Stella Ristorante in Leipzig

Everything is fine. The three of us came without a reservation. They still didn't send us away and rescheduled something else. Food was also very good. Prices are reasonable.

We were there this afternoon for our daughter's birthday: upscale ambience, friendly Italian service and acceptable prices. The food was sufficient. We had a starter based on previous reviews that the portions are small; we cannot confirm this. There was even a little congratulations on ordering. It's all homemade and really tasty. We can only recommend Stella and would come back at any time. The food was also served promptly because we were a bit pressed for time. Thank you.

The food tasted very good and special requests are also catered for. The ambience is a matter of taste, for me the tables and chairs were too close together. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for our food and our bill.

Sensational food, without exception.

From the aperitif to the long drink, it was a great evening. The pizza is the best pizza we have eaten in a long time. The pasta dish we chose was delicious! The service all around was very friendly and accommodating. Ristorante Stella is absolutely worth a visit!

We had two great evenings here. Even though it was really full, we didn't have to wait long for a table. The staff was friendly and very quick. We felt completely comfortable and ate very well. Even making a reservation again at short notice for the next evening was no problem. We would be happy to come back on our next visit.

A really nice Italian restaurant with selected food and drinks. Friendly service and a tranquil ambience. Almost pure luxury. The food was super tasty, there was a small bruschetta starter as a greeting from the house. The Italian ice cream specialty Casatta was also very tasty. Recommended, but not necessarily for those on a budget.

Unfortunately I didn't like it and there are a few points I would like to point out: The bread served was reminiscent of a commercially available baked product. Some of the leaves in the salad were no longer fresh. The lasagne was served very quickly, but the core was not always warm. I would have liked the tomato sauce to have a lot more seasoning. Overall, the food selection seemed more tailored to the German palate than authentically Italian. Given my experience, I think the restaurant's average rating is too high. I had the impression that critical feedback might not be welcome. This is a shame because I think constructive feedback can help improve things.

The atmosphere is very cozy and modern. The service is attentive and nice. When it comes to food, special wishes are also gladly implemented and it also tastes very good. Especially the Parmesan wheel pasta!

The food was very, very good, but the service left something to be desired. I don't know if it was because the restaurant was very full, but in my opinion that's apologies. no waiting time of over 30 minutes after you have already informed us that you want to pay. When we were finally settled, the waitress tried to make up for it by offering us a shot. We would like to come back if we were to be there again, but it needs to be reworked a bit as it is not customer friendly and definitely not fun. That wasn't the only thing that happened to us that evening, unfortunately the two people next to us also had to wait so long.

We were there on Valentine's Day. It was nicely decorated and the ambience was very nice. The service, however, was very overwhelmed. It took forever until we could order and that only happened when we asked. We also had to wait a long time for the food. The starter was forgotten and then came at the same time as the main course. The pizza was ok, as was the starter, but the cabonara tasted absolutely nothing like anything. Unfortunately we won't be coming back. Correction: I had previously rated it with more stars but now the rating has been reduced to one star because we were threatened with a lawyer. If you read the reviews you can see that this is a scam. It's better to concentrate on making better food and nice service and taking criticism to heart than covering up bad reviews.

Leider hat mich das Restaurant nicht überzeugt. Schade, dass auf kritisches Feedback nicht eingegangen wird. Ich habe den Eindruck, dass hier rechtlich gegen negative Bewertungen vorgegangen wird, obwohl meine Kritik sachlich und ehrlich war. Die durchweg positiven Bewertungen sollten daher aus meiner Sicht kritisch hinterfragt werden. Zum Essen: Das Brot erinnerte eher an ein handelsübliches Aufback-Ciabatta. Im Salat waren einige Blätter welk und nicht genießbar. Die Lasagne wurde sehr schnell serviert (ca. 5 Minuten), war innen jedoch nur lauwarm. Die Tomatensauce hätte deutlich mehr Würze vertragen. Insgesamt empfand ich die Gerichte als eher angepasst an den deutschen Geschmack als authentisch italienisch. Positiv hervorzuheben ist die schöne Lage an der Karli, jedoch fehlte mir die Liebe zum Detail in der Küche.

I was at the Stella on February 28, 2025 for the Mammoth March. I ate spaghetti Bolognese, it was very tasty, and a dark beer that was very tasty. There was also limoncello on the house, which is rare these days. The prices are good. I felt very comfortable, I can highly recommend it

We spontaneously came for dinner on our first evening without a reservation. That wasn't a problem at all! We were immediately given a nice seat by the window. The food was great! The pizza and pasta were perfect and the price-performance ratio was good! We can highly recommend the Italian 😀

The food was very tasty, the atmosphere was nice and cozy and the service was good. The only complaint was that my pasta was only lukewarm but the sauce was very hot, which made up for it. Great Italian, in a great location. Very friendly, competent and considerate staff. Beautiful old, high rooms. Big windows. I also like to be outside in the summer. Very tasty food! Good portions, excellent taste. Well prepared. If there's anything left over, it's great to pack up to take away. Any time!

