Strand-Hotel Inh. Weidmann GbR in Varel

Wir haben ganz spontan eine Nacht in diesem Hotel verbracht und insgesamt sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Lage ist wirklich hervorragend – der Strand ist in wenigen Schritten erreichbar und genau das hat uns besonders gut gefallen. Auch unser Doppelzimmer mit Balkon und Meerblick war schön eingerichtet und bot einen tollen Ausblick. Das Frühstücks- sowie das Abendbuffet haben uns ebenfalls überzeugt. Die Auswahl war groß, alles war frisch und geschmacklich wirklich gut. Zwar nicht außergewöhnlich, aber absolut lecker und für uns vollkommen angemessen. Ein paar Punkte haben unseren Aufenthalt allerdings etwas getrübt. Wir hatten ein sehr heißes Wochenende erwischt und das Zimmer hat sich extrem aufgeheizt. Leider gab es weder eine Klimaanlage noch die Möglichkeit, einen Ventilator zu erhalten. Dadurch war an erholsamen Schlaf kaum zu denken. Unser Zimmer lag im linken Gebäudeteil mit angrenzender Dachterrasse. Das Badezimmerfenster konnten wir nur eingeschränkt öffnen, da sich dort regelmäßig Gäste aufhielten und auch rauchten. Zudem war bis in die späten Abendstunden immer wieder das laute Zuschlagen der Tür zur Dachterrasse zu hören, was doch recht störend war. Ein weiterer Punkt, der uns aufgefallen ist, war der Teppichboden im Zimmer. Dieser war an vielen Stellen von deutlich sichtbaren dunklen Flecken übersät, was insgesamt keinen gepflegten Eindruck hinterlassen hat. Gerade bei einem Hotel in dieser Preisklasse sollte hier nachgebessert werden – sei es durch eine gründliche Reinigung oder einen Austausch des Teppichs. Trotz dieser Kritikpunkte hatten wir insgesamt einen schönen Aufenthalt. Das Hotel überzeugt vor allem durch seine ausgezeichnete Lage, die schönen Zimmer und das gute gastronomische Angebot. Wir würden es grundsätzlich weiterempfehlen – insbesondere, wenn die Temperaturen etwas angenehmer sind oder künftig eine bessere Möglichkeit zur Kühlung der Zimmer geschaffen wird.

Die Kellner haben meine Hoch Schwangeren Freundin Alkohol verabreicht da sie die Getränke verwechselt haben. Und ein Mitarbeiter äußert dazu schmunzelnd: ach das ist doch nicht so schlimm. Unteraller Sau. Zusätzlich haben wir eine Hochzeit gefeiert und wurden ständig mit den Preisen Bedrängt, Der Kellner hat einfach auf unseren Deckel getrunken und ab 0uhr gedrängt das die schließen wollen und das es teurer wird. Das Schlimmste Lokal das wir seit langem betreten haben.

Wir haben hier erstklassig gegessen! Das angebotene Buffet ließ keine Wünsche offen; zum Einstieg eine kleine Ingwer-Karotten-Suppe, danach standen diverse Anti-Pasti zur Wahl. 3 verschiedenf Fleischangebote, 3 x warmer Fisch - hier war ein Hightlight der gratinierte Butterfisch. Auch das Dedsertbuffet war der Hammer. Hier insbesondere die Möglichkeit, sich selber einen Eisbecher zusammen zu stellen. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis für dieses tolle Buffet passt. Wir würden in jedem Fall dieses Angebot wieder in Anspruch nehmen.

Wir haben unsere Hochzeit im familiären Kreis im Restaurantbereich des Strand-Hotels gefeiert. Das Mittagsbuffet hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen! Eine große und vielfältige Auswahl und durchweg alles sehr lecker. Von Seiten unserer Gäste wurde sich auch durchweg positiv geäußert und viel Lob ausgesprochen. Für unseren besonderen Tag hätten wir es uns nicht anders oder besser wünschen können. Der Bereich, den wir mit unserer Feier zur Verfügung hatten, war schön gestaltet und die bereitgestellte Dekoration hat uns gut gefallen. Das Service- und Mitarbeiterteam war ebenfalls klasse! Zu den Zimmern kann ich nichts sagen. Wir waren in unserem urlaub nur im Restaurant etwas Essen. Wir können es dort nur empfehlen ob warme Speisen oder Kaffee und Kuchen es ist alles lecker. Waren dieses Jahr 3x zum Essen dort. Man sollte evt. Aber einen Tisch für Abend's vorbestellen sonst könnte es schwierig werden. Wir hatten aber meist Glück und sie konnten noch was möglich machen..

