Stella Ristorante in Leipzig

For the time being, this is our favorite Italian restaurant in Leipzig. The food is superb, the pizza crust is to die for, the espresso is top-notch, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the service is simply excellent!

What amazing service! I've rarely experienced such warm and attentive service. Our pizzas arrived shortly after our drinks, all in under 20 minutes, even though all the tables were full. My daughter even got a small cocktail – wonderful! Thank you so much, we'll definitely be back! ❤️🙏🏻

There were four of us, and we were given a lovely table and very attentive service. The goat cheese and walnut appetizer, the pizzas, and the tagliatelle with clams were all excellent – ​​simply delicious. Thank you so much, we'll definitely be back.

This is where Bella Italia shows itself at its best—by which I mean the quality of the food, drinks, and service. I immediately felt at home and comfortable here, and was greeted promptly and shown to my reserved table in a quiet location. The staff is polite, accommodating, and accommodates even small special requests.

How do I check the quality of an Italian restaurant before going? Open the menu and look for carbonara. If it lists anything other than guanciale (or pancetta), egg, and pecorino (or Parmigiano Reggiano), you can skip the visit. If you forgo the traditional ingredients for this simple dish, the rest probably won't matter. The food may still be tasty, but if the slightly more expensive original ingredients are replaced with cheaper ones...

I've been to Stella Ristorante many times. The staff are all super friendly. A very nice atmosphere and delicious food :) Highly recommended!

The food was incredibly delicious, but the service was sometimes very bad-tempered and unfriendly. We had to wait forever to pay, but it wasn't a big deal since we had time. As an apology, we were offered schnapps.

The three of us ate the antipasti for two people – it was plentiful and included fresh ingredients. Truly delicious. The pizza was incredibly tasty! The pasta was also supposedly very good. The waitress – a young woman – was excellent, asked questions, was attentive, and was helpful with the management and the wasps.

Four of us arrived on a Saturday without a reservation and got a lovely table by the window. The staff was extremely friendly, the food was delicious, and we finished with a glass of limoncello on the house. We've rarely eaten as well in Italy as we did here. 5 full stars, our utmost respect!

Dear Stella Team, Thank you so much for the wonderful service and the delicious food. We were there with 27 people (23 children and teenagers) as part of the gymnastics festival, and the service, starting with the reservation, was excellent. We all had our drinks and food within half an hour, and everyone enjoyed it immensely. We highly recommend the restaurant! All the best! We haven't had such good pizza in a long time. But let's start at the beginning: Even though we didn't have a reservation, they did everything possible to get us a seat. The service was very friendly and attentive. In a pleasant atmosphere, we didn't have to wait long for our drinks and food, even though the restaurant was full. And, as already mentioned, the pizzas were very, very good. If we come back to Leipzig, we'll definitely stop by again :-)

I had the daily special (written on the board in front of the restaurant - tagliatelle with salmon and asparagus). It was outstanding! The salmon is buttery soft, the asparagus is crunchy and the pasta is on point. The bruschetta was also great. The waiters looked after all the guests kindly and diligently. So overall feel good. You may only want to make a reservation in advance if you have several people with you. I came when there wasn't much going on, but that changed pretty quickly. Will definitely come back ;)

We were there this afternoon for our daughter's birthday: upscale ambience, friendly Italian service and acceptable prices. The food was sufficient. We had a starter based on previous reviews that the portions are small; we cannot confirm this. There was even a little congratulations on ordering. It's all homemade and really tasty. We can only recommend Stella and would come back at any time. The food was also served promptly because we were a bit pressed for time. Thank you.

Visité con mi hijo adolescente a las 5 pm un domingo. El personal era abundante, amable y muy eficiente. Tomé una ensalada de pollo y el chico una pizza. No hay que esperar mucho, para ensalada crujiente fresca con pollo abundante, recién asado. La pizza estaba caliente y perfectamente cocinada. Encontré los precios razonables. DEBES probar el tiramisú, está delicioso! Vale la pena visitarlo. ¡Pulgares arriba de mí!

