Were there with a Groupon voucher. The food was good, not exceptional, but meat was tender. There was also a salad. We found the ice cream portion for dessert to be a bit small, but otherwise there was nothing wrong with the food. Friendly staff and exceptional atmosphere.

Dear ladies and gentlemen, I would like to thank you very much for the warm birthday evening. We were surprised with a small birthday decoration and champagne reception. Then we were given a well-filled menu with something for every taste. We received delicious, warm food, good drinks and the waitress always had a funny saying and we realized that our well-being was the top priority. The food couldn't have been decorated and prepared better, whether it was a starter, mussels, main course or dessert. An experience for our family and our palate. The price was reasonable and standard for the industry. Nevertheless, the greeting from the kitchen, which included a champagne reception and a bottle of wine, was there. We just thought it was a shame that you couldn't pay by card. Still, just great! Thanks for the evening

We were here because we had given away a Groupon voucher for a 3-course meal, but the recipient could not redeem it in time. In retrospect, I'm very happy about it. We were assigned a seat directly at the counter. It wasn't that great but it was ok. The soup was almost the highlight of the menu. Tasty and well seasoned. We were not asked how we would like our steak and therefore expected medium. Unfortunately I have to say, both were almost completely finished. The salad bar was, well, what can I say? Snack style? The fries were ok, but the potato, which had far too little cream, could easily get stuck in the throat. Right from the start, I always used very little cream with each piece of potato. But the worst thing was the alleged tiramisu 😖 I was really looking forward to it but it was a total failure. I have no idea what it was but it wasn't tiramisu. The place was relatively empty since it wasn't even 6 p.m. We had to order all three courses straight away. It always took an incredibly long time until the next course came. All in all we sat here for 80 minutes and I found that to be far too long. The waitresses were friendly but not very attentive. We weren't even asked if we wanted anything else to drink.

We had pre-ordered a 3-course menu. There is a choice of two starter soups, two steaks with various side dishes or ready-made menu plates and a choice of two desserts. For us it became tomato soup, rump steak with fresh mushrooms and tiramisu or tomato soup, sirloin steak with fries and vanilla ice cream with hot cherries. The service was very quick and attentive. Everything tasted excellent and was appetizingly prepared. The prices are reasonable. The ambience is a bit of everything, which makes the whole thing uneasy. But everything is clean and somehow quaint. When we are back in Wattenscheid, we would be happy to come back.

Wonderful, a steak house with a rustic ambience, service attentive and courteous and the food also top. I had the 3 course menu "mixed grill plate" the meat was juicy and the fries were crispy. A visit is worth it. PS.the toilet has 4 OF 5 TOILET ROLLS, so very clean

We came for the 5th time and it was not only excellent as always - no, it was even better than ever before! How can you sear a steak so perfectly and make it buttery soft?! Even something as banal as fries achieves perfection. The friendly service was courteous and reserved. There's simply nothing to complain about. (The possibility of paying by card may be considered) Designated parking spaces would be the cherry on the cake :)

The ambience is cozy and inviting, ideal for a relaxing evening. Particularly noteworthy is the first-class service – friendly, attentive and always on hand. An all-round successful experience that I can warmly recommend to every steak lover!

The meat was cooked to perfection. Very juicy. Everything tasted very good. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The ambience has remained in the 80s/90s - but it doesn't bother you.

We always like it very much. We come from Marburg and when we are in Wattenscheid we always eat here with my cousin and my mother. The atmosphere is very nice, the waiters are very nice and the food tastes very good. We are always the last to leave the restaurant on Sundays, but we are always treated courteously. The waiter always has a nice saying on his lips. We also once had to host a sad family event in the hall. Everything was done to our best satisfaction. I highly recommend it.

I was absolutely thrilled by my visit to the Hölscher steakhouse restaurant yesterday. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was captivated by the appealing ambience. But the restaurant wasn't just visually impressive. I was particularly impressed by the friendliness and courteousness of the staff. Although the steakhouse was busy, the service was quick and without long waiting times. The kitchen deserves special praise: every dish was perfectly prepared. If you haven't visited the Hölscher steakhouse restaurant yet, you should definitely do so. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience that I would be happy to repeat.