Wir waren keine Gäste des Hotels.Wir waren heute zum Abendessen im Restaurant. Wir waren wirklich begeistert. Die Beratung und Bedienung war super freundlich und kompetent. Das Essen ( Bufett) war ein Genuss . Wir können das Restaurant sehr empfehlen und kommen gern wieder , wenn wir wieder Urlaub in Dangast machen .

Das Strandhotel in Dangast überzeugt mit seiner einzigartigen Lage direkt am Meer und einem herrlichen Blick auf das Wattenmeer. Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sauber und bieten hohen Komfort. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das freundliche und aufmerksame Personal, das den Aufenthalt rundum angenehm macht. Auch das Frühstück ist vielfältig und frisch. Ein perfekter Ort, um zu entspannen und die Natur zu genießen.

Dieses Haus versteht, wie man Eindruck hinterlässt. Keine laute Show, kein unnötiges Bling-Bling sondern Klasse mit Haltung. Die Küche? Präzise. Jedes Gericht wirkt durchdacht, sauber abgestimmt, kein überladener Zirkus auf dem Teller. Frische Zutaten, ehrlicher Geschmack, starke Basis. Man merkt: Hier kocht niemand für Instagram, sondern für Menschen mit Anspruch. Das Frühstück ist kein Standardprogramm, sondern ein Statement. Hochwertige Auswahl, gute Produkte, klare Struktur genau so, wie es sein soll. Wer hier speist, fühlt sich nicht abgefertigt, sondern respektiert. Service? Unaufdringlich aufmerksam. Man wird gesehen, ohne dass es aufgesetzt wirkt. Diskret, professionell, souverän so arbeitet ein Team, das sein Handwerk versteht. Atmosphäre? Ruhig, stilvoll, mit dieser leisen Selbstverständlichkeit von Qualität. Kein Touristenspektakel. Sondern ein Ort, an dem man ankommt und bleibt. Strand-Hotel Inh. Weidmann GbR liefert keine Show. A very nice hotel with very nice owners. I learned it has been family-owned for 50 years.

That was a lovely weekend! The room was cozy, clean, and a good size. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and plentiful. The staff was very friendly, especially the ladies in the café. There was a great selection of cakes and pastries in the afternoon. It was just a bit pricey (I booked through an external provider)...

After enjoying the fantastic buffet once again, I'd like to share my initial impressions. The rooms are supposed to be very good, although I can't yet confirm this from personal experience. Let's talk about the buffet, which yesterday offered a wide selection of appetizers, including five different meats and several fish specialties, along with various side dishes and vegetables. 😊 Everything was incredibly delicious, as my family confirmed. 👍 To top it all off, we shared the amazing dessert buffet (fruit, pudding, tiramisu, and more), which led to some casual conversation with other guests who were equally delighted. 😀

We went to the restaurant for the evening buffet, which had a very large selection with many different types of fish. It was very tasty and the prices were excellent. The very good service made the meal perfect.

I can't comment on the rooms, as we had breakfast (brunch) at the beach hotel. The buffet was plentiful, with a wide variety of options – really good. It's also wheelchair accessible. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the view is beautiful. We enjoyed our stay very much and would gladly return.

We celebrated our civil wedding at this restaurant and couldn't have wished for a more beautiful place. The buffet was excellent, varied, and offered something for everyone. The restaurant itself is very stylish yet cozy. The location is truly fantastic.

I've only been to the restaurant a few times, and every time it's been simply delicious. You can eat everything from the menu here and you won't be disappointed. They also have super delicious cakes 👍

We went to the beach hotel twice for dinner in September (we only stayed at the campsite for two nights). It was delicious. On the first evening, even though we arrived very late, we were given herring with fried potatoes. We have rarely eaten such good herring. On the second evening we had a grilled fish platter and I think it was plaice. In any case, it was fantastic again... I can only say thank you very much. Both the staff and the owner were very friendly and nice. They also told us straight away that the food would take about an hour because someone was sick. The wait was worth it :-). When we wanted to leave, we were given an expensive grappa at the bar and had a nice chat. We will be back.

