Very quiet on Sunday lunchtime. Currywurst and heaven & earth delicious

Friday evening, it was very crowded. I would recommend making a reservation. From young to old, everyone was represented. The service is on point, very friendly. Food was delicious and came quickly. We'll definitely go there again 👌

The currywurst is always worth a visit. But the changing weekly and seasonal offers should also be taken into account.

A nice atmosphere to have relaxed, in-depth conversations!

Good morning, Today we were here at the permanent representation. The employees are friendly, attentive and competent. The atmosphere is awesome. We happily recommend this place for eating and drinking.

A beautiful shop! Great ambience and the service (despite the place being full) was totally friendly, personable and super fast. The drinks and food prices are also great! However, the taste of the food was unfortunately very disappointing. I had a (different interpretation) Ceaser salad with chicken and small mushrooms. These were so greasy that unfortunately I couldn't eat them. Both the chicken and the mushrooms had a taste of pork and fish, which suggests that all fried/grilled dishes are fried together or on the same plate without cleaning afterwards. Particularly difficult for someone who isn't a porker. We also had a fish platter with crabs. Unfortunately, these weren't exactly fresh either and smelled and tasted very fishy. Unfortunately my companion couldn't eat these either. I think dishes like schnitzel or bratwurst are the right choice if you want to dine here. And a great choice for a nice drinking evening with friends, but otherwise I wouldn't recommend (these two) dishes.

We weren't sure if we were going to find restaurants open on a Sunday and yay. It was good; ate all my food, good soup too and the service was great. It had a good vibe, made you want to stay longer but we wanted to roam.

We were here in a larger group. A long table was provided for us at the back, right in the middle of the room. Unfortunately it is very loud here and there is a station hall feeling. Having conversations here is more of a bad thing than a good thing. Service was very friendly and accommodating. The food was ok, but the portion size and value for money were definitely not there.

Rustic, delicious dishes, very friendly service, we really liked it! But you should definitely book a table in advance as it is very busy.

Cool presentation, very interesting time travel through German politics with lots of pictures of German politicians East and West. Unfortunately quite expensive. I was a little disappointed with the food. In my case, the price/performance wasn't that great...that is, not enough for so much money.

Very fast and friendly service. It's cozy and quaint. The beer tastes good and the food, no matter what you order, is always perfect and tastes delicious. The prices are moderate.

Rich selection and large portions. The food smelled delicious, looked good, but unfortunately wasn't overwhelming. Sauerbraten was fibrous, salmon was dry and the veggie burger had fried potatoes with ham! Service was friendly but slightly overwhelmed.

Lively, bright, gastronomy with its own unique furnishing style. The menu is good with a decent selection of dishes. I can especially recommend the currywurst/fries. The beer “specialty” here is Kölsch. - You have to like... The service is friendly. In my opinion, the store scores points with its furnishings. Many historical objects give the guest a nostalgic feeling.

The currywurst was good as always and is simply part of a visit to Hanover. Very friendly service, we look forward to the next time.

extremely unfriendly and very rude service.

Despite being "full house", the service is friendly, fast and very well organized. Drinks and food came quickly. The Championrahmschnitzel with fried potatoes and kale with Kassler or Bregenwurst were excellent. The only drawback is the high noise level, which makes conversation very tiring.

Too loud to have a conversation. Food relatively expensive and of high quality, I've had a better burger for the price. The fries were good though. The service was good and quick.

The currywurst was very tasty, the Kölsch tasted like a Kölsch and the Weizen like a Weizen. Unfortunately our food was forgotten and only brought when we asked. It's generally very loud but still somehow comfortable

Where should I even start here? As a former Cologne resident, I came here and unfortunately was completely disappointed. From the order to the service and also the food, it was really bad and had nothing to do with the advertised “real Cologne drinking culture”. The menu is very promising, there are Kölsch phrases and some Kölsch dishes and the popular Kölsch everywhere. We ordered Rievkooche and Halver Hahn as shown in the photos. Neither has anything to do with the original dishes from Cologne. The Rievkooche were definitely frozen and unfortunately did not taste good. The half rooster also has nothing to do with the original. It's neither a real Röggelchen nor a real old Gouda and the mustard only came when asked. The drinks were also brought incorrectly and were of course immediately complained about. The service here is very unfriendly and cannot be compared with a Köbes from Cologne. Unfortunately, there is just too much “real Cologne drinking culture” on offer here, but 0.0% is implemented!

Incredibly cozy, special and super tasty

Unfortunately, the schnitzel was very greasy. Fried potatoes a bit bland and very greasy. I expected more given the good reviews.

Very iconic and cozy decor. We had Kölsch, kale and a schnitzel on a weekday. Clear recommendation, you have to experience it yourself!

Unfortunately, the opening hours of the kitchen correspond to the information on the website. Were there at 10:10 p.m. and received the statement: "The kitchen has been closed for a long time" Annoying because we could have found another restaurant in that time.

Around 7 p.m. it was packed and loud. Nevertheless, the operation is surprisingly quick. Great team!

Very cool, relaxed location. You never have to wait for new drinks. The Kölsch tastes really good, always freshly tapped. Very committed employees who offer top service at all times. When you eat it you experience a great explosion of flavors. Absolutely recommended. And even when the place is full, eating and drinking never takes long.

