Saturday evening, full restaurant, nice atmosphere, very good service 👌 Food good, but still room for improvement. 👈

The food is really good, but the selection is quite small. I also find the vegetarian dishes worse than the normal ones.

Our visit to Lulu Lottenstein was a complete success. The food was not only excellent in terms of taste, but also beautifully prepared - a real highlight. The cozy atmosphere on Karl-Liebknecht-Straße invites you to linger and makes the experience perfect. The service was also friendly and attentive, so we felt completely at home. If you want to enjoy good food in a relaxed environment on the Karli, this is the right place for you. We'd love to come back!

The fish cake was very very dry. The mayo with wasabi was great. Unfortunately not the burger. But it's probably a matter of taste.

We went here for dinner and ordered the veal liver. The food was very fine. The liver was very well fried and the puree had a subtle butter note. Very round dish. All that was missing was a little salt and pepper. But you can help with that. Service was top and very accommodating. We'll be back.

All the pieces of meat looked exactly identical So TK goods When we asked why the supposedly crispy duck looked gray and limp, the only answer was Yes, but that's how it's done in China... Here I don't know... Without words… The cauliflower I had wasn't completely cooked either and the egg that was sprinkled on top also gave me a wonderful stomach ache Dessert panacotta Also thawed TK Invoices were also issued incorrectly and we then had to sort out the incorrectly calculated dishes ourselves Spider threads on the floor and ceiling in the toilet There wasn't anyone there for a long time We're not talking about the men's toilet All in all, an expensive, very disappointing evening! A wonderful evening with excellent food and a very attentive team. It wasn't my first visit to Lulu Lottenstein and definitely not my last. Thank you again for the beautifully decorated table, the birthday serenade and the delicious cake. It was a wonderful birthday. THANKS!!

The food and quality has become significantly worse after the change of ownership. The appearance of the food has also deteriorated significantly.

Wir fast die einzigsten im Lokal und mussten fast eine Stunde (48 Minuten) auf unsere Hauptspeise warten. Dafür war das Essen frisch und sehr lecker. Die Preise beginnen bei 20€, Bürger bei 18,50€ und sind des hohen Preises es nicht wert. Für die Karli sind die Preise einfach (für uns) zu hoch, auch wenn das Essen sehr lecker ist. Eher für gehobene Gäste empfehlenswert.

17 people reserved and waited 45 minutes until we were allowed to order drinks. Food just wasn't good.

No longer recommended after a change of operator and staff. Service is no longer as nice as before and very slow. Then the operator often sits around there and you get the feeling that he is watching his staff - which is good in principle, but it is so obvious and seems unsympathetic. Food is becoming more and more expensive and less and less. Menu is extremely reduced. Unfortunately, Lulu used to be really good - but it's no longer for me as a long-time guest.

Unfortunately not good anymore. Staff overwhelmed even though there isn't much going on. Rolls his eyes when you order something else. Unfortunately the food also turned out bad. That's really a pity!

There were four of us, all the food looked very nicely presented, but all in the same style, from the seasoned meat to the liver to the salad (cheese slices, dried tomatoes/onions as a garnish). The schnitzel was tender and large. Unfortunately, the service showed some weaknesses in terms of intensity of support, communication and skills.

Dishes are ok, but nothing special

After the change of ownership (?) we were very disappointed. The food is overpriced for the rather poor quality. The salad, for example, consisted of 3 lettuce leaves and peppers and mustard seeds from the jar. The waitress tried hard, but was completely overwhelmed to handle everything on her own. It's a shame, we ate very well there last year. Now we definitely won't go there anymore.

We ate well here, nice staff and pleasant atmosphere. You can stay inside or outside.

Unfortunately it's not (anymore) good and I can't really recommend it. Our visits there in recent years have been much better (change of operator!). The map published here is no longer up to date at all and has now significantly evaporated. Unfortunately, most of the pictures of the food are only memories from better times in this restaurant (now you could safely call it a snack bar in terms of quality). I'm sorry, you have to address this directly, the unvarnished truth.