The food tasted very good and special requests are also catered for. The ambience is a matter of taste, for me the tables and chairs were too close together. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for our food and our bill.

We had two great evenings here. Even though it was really full, we didn't have to wait long for a table. The staff was friendly and very quick. We felt completely comfortable and ate very well. Even making a reservation again at short notice for the next evening was no problem. We would be happy to come back on our next visit.

A really nice Italian restaurant with selected food and drinks. Friendly service and a tranquil ambience. Almost pure luxury. The food was super tasty, there was a small bruschetta starter as a greeting from the house. The Italian ice cream specialty Casatta was also very tasty. Recommended, but not necessarily for those on a budget.

Unfortunately I didn't like it and there are a few points I would like to point out: The bread served was reminiscent of a commercially available baked product. Some of the leaves in the salad were no longer fresh. The lasagne was served very quickly, but the core was not always warm. I would have liked the tomato sauce to have a lot more seasoning. Overall, the food selection seemed more tailored to the German palate than authentically Italian. Given my experience, I think the restaurant's average rating is too high. I had the impression that critical feedback might not be welcome. This is a shame because I think constructive feedback can help improve things.

The atmosphere is very cozy and modern. The service is attentive and nice. When it comes to food, special wishes are also gladly implemented and it also tastes very good. Especially the Parmesan wheel pasta!

The food was very, very good, but the service left something to be desired. I don't know if it was because the restaurant was very full, but in my opinion that's apologies. no waiting time of over 30 minutes after you have already informed us that you want to pay. When we were finally settled, the waitress tried to make up for it by offering us a shot. We would like to come back if we were to be there again, but it needs to be reworked a bit as it is not customer friendly and definitely not fun. That wasn't the only thing that happened to us that evening, unfortunately the two people next to us also had to wait so long.

We were there on Valentine's Day. It was nicely decorated and the ambience was very nice. The service, however, was very overwhelmed. It took forever until we could order and that only happened when we asked. We also had to wait a long time for the food. The starter was forgotten and then came at the same time as the main course. The pizza was ok, as was the starter, but the cabonara tasted absolutely nothing like anything. Unfortunately we won't be coming back. Correction: I had previously rated it with more stars but now the rating has been reduced to one star because we were threatened with a lawyer. If you read the reviews you can see that this is a scam. It's better to concentrate on making better food and nice service and taking criticism to heart than covering up bad reviews.

Leider hat mich das Restaurant nicht überzeugt. Schade, dass auf kritisches Feedback nicht eingegangen wird. Ich habe den Eindruck, dass hier rechtlich gegen negative Bewertungen vorgegangen wird, obwohl meine Kritik sachlich und ehrlich war. Die durchweg positiven Bewertungen sollten daher aus meiner Sicht kritisch hinterfragt werden. Zum Essen: Das Brot erinnerte eher an ein handelsübliches Aufback-Ciabatta. Im Salat waren einige Blätter welk und nicht genießbar. Die Lasagne wurde sehr schnell serviert (ca. 5 Minuten), war innen jedoch nur lauwarm. Die Tomatensauce hätte deutlich mehr Würze vertragen. Insgesamt empfand ich die Gerichte als eher angepasst an den deutschen Geschmack als authentisch italienisch. Positiv hervorzuheben ist die schöne Lage an der Karli, jedoch fehlte mir die Liebe zum Detail in der Küche.

