Sticks'n'Sushi in Berlin

A lasting experience! The reason for the visit was an invitation to the traditional Japanese "KEIRO NO HI" holiday. This day celebrates the life experience and contributions of the older generation. A great idea! The food, service, and ambiance were great. A place to return to!

This is our third time at this restaurant because the food is truly outstanding. The sushi is among the best we've ever eaten. Unfortunately, our visit this time was very disappointing due to the service. We ordered appetizers and sushi and specifically requested that everything be served at the same time, as we know from experience that there are often long waits between courses. Even so, half of the food didn't arrive for 30-40 minutes, and we had to wait another 40 minutes for the rest after we'd already finished the first portion. Even more disappointing was that the waiters completely ignored us during the entire meal, or no one asked if everything was okay or if we needed anything else. It's a shame, because the food is truly fantastic. But for the price, we expect much more.

A disastrous experience at Sticks'n'Sushi Berlin – never again. We were actually looking forward to a relaxing evening – but what awaited us at Sticks'n'Sushi was, unfortunately, the exact opposite. The start was already rocky: The drinks arrived much too late, even though the restaurant wasn't crowded at the time. When we tried to order our menus, we were told that some of the options offered were unavailable. Instead of a solution or an apology, we were offered an additional charge to switch to a different menu – seriously? The service topped it all off: virtually nonexistent. Long waits, no attention, zero customer service. Our inquiries went unanswered, and there was no interest in our experience. For a restaurant in the upper price segment, this was simply embarrassing. Conclusion: disappointing, unprofessional, not even close to worth the price. Berlin has many good addresses – this is not one of them. PS .. my (made) criticism “in the restaurant” was not addressed in the slightest… here a lot of facade is maintained and little cooking and delivery..:

Good sushi—not the best in Berlin, but if you're looking for a fun night out with the girls, this is definitely the place. It's also a great spot for a date. The ambiance is really nice, and the food is good, too.

Unfortunately, it's very overrated. The basic concept with the dishes and outdoor furniture is nice, but a good restaurant needs more. The service is unfortunately more like a pub, everything is very casual. The sushi itself is truly made-from-steam. The maguro tasted like plastic. Unfortunately, it's far too expensive for that, as there are many good restaurants in Berlin these days. More for tourists and walk-bys, but not for a Japanese meal with good sushi in Mitte.

I was there for a business lunch, and everyone was very impressed. We ordered several dishes to share. These dishes didn't arrive at the same time, but that wasn't a problem because sharing meant we all had something to eat right away. Everyone at the table rated the quality of the food as very high, if not top-notch. We sat outside, but the ambiance inside also looked quite good. The service was international; only English was spoken and understood, and very friendly.

A fantastic sushi shop! The quality is truly outstanding – everything was fresh and the taste was of a very high standard. I was particularly impressed by the unusual menus and creative dishes that you won't find everywhere. We visited the branch on Torstraße, and according to the information, all locations are of this top standard. I highly recommend this shop – I'd be happy to go back!

First it wasn't my favourite s'n's in Berlin but it really improved over the last year. Outside area is prime, service very professional and food + cocktails top quality.

We went to this restaurant yesterday, we were very disappointed from the service of our waitress. First of all, the portions of the meals didn’t match the price, the meals were very very small! The meals weren’t worth the prices. Plus, we asked sauce for the sushi and we were surprised to find out that they cost money each one. She didn’t inform us that it’s an extra money. Unfortunately we left hungry. Moreover the sushis fell apart. There was one waiter who apologized for the waitress behavior and we really appreciated it.

Hey, I would like to share a bad experience I had in this restaurant yesterday. Unfortunately I was very disappointed, the service was bad, especially the blonde waitress that talk unrespectfully and blamed us about something that she didn’t bother to say. It was a bad experience!! She charged us extra money without saying first. And I need to say that there is one waiter that helped us and explained properly so we thank him. I wish anyone else will not have this experience in this restaurant.

Overall a good experience, with some ups and downs. We ordered quite a bit: 4 appetizers, the mini maki mix, 2 skewers, and sashimi. The Wagyu bites were definitely the highlight—great quality and full of flavor. The sushi set was a bit disappointing for me personally; it felt too westernized, though the fish overall was fresh and of good quality. Service was very kind, though one thing left a bad impression: toward the end, one indish waiter was overly pushy about dessert. We had already said no three times, but he kept asking. I understand the upsell, but it became too much and created an awkward vibe for my wife and me at the end of the meal, instead of a sweet ending. That said, mistakes happen, and it nearly ruined the whole experience. All in all, still a good meal with mostly positive points.

There's sushi and there's sticks'n'sushi. Of course more expensive than “normal” sushi but every extra euro was worth it. What a taste experience! Sushi2. 0. We had a fantastically delicious evening. Thank you for letting us find out that there is more to sushi.