The Lulu Lottenstein used to be a great restaurant... it was! Unfortunately, these days seem to be over, most likely due to the complete change in ownership and staff. The selection and quality of the food doesn't even come close to what it used to be and is at best satisfactory, if not even partially inadequate. That's really, really unfortunate. The service was okay, but nothing more. We were surprised at the beginning. The restaurant used to be almost always full, but today it is yawning empty, and that at prime time. That kind of says it all. I'm really sorry, but this criticism must be allowed and should encourage radical improvement. Ambiance and a good name (combined with laurels from days gone by) aren't everything!

There isn't much to complain about when it comes to the food and service. Everything is never right, that's why five stars. The complaint is that the menu cannot be viewed online, and what can be seen does not exist at all. E.g. delicious tartare

A really cool location in southern Leipzig with fantastic, very attentive staff. The cocktails were excellently mixed and the food… an absolute delight! Definitely worth the price in terms of quality and quantity!

We were very satisfied! The food was very tasty (I particularly liked the vegan options such as the vegan Königsberger Klopse) and the service was also great.

The burger was one of the best I've ever eaten and the service was unobtrusive and friendly, just as it should be.. highly recommended!!

A cozy restaurant with friendly staff and good service. Even though prices are now trending upwards everywhere, they are already slightly above average here. You should also notice this in the food, which unfortunately wasn't the case here. These were pretty average, not something I would spend a lot of money on.

Due to the good reviews, we had high expectations, which unfortunately were not met. The biggest drawback is the prices, which are not in proportion to the performance. Having to pay €30 for a burger with fries and beer is very steep, even if it was tasty. Others had a steak for just under €27, which was also rather disappointing. You can get more for the money elsewhere.

Unfortunately, the kitchen probably didn't know that you have to pound Wienerschnitzel. Meat was also tough and was certainly not from the top shell, but from inferior end cuts. Fries were soggy. Service was subpar. Went to the bar 3 times to order because no one came to the table. By pub restaurant you probably mean service like in a pub and price like in a restaurant.

The spaetzle was unseasoned, but everyone can season their own food at the table. The schnitzel was good, unfortunately the fried potatoes were very dry and partly not completely cooked through. The homemade lemonade (lime-mint), however, was great.

Essen war gut, leider nicht stark gewürzt. Die Creme Brulée zum Nachtisch war leider eiskalt. Der Service war bei vollem Restaurant leider etwas überfordert, daher lange Wartezeiten. Besuch war ok, müsste aber nicht wieder hin.

This restaurant is highly recommended. A fine selection of dishes - the vegan cabbage rolls are particularly noteworthy. But the menu also offers a lot for meat lovers. The atmosphere and service was very pleasant. We thank you very much. We would be happy to come back next time we visit Leipzig.

Maybe we were unlucky on a Wednesday evening, but not an experience that lived up to these great reviews. The food is rather average for a fairly expensive price range, but that wasn't the main problem. According to Google, this is a dive bar restaurant open until midnight. However, the waitresses started pushing the guests out around 9 p.m. They kept walking around and looking at their watches. They literally pulled the plate away from my friend who was still eating her fries. They called for a final round at 9:20 p.m. and began cleaning up, forcing everyone to leave before 10 p.m. In doing so, they completely ruined our plans for a cozy evening, so I don't even bother mentioning little things like mixing a simple order of sparkling water and a still water.

The food was tasty, but very very little for the price. I ordered the chicken roll (or rather chicken rolls) and that was more of a portion like a starter and for €20. We're going to eat somewhere else now, you won't get enough here.

What a lovely stay! The restaurant is very cozy, the service was super friendly and prompt despite the fact that she was alone. A big compliment also to the kitchen, which conjured up something great for me due to my dietary restrictions. We were all thrilled and would love to come back!