I was at the Stella on February 28, 2025 for the Mammoth March. I ate spaghetti Bolognese, it was very tasty, and a dark beer that was very tasty. There was also limoncello on the house, which is rare these days. The prices are good. I felt very comfortable, I can highly recommend it

We spontaneously came for dinner on our first evening without a reservation. That wasn't a problem at all! We were immediately given a nice seat by the window. The food was great! The pizza and pasta were perfect and the price-performance ratio was good! We can highly recommend the Italian 😀

The food was very tasty, the atmosphere was nice and cozy and the service was good. The only complaint was that my pasta was only lukewarm but the sauce was very hot, which made up for it. Portion could have been larger given the price. But otherwise everything was great Ps: the beef fillet was super tender and delicious 😋

Great Italian, in a great location. Very friendly, competent and considerate staff. Beautiful old, high rooms. Big windows. I also like to be outside in the summer. Very tasty food! Good portions, excellent taste. Well prepared. If there's anything left over, it's great to pack up to take away. Any time!

I made reservations for 3 people through their website and then got a call 3.5 hours in advance that they had no seats left. Then what do I reserve for and even get a confirmation! Under all hell.

We stopped here on the occasion of the mammoth march in Leipzig. This was the best decision of the day the night before. Service was great. Super nice and attentive. The birthday child was also very happy about the small gift from the house. Food was great. There was pasta with gorgonzola and chicken. Pasta was al dente, sauce was great, chicken was tender. Next to me there was medium beef steak, exactly to the point! There was really good lasagna across the street. Everything great! For dessert there was soufflé. Warm, liquid core and delicious ice cream. We felt very comfortable in this atmosphere, with great food and drink and top service. Thank you!

I was at Stella's again. Every now and then you have to check whether everything is the same 😚 and what can I say. Perfect service, soooo good food. You are absolutely lucky if Danielo is there. We celebrated my sister's bachelor's degree at this wonderful restaurant and it was just perfect! The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was exceptionally friendly and professional. The meal was an absolute delight. We were particularly impressed by the short waiting time in which the dishes were served without the quality suffering. A big thank you to the entire team - we will definitely be back and can recommend this restaurant to everyone! :)

We went there spontaneously and were happy to get a table. We had to wait a very long time for our food. The waitress offered us champagne on the house for the longer waiting time. I had a pizza half & half. One side had truffles! The pizza tasted very good. There was a DJ playing music next door - which we really liked.

The food was passable, but unfortunately the service was not. My children (1 and 3 years old) were there. No space was made for the stroller, and unfortunately not even after drinks when they were empty. After paying, the table behind us got a lemonade on the house. When we were paying, however, we were told a stupid question about whether we wanted to pay in cash (although no one had asked or said anything about card payments beforehand).

I had tomato soup and some of a friend's bruschetta. For the main course I had the spaghetti scampi. The bruschetta was just perfect, the tomato soup was fresh and delicious. My main course was great. Fresh pasta and crunchy scampi. Service was very friendly, but there are small language problems. My buddy misread it when ordering and thought he ordered something wrong. It was solved very well and he was offered to change his order. He said no and then ate what he “didn’t order”. Nevertheless, the staff brought him what he “actually” wanted without charging for it. There was also extra parmesan, oil, bread without us asking for it. Finally there was schnapps on the house and it was a great evening. Always my pleasure

Sorry but at 4.7 I expect more. Starting with the bread: what felt like baked ciabatta from the supermarket Many of the leaves in the salad were wilted and inedible. The lasagna was there within 5 minutes, but the inside was only warmed up to lukewarm. The tomato sauce that came with it was super unseasoned and had a boring taste. Unfortunately it's one of those Italians that are nothing special and are more Germanized than authentic Italian cuisine. Unfortunately, too little attention is paid to the details. It's nice to sit on the Karli but nothing more.

The staff was almost overwhelmed by the rush of guests for the round of 16 of the European Championship. Orders would have to be placed at least twice or you would have to find a waiter. I can't say anything about the food today because I didn't eat anything. My two friends obviously enjoyed it. A pity...

At first you think it is one of those tourist traps where the only Italian thing is the flag on the menu. But, the food was tasty and made with quality ingredients. Service was also fast and attentive.