The worst restaurant, I suggest you to spend your money somewhere else ! One of the worst experiences in Berlin ! Sushi rolls are so average and service is terrible, had to wait 45 minutes to get my order and they were not even bothered apologising! The managers seemed unbothered, the workers looked unmotivated, the service was a disaster!! I don’t know why this place is so hyped but I would never ever suggest this place to someone. Take my word and never ever go to this restaurant!

Nice restaurant, you can also sit outside. It's a bit noisy inside at prime time, but there's still a good atmosphere and all the dishes are very tasty, although quite expensive.

I went there with a big group of 12 people and it was great! Super easy to book and pre order food, we were also able to order more once we got there but the portions of the menus are perfect to share in big groups! Everybody left happy and full! would highly recommend :)

Quality food. Munden does it brilliantly, no matter how it looks. The courses also ran smoothly and the service was always attentive.

Disappointment across the board – Sticks’n’Sushi Berlin wasn’t worth the evening. We were really looking forward to a nice evening for two - but unfortunately it turned into a complete annoyance. The drinks came far too late, the staff seemed inattentive and barely present. As if that wasn't enough, the menu we had chosen wasn't fully available - and instead of offering us a fair solution, they even wanted to charge us extra for the change. The service? Practically non-existent. It felt more like we were intruding than welcoming. No real interest, no apology - just unkindness on a consistent level. When it comes to prices, I expect a completely different level - and this was far from it. Conclusion: once and never again. There are enough places in Berlin that understand genuine hospitality - unfortunately this is not one of them.

I recently visited the restaurant and unfortunately had a somewhat disappointing experience. We had to wait nearly an hour for our rolls, which was quite frustrating. When the food finally arrived, it wasn’t bad, but it didn’t stand out either. The sushi was pretty average compared to other sushi bars in the area. Given the many great options nearby, I’m not sure I would return here anytime soon.

Freshly prepared sushi of top quality. The service was very courteous and attentive. We felt very comfortable and will come back.

Sushi at its finest. I don't know of a better sushi restaurant. Every creation is visually pleasing and tastefully refined—a culinary masterpiece.

I’ve always passed by with curiosity, and today I decided to give it a try. The ceviche was small portion, But had a really amazing taste, the shrimp tempura was also really good, and my waiter from India was a really nice and amazing guy. He certainly deserves a lot from the restaurant as he aggregates so much niceness and lovely energy, will be back soon !

I had a good birthday dinner here with my family. The staff was very kind to the kids and delivered a fast service. We enjoyed a set menu for two adults and set menus for two kids + several single dishes. Everything was pretty decent, except the shrimp sticks had no flavour and the sushi could also be improved. Other than that, everything was on point and we enjoyed the experience. Our bill was 185€ for 3 adults and 2 kids. No alcohol or desserts were consumed.

So unfortunately we had a very incompetent waitress who did almost everything wrong with our order, things were forgotten that were on the bill, then we had a used lime on our plate, the waitress walked past the finished food several times, even though we had seen that it was ours. After we asked, she always said the food would come in 2 minutes. In total we waited over 45 minutes for our sushi even though the shop wasn't completely full. And what's more, the waitress couldn't speak a word of German. I know the sticks n Sushi at Potsdamer Platz where everything is always 100% to my satisfaction, so unfortunately it's not the same level

GREAT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE! IT WAS SIMPLY GREAT!

What a disappointment and an indictment to leave a father and child standing in the snow! Bad service coupled with rudeness. We ordered takeout and my husband left with our infant on time to pick him up - only to have to wait 30 minutes in the cold and snow. He wasn't allowed to wait inside and was then informed with no apology or alternative that it would be another 30 minutes. After an hour outside, both came back cold and without food. A sad sign of a lack of basic decency!

I like the concept of Sticks n Sushi but feel like the quality of the food and ingredient selection has declined or there is too much reliance on its success and reputation. Unfortunately not as good as it was 4-5 years ago (at a different location). It's still good but the price is too high.

Too overrated place to be honest. The taste isn’t impressive, just like a regular delivery in Berlin, but you gonna pay a lot for such quality. When you look at the menu, you are getting really excited to get this food as soon as possible. However, the expectation and reality are not matching! Talking about the service, it’s also not nice at all. It’s not polite and you are waiting for a really long time.

Delicious Japanese food with a Danish twist. We've tried several dishes on the menu and everything's been very tasty so far. The cocktails are imaginative and very nicely mixed.

Nach mehreren Besuchen leider folgendes Muster festzustellen: Service behandelt nach Menge an Bestellung und wartet bei Bezahlung aufs Trinkgeld (ist es weniger als ein bestimmter Betrag, gibt es weder ein Danke, noch ein nettes Auf Wiedersehen). Schade! Essen steht bei mir aber im Vordergrund und das ist unfassbar lecker!

Set for success Menue, a very diverse mix throughout the whole menu. It was a pleasant experience with friendly staff and excellent food. Will come back for the yuzu merengue cake (dessert).

