Whether fried potatoes or baguette, crisp salad or aromatic sauces - everything harmonizes perfectly with the main course. I was particularly impressed by the selection of homemade dips and spices that further enrich the taste experience (Jimi Juri Sauce). The service is excellent: the staff is attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable about the dishes on offer. What struck me as particularly positive was the fact that individual requests are taken into account - here you really feel valued as a guest. First of all, I must say this. There are many meat options, they cook it the way you want. Service is good as long as you don't set your expectations too high. However, there were some problems: - Our account was not given in detail. We don't know what it cost, how much it cost, how many grams of meat we ate, how much the salad and drinks cost. - We couldn't see the menu. The only thing we saw was the price of each type of meat. - Deviations may be possible, I know it is not possible for them to weigh the meat like a jeweler. However, according to our calculations, more meat may have been cut than is reasonable. I say "maybe" because we still don't know the price of meat. - I know that there are some ethical rules in Germany and people comply with them without exception. And that tipping is not mandatory in Germany. When we asked for the bill, we were told it was a certain amount. We paid cash and the remaining amount was taken directly as a tip, without returning the change. Even though we waited for a while, the change and detailed receipt did not arrive. I could not fit these behaviors into Germany's attitude I expressed above. Frankly, glitches in the process got in the way of good meat. Once again, I decided not to go here again. I am sad.

Mr. K.'s "review" is a complete disgrace and is more of a personal denigration than a review (a legal review should also be considered here). From my experience, the processes described cannot be understood in any way. I have been a regular in this food department for over 30 years (at least 3 times a week) and also at David's for many years (certainly not by chance). I've just come back from Steak-Point and, as always, I received excellent and very professional service from David: advice, selection, service, presentation... everything was perfect. Keep it up!! One should certainly not allow oneself to be discouraged by such frustrated “fellow citizens” who are dissatisfied with themselves.

Unfortunately, I feel compelled to respond to a comment from Mr. Kunstmann, who, in his recession, named an employee of the Steak Point and complained massively about him. I've been going to the steak counter regularly for over 20 years now and have always received very courteous service. In particular, the employee David, referred to by the aforementioned so-called “local guide,” is an institution and I have always found him to be consistently friendly, even almost friendly. We will continue to enjoy going to Steak-Point, especially David, as we have done in recent years.

Great meat quality. Select directly at the meat counter and have it freshly prepared to your liking. Plus either baked potatoes, fried potatoes or a salad and homemade baguette. The food, quality and freshness deserve 5 stars. Unfortunately the service is a disaster, especially the waitress David (tall, glasses, no hair on his head). Completely overwhelmed and also stroppy and unfriendly. Despite there being free seats, guests are not served and are sent away on the grounds that he already has enough to do with the occupied seats and that he doesn't want to do anything more; after all, he is not a machine. Other guests are not served at first because they say they have to clean up first. Guests really seem to be bothersome. In the same time, his colleague serves and staffs twice the number of guests and is very friendly. However, since reservations are not possible and the seats at the large counter are filled as seats become available, you are subject to the will of the service person responsible for the seats that are currently available. If it happens to them and they have to suffer David, they would rather do without. Absolutely detrimental behavior that leads to a negative experience despite very good food. It's a shame about the good restaurant. Therefore a maximum of 3 stars. Management should get this problem under control as quickly as possible. Within an hour we heard 6 complaints about the waitress David, as well as derogatory and racist comments from him. The atmosphere is simple but nice and you can watch “your” meat being prepared. A bit noisy and hectic as it is in the middle of the food department.

Great place to have a no frills steak experience

Always a great thing to be able to eat here. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The steaks, potatoes and salads are simply delicious!!! I can only warmly recommend it to everyone ;)

This is the place I have to come if possible on the first day. For the pass 20 years , I have to come and eat here at least once👣

We ate there for the first time today and were very disappointed. We ordered our steaks in 200g and 250g and both medium rare, when we got it it was less than rare, it was cold inside and not edible. When we paid we received an invoice for 185€ for 2 people. When we asked, we were told that the exact number of grams cannot always be accurately determined and that we therefore received 580g instead of a total of 450g and had to pay accordingly, which we only got noticed on the bill. That was the first and last visit!

I wanted to inquire about a voucher and greeted the staff at the counter with "Excuse me, can I ask you something?!" I was met with a reproachful "Good evening!" According to the gentleman's information, he complained to the guests that, I mean, they didn't say "good evening" or what was so difficult about "good evening". I was very annoyed that I was accused of disrespect and, apart from that, that this could not be reflected back to me personally. You would have to have this courage. (In my opinion, "Excuse me" applies 24/7) A pleasant atmosphere and a benevolent approach to people - it doesn't matter whether it's a customer or a chef!

