Wirtshaus am Monarchenhügel in Leipzig

Ordered food for pickup. Unfortunately, the quality was pretty poor; the schnitzel was very dry and barely pounded. Additionally, each dish was €2-3 more expensive than the menu on the website. €20 per schnitzel without any service (because I picked it up myself) is simply excessive.

Very friendly service. You feel at home and would love to come back. They even handed out Fettbemmer (bread with lard) outside the kitchen...

Wir suchten ein gemütliches Abendessen zu zweit und sind im Wirtshaus am Monarchenhügel fündig geworden. Das Essen war sehr lecker und dsa Preis-/Lesitungverhätnis super. ich könnte mir auch gut vorstellen eine grössere Veranstaltung dort durcjzuführen. Der Wirt ist eine Wucht. Kommen gerne wieder

We were in the hall as part of an event. So it was quite nice. The waitress was very nice. The toilet for guests in the hall is next to the stage. We would have had to walk through the entire full hall. So we wanted to use the toilet in the guest room, but we were forbidden to do so in a very grim tone. Without words...

It takes you back to your youth!

We are used to some grief with unfriendly service from Thuringia, but the service there overshadowed even these experiences. Unfortunately we didn't get to eat. After drinking we had to stop the experiment.

It was remarkable how the team managed the “lunchtime chaos” with the first St. Martin’s geese! It was packed and yet everything went great. The drinks were on the table quickly, but we had to wait a little longer for the food. But we were more than compensated for this with absolutely delicious dishes. We will definitely come back!

It was okay as a dance event. The waitress was very nice, quick and attentive. The band (Beat Sticks) were great. The food was okay, but the drinks were difficult. Aperol was a ready-made product and the beer according to the menu was not available.

Another guest was served the same food I ordered. The only thing missing from the preparation was the gratin and the peas. What can I say, my food tasted like it had been in the oven too long (shoe sole) and I had forgotten the spices.

The food is really tasty and plentiful, it is freshly cooked. Unfortunately you can also tell by the waiting time. But the wait was worth it. What is very difficult is getting someone on the phone to reserve a table.

Back to the past. It was a little journey into my childhood. Very nice host and the food was good too. Gladly again!

I was totally disappointed with the food

Arrived as a group at 7 p.m. on the holiday and wanted something to eat. We were looked at as if we were from the moon and were told that the kitchen would close at 8 p.m. and there would be no more food. Nobody understood, but then we went next door to the rice house, where everyone was nice and the food was delicious!

We spent a very nice evening in the inn, thank you very much for that. The food is home-style and tastes very good. The service is very friendly and pleasant. Wonderful, we would love to come back.

Good dinner and then Bruce Springsteen Night began. Good atmosphere in the hall and fully occupied. The band Four Roses played in the hall on January 27th, 2024 and impressed with rock music ballads from the last decades. The service was served again, the food tasted excellent and enough drinks were brought to the table.

Ein sehr schöner heimeiliger Ort.

That was a really nice New Year's Eve party. With a touch of GDR nostalgia, very funny and great fireworks. The buffet was great.

So great ambience in the form of, I'll say, if you're looking for something nostalgic and want to be full and don't want to pay half a month's salary, you should eat there. It's affordable and really clean and yes, the toilets are very clean and the staff is very friendly accommodating and really friendly, also very child-friendly.

Waren im Rahmen einer Firmenfeier zu Gast. Das Buffetangebot war umfangreich und wohlschmeckend. Der Service aufmerksam. Sehr gern mal wieder.

Wir sind regelmäßig bei Tanzveranstaltungen hier. Die Räumlichkeiten sind groß und eignen sich sehr gut für diese Bälle. Das Personal ist freundlich und immer bemüht, es den Gästen so angenehm wie möglich zu machen.

Das Ambiente (DDR Flair) muss man mögen, mir hats gefallen. Vor allem die Radio Sammlung im Gastraum ist interessant. Sehr gutes Essen und super Bedienung. 5 Sterne für alles 👍

Wir sind spontan mit einer Gruppe angemeldet gewesen und alle waren begeistert. Lecker gegessen haben wir und wurden gut bedient. Die Räumlichkeiten haben Charme und es gibt eine tolle alkoholische Auswahl. Nebenan tanzte der Tanztee vom Nachmittag noch.

Ein sehr gemütliches Lokal!! Sehr gute bürgerliche Küche, und reichlich!! Und sehr lecker!! Und freundliches Personal!!

Gerstern war ein toller Abend mit den Rockhounds. Wir haben viel getanzt und gesungen. Vielen Dank an den guten Service im Monarchenhügel. Die Organisation war wie immer perfekt.

Sehr aufmerksame und freundliche Bedienung. Super leckeres Essen (Schnitzel Typ "Jäger" mit Bratkartoffeln).

Wir waren dort als Familie essen. Die Schnitzelauswahl ist sehr gut und die Preis-Leistung stimmt auch. Es hat ein wenig länger gedauert bis wir uns essen hatten und von der Ausstattung könnte ein wenig aufgefrischt werden :) aber am Bier und dem Essen gibt's nichts zu nörgeln. War lecker!

Die Veranstaltungen sind immer ein Highlight!!!.... und deswegen schnell ausverkauft ;-) Das Essen ist bodenständig, hausgemacht und ausgesprochen lecker. Der Wirt und seine fleißigen Mitstreiter machen alles möglich, dass du dich als Gast wohl fühlst. Freundlichkeit und flotte Bedienung sind hier ganz normal. Ganz dolle Däumchen hoch dafür!

Der Inhaber organisiert für seine Gäste ganzjährig bemerkenswerte Kulturveranstaltuungen zu fairen Preisen. Besuchen Sie diese. Er bietet dabei einen super Service, Speisen schmecken immer. Meine absolute Empfehlung! Nutzen Sie am besten den Vorverkauf beim Ttticketerwerb. Veranstaltungen sind meist schnell ausverkauft! Danke

Urig und gemütlich. Tolle Deko. Netter und freundlicher Service. Das Essen war lecker😋 und es waren sehr große Portionen. Leider waren bei unseren Besuch (3. Advent) 3 Gerichte aus.😥

Viel Spaß bei der Ü30 80iger Jahre Party gehabt. Die Bestuhlung im Saal ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Wirkt etwas wie in der Betriebskantine. Dafür sind Preise noch fair, und das Personal fleißig und freundlich. Wirklich sehr empfehlenswert.
