake view from our double room, the always friendly and attentive service throughout the hotel including the restaurant and room service, leave nothing to be desired for us. We will come back to this great hotel with the extremely friendly staff.

For many years it has been a 'must' for us to end our last evening in Dangast at the beach hotel. It's the icing on the cake after a wonderful holiday. The service staff is very friendly and accommodating; the food (buffet) is of high quality. There is a large selection and there is something for everyone - whether you are a fish or meat lover. When it comes to desserts, you are not limited to those on the buffet; you can also have ice cream put together. We look forward to our next 'last' evening.

We stopped here after a trip to the Jade Bay. There is a rich menu, large selection of cakes and matching drinks. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are bright and friendly, everything has been renovated. The toilets are in the basement and there is an elevator. There are different menu offers throughout the week. Social gatherings can also take place.

As on our last Dangast holiday, we ate there twice in the restaurant again this time. Once in the sun in the evening on the beautiful terrace, once at a very nice table inside in the restaurant. The service is first class, the food is very tasty. I'd love to go back on my next vacation... at least twice🙂

The hotel in a prime location near the beach with additional guest rooms in the adjacent building is owner-managed in the best sense of the word with a lot of passion. The rooms are modern and attractively furnished - and very clean. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired, and the menu in the evening offers a very good selection for every taste and is very tasty! There is a dinner buffet three times a week with a selection that will overwhelm the normal eater. Here too, the quality is of course excellent. Non-resident guests also use this, which is not a problem at all. The service must also be mentioned very positively, whether in the restaurant or when cleaning the rooms. All employees are very friendly and accommodating. I would love to come back in 2025!

We noticed that there was no poultry on the menu or at the buffet. The buffet in the evening and at breakfast is very extensive and offers a nice selection. Rooms are modern, functionally furnished. We found the room and the bathroom to be very clean. The staff is courteous, friendly and always helpful. Free parking possible directly at the house. Points of criticism would be that there are no signs at the buffet - so you know what is what. And in the bathroom a small light via motion detectors or something similar, which shines the full light into your face when you go to the toilet at night. Personally, I really liked the absence of dogs

Last Sunday we spent a lovely day in Dangast. After a long walk we really worked up an appetite and spontaneously stopped by the beach hotel and were greeted very friendly at the counter. We immediately found a relaxing place with a view of the beach, among other things. We only had to wait a short time and friendly service arrived. Order placed and lunch was served. Mixed salad with fried chicken strips and spaghetti with salmon. Perfect! Since we liked the food and the ambience so much, we waited a while and then ordered the cherry cake with cream and coffee from the large cake counter. The cherry cake was to die for!!! We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the great service and hospitality! We'll be back!

Service outside on the terrace = zero!! In order to place an order, we had to wait inside for a long time. After that we didn't see any more service, so we couldn't order anything else. The same problem again when paying, even though there was NOTHING going on. You probably don't need it.

Nice hotel with extremely nice rooms, the facilities are very good and the beds are comfortable. There are utensils in the room for making your first coffee and there is a large TV where you can watch TV from bed. Particularly noteworthy are the roof terrace, the rich and good breakfast and the extremely nice and courteous staff. The only downside was that there was no shower and you had to shower in the bathtub, but that was okay. All in all, full marks!

A great hotel in a beautiful location. The rooms are modern and yet very comfortable, and exemplary clean. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. The food offered in the restaurant is excellent, and the buffet offered on some days is an absolute must. If you want to retreat, sit on the roof terrace and just let the Jade Bay work its magic on you. We will definitely come back to this beautiful hotel with the extremely friendly staff.

We were only booked here for 3 nights. Our room 11 is nice. But very, very impractical with a child and the nights in the middle of August were unbearable, almost an imposition. Directly above the restaurant/café. It's too loud with a child. Also on a Saturday there is a party here and the noise is outrageous! Furthermore, this room is without air conditioning. You are forced to leave the window open overnight, which really makes it a horror night because of the mosquitoes and the cigarette smoke constantly coming in. As a non-smoker with a child, these were the three worst nights I've ever had. Staff is friendly. Especially the woman with the short haircut and glasses. She radiates calm and always smiles and says hello. Very personable, even if the boss isn't nice to the staff. Unfortunately, as a guest you experience the stress of the kitchen. Which is a bit un-relaxing. But it may be due to a lack of staff. The food tastes delicious.

My husband and I went to the Strand Hotel for the dinner buffet last night and can only report positive things. The reception was friendly, we were shown to our seat and seated promptly. All the service staff were very attentive and tried hard, the atmosphere in the restaurant was good. Since it was a Saturday evening in high season, we reserved a table in advance and that was a good thing because it was really full! A large and, above all, varied hot and cold buffet awaited us for 29.50 euros per person. We were able to enjoy a large selection of antipasti, salads and fish, a soup of the day, various warm fish and meat dishes with various side dishes and vegetables as well as several different desserts, fresh fruit and ice cream. There was something for everyone and you could go to the buffet as often as you wanted. The food was always refilled when it was empty, meaning the warm food was always hot. And the modern, bright and friendly atmosphere of the restaurant also convinced us in every respect. It is already clear to us that we will visit the evening buffet at the Strand Hotel again on our next Dangast holiday and would therefore be happy to recommend it to others!

We celebrated our wedding reception with just over 30 people in the hotel. We and almost all of the guests also spent the night there. The service and preparation of the wedding celebration was organized very well by the hotel. The food was really delicious. There was also ice cream from the ice cream counter. Everyone was really excited. The rooms were very comfortable with a view of the Wadden Sea. All in all very recommendable. The price was absolutely fair.

We stayed at the beach hotel for 4 nights in June 2024. It was a feel-good holiday for us. The friendliness of the service staff from all areas of the hotel and the friendly and helpful Weidmann family contributed a lot to this. The room was very nice, clean and important for us: with a kettle to make coffee and tea in the room 😊👌🏻 Breakfast buffet was very good and we also enjoyed the food in the restaurant very much.