The beach hotel exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect! The rooms are large and modern! The bathroom is spacious enough! The food was delicious and the Wednesday evening buffet was fantastic! The staff is very friendly! All in all, perfect!!!

We were at the beach cafe this afternoon, not for the first time, but this time it was an absolute nuisance! Of course, it's difficult when only one server has to serve inside and outside, but ignoring guests is unacceptable! Even after waiting, no one came to our table, and we had to ask at the counter twice if they were ready to take our order. After the second request, it should be clear to everyone that something isn't going right and they should speed things up a bit so that the guests who have been waiting for a long time are also served. They didn't rush us; they somehow served everyone else first and "sweetened" the almost 40-minute wait with loud schnitzel banging from the open kitchen. When our order finally arrived, there was not a word of regret, even after we expressed our displeasure, and later when paying. A waiter who seemed to not give a damn about anything simply ignored everything. Skilled labor shortage or not, this kind of behavior is a no-go in service! It would have been enough to admit that he'd lost track, was simply too busy, and was sorry, then the anger would have quickly dissipated and the matter would have been settled, but this stoic indifference made me write this here now. What we ate was delicious (hence the 2 stars), but the abysmal service was very annoying!

A clean and well-equipped hotel. The rooms are spacious, with a large TV and a large bathroom. Friendly staff and owners. The daily meals are also highly recommended.

We spent a weekend here for two nights. The hotel's location, overlooking the water, and the furnishings and cleanliness of the rooms were excellent. The breakfast buffet was extensive and left nothing to be desired. We felt very welcome and comfortable. Highly recommended! One small drawback: the Wi-Fi connection was poor.

The restaurant's location is truly beautiful. We went there for dinner at the buffet, which was also the location of a birthday party. There were four servers available, but it took a long time for one to take our drinks order. As a normal tourist, we didn't really feel welcome as a family. We celebrated our wedding there with 13 people in the fireplace room. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Breakfast, champagne reception, coffee and cake, buffet, and Matthias's impeccable hospitality in the evening made our wedding an unforgettable day! Simply fantastic!

I booked a room at the Pension An Bord for three nights for work reasons. The rooms are quite comfortable and equipped with everything you need. On the ground floor, there's a minibar with a wide selection of drinks. The owner and his wife are very friendly and nice people. However, the staff leaves much to be desired. The cleaning lady's appearance was beyond inappropriate. I often travel to Germany for work and stay in various hotels, but this time I was really annoyed: In the morning, the doors slammed loudly, and a foreign woman of about 45, who doesn't speak a word of German, was dressed very vulgarly—short shorts, and her movements were unpleasant to watch. She flirted with guests and spoke loudly and continuously on the phone while cleaning, which left a very negative impression. The hotel owner should take more care in selecting the cleaning staff. This unfortunately significantly spoiled the overall impression. The breakfast in the restaurant, on the other hand, was excellent—very tasty and inviting. The restaurant staff worked professionally. The summer terrace is wonderful. Thank you very much.

We visited the restaurant three times during our vacation at the holiday home (2 breakfast buffets, 1 dinner buffet). Everyone in the family, from young to old, always found something to enjoy at the buffets and was very satisfied with the selection, quality, and taste. The hard-working and friendly staff always promptly refilled the empty bowls at the buffet. We'll be back next time we're in Dangast.

Fantastic restaurant with a super cool and incredibly attentive waiter. We felt completely taken care of and looked after. The food was fantastic. We didn't stay overnight, but only booked the breakfast buffet. The service and the breakfast buffet were good. I only have one comment. There are many people these days who, for health reasons, cannot tolerate milk or caffeinated coffee. Although there are many alternatives, these products were missing here. If they were available, I would say the breakfast buffet would be perfect.

The seating in the restaurant needs repair. The bench seat is broken. A few things need to be repaired or renovated here and there. Otherwise, a very pleasant stay. The food is excellent.

Unfortunately, we can no longer recommend it. We were regular guests there for many years, but the service has become very poor. We won't be back.

I can't say anything about the hotel. BUT we booked the evening buffet for 6 p.m. today for €30, which was worth every cent. I don't even know where to start with the meat, fish, vegetables, and even asparagus at the moment. The antipasti salads, as well as the desserts and fresh fruit, were simply amazing. I've rarely had such delicious and, above all, varied food. I can only recommend it to everyone.

