Waskostdas — unfortunately, a bit too much. The location is ideal, right on the canal with a view of the water. Service was very good and quick. The beer, unfortunately, was flat. The food was okay, like when I was a child at the (only) Greek restaurant in our small town. The love that spoke from the cozy description on the website unfortunately didn't translate to the food. The potato salad was tasty, but otherwise, none of the dishes were truly convincing. The pepperoni could have used more spice, the prasokefte more flavor, the garlic bread wasn't crispy, and I can barely remember the rest. In the end, at €45 per person, the price-performance ratio simply wasn't there.

Just like in Greece. Delicious, fast. The waiters and bartender were very friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely come again. 5 out of 5. Bravo!

It was really good, the food was delicious. What's special about this restaurant is that, like in a tapas bar, you order several small dishes or side dishes and share them... or not 😅 It tasted good, and the service was fast and coordinated. Only when the restaurant got full around 7/8 p.m. did it take a little longer because there were unfortunately only two waiters. I felt a bit sorry for that because one of the waiters seemed to have to do a lot more carrying and running 😅 All in all, I recommend it.

We were a group of nine people on a weekend trip and went there for dinner. We had a reservation and got a lovely seat in the covered winter garden. The tapas-style food, with countless small portions, was very, very good. Anchovies, feta, octopus, vegetarian dishes, skewers, and endless other options left us wanting more. On our evening, it was extremely busy, which overwhelmed the friendly staff, so we waited almost an hour for our first drinks without any explanation. Things like this can be improved, simply through communication. But that's the only criticism. Go there and feast!

The food was really great. Not a lot, so we could order a variety of dishes. The only thing was that there were always empty plates on the table. We'd love to come back.

Very nice Greek restaurant with a great view. The ouzeri isn't your average Greek restaurant, but stands out with its mezza, small portions for sharing. It offers plenty of variety and fills you up quickly 😋 The quality of the food was very good. We enjoyed everything served. A tip for dessert: the tartufo is particularly delicious. What I didn't like was that the waitress rarely came to us. We always had to call them over to be served. It could be better.

It is a place that I will visit again and again. In a very beautiful location, you can eat, 2 meters above the water surface, it has a wide variety for every taste and pocket and everything I tried was delicious. Decided to try this place because of the good reviews, but the experience was disappointing! After being seated, we were left waiting for a while before anyone took our order, and then it took about another 45 minutes for the food to arrive so over an hour from when we first got there. Other tables who got there afterwards were served much faster, which felt discriminatory. The food itself was just okay, not worth the long wait, and overall the place didn’t feel very international-friendly. I wouldn’t return.

The restaurant has modern decor, and you can enjoy a great spot by the Karl Heine Canal. Unfortunately, the individual portions are quite expensive for their size. Furthermore, many dishes lack the nuance of flavor or the finishing touch to justify the price. However, the service was friendly, so I can't complain at this point.

We were here again on Saturday, August 16, 2025, and were once again very satisfied. We received a warm welcome – a great host, always with a smile on his face. Our children felt at home and ran back and forth; even when it was very busy, the staff were always attentive and careful to ensure nothing happened to them (and yes, we did, of course, instruct the children not to stand in the way of the wait staff 😉). And the food: a delight – for the stomach and for the eyes! You really feel like "Mom" is cooking – and indeed, Mom is cooking here. Very, very delicious! The place is beautifully decorated, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the location right on the canal makes you feel like you're on vacation. A place you simply have to enjoy. I can highly recommend the Ouzeri Was.Kost.Das. We will definitely come back when we need that vacation feeling.

There were two of us there and we spent €70. The food was good but not particularly outstanding. It was very expensive, and the portion sizes were quite small. For a tzatziki that cost almost €6, three small balls were a bit small. We had to pay for the ouzo ourselves, which is fine, of course, but for a Greek restaurant with "Ouzeri" in its name, I would have expected at least a small ouzo on the house when paying. All in all, it was okay there. The ambiance is very nice, and the food wasn't bad. However, based on what I've heard about the restaurant, I would have expected a lot more. If I ever feel like Greek food again, I wouldn't go back.

An absolute highlight, not the run-of-the-mill Greek food you'd find in other restaurants, but rather typical Greek small dishes for sharing, all of excellent quality. A lovely terrace for outdoor seating.

A large selection of food and drinks; it's best to share the variety with someone so you can try as many delicious dishes as possible. Very good quality, which is reflected in the price. You can choose to sit comfortably inside, in the courtyard, or by the canal. Friendly staff, and sometimes even street musicians stop by.

It was our first time there. We were a little overwhelmed by the food selection. The restaurant gets a bit louder when it's busy. The food was very, very good and tasty. The price is a bit high. All in all, it was great, and we'll definitely be back.

I went there for my birthday, recommended by my sister-in-law. We ate wonderfully. My lamb chops were delicious, and the sûvlaky (if you spell it that way) was tender and juicy. I tried the others' as well, and everything was expertly cooked. The Santorini wine (don't ask me the name) was truly amazing. The dessert was also excellent. The terrace overlooks one of Leipzig's canals. Service is fast and accurate. The staff is friendly, helpful, and attentive to their guests' needs. Definitely worth a try.

We tasted the impossible. I can say that in 6,000 km of motorcycle travel, I have not found a place that equals this restaurant. Courtesy and dishes cooked to perfection...for example, I have never eaten lamb here. Here I ate fabulous Paidakia.