They give you steaks and drink wine right in the supermarket. This certainly surprised me. Adult people, wearing a tie and going to the supermarket for meat

We have been going there for more than 10 years (usually Saturday) and are always more than satisfied, but this week on Saturday we were very disappointed! My husband loves eating there with always perfectly fried steak and fried potatoes. But this week we were told that these are not offered on Saturdays because it is always very busy and stressful. We had no problem with it and, as always, the food was very good. However, when we paid, the gentleman right next to my husband was served his steak with fried potatoes by the gentleman who had made the statement 15 minutes earlier that there would be no potatoes on Saturday. When my husband asked, the waiter said: I'm sorry, I just had time!!!!!!!!

Where do I start and where do I end? Basically, there is probably no larger selection of steaks than at Steakpoint. No steak restaurant can compete. However, you can't have a nice evening because the seating isn't exactly nice. But it hasn't been important to me in all these years. It is important that the meat is good. The service is also perfect and the people are very accommodating. Maybe that's an advantage for me because I've been coming there for many, many years and we know each other. I was there again on November 29th, 2024 and it was good as always. But what I absolutely don't like is the pricing. No, not with the meat - but with the frame. The place setting - a choice of salad made from carrots and celery, a leaf salad with 2 dressing options or a baked potato, together with the white bread and the sauces, now costs 14.95 euros. A Spezi or a Coke - large is 6.00 euros And for those who come now - "If you can't afford it"... No, the question is whether I want to afford it. There is absolutely nothing to complain about in terms of price, quality of meat or service. Absolutely TOP - I just think these background noises like place settings and drinks are excessive.

We've been eating there for years and are always more than satisfied. The best steak in town. Unfortunately, the gentleman who served us yesterday at around 12:30 was very rude and unfriendly, so it was uncomfortable for us to order more, a shame because we were still hungry. We're not used to that from Steak Pont. Usually everyone is extremely friendly. Unfortunately, this gentleman doesn't fit there. Small note: it wasn't the gentleman with the bald head😘

We had an extremely disappointing experience at Steak Point. We wanted to eat there on Friday evening and arrived at 6:45 p.m. A waiter then came to us at 6:48 p.m. Instead of greeting us politely, he came up to us and informed us in an extremely arrogant and unfriendly manner that we were late and what we were actually doing and that you couldn't be late at a bank (relevance?) and we wouldn't get anything to eat because orders are only accepted until 6:45 p.m. Instead of acting in a customer-oriented manner and informing us in a friendly manner, we were simply sent away. So if you want to be treated really badly, this seems to be the right place for you. Not recommended.

I can't understand all the good reviews here. We had to wait a very long time for our food. The meat was OK overall - but it could have been better. The prices are absolutely amazing. No prices are listed. The greater the surprise effect. Special 0.4L = 6 euros, place setting (only plate with fork and knife): 9 euros. This is included in every restaurant - what's the point!! There will be no further visit.

Eating in the department store. Loud but tasty, the best steak I've had in a long time. Tons of different varieties are presented behind a display case and can be selected there. Chosen, grilled, eaten, enjoyment. It is better to use the toilets two houses away in Wöhrl.

The steaks were a dream... incredibly good...

The first time you eat there you are absolutely lost. It's pretty tight at the counter and when you have strangers next to you it's quite uncomfortable and you have to be careful not to accidentally bump into the person next to you. There was no menu and we had absolutely no idea what side dishes were available. We had very unfriendly service that day. He didn't explain anything and sounded very annoyed when we asked. With all the sauces he listed, he didn't say how many sauces you could choose...so we held back a lot. My fillet was still super raw, even though I wanted it medium rare. After it was on the grill again, it was better...but still a little raw. I then just ate it and didn't want to be "annoying" again. It really depends on what kind of meat you get. My husband had an entrecôte, unfortunately with a lot of tendons. The person next to me had a different waitress and he was super friendly, smiled and explained everything and offered things that were available and let the guest choose. That's what I would have liked for us and not in such a bad mood. That actually spoiled my meal, especially since the salad and bread were very tasty. For everyone who hasn't been there yet: You can choose the meat and weight there, and the meat is then prepared A cover charge of approximately €12 will be charged. Here you can choose between a salad with yogurt dressing or chili mayo, a farmer's salad or a mixture of both. There is also baguette - one whole grain and one wheat, you can also choose just one type. As far as I understand, you can always reorder. Unfortunately I can't list all the sauces... there was pepper, chimichuri, chili, garlic etc. Here you can also try all the sauces or the ones you want. You can also have herb butter with it. When it came to the side dishes, I saw that the other guests had baked potatoes with sour cream. I would give it all another chance, but I would sit down so that I could get another waitress who wasn't such a grumpy person.

Die Adresse überhaupt, wenn es um Top Steaks in Nürnberg geht. Einfach nur hervorragend. Viel mehr Wellness für den Gaumen und die kulinarische Seele geht nicht.

