We've eaten meat here several times, including with friends. The quality of the food and the service were very good.

Delicious food, super friendly staff, and great service. We always enjoy coming back.

The La Plaza Steak House in Opladen is highly recommended! The Lomo al Ajo, in particular, was a real highlight – tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The service was attentive, friendly, and very courteous. We felt completely at home and will definitely be back!

As in my other reviews, I won't go into detail about the menu. It's a classic steakhouse that conjures up every imaginable variation of meat on your plate. First of all: The restaurant is located right next to a large parking lot in Opladen. It's free on Sundays. However, you have to make sure that there isn't a market taking place there. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted by a friendly lady and offered a table inside or outside. We went in and were given a comfortable seat in the middle of the restaurant. We had a reservation, but it was very quiet on a Sunday evening. The restaurant is very well-kept. Modern yet somehow traditional in design. Everything seemed very clean. A nice yet difficult thing: As a welcome, we were simply given a shot of schnapps on the table. It's meant kindly, but not everyone drinks alcohol, and I had to drive. A non-alcoholic appetizer would have been a great alternative here. A nice gesture in any case. The menu - I'll just say - is priced on the higher side. For starters, we ordered bread with dips and bacon-wrapped dates. The bread was on the house, and the bacon-wrapped dates were plentiful. The waiter was definitely an incredibly friendly, witty, and accommodating Spaniard. We couldn't help but laugh a few times at his jokes. For main course, I had a rump steak, and my partner a sirloin steak. Both were medium rare and came with a baked potato. My steak was cooked to perfection. The plates were simply topped with meat and potatoes. No frills. And what can I say? I had one of the best steaks I've ever had. I've rarely eaten such tender meat. My girlfriend's sirloin steak wasn't quite medium. This was also due to the uneven thickness of the meat. Nevertheless, it was tender and delicious. In conclusion, I can only say that we will definitely be back. We chose this place for our anniversary and were not disappointed. The food was incredibly delicious, the restaurant was well-kept, and the staff were friendly. All in all, it was a nice experience.

It was once again absolutely outstanding. Unfortunately, I'm not there often enough, but every time I visit La Plaza, I'm always impressed. Everything we ordered was incredibly delicious. I especially recommend the stuffed peppers with minced meat in sherry sauce... simply fantastic. The chorizo and the appetizer platters were also fantastic.

A good Spanish restaurant with excellent steaks. The fish and seafood are also consistently very good. It's not cheap, but it's reasonably priced. The appetizer platter pictured is large enough for two, but could easily fit four.

Consistently excellent food, meat cooked to perfection and super tender, juicy, and flavorful. The portions are generous! Fantastic service with a sense of humor, which remains friendly and attentive even on busy evenings. We always feel very comfortable here and look forward to our next visit!

Greetings from the kitchen and a nightcap were included and the meal sent two people home happy and full. The ambience and service are of course also great. I would recommend that! 10/10

We had a great evening at this restaurant! The meat was excellently prepared – tender, juicy and full of flavor. The sweet dessert was also a real highlight and a perfect end to our meal. We would particularly like to emphasize the excellent service. The blonde young waitress was extremely friendly, attentive and accommodating, which made our visit even more pleasant. The restaurant is definitely worth recommending and we would love to come back!

We were there for the first time on a Sunday afternoon. The fish soup (starter) was very tasty. Without instructions, our fillets were cooked through as requested, which is something we have experienced differently in restaurants. The lamb shank had a pleasant lamb flavor (certainly not for everyone but we found it very tasty). The service was very courteous and friendly until the last minute (we were the last guests)! Thank you for the lovely lunch.

I think the food at La Plaza is too expensive in terms of price-performance ratio. I also think that the kitchen here makes no effort to prepare steaks starting at 30 euros in any nice way. I would expect that. The service, on the other hand, is super-mega friendly, that has to be said. We sat downstairs several times in an event room, where it was cold and drafty. Sitting with a jacket is no fun.

Our first visit was very positive and impressive. The steaks tasted really great. The starters and dessert were also a delight. Great service nice atmosphere.

I haven't eaten so badly in a long time. Am shocked. I actually went to La Plaza Steak with my wife regularly before the lockdown because the steaks were by far the best in the area, but what I ate today was a disaster! The meat originally tasted like Lidl fillet steak and it wasn't well prepared either. Too bad

The atmosphere is nice, the waiters are very friendly, accommodating and funny. However, there was a problem with the food... piementos tasted like fish, steaks ordered medium were 2/3 raw and the vegetarian sauce with vegetables/rice was inedible. This meal was completely over salted and the vegetables were very mushy and mushy. Eating here is not recommended, especially given the prices.

Unfortunately we had to wait a very long time - for every course. Regardless of whether it was a main course or a dessert, you didn't automatically ask if you wanted anything else. Sometimes the entire table (20 people) had nothing to drink - at the end there were supposed to be small schnapps on the house - unfortunately we never got anything. Unfortunately service only one star. The service came across as very unfriendly.

Very clean and well-kept steakhouse in the heart of Opladen, located directly on the market square. You can also park easily there. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. The service is very friendly and you feel welcome. The food is of very good quality and the price-performance ratio is okay. When the restaurant is busy, the noise level is a little higher, but La Plaza is definitely recommended and an absolute must if you have a craving for steak.

Unfortunately there was a lot of decline... We were there yesterday, left over €300. First the positives: the starters were great. Now the main problem: we ordered tomahawk steak twice, both completely raw on the inside. Then we complained about it, it was taken away without a word and then brought back completely fried and tough. Sorry for a steakhouse this was a complete failure. The best thing is that we actually came for the Wagyu steak, which wasn't there at all, so the question of why it's on the menu is a no go! Even at the end there was no apology or anything. €330 is a huge figure and definitely far too much for this poor performance.

The positive thing is the good food and the price-performance ratio is very good. The negative thing is the service and dealing with a larger group, the staff is completely overwhelmed, they literally throw the bread basket on people's plates, it's rude and the billing isn't correct at the end. And then for no reason to rudely say “You can’t get out of here if the bill isn’t paid in full”… simply impossible when dealing with guests. We are of the opinion that the staff miscalculated and that we as guests had to keep a tally of our drinks ourselves. It's not possible... Conclusion: due to the poor treatment of guests, the restaurant will never see us again

Friendly staff, large selection of dishes, price-performance ratio for some dishes very fair, but also expensive for individual dishes for what you get. The Gorgonzola sauce tastes like a ready-made sauce. The porterhouse steak was cheap, but also tough and tasteless. Overall it was tasty, it just doesn't stand out from other steakhouses.

Ordered steak for over €30, but had no chance of getting tap water - very sad and only worth 1 star for me, even though the food was delicious.

The beef fillet was really good. Unfortunately the tuna steak wasn't good at all, very thin and dry and didn't taste good. I had 2/3 returned. Service wasn't good today, had to go to the front twice to reorder and pay for drinks.