We were at the Hölscher headquarters for the first time on Saturday and were very surprised - positively. We didn't expect the great ambience, everything harmonious. Then the food, everything delicious, beautifully presented. Everyone was very attentive, you didn't have to wait long for new drinks. We will definitely come back, best regards....

We were here for the first and certainly not the last time. We were served with a lot of friendliness and attention. The food was excellent: from the homemade soup, the main course with a salad buffet, to the dessert and the digestif. Since the food smelled so bad, I forgot to take pictures of it. If you want to have a nice meal in a well-kept ambience, you are well advised to visit here.

Very friendly welcome, the starter was super tasty, the bread was warm and soft on the inside. They also have a really tasty herb butter. The meat was delicious and fried just right, the sauce was fresh and not a powder sauce. Unfortunately there is a deduction for the salad, the selection could be better and with fresh leaf salads such as pickled lettuce. I didn't like the coleslaw at all.

We were warmly greeted at lunchtime yesterday. We didn't make a reservation, but went there spontaneously. As a starter there was a gift from the house, some delicious slices of white bread with lard and herb butter. Afterwards we were served the soup of the day - the taste was simply unique! Freshly prepared and with ingredients, highly recommended. We were able to help ourselves to the rich salad buffet. The waiter was/is always friendly and very customer-oriented. For the main course we ordered Cordon Bleu. Simply fantastic! And now comes the dessert; Even though we were already full and couldn't actually eat anything, this dessert still tempted us. There was freshly prepared fruit salad - like the entire meal - with 2 scoops of ice cream and cream. Heavenly! And beautifully decorated too. At the end there was a Julischka. I would be happy to give even more stars if I could. We were very satisfied, would of course be happy to come back and recommend the restaurant.

After many years we were once again at the Steakhaus Hölscher. I can recommend it very well. We were pleasantly surprised. Very comfortably furnished. We ordered a platter for two people. That would have been enough for three. The menu is very varied. It wasn't the last time we were there.

We were there for the first time today with two people. The prawns as a starter were not fried to death, but lacked an exclusive taste for the price of €18 per portion. The stuffed rump steak was a bit overdone, the fillet steak was without these quality defects. Overall, everything was acceptable, but we won't be coming back as there are better alternatives in the area for a steak experience.

Our Groupon voucher is still valid for 1 week 1.5 24. But they don't want to give us an appointment anymore, even though the restaurant is max. a quarter full during the week. If Hölscher finds it too much trouble to host Groupon guests, they shouldn't sell it!! Furthermore, the menu does not match the one in the Groupon offer!! Snooty dismissal on the phone.

I called today and asked for a table for 2 people, and of course I still have something available Like I said I have a groupon oh I'm sorry you have to reserve a week in advance. We won't let ourselves be fooled. I canceled our groupon and got a full refund. We won't recommend this place to anyone else and we won't set foot there either.

We were 2 adults and a small child. We were there right when it opened at 5:30 p.m. and didn't have a reservation. We were quickly assigned a table and organized a high chair. The service and the kitchen were very fast even though the restaurant was filling up. The only thing that bothered me about the food was the frozen Kaise vegetables. I really liked the salad bar where you could put together your own starter salad. Many guests were greeted by name, so they were probably regulars, which of course speaks for the restaurant. In my opinion, the decoration was a bit exaggerated in places.

On a Sunday we went to the Hölscher main building without a reservation. We were greeted warmly and given a table. We were 2 adults and a child. The food was very tasty, I had a cordon bleu, my husband had pork fillet and our grandson just had French fries. I still rave about the delicious food today. The food didn't taste good at all. Most of the fries were probably already fried and some of the meat wasn't really well prepared. When I asked the waiter whether it was tasty and I then said no, the waitress became very unfriendly and discussed loudly. Sorry, that's absolutely not possible. You can't beat it when it comes to unprofessionalism. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Cozy restaurant with good service! Had the 3-course menu with soups, salad, steak and dessert. The soups were delicious, the salad was fresh, the rump steak was buttery soft, the Hölscher mix plate was very large and tasty.