Hier passt einfach alles! Vor allem Peter ist hier sehr lobend zu erwähnen. Er ist stets super drauf und immer gut gelaunt. Er engagiert sich rührend um seine Gäste und erfülltt mir wirklich alle meine Wünsche für mein Steak und Beilagen. Besser geht's wirklich nicht

Das Steak ist jedesmal hervorragend. Das Konzept ist eher untypisch, da es neben der Bar nur eine Hand voll Hochtische gibt, welche aber ebenfalls nicht reserviert werden können. Insofern am besten zu zweit gehen, denn mehr Plätze zusammen zu bekommen ist reine Glückssache.

Die meiner Meinung nach beste Adresse für Steak in Nürnberg. Beste Produkte, sehr gute Weine kombiniert mit ganz hervorragendem Service - absolut kundenorientiert. Die Zubereitung ist immer auf den Punkt, von "bleu" bis "well done". Wer einmal beim Steak-Point war, wird nirgendwo sonst mehr Steak essen wollen.

De mensen die hier werken hebben echt plezier in het maken van eten, dat merk je aan de manier waarop de borden ´opgemaakt zijn´, aan de kwaliteit van de produkten en aan de lach op het gezicht van diegenen die je ter plaatse verzorgen en bedienen. De eerste keer dat ik er kwam had ik al meteen een goed gevoel hier en aan de prijs-kwaliteit verhouding merk je dat er op veel andere plaatsen in de stad waar wat aangerommeld wordt met eten en dat er geldwolven genoeg zijn die gretig hun uitgekiende ´formules´ (en formule-restaurants...) op je los willen laten. Dat begon voor mij al op straat toen ik eenmaal per ongeluk het verkeerde (witte...)Nürnberger worstje bestelde. Ik had het kunnen weten...bij de marktkraam op de ´Hauptmarkt¨stond ´5(!) und Kraut´...dat had ik niet gezien... Hier bij de/het ´Steakpoint´ heeft men de zaken 10x beter voor elkaar. Het lijkt er hier in de kelder van Karstadt (weg met die naam ´Galeria´!) zelfs wel een beetje op Spanje, een land waar je tussen de middag voor de lunch soms ook bijna om een stoel (of kruk natuurlijk) moet ´vechten´. Een Steak-house midden in een Supermarkt...dat hebben wij in Nederland nog niet verzonnen, echter, dat zal bij ons zeer waarschijnlijk wel iets met ´de Warenwet´ te maken hebben, de autoriteiten daar inmiddels een beetje kennende. Top plek: leuke locatie, gezellige omgeving, schoon, snel, prachtig opgemaakte borden. Klaar is Kees, voor de middag dan....:)

Ambiente natürlich gewöhnungsbedürftig, da mitten im Karstadt gelegen Dennoch hatten wir hier ein ausgesprochen gutes Steak War nicht ganz billig, aber jeden Cent wert Vorbeischauen lohnt sich!

Der aufmerksame Service war ein weiterer Pluspunkt. Das Personal war stets freundlich und hilfsbereit, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Sie sorgten dafür, dass wir uns während des gesamten Besuchs wohl fühlten und hatten immer ein offenes Ohr für unsere Wünsche. Insgesamt war mein Besuch im Steak Point ein rundum gelungenes Erlebnis. Mit erstklassigen Steaks, köstlichen Beilagen und einem aufmerksamen Service ist dieses Restaurant definitiv eine Empfehlung wert. Ich freue mich darauf, bald wieder dort zu dinieren.

Schon oft habe ich mir hier verschiedene hervorragende Steaks braten lassen. Das Konzept ist einfach aber funktioniert einwandfrei. Man wählt zwischen drei Gedecken, zweierlei Brotsorten, einem Getränk, mehreren Soßen und sucht sich dann das Fleisch in der Theke nebenan aus. Und die Karstadt Fleischtheke bietet sehr viel verschiedenes und exklusives. Für jeden Geldbeutel ist hier etwas dabei. Fleisch wird dann nach Einkaufspreis berechnet, das braten ist im Gedeck beinhaltet. Aufgrund der jahrelangen Erfahrung haben die Köche die Zubereitung perfektioniert. Bis jetzt habe ich dort immer sehr gut gegessen. Wer ein richtig gutes Filet o. ä. sucht wird hier definitiv fündig.

Ich hätte nie erwartet, in einem Kaufhaus, dass beste Steak meines Lebens gegessen zu haben. Die Auswahl ist grandios, sowohl Steak als auch Weine. Ein Besuch ist jedem zu empfehlen ! Das Steak selbst war auf den Punkt perfekt, das Salatbuket dazu war knackig und lecker. Die eigenen 6 Soßen, als auch das Chimchurri waren unglaublich lecker.

A place the locals go to…. Amazing meats - if upon arriving, you think you’re in the wrong place, you’ve arrived. If you then think “There’s no way this place has good food.”, you would be sooo wrong! If you leave, you deserve to miss out. Master chefs make your food right in front of if you sit at the bar, after you choose your cut from the butcher. I had filet mignon from Scotland our 1st night. Lamb chops from New Zealand the next night. Absolutely amazing!!!!