I made reservations for 3 people through their website and then got a call 3.5 hours in advance that they had no seats left. Then what do I reserve for and even get a confirmation! Under all hell.

We stopped here on the occasion of the mammoth march in Leipzig. This was the best decision of the day the night before. Service was great. Super nice and attentive. The birthday child was also very happy about the small gift from the house. Food was great. There was pasta with gorgonzola and chicken. Pasta was al dente, sauce was great, chicken was tender. Next to me there was medium beef steak, exactly to the point! There was really good lasagna across the street. Everything great! For dessert there was soufflé. Warm, liquid core and delicious ice cream. We felt very comfortable in this atmosphere, with great food and drink and top service. Thank you!

We celebrated my sister's bachelor's degree at this wonderful restaurant and it was just perfect! The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was exceptionally friendly and professional. The meal was an absolute delight. We were particularly impressed by the short waiting time in which the dishes were served without the quality suffering. A big thank you to the entire team - we will definitely be back and can recommend this restaurant to everyone! :)

We went there spontaneously and were happy to get a table. We had to wait a very long time for our food. The waitress offered us champagne on the house for the longer waiting time. I had a pizza half & half. One side had truffles! The pizza tasted very good. There was a DJ playing music next door - which we really liked.

The food was passable, but unfortunately the service was not. My children (1 and 3 years old) were there. No space was made for the stroller, and unfortunately not even after drinks when they were empty. After paying, the table behind us got a lemonade on the house. When we were paying, however, we were told a stupid question about whether we wanted to pay in cash (although no one had asked or said anything about card payments beforehand).

Have been there several times now and I think it's great. I can't rate the ambience inside because we always sat outside. The food was very fresh and came quickly. I had tomato soup and some of a friend's bruschetta. For the main course I had the spaghetti scampi. The bruschetta was just perfect, the tomato soup was fresh and delicious. My main course was great. Fresh pasta and crunchy scampi. Service was very friendly, but there are small language problems. My buddy misread it when ordering and thought he ordered something wrong. It was solved very well and he was offered to change his order. He said no and then ate what he “didn’t order”. Nevertheless, the staff brought him what he “actually” wanted without charging for it. There was also extra parmesan, oil, bread without us asking for it. Finally there was schnapps on the house and it was a great evening. Always my pleasure

Sorry but at 4.7 I expect more. Starting with the bread: what felt like baked ciabatta from the supermarket Many of the leaves in the salad were wilted and inedible. The lasagna was there within 5 minutes, but the inside was only warmed up to lukewarm. The tomato sauce that came with it was super unseasoned and had a boring taste. Unfortunately it's one of those Italians that are nothing special and are more Germanized than authentic Italian cuisine. Unfortunately, too little attention is paid to the details. It's nice to sit on the Karli but nothing more.

Can only give one star. Food was only lukewarm, the shrimp was almost raw. Some of the plates were broken, so we had to return the food because there were shards in the food. Otherwise, the service was totally overwhelmed and unfriendly. Not again. Yes, the cocktail was delicious.

The staff was almost overwhelmed by the rush of guests for the round of 16 of the European Championship. Orders would have to be placed at least twice or you would have to find a waiter. I can't say anything about the food today because I didn't eat anything. My two friends obviously enjoyed it. A pity...

At first you think it is one of those tourist traps where the only Italian thing is the flag on the menu. But, the food was tasty and made with quality ingredients. Service was also fast and attentive.

We were here 3 times last year in 2023. It was really everything! Excellent This year 2024 we were disappointed, food not seasoned, new waiters and probably a new chef. Very unfortunate.

My cabonara was lightly salted and I felt like it was made with cream. We weren't treated very kindly either. The waiter seemed very stressed, we clearly stated several times that we had time and it wasn't a problem if it took longer. But it would just be nice if you were treated kindly. The general ambience is a mixture of urban street style and brick and not very traditional.

We had lunch at Stella today. If you like delicious Italian food, you're in good hands here.

Since we had a vegan in the group, we asked when we entered whether they had anything vegan on the menu. That was answered in the affirmative and we were placed. Afterwards we were served very unfriendly and there were still confused questions about the vegan food. If they didn't want to do that, they could have simply said at the beginning that the place wasn't suitable for vegans, then we would have moved on. The food felt like it was thrown at us. He also printed out the bills and threw them on the table so we should divide them correctly ourselves. When we wanted to pay with the card, there was more complaining. The food itself was good, but unfortunately the service was so unfriendly that I didn't want to go there anymore.