It was a nice evening with friends, we had a good table outside on the water and were allowed to stay longer than normal, which is probably 2 hours outside. The service was good apart from clearing the glasses, which were left on the table until the end. The drinks were delicious, there was a large selection of ouzo. The only negative point was that the waiter couldn't make a recommendation. The food was good, the portions were small so you can try a lot. The only negative point was that my food was only lukewarm and the stifado, which was listed as a house recommendation on the menu, was a bit bland in taste. The atmosphere was very nice until I discovered all the huge spiders in the dark, and that made me feel a bit strange.

Excellent Greek restaurant! It's something different from the other Greek restaurants you're used to. They serve smaller tapas dishes. But that makes it much more cozy. We ordered a variety of dishes and shared everything. The food was truly delicious, and there was even live music from a band at the end. The service is also very commendable. We'd love to come back! Next time, hopefully outside on the lovely terrace. Unfortunately, it was too cold to sit outside this time.

First of all: The food was really good. We ordered various mezze, and they were all delicious. The points were deducted because there was a large family celebration that evening, so the noise level was incredibly high for a restaurant. Loud party music was playing, and people were talking loudly at several tables. Really disappointing, as my parents and I just wanted to have a quiet meal – there was no mention of the party going on at the same time when we made the reservation. Unfortunately, the service was also unfocused; several mezze dishes we had actually ordered were forgotten. We weren't asked if we wanted any additional drinks.

No Germanized food ala Gyrosbude. We (2 people) ordered something from everyone (8 dishes). A total of €65 including drinks is absolutely reasonable for the quality of the food and the nice service.

We have never eaten so deliciously at a Greek restaurant. Lots of small delicacies instead of big, full plates. We ate with 4 people, everyone could try each other. Everything was delicious without exception. My favorites were the grilled liver with crispy onions and garlic bread. We sat outside, right by the river, with a wonderful view.

It's really not a bad place to sit, you have a nice view, the staff is super friendly and the food is good at fair prices.

Dear Ouzeri team, The food itself was very tasty and the service was also fine. The reason for the rating is that the portions are so small that you leave the restaurant hungry. A piece of meat with tzatziki for €10, without any side dishes. In this case you would have paid at least €25-30 for a normal portion. Unfortunately for a Greek there is hardly any choice and no typical dishes. Basically it tasted good, but the price-performance ratio wasn't right.

A nice restaurant right on the water with a nice terrace. The service was good, but we found the food disproportionately expensive and the mediocre quality didn't justify the price. Example: baked, stuffed mushrooms (only 2 small ones) for €6.80. We only tried vegetarian dishes. So we can't rate the other dishes.

Das Lokal liegt idyllisch, die Atmosphäre ist freundlich, Ambiente nicht unbedingt typisch griechisch, doch einladend. Von den Speisen, die gut geschmeckt haben waren wir trotzdem enttäuscht. Sie waren für mir lieblos andere würden sagen ohne viel SchnickSchnack zubereitet. Nach einem kurzen Gespräch erfuhren wir, dass das Restaurant sich mit einem Konzept der Kleinigkeiten von den anderen Griechen absetzen möchte. Blöd für uns da unsere Erwartungen auf typisch griechisch und nicht Minimalismus eingestellt war 🤷🏻‍♀️ auch kein Ouzo

You can tell that amateurs are at work. We had reserved for 7:30 p.m. and stood in front of the entrance for 15 minutes until we left. People were already queuing up and had all made reservations. When we asked, they said, "Yes, we know, but the tables are still occupied." Then why do you offer the option to reserve a table? The ambience is certainly nice on the water, but it doesn't make up for the poor service.

Man merkt das Amateure am Werk sind. Wir hatten für 19:30 reserviert und standen 15min vor dem Eingang bis wir gegangen sind. Die Menschen stauten sich bereits und hatten auch alle reserviert. Auf unsere Anfrage sagte man, „Ja wir wissen, aber die Tische sind noch belegt“. Warum bietet man dann die Möglichkeit an einen Tisch zu reservieren?

Prices are reasonable and OK. The service was a bit leisurely. It all took a little longer - but we'll be happy to come back!

Food was okay and price/performance is okay, despite sometimes being too cold or boiling hot. It can always happen. There are no parking spaces in the area, but there are even more spiders outside. Later there was live music (about 10 minutes) where one of the musicians went from table to table and asked for a tip with his hand outstretched. A no go for me. Since the food wasn't anything special, I won't come back because of the last two points. The staff was always friendly.

Mini portions, which are very expensive. If you're really hungry, you'll come out of the restaurant hungry with 2 starters and 2 main courses. A stark contrast to the “Greek” as we know it here. More of a type of tapas with a Greek flair. But it tasted very good. However, far too little for the price. In total we paid well over 95 euros (2 people) and left hungry. The souvlaki were reduced to the size of fish fingers (10 euros). The starter consisted of 4 small mushroom heads for just under 9 euros. 6 breaded prawns without anything for just under 13 euros. A handful of fried potatoes and 2 small squid arms for 15 euros. Pita the size of a measly piece of toast cost just under 5 euros. A portion of rice for just over 10 euros. Cheese plate also 8 to 9 euros. House wine cost 10 euros for a 500 ml carafe. We really had to keep ordering again because nothing was filling. We felt very rushed. There was hardly any opportunity for the beautiful ambience. Afterwards we could have easily eaten a pizza somewhere else. The store is recommended for people who have a lot of money and are a little less hungry.