We stopped by for dinner on a Monday evening during our short trip! After a friendly welcome, we were immediately escorted to the terrace and allowed to choose our own seats. The friendly wait staff were prompt, friendly, and helpful! Food = everything was outstanding, to our taste! Portion size = My fish platter with potatoes was excellent, BUT my companion's 3 thin slices of loin were very meager for the price! Price = Fish platter OK, loin rather overpriced! Ambience = everything great Cleanliness = everything great Service = outstanding We would come back anytime to enjoy it :)

We were looking for a table for dinner at short notice with a total of 9 people because, contrary to expectations, our planned restaurant was closed. The reservation by telephone was extremely friendly, and the evening on site left nothing to be desired. The food was excellent in all respects, there was a small play area for the children and the service was courteous and friendly - great! We'd love to come back next time, with accommodation too!

So I have to say the room was really disappointing and we were about to leave. According to the motto “it’s just for sleeping” we stayed. The mold in the bathroom is really a disgrace for the price. It's a shame because we were very satisfied last time and booked again because of the experience. But let's think twice about that now.

We are now regular guests at the beach hotel and have been here many times. Mostly over Easter. The hotel consists of the main building and the Pension An Board. We usually have the family room in the guesthouse. The Weidmann family and their team work hard to ensure that their guests have a pleasant stay.

Canned soup boiler, this one with freshly cut sausages from the jar. If you want more, be careful. Back then there were still trying cakes.

We went to the hotel restaurant for dinner. The preparation took a little more time than usual, but the waitress informed us of this when we ordered. The food was outstanding, hot and to the point. A little less salt would have been good, but as we all know, this is a matter of individual taste, so it has no influence on the rating. You have a view of the beach, but the beach parking lot is in between. The restaurant is quiet, although there were only a few other guests there.

The Strandhotel Dangast is a very great hotel. The service is impeccable, all the employees are very friendly. The breakfast buffet is very extensive and very tasty. The hotel rooms are cleaned and prepared in great detail by the service during the day. The view from the roof terrace of the promenade and the Wadden Sea (Jade Bay). Highly recommended. We were there for dinner. Unfortunately, the stews that were available last year are no longer on the menu. In general, prices have risen everywhere. It was tasty nonetheless. If the weather stays like this then there will definitely be coffee and cake or ice cream this week.

Nice family-run house with good restaurants.

We had a wonderful evening with friends at the buffet at the beach hotel. The buffet was not only extensive, but also of excellent quality. The selection ranged from juicy steaks and shrimps to tender plaice and a variety of starters and delicious desserts. The dining area was modern and spotlessly clean, and service was always attentive. The atmosphere was really pleasant and welcoming. At 30 euros, the buffet may not be the cheapest, but it is worth every cent. The beach hotel is a location that is often overlooked. Keep it up, we'll be happy to come back!

We spontaneously went to the Strand Café for dinner on Monday evening without a reservation and were warmly welcomed. The atmosphere was relaxed and child-friendly - which we were particularly happy about as our two-year-old son was very “active” and the team still remained totally relaxed. The food was great: We had the Dangaster fish platter and the salad with salmon, both came hot and tasted really good. There was a quick saying about the Frisian spirit that rounded off the evening perfectly. A great experience for the whole family – we would love to come back!

My wife and I were looking for a hotel in a good location at the Jade Bay in Dangast for a break of 3-4 days. The beach hotel was ideal for this, so we booked a double room there. Our room is modern and comfortably furnished. Well maintained and very clean. The breakfast buffet really impressed us. Wide selection and something for everyone. We haven't seen that often. The dishes offered in the restaurant are delicious and the eyes are also spoiled. A buffet is offered on certain days of the week, which we also rate as an absolute must. The direct lake view from our double room, the always friendly and attentive service throughout the hotel including the restaurant and room service, leave nothing to be desired for us. We will come back to this great hotel with the extremely friendly staff.

For many years it has been a 'must' for us to end our last evening in Dangast at the beach hotel. It's the icing on the cake after a wonderful holiday. The service staff is very friendly and accommodating; the food (buffet) is of high quality. There is a large selection and there is something for everyone - whether you are a fish or meat lover. When it comes to desserts, you are not limited to those on the buffet; you can also have ice cream put together. We look forward to our next 'last' evening.
