Steakhaus Angusto in Köln

I celebrated my birthday here on Friday and it was a dream. Everything was right when it came to the food, service and location. It was a wonderfully beautiful birthday. I would like to thank the whole team very much.

Very nice service, delicious side salad and juicy turkey steak. We didn't have to wait long - overall very worthwhile.

Unfortunately we were rather disappointed. We were there with family/friends to spend a nice evening but unfortunately we encountered a very unmotivated and bad-tempered service person. You didn't feel welcome and unfortunately we had the feeling of not being welcome right from the start (after we said that we had booked a coupon deal). The food, a 3 course meal, was mediocre. Two of the steaks we ordered were cold and cooked incorrectly. We let these two steaks go back and two steaks came back that unfortunately only saw the grill once as they flew by and were almost raw. The icing on the cake was a huge cockroach in the women's toilet. Even though this can of course happen from time to time due to pipes, drains, etc., it is an absolute no-go that we pointed this out to the staff, but after another visit to the toilet - 1 hour later - the animal was dead, but was simply left there. The waiter probably already expected that there would be no tip, so he simply included his tip when calculating the four drinks and got too much. There was no invoice. We definitely cannot recommend this restaurant and will not come back. Too bad.

We celebrated a birthday here this evening and we were happy about it because it was just perfect. The food was great, soup followed by a starter, main course and dessert plus a large punch. The staff is extremely friendly and very accommodating. We will definitely come back.

We were there in the evening on Friday, November 15th, 2024 with four people and caught a waiter who was in a really bad mood. Going to the toilet was a horror because a cockroach about 3 cm in size had the same idea and ran over my sister's leg. After all, she was killed after we reported the incident, but was still left lying next to the toilet. The food came quite quickly as we had pre-reserved the menu. The tomato soup tasted like ravioli, but was ok. The steaks came to the table at the wrong cooking point and/or cold. We sent the cold medium back and new ones came. The second attempt arrived as English and was therefore cold after 2 minutes. The quality of the meat was good enough that you could also eat it as carpaccio, but I still expect something different from a steakhouse. When paying, we suddenly paid 26 euros for 4 large soft drinks after the waiter roughly guessed whether that was what was on the menu, I doubt it, but since we had neither a receipt nor the card, we paid that way and left. All in all, not a good evening.

Price-performance okay. With the Groupon, the 3-course menu (tomato soup, steak with side dish and tiramisu) + drinks cost around 25 euros per person. For the money you get enough food. We had nothing to complain about on our first visit, the food and service were great! 5/5 stars. But that seems to depend heavily on the day. On our second visit it was the complete opposite: the waitress seemed to be in a really bad mood and you got the impression right from the start that you weren't welcome at all. There was hardly a trace of friendliness and the bill was overcharged (he just did the math in his head, he didn't pick up the bill). The food was ok, two friends' steak was not cooked as requested and was almost cold, as if it had been sitting outside for a while. As a gesture of goodwill, a new one was brought, although not cooked to the desired degree, but okay. The baked potato was also tastier last time. But overall the food was okay. There was a cockroach on the toilet lid in the toilet (as they are everywhere), but after being informed it still hadn't been removed after an hour. This could have been done in time. If the first visit hadn't been so good, the second visit would have been the last. So you can give it another chance. The food is good. Advice to the restaurant: a little smile and good service go a long way, and can also make up for mistakes in the kitchen.

We were in Cologne on November 13th, 2024 and ate Angusto for him, the starter with the three king prawns was super delicious. The skewer with pork and beef fillet and the baked potato with sour cream couldn't be better. The service was simply top, totally friendly and responsive to our wishes. Big praise from us.

Great food. Great service. Only the music in the background was a bit annoying Update: the second visit was a disaster. The waiter was completely annoyed and unfriendly. Of the four steaks we ordered, none of them were as ordered. We had to give two back. Of the new ones brought in, one was English and the other was rare, although one was provided rare and one medium. Then a cockroach ran over the toilet seat in the women's toilet. And here very little was done about it, despite notification. Then at the end we were charged €26 for 4 large soft drinks. According to the menu, the drinks were only €5.90 each. impertinence. I was so excited after the first visit and immediately invited my family to dinner. And then something like that 😞

Worst steak ever and old waitress in the restaurant should be stop to being there, if youre a waitress, just let people eat and be on their own and do not ask and circle the table all the time asking if everything is ok, do you need any more wine etc. (And he was speaking in German, tourists usually do not speak english.)

Old town legend. Team for 20+ years, nice as ever. The furnishings outside seem a bit 'fair' but it makes sense. Everything was fine inside, water damage on the ceiling right above our table would have been nice to cover. But overall, I ate a delicious schnitzel again after many years thanks to GROUPON…recommended

This time we chose 1x turkey schnitzel and 1x cordon bleu with fries and salad via Groupon. Both were very tasty and filling. The greeting from the kitchen beforehand also tasted very good. Service very friendly and attentive

Diesmal hatten wir 1x Putenschnitzel und 1x Cordon Bleu mit Pommes und Salat über Groupon gewählt. Beides war sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Auch der Gruss aus der Küche zuvor schmeckte sehr gut. Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

DISASTER! Unfriendly staff who would rather smoke than take care of the guests. The fillet steak that was ordered and billed for, among other things, turned out to be an inferior sirloin steak, which was riddled with tendons and fat. Cooking points were not hit. The side dishes we ordered were swapped on the plates. Sauces inedible.

We have just eaten at the Angusto Steakhouse for the second time and can recommend it without reservation!!!! The food was, as always, very good and more than sufficient. We had the 3-course menu. A tomato soup (plus a baguette with a dip), a steak with a side dish of our choice and, for dessert, the homemade tiramisu. We enjoyed everything very much. Top!

The service was ok the food wasn't The waiters there feels like the kind that thinks they can manipulate you into buying something or into keeping something that they mistakenly delivered to you On the other hand they are relatively fast But the food was not good at all I personally ordered a black Angus (51) and to be cooked medium What I received was a badly cooked piece of meat The edges were well done and the middle completely raw I ate as much as I could and I informed the waiter that it was cooked badly just because he asked if everything was ok His answer was the cerry on top Should I take it cook it a bit more and bring it back? Completely unprofessional and dangerous

Service clearly deserves 20 stars, super nice, courteous service. Booked a 3 course meal for 2 people via Groupon, it was really a lot of food. Tomato soup (a little acidic but super tasty, as if it were a salsa cooked with prawns, anyone can season it very tasty) Salad (a simple salad delicious) Steak (you were allowed to choose the side dish, which was great) Tiramisu (the right size after a meal like this) Just go and try it and don't be fooled by the first impression.

OMG! Amazing food and the staff are so great, nothing is too much trouble. Had a rump steak and without doubt, the way it was cooked and charred so perfectly is making me write this review and is for me, the best steak I’ve ever eaten. Thank you George!

We bought 2x schnitzel and 2x burgers for 4 people via Groupon. It was great...instead of schnitzel we could also choose cordon bleu...I haven't had such a large, thick and well-filled cordon bleu in a long time. There were also fries and salad. The burgers were also huge and very tasty. The staff was very friendly and funny. We felt very comfortable. We'll be happy to come back the next time we visit Cologne...

Bought a 3-hanging menu through Groupon for €50 instead of €92. Unfortunately, both steaks did not have the desired cooking points, but were simply “done”. The fries/sweet potato fries were good. Tomato soup was good, a dollop of crème fraise and a few croutons would have made it "top". The tiramisu "was nothing".