Lange Wartezeiten, lauwarmes Essen und geschmacklich lediglich im mittleren Bereich. Immerhin 2 Sterne für die gute und zentrale Lage sowie das nette Ambiente.

Short and sweet. It's worth it! I'm giving it 5 stars because I spontaneously went to eat at Lottenstein with my mom without a reservation. The tip works best in the week Wed-Thurs ;) The food and the homemade lemonade are simply top! The staff is also very friendly and open to questions. Logically on the Karli :D

Wir sind spontan hier eingekehrt. Die Bedienung und das Essen waren hervorragend. Das Ambiente war im Kerzenschein auch sehr nett. Wir kommen wieder.

We spent New Year's Eve in this restaurant for the second time in a row. The service is exceptionally courteous. The pike perch was perfectly cooked and extremely tasty, as was the tasty pumpkin soup. It was particularly pleasing that we were able to reserve the table from last year. A successful evening – we will definitely be back!

I'll say it quite clearly if the shop wasn't on Karli it wouldn't survive with this PLV. And that's not because of the service! The ladies were friendly and quick. That's solely due to the food. To be honest, when I pay over 20 euros for a main course that is served to me on a relatively small plate that is half full, I just feel ripped off. I don't want that say that the food tasted bad even though there were hardly any vegetables there were cold and the meat wasn't of any particular quality. What I mean by that is the 5 star reviews are absolutely unrealistic! Kind regards, a restaurateur

Wenn man kein Fleisch essen möchte nicht zu empfehlen. Die Google Angebote gab es teilweise nicht und die veganen Königsberger Klöpse von der Karte vor Ort waren definitiv nichts. Dafür auch zu teuer. Service leider auch medium, denn auch die Fleischgerichtbestellung wurde falsch aufgenommen. Wir kommen nicht wieder, schade.

Es ist war echt toll, von Fachpersonal bedient zu werden. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, wurden super beraten und auch unterhalten. Hier spürte man, wie es ist, Gast zu sein. Das Personal hat noch Freude am Arbeiten im Gastgewerbe. Das Essen war vorzüglich.

Environment good. Service good. But something I want to point out specifically was the liver dish with onions, apple and mash potato. I've never had a better liver dish in my life. I feel it's hard to do it right; to have the right amount of 'offal' like flavour, perfect texture of slightly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Fatty, flavourful but not overpowering like most liver dishes do. The apple and onion balanced the power well. In a rare circumstance, it got to the point where it wasn't about me enjoying it, but wanting to share it as much as I could so others could enjoy. I was in a zone of my mind while eating it and had to round out it out in the top 10 dishes I ate this year. Thanks Lulu.

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal hier essen. Das Servicepersonal war schnell und freundlich. Das Essen, vor allem die Linsen haben nach nicht viel geschmeckt (und diese waren wässrig), da hat auch der Salz & Pfefferstreuer nur bedingt geholfen. Bei dem doch gehobeneren Preisniveau hatten wir mehr erwartet. Lediglich die bestellte Leber vom Schwiegervater soll gut gewesen sein. Die im Google Menü (nicht die Bilder von Gästen, sondern der Button mit vom Unternehmensaccount hinterlegten Speisen) deckten sich auch nicht mit der Karte. Wir haben auf dieser Grundlage vorfreudig reserviert und würden dem Restaurant empfehlen, diese zu aktualisieren.

Kurzfristige Reservierung möglich gemacht (sogar mit einer zusätzlichen Person), super freundliches Personal trotz gefülltem Lokal. Ein Kompliment an die Küche: alles total lecker und gut auf den Tellern hergerichtet.

Seit dem Inhaberwechsel, auf den ich aufmerksam geworden bin, weil das Essen nicht mehr so gut schmeckte, leider kein Highlight mehr. Schade, da ich früher immer sehr gern da war.

