Hello, I've been asked if I would recommend this restaurant. NO, to anyone who wants to eat something quickly, whatever it is, and force it down, but has to because they don't have time, because it has to be cheap?? I'm a connoisseur, I take my time before and during my meal, and that's what I found there. The steaks were exactly as requested. And finally, one last comment: the service was exclusively male and everyone was on first-name terms. That didn't bother us at all. We'll definitely go back there the next time we're in Leverkusen and hungry + in the mood for something "bloody"...

Our absolute favorite restaurant; we've always been very satisfied with every visit. Very friendly and attentive service, which also gets to know the customers even if you come often. The food is always fantastic value for money. No matter where we've been in the world, there's rarely a restaurant that can compete with our steaks. I'd like to give it more stars. We received a warm welcome and quickly found a table in a quirky corner. Nevertheless, the hosts were always attentive and present without being intrusive. The food was a dream. From the soup as an appetizer to the steak and the sauce, it was a delight. The entire team was welcoming, witty, and never short of a funny remark. I'd love to come back.

We found a seat here late at night and found an open kitchen, which we were very pleased about. The menu is classic for a steakhouse – straightforward, meat-heavy, and quite high prices. The steaks and sides were excellent, only the fries tasted a bit of old grease (perhaps due to the late hour?). The service staff were very attentive and friendly, although I found it a bit overly "wannabe male rough." But it's OK.

The food is so good there; the steaks are all excellent and the service is very friendly. I highly recommend this steakhouse! We'll be going there again and again. We'll be eating there on Friday, May 30, 2025. Mom has a roof over her head.

Super good steakhouse and service is brutally good

It was my first time at this steakhouse and I didn't expect to be disappointed based on the good reviews. Unfortunately the service was more than subpar. After ordering my food, I wasn't even asked how I wanted my meat. That surprised me a bit, but every restaurant has its own peculiarities. I also ordered some water. During the two hours that I sat at the table, I wasn't asked if I would like to drink something else. Since I don't like forcing myself on the service staff when they don't really want to serve me, I left it at that. The food was OK.

We always enjoy coming back. Delicious food of very good quality. It's not a bad idea to reserve a table in advance.

A very good steakhouse that has been in Schlebusch for a long time. A rustic atmosphere, very, very friendly service and the food is amazing. The fillet steak is right on the grill and on the table as desired. Plus a delicious pilsner. Tip: you should reserve.

Nice, cozy atmosphere with friendly staff and good service. We only order steaks whenever here and it has never failed us. It is always done how we wanted it.

Our assigned table was too small for 4 people. The bread served in advance was totally OK, but the 3 very small bowls with the dips were simply not enough for 4 people. A main course was missing beans and salad. And my baked potatoes were served in a porcelain fries bowl instead of being served on the plate with the beans I ordered. I think someone was just a bit stressed. Quality of the food was great.

First, despite making an appointment over the phone, you wait 10 minutes until you come to us to take the drinks order, claiming that you are understaffed, but guests keep coming, no one was turned away! Then you come with drinks that we didn't even order! Sorry, I lost track! Finally the food arrives, which unfortunately doesn't taste good at all! When it comes to the bill, it's not for us at all and we hear that at the next table, one item is overcharged! No thanks, in the future you shouldn't be guided by a lot of stars, these are probably from regular customers, but not from us!

First visit yesterday and we were blown away. Sensational meat quality, grilled to perfection and served professionally. Appetizer and drinks equally great. P's absolute highlight was the pepper sauce, which literally blew me away. We'll be back soon!

My ex-colleague and friend joined me for lunch here recently and we really enjoyed our steak meal. We both parked for free nearby and were welcomed in a matter of fact way in this rather gloomy restaurant. I guess that the poor illumination is to provide some type of special atmosphere. Whatever... We both went for the lunchtime steak menu which comprised a 220g filet steak, chips or baked potato and a side salad. The steak was perfect. I forget what we had to drink. Service was done professionally with a smattering of English once the waiter/owner? realized that we were conversing to each other in our English mother tongue. All good!

I found the selection of starters and side dishes to be quite simple, but the meat menu was very good and also the quality. The only drawback: 2 steaks ordered medium+ were grilled medium. I have to admit I really like this rustic restaurant. My family has been going there for decades. The food is great, the service is great in all respects, always a nice restaurant where you can have a good meal. I recommend using the Don Camillo salad with the steak

Der Laden war rappelvoll, trotzdem bekamen wir zügig die Karte und konnten auch schnell bestellen. Die Wartezeit auf unser Essen war absolut angemessen. Unsere Steaks waren köstlich, begleitet von Ofenkartoffel und Salat. Es hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut in Ordnung. Einzig der Service könnte ein wenig freundlicher sein, war aber insgesamt ok. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

The restaurant is comfortably furnished, the staff is really in a good mood and super friendly. We ordered different dishes, the portions were large and the price was fair. Everything is recommended, especially the shrimp in garlic sauce, the hearts of palm and the French onion soup. We can't complain about any dish, everything was delicious.

Dies war ein Internetfund, nachdem wir heute in der Region angekommen sind. Aber es wird hiermit eine absolute Empfehlung! Wir hatten beide ein Entrecôte. Einmal 250g, einmal 350g, wahlweise mit Backkartoffel oder Pommes. Das Fleisch war von außerordentlich guter Qualität und perfekt gegrillt. So was bekommt man selten! Auf Wunsch wurde frisch schwarzer Pfeffer drauf gemahlen. Die Mitarbeiter waren extrem freundlich, aber nicht aufgesetzt und runden das sehr positive Erlebnis ab. Vielleicht kommen wir sogar innerhalb dieses Aufenthalts nochmal wieder. Und Fotos habe ich diesmal vergessen zu machen, weil es einfach so lecker und gut war!