Wir waren mit Freunden im Stella. Die Pizza ist anscheinend empfehlenswert. Der Rest höchstens Durchschnitt bei doch recht hohen Preisen. Ich hatte die Tagliatelle mit Steinpilzen in Trüffelsauce. Gewürzt habe ich das Essen am Tisch. Die Pilze waren sehr matschig. Mein Partner hat sich für das Rumpsteak mit Kartoffeln und Grillgemüse entschieden (27 €). Gewürzt wurde auch hier am Tisch. Kartoffeln/Gemüse lauwarm und unknackig. Beilagensalat nicht angemacht. Fleisch war iO. . Bedienung freundlich und aufmerksam.

The atmosphere was very appealing and the service was also great. Unfortunately, the taste of the pasta verde was not convincing, the noodles were quite hard, the sauce wasn't really seasoned and I don't think frozen carrots are particularly appropriate given the price range.

Unfortunately, my Saltimbocca was far too salty and not visually pleasing to the palate. In itself a nice location and good service. I just don't know if I can find Indian operators of an Italian restaurant authentic, which I personally find important.

Sehr sehr leckeres Essen. Die Antipasti-Platte zur Vorspeise ist sehr zu empfehlen. Beim Hauptgang waren die Teller leider nicht vorgewärmt, weshalb das Essen relativ kalt war. Nachspeise war sehr üppig. Sehr aufmerksamer Service. Alles in allem ein gelungener italienischer Abend.

A beautiful, stylish restaurant with great service and great staff. Yesterday the four of us wanted to spontaneously eat something. Even though the restaurant was apparently full, the staff did everything humanly possible to ensure that we still got a seat. Everything went hand in hand and smoothly. The food was extremely tasty and at the end there was a small shot on the house. A great service from start to finish! Definitely worth a trip!

I like to eat there. Pasta is always delicious (see, for example, picture, tagliatelle with shrimp and beef fillet). Personally, I can especially recommend the carpaccio, the best thing I've had so far. The weekly menu sometimes also includes other carpaccio, venison or tuna. This is something for foodies to enjoy. The service takes intensive care of individual customers and doesn't just write down orders. Above all, the gentleman with pigtails and the sweet blonde attach particular importance to the well-being of the customers. On the weekend you can sit longer after work if you want. Top recommendation 👍🏻

On the website there is talk of a traditional, lovingly run Italian restaurant, but the people who work there don't look particularly like traditional Italians. One of my friends with whom I dined there is Italian, of course he tried to communicate with the service staff, which was unsuccessful of course wrong as these are not real Italians. Therefore, one star is deducted for the service and the ambience. There is a further star deduction for the music that is too loud and for having to repeat your orders twice or three times even though you say them in clear and distinct words. Since I myself have a fairly good command of Italian pronunciation, I read him the dish I wanted. After the third time, I pointed my finger at it and he simply replied: A.. so S9?! Without further words... In terms of price it was at the threshold. It doesn't have to be €4.50 for a small beer, €1 less would have made me happier and the pizza should have been €2 cheaper too. Since it had few toppings and the artichokes were only pickled, they tasted far too sour, if they had at least been pickled in oil. The dough for the pizza was also just okay because it wasn't really crispy, so you could take it with you I had to eat with a knife and fork because otherwise everything would have slipped off the pizza. The pizza was nice and fluffy on the edge, but there were some coarse air pockets visible, but these are small things that you only pay attention to if you work in the catering industry yourself. But well, if you want to eat at a supposedly hip Italian restaurant on Leipzig's main street, you can do that. There was another Italian restaurant a few meters further on, where you could see the stone oven in the window as you walked past. Maybe we should have chosen this one instead.

We were there for Valentine's Day 🌹. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, there were helium heart balloons everywhere, the tables were decorated with rose petals and little hearts, nice for the theme, we really liked that. However, there is a deduction in the ambience because the tables were so narrow, you sat close to your neighbor, maybe 15cm away from the neighboring table. Maybe it was just because of the day, but it gave the impression that everything was running smoothly 🙈 The service was very stressful and everything took a while. I'm always of the opinion that you should only accept as many reservations as the quality doesn't suffer. The food tasted good, but the salami pizza only had 6 slices of salami, which we found to be a bit poor. All in all a good restaurant, we will visit again at a convenient time! 🙂

The restaurant was well attended on Saturday evening... despite everything, the service team was well coordinated and always friendly. The only small criticism that took away from the coziness of the whole ambience... was that it was very loud... but the host basically can't help it. We would definitely like to be your guest again on your next visit to Leipzig.

It is the first Italian restaurant in Leipzig I have been to. She made an impression on me. I lived in Italy for 16 years and they really recreated the local flavors. The quattro stagioni pizza is delicious. Plus shrimp risotto with zucchini. Delicious. I recommend to everyone. For the first time, I add an opinion that the price is too low for the quality and quantity.

The tables are a bit close together, but the restaurant itself is pretty, the food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. The staff is very friendly and we got two free rounds of very good limoncello. We were very satisfied and would like to come back :)

We went out for dinner at the weekend and were very impressed. Despite a lot of work, the service was very quick and very friendly. The portions are sufficient and it tastes very good. One of the best Italians in Leipzig!!! We'll be back soon
