Lovely place, good food. I had a peanut sauce curry and my friend carbonara udon - both mains were great. We had some sushi too - also great!

This is not the first time I've been here, and every time, everything has been incredible, regardless of the order or type of sushi.🍱 You can mix classic and special sushi and still have a delicious meal for €20.

The food is good. BUT: It's not an authentic Japanese restaurant, so be aware of that. If you go in with that in mind, you can enjoy the food. The service was also very friendly!

Mediocre sushi place. The sushi was good, the food was very nice, but the atmosphere killed the experience a bit with mainstream pop music blaring from the speakers. The waiter didn't understand our order and therefore gave us the wrong drink, when we pointed this out to him he changed it, but acted annoyed.

Food was really really good and prices were fine, but the service was awful. Staff barely spoke English, very slow to respond, and nobody cleaned after a spill. Food took ages to arrive, so we ended up taking it to go. Also, no credit cards accepted – really inconvenient.

After going to this Restaurant for the first time, I immediately knew I was going to come back. Today was my second time there and I was just as impressed as the first time. The food tasted amazing and was served so beautifully and creatively. The atmosphere was so nice, the warm lighting and decorations make you feel really comfortable and add to the experience. We were a party of two and started with wonton soup, followed by sushi. I also had a mango juice. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the service was excellent. We sat outside since it was still warm, and the atmosphere there was really lovely.

I discovered the restaurant on TikTok and was eager to try it. It was my very first time eating "real" sushi – and I was absolutely thrilled! 🍣 Everything was super fresh, delicious, and the selection pleasantly surprised me. I can definitely recommend it, especially for people who want to try sushi for the first time.

I think this place stands out for its excellent service. The sushi there tastes truly exceptional and fresh, but the friendly and professional server was the icing on the cake. He gave good recommendations, spoke very calmly and politely, and was very attentive. And all for an unbeatable price. They also offer great lunch menus that are really solid and well-priced. You get a lot for your money here, and all this in Berlin. The atmosphere is fantastic. Highly recommended; the visit was an experience!

The owner of the restaurant changed and thus also the menu was changed. The food is still very good but I miss some of the former dishes - I think it became a bit less outstanding than before. The restaurant has an awesome ambience and the staff was always friendly and fast.

Unfortunately, Roji has declined considerably. I always loved eating here. But now they've changed their menu, both visually and in terms of content. There are no more yakitori skewers. Instead, they've added pizza and curry. They've thus lost their status as a distinctly Japanese restaurant. The menu no longer has any pictures, which I find very unfortunate, and is now only in English. The restaurant is therefore explicitly aimed at tourists. While the food is still delicious, it has also declined. The wasabi, in particular, is bland and dry. The otherwise delicious homemade sodas (limos) don't taste as good anymore either. All in all, you can still eat there. But it's no longer worth the price. Unfortunately, Roji no longer stands out from other sushi restaurants. What a shame!

I love eating sushi at Roji, for me it's one of the top places with Asian food in Berlin and the service is excellent.

The waitress this afternoon made us stand and wait for over seven minutes, even though there were free tables. Overall, she was ignorant, slow, and inattentive to other guests. We went to a competitor, who were super nice and friendly. Employees like that are bad for business!!!

One of the best sushi spots in Berlin! The menu is impressively extensive, and the sushi is fresh, creative, generously portioned, and absolutely delicious. We tried the vegan special platter and the crunchy chicken—both were fantastic, but the avocado sushi and crunchy chicken really stood out. Service was prompt and friendly, and the ambiance matched the overall vibe of the place nicely. The only downside was the drinks—the lemonades tasted a bit artificial. Also, they only accept cash, which isn’t unusual for Berlin, but card payment would definitely be more convenient.

A new dining experience. Interesting sushi variations. Particularly delicious and presented differently. Everything was great, but the last flight of stairs to the restroom was impossible. One last deep step that wasn't specifically marked...and the last flight of stairs without a railing in the dark...I tripped! That was very painful!

Top food, very nice and polite service.

We had a really lovely evening at the restaurant! The service was super friendly and took great care of us. There were ten of us there, including three lively children between 4 and 7 years old. The kids were quite loud at times, which was a bit stressful for us, but the service staff were really kind and patient with them. We thought that was great! The food wasn't absolutely amazing, but we enjoyed it and it met our expectations. The value for money is definitely good. We'd be happy to come back and can recommend the restaurant!

There were eight of us and we got a very good seat. The waitress was very nice and friendly. The service was very good and the food was delicious. We were all full. It looked very clean and had a very traditional Japanese feel. If it's your birthday, you even get a little extra show and an extra selection of sushi. The drinks were delicious and refreshing. Another waiter also gave us a few suggestions for other drinks, such as plum wine or traditional sake. It was very nice, but unfortunately the price wasn't that attractive since you only accept cash. It was delicious and nice, and I could imagine going there again 👍.

First visit to Roji. Roji platter for two. Quite delicious. At €30 per person, it's a bit pricey for sushi, but the rents force the owners to do it. Unfortunately, a Berlin problem. But it's beautifully presented and a little experience. Worth a try. There are other options, and above all, many great specialty products that stand out from other providers. Attentive service with wit and charm, and above all, the new owner is very committed to hospitality and a feel-good experience. As we know in Berlin, that's not exactly the norm. They're working on a new concept for all neighbors, guests, and friends, and I personally wish them much success and look forward to the new offerings. I'll definitely go back!

I've been coming here for almost three years. The ownership changed in January 2025. Lia (I hope I got the name right), the new owner, is sooooooo nice. Truly a lovely person. She took time for us, went through the menu with us, and shared her plans for the restaurant. A pleasant person. The food is amazing as always, the soups are simply delicious, the aloe drink is simply amazing, and the two waiters and waitresses this evening are polite and very pleasant. We even had a bit of small talk. I feel at home here and will definitely come back again 🥂.

In my opinion, this is some of the best sushi in town. You can watch the chefs preparing the sushi, and I always order the platter based on the chef's recommendations. 😍 (Believe me, you won't regret it 💕) There are vegan and vegetarian options that are equally delicious. The staff are super friendly, and you're well looked after. A highlight is the decor and the lucky cat with a maximum bicep circumference. 😂

The sushi was good; you can't go wrong with tuna maki and a crunchy roll. For my main course, I had udon noodle soup with ebi tempura. It was simply a vegetable soup with chunks of broccoli, zucchini, and carrots plus udon. No subtle dashi broth flavor, mushrooms, just two small pieces of seaweed. No spring onion or egg – the justification was that it was fusion cuisine. Charging a whopping €15 for that? I'll make it for you for €3! Oh, and I forgot the two ebi tempura, which weren't even in tempura batter, but in a thick panko breading. What a shame! If the service had been friendly, I wouldn't have written anything. But on top of that, there was such an arrogant attitude, which didn't help the place fill up.

Unfortunately I wasn't as satisfied as I had hoped. The service staff was very mixed, which isn't bad, but unfortunately very unreliable. We waited 25 minutes for a portion of rice. The menus urgently need to be renewed. Price performance not satisfied. The toilets need to be checked more often.

Me and my girlfriend found the restaurant randomly while walking in the area and decided to check it out. The atmosphere was authentic, the music was matching my taste. Service was friendly and quick with the orders. Prices might be a tiny bit higher than other Asian restaurants around but it was worth it. Udon tempura rocks. The only negative might be that one can pay only cash, cards are not accepted.

The best Japanese restaurant in town. The presentation is always a beautiful show that whets the appetite. Just like the Japanese decor. The waiters do a great job and take excellent care of the guests.