Great restaurant, delicious food. There is only one star deducted because we unfortunately forgot two courses even though they were announced with a 5 minute waiting time. After a friendly reminder, they came and there was ice cream to compensate. We'll come back and maybe it'll be enough for the 5th star 🤗

New favorite spot for sushi in Berlin.

Unfortunately the fish on the sushi had no flavour at all, the texture was off and made it feel like fake fish.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at SticksNSushi at Torstraße and it was a great experience! The food was absolutely divine, with every dish bursting with flavor and prepared to perfection. The ambiance was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for an enjoyable evening. What truly set this visit apart, however, was the outstanding service provided by Ahsan. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared about ensuring that every guest felt welcome and satisfied. His dedication and effort added an extra layer of excellence to the evening. As they say, “Happiness is not just in the food you eat but in the company and care you share it with.” Thank you, Ahsan, and the entire team!

Interesting options of cold and warm dishes. The cold ones were my favorite, and so were the Edamame with that smooth smoky flavor. Our waiter did a great job recommending a few options and was super attentive. Thank you very much for contributing to a nice night out Ahsan.

The sushi was incredible like their other branch in the Potsdamer area, although I felt it had little less options, either way service was great, the atmosphere is lovely. But I would skip the creme brulee, it was disappointing, the flavour of the top part reminded me of burnt Brownies and the thinnest layer of creme beneath it On the plus side some of my friends were vegan and were very happy of the choices they had in the menu

My husband and I enjoy eating at Sticks n Sushi and today Ahsan was a great waiter and really took care of us. We enjoyed our lunch the food was great my only complaint is that I’m not a huge fan of the new menu I much prefer the old version of ‘Robust’ but that’s just my option and we will happily return.

Have visited Stick and Sushi multiple times in Berlin and London. Overall, very good. My best sushi spot to go. But, Today was a big surprise for me. Had a glass full of finger prints, obviously, they had to change it, then the warm towel came with oil stains on it and my first time experienced salmon nigiri with bone inside. Told the waiter, but never got back to me. I understand the hygiene can happen in any restaurant due to lack of responsibility. But, salmon nigiri with bone might be my bad luck or? 🤣

The restaurant is located very close to Rosenthaler Platz. The ambience exudes calm. Friendly service and delicious dishes round it off. I would love to come back here.

Fantastic food - every dish has a special touch and you would love to try everything on the menu. The starters were a special highlight for us. It's best to share everything so that you can order as many different things as possible. The service is great and delivers everything quickly so that there is never any idle time. Will definitely come back!

Incredibly good food, brilliant menu, best sushi I've ever had with a conscience. The location is so tasteful and cozy. The service was very attentive at the beginning, but not so much towards the end. We were there with 6 people and paid €450 including drinks, dessert and 2 menus. We will definitely come back anyway.

The staff take the time to explain the menu, give great recommendations and create a relaxed atmosphere in which you feel completely at home. Every wish is fulfilled quickly and with a smile - you can tell that the team really enjoys their work. The food is also a highlight: fresh ingredients, creative presentation and a variety that leaves nothing to be desired. But it's the service that makes the difference - I've rarely felt so welcome in a restaurant. Conclusion: Perfect place for a special meal, especially if you value excellent service!

The food was expensive, but very good - absolutely recommended for the kitchen alone. Unfortunately, we (4 people) were all disappointed with the service. The waiting times were very long, and in the end we even had to wait around 30 minutes for the bill because the waitress had finished work. Additionally, the menus were sticky, as was the table - which further marred the experience. It was also a bit strange that we were only served in English. It would have been nice if at least basic knowledge of German had been available - that would also show a certain level of commitment to the guests. Very unfortunate. Therefore, based on the service experience, I would not come back again.

The service, especially Ahsan and Derel, were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, making sure every detail was perfect without ever feeling intrusive. A small fancy restaurant on Tor-Strasse. A version of Japanese/Asian cuisine is offered, with a somewhat confusing offering. The prices are sometimes absolutely excessive compared to the performance. After a long, perplexed search through the colorful menu, I found a very tasty solution with a miso soup and a salad (a kind of salmon bowl). I found it really incomprehensible that you had to wait half an hour before you could get something to drink. The fact that you are addressed in English as a matter of course seems to be chic in Berlin and is of course not a problem in itself, but it is a bit irritating. The only really positive thing I can say was that the wine was surprisingly good for such a restaurant and actually reasonably priced.

As you can see from my reviews, I enjoy going out and eating well. I'm always happy when I come across a restaurant that offers really good food. But what I experienced here far exceeded many things. We ate sushi here, and for me it was really a new dimension: Sushi 2.0. Not the classic arrangement of sushi that you get everywhere, but prepared, served, decorated differently and incredibly varied and surprising. An experience to try out many small portions. It is prepared with a lot of creativity and surprise. The menus are incredibly well put together, very rich… You should come with a lot of appetite and hunger. In addition, the service was incredibly charming and friendly, who explained everything perfectly and was very entertaining. All in all: absolutely recommended, and I will certainly try out the other locations soon. Until then I have to save something…☺️