Es trifft leider nicht meinen Geschmack, aber sehr hochwertige Lebensmittel. Getränke dauerten leider sehr lange, daher ein Stern weniger.

Uhrige Einrichtung die Service Leute sind sehr gut drauf und echt bemüht, kein Stunden langes Warten wenn man noch Mal ein Getränk haben will oder einen Wunsch hat. Steak super Lecker selten so gut gemachte bekommen. Kamm man einfach nur empfehlen ohne den geringsten Zweifel was falsch zu machen für Steak Liebhaber. Früh da sein oder Reservieren immer sehr viel los was bei dem Laden nicht wundert.

Einfach alles ist PERFEKT! Vom Wunsch der Garpunktes bis hin zum letzten Gabelstich. Schmeckt jedes Steak und auch der "Grüne Salat" ist ein wahrer Genuss! Ich komme sehr gerne wieder seit über 4 Jahren. Habe auch schon diverse Bekannte mitgebracht oder hingeschickt! Und das Steakhaus Don Camillo hat mich auch in Sachen weiterempfehlung nicht hängen lassen! Auch die Mitarbeiter sind immer bestens gelaunt und geben einem immer das Gefühl willkommen zu sein.

Sonntag Abend am 03.12.23 hat uns das Rinderfilet sehr gut geschmeckt , wir waren schnell beeindruckt von der Qualität ! Auch die sympathischen Männer in schwarzen Hemden ,sprich Bedienung waren sehr authentisch und freundlich , das ist keine selbst Verständlichkeit in der heutigen Zeit. Das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis ist unserer Meinung gerechtfertigt , Qualität hat hier seinen Preis verdient 👍 Wir waren nicht das letzte mal hier !!!!!!!!!!

Grundsätzlich zu empfehlen, für diejenigen, die wirklich hochwertiges Steak dann aber auch bereit zu bezahlen sind. Das Restaurant mag für viele unterm Radar laufen, weil die Straße dorthin wohl nur von Kunden des Hit-Marktes in Schlebusch angefahren wird. Erstmalig dort, klein und gemütlich, alles eng bei einander, durchaus positiv. Die Karte ist relativ wenig aussagend, statt BuchUmschlag hat der Kellner massive Holzplatten zu schleppen :-D Rein vom Geschmack und von der Zubereitung her, gibt es nur sehr sehr Wenige, die an die Zartheit dieses 350gr Filets herankommen, absolute SPITZENQUALITÄT! Passend dazu dann allerdings auch wirklich heftige Preise, die mich letztendlich erst wieder als Kunden zurück holen, wenn diese TeufelsPolitik (also wohl niemals) etwas für die Gastronomie unternimmt. Schade drum, aber ab 24 wirds wohl auch in diesem SEHR GUTEN Restaurant noch schwerer gemacht werden :-(

Wir waren schon öfter dort. Leider war der Spieß (Rumpsteak) nicht so gut (sehr sehnig). Da hilft wohl nur, direkt ein Filetsteak zu nehmen.

Ich möchte mich zu der Rezension von "Monika Kalender" die hier geschrieben wurde äußern. Den Vorfall vor dem Restaurant habe ich mitbekommen da ich zu dem Zeitpunkt (Sonntag gegen 17:20 Uhr) meinen Kofferaum direkt gegenüber beladen habe. Es ist nicht richtig das sie nur 15 Minuten früher vor Ort war sondern ca 40 Minuten. Das Restaurant öffnet erst um 18Uhr. Zum anderen Ist Frau Kalender sehr ausfallend geworden und hat der Dame des Hauses sogar Schläge angedroht! Sie kann froh sein daß sie nur Hausverbot und keine Anzeige bekommen hat. Ich bin deswegen extra stehen geblieben falls eine Zeugin gebraucht wird. Frau Kalender hat lauthals ihre schlechte Rezension angekündigt und deshalb ist es mir wichtig hier aufzuklären. Es kann nicht sein das ein Restaurant aufgrund von hochkochenden Emotionen die mit dem Essen, dem Service oder dem Ambiente überhaupt nichts zu tun haben schlecht bewertet wird. Die Dame des Hauses hat sehr souverän reagiert und sich auf diesen Streit nicht eingelassen. Bravo

Gemütliches Restaurant mit angenehmer Atmosphäre und wieder ein Filet Steak mehr bei mir.

Gerade hier beim essen...... Perfektes Steak besser geht nicht! Immer wieder gerne so etwas bleibt was besonderes. Soll Heute 3Monate später wieder hier und wieder perfekt.

Waren vor ein paar Tagen im Don Camillo zu Abend essen. Ambiente passte, ggf etwas Uhrig. Das Personal war super. Die Fleischqualität war sehr gut, leider war bei der Hüfte (siehe Bild, nur mit Fritten) die "Spitze" nicht gut pariert und äußerst Kau-Intensiv.. Die Champignon-Soße war ein absolutes Gedicht. Was uns etwas irritierte, ein Salat und die "Sättigungs"-beilage war bei dem Fleisch nicht dabei. Dies muss separat dazu bestellt werden, wodurch der Preis etwas undurchsichtig wird. Als Dessert hatten wir ein Tiramisu, was leider nicht überzeugen konnte, dazu hatten wir noch zweimal die Creme Brulee, die Top war. Alles in Allem hatten wir einen schönen Abend und wir werden definitiv wieder kommen, Potential nach oben besteht noch.

Die Steaks hervorragend zubereitet und schmackhaft wie alle Beilagen. Die Bedienung ist zuvorkommend und überaus angenehm und freundlich. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig.