Eingeladen zu einer Feier, erlebten wir ein sehr gutes Essen mit ausreichend netten wenig fachlichen Service und einer Ausstattung, die von Schall geprägt, wenig Gespräche zuließ. Das Restaurant war nur zu einem Drittel besetzt und trotzdem laut.

Service ist top ansonsten fanden wir das Essen mitteklasse aber dafür zu teuer. Das Wiener Schnitzel war zäh und sehr dünn, der Burger war durchschnittlich. Das Essen sah besser aus als es war.

Ich gehe seit mehreren Jahren im Lulu Lottenstein essen, oft mit meinen Eltern oder Gästen, die zu Besuch in der Stadt sind, und bin hier immer mehr als zufrieden gewesen. Für mich eins der Aushängeschilder, um in Leipzig angenehm essen zu gehen. Wir sind auch diese Woche wieder zu Gast gewesen und die Erfahrung war wie immer: Überaus authentische freundliche, angenehme Bedienung. Generell sind hier alle Bedienungen über die Jahre bisher jederzeit freundlich und angenehm gewesen (auch die "Chefin"). Das Essen ist immer frisch und lecker. Besonders gut gefällt mir, dass man sich mit der Karte auf weniger Gerichte konzentriert als andere Restaurants, diese dafür aber hervorragend zubereitet und interpretiert. Das Angebot reicht dabei trotzdem von asiatisch über mediterran und Burger bis hin zu deutscher Küche. Die Gerichte sind dabei aber nie fad oder gewöhnlich, sondern immer durch raffinierte Abwandlungen verfeinert. Ich probiere jedes Mal gern ein neues Gericht aus, weil ich mich hier blind auf die Qualität und den Geschmack verlassen kann. Top Küche! Die Atmosphäre und das Ambiente ist in dem kleinen Lokal auch immer sehr gemütlich und entspannt. Die Bar hat eine überaus solide Auswahl. Kurzum: Danke, dass es euch gibt! Eins meiner Go-To-Lokale in Leipzig.

Toller, superfreundlicher Service, leckeres Essen (hier wird wirklich handwerklich gekocht) - was will man mehr? Die Speisekarte überrascht auf der quirligen „Karlie“, das eher traditionelle Lulu Lottenstein mit Fokus auf deutscher Küche bietet aber eine tolle Alternative zu den meisten anderen Lokalen der Umgebung . Wir hatten einen schönen Samstagabend auf dem Freisitz des Lulu Lottenstein und kommen bestimmt & gerne wieder.

Ich war schon länger nicht mehr so gut Essen. Die Zusammenstellungen, bei den Gerichten sind wahnsinnig gut ausgewählt und auch stimmig miteinander. Sie spezialisieren sich auf ausgewählte, dafür aber Qualitativ hochwertige Gerichte und können auch im Preis Leistungs Verhältnis, richtig gut punkten. Wir würden Aufjedenfall wieder hin gehen und es ebenso weiterempfehlen. Danke, auch für den netten Service, bis, hoffentlich, bald wieder.

Jedes Jahr zum Hochzeitstag gehen wir ins Lulu Lottenstein und bestellen auch fast jedes Jahr das selbe. Schmeckt einfach super und der Service ist auch sehr nett.

Die Speisekarte beinhaltet viele kulinarische Highlights. Die Qualität der Speisen hat ein sehr hohes Niveau. Top Reservierung und perfekte Bedienung - auf jeden Fall immer Mal wieder.

Schönes Restaurant. Die Getränke Auswahl war größer alsdie an vegetarischen Essen. Das Essen war sehr gut. Cocktails auch.

Es war eine Empfehlung - eine sehr gute. Schöner Laden, es war voll, aber nicht zu laut, die Bedienung fröhlich und nett, das Essen und der Wein waren sehr gut - auch die Cocktails danach. Auf jeden Fall gehen wir wieder hin, wenn in Leipzig und ich kann die Empfehlung nur weitergeben, es hat alles gepasst!