Although we didn't have a reservation and the restaurant was very busy, we were served very friendly and without any hassle, very nice 👍🏼

Fun shop, nice people, good food

Have been there several times on different occasions (Christmas with the company, eating and/or drinking together, with friends and/or family), and was never disappointed. Food and drink is not cheap, but appropriate to the ambience and quality. Price/performance is okay. You should like Kölsch, alternative types of beer are rather manageable. When it comes to food, the focus is more on Rhenish specialties, Cologne area. We particularly recommend the currywurst, in 3 different sizes, which can easily be enough for two people for just under €22.

We ate here spontaneously and because of the good reviews. The restaurant was pretty empty and yet we were seated in the farthest corner. The restaurant is cozy and clean. The 5 drinks were so full, they spilled over when served. The food was a disappointment, the tomato soup was totally sour. The turkey meat was dry. The champion cream sauce had hardly any taste... we won't be back... the staff were friendly.

We were there with our team and had a great time. I ordered the salmon burger with fries and it was simply delicious! The salmon was perfectly cooked, juicy and full of flavor. The fries were crispy and delicious – just right! The ambience and service were also great, very friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere. I can only recommend this restaurant and would love to come back!

Great location, with a lot of history in the restaurant! Lots of pictures of politicians and German history, both West and East! 😄 The menu has decent dishes that everyone can find! You really should try the giant currywurst. 😎 Service is quick, attentive and super nice! We'll definitely come back!

There is vegan food there and a very tasty tomato soup without cream. Since I celebrate politics history, it is an inspiring place for me. There are also photos of my companion's ex.

Super nice, rustic restaurant and pub! Kölsch is the order of the day here This is my favorite restaurant because I come from Cologne. The service is great and the friendliness is great. I always enjoy coming back

Went there for the first time on Saturday evening and managed to get a spot at very short notice, 2 hours beforehand. Was very busy. I had the Stasi Schnitzel, apparently very large, which I found very positive. But unfortunately it was pounded so small that it was extremely thin, rather just a schnitzel on the plate but thicker. The sauce was tasty but unfortunately also very little. The waitress always took a long time to get to the table and was visibly stressed. But this was certainly due to the high level of activity in the restaurant. The entire presentation was very interesting and definitely something different.

Stasi platter (schnitzel) ordered 4 times arrived in 15 minutes, schnitzel was very flat and dripping with fat, and the schnitzel didn't taste like anything at all. Sambal sauce wasn't sambal sauce, way too sweet. Fried potatoes were good but you can't go wrong, fries were hard after they arrived. Tables are very small and with 4 people it's really tiring not to throw anything down.

Basically there are four stars, but you have to make compromises when it comes to food. The schnitzel wasn't really good, it even tasted a bit old and otherwise the fried potatoes were a little too greasy. We won't eat there a second time.

We ate and drank here in the evening. The food and drinks were delicious. Personally, I was missing a bit of the icing on the cake, i.e. a straw or lemon slice in the cola, salad or herb decoration on the schnitzel. Still very solid. The restaurant is easy to reach, right on the Aegi. Unfortunately, this is accompanied by the noise and smell of the street.

Nowhere else in Hanover can you experience the history of the Federal Republic of Germany as much as here in the StäV Hannover. But you don't just see testimonies and pictures of past political greats on the walls, you are also in a place where Kölsch is served. And that is precisely what gives me great joy personally. This year I even came to the carnival. And it was great. That's why I give it 5 out of 5 stars.

The BBQ burger was ok, but no reason to come back. The fries were very tasty. Unfortunately, ketchup and mayo only come in pre-packaged sachets.

Wir hatten extra nachgesehen, das Lokal sollte bis 23:30 Uhr geöffnet sein... wir saßen im Außenbereich. Mit uns noch zahlreiche andere Gäste...ab 21:00 Uhr wurde um uns herum zusammen geräumt. Stühle hoch, Gläser weg...sehr ungemütlich! Das Personal wirkte lustlos und unser Essen war sehr lieb-und geschmacklos. Nicht zu empfehlen!

The food was ok, unfortunately the waitresses weren't particularly attentive. The portions were adequate for the price but unfortunately the taste wasn't the highlight.

Haben uns in den Biergarten gesetzt, die Bedienung nahm wohl Notiz von uns...ignorierte uns jedoch. ( Es war ein Gast anwesend) Lieber unterhielt sie sich mit diesem Gast, ganz angeregt über Urlaube in Ägypten & der Türkei...Wir sind dann nach ca 5 Min gegangen, ohne Verzehr! Für mich nicht empfehlenswert!

The food is very tasty and the staff is very friendly, even when the hut is full there is a smile from the staff. You feel very comfortable here. The currywurst and the home cooking are simply great.

The food was very tasty and came to the table quickly. Our waitress Kerstin was personable and friendly. We were well served and felt comfortable. We will be back definitely!

I was there with friends in the evening. The food was good and tasted good. We had something to drink before dinner and 2 people (me and a friend) had already finished the drink when we ordered food and then ordered a new one right after dinner. The friend got his drink relatively quickly and I haven't yet. When the food came, I pointed out and asked that I had also ordered a drink that hadn't arrived yet. Then we ate and after we had finished eating I asked again while clearing up, whereupon I got the answer: “Don't you see what the boys are doing” with a view of the counter and relatively unfriendly (the drink order was there about 40 minutes ago) Of course I assumed that the order would arrive at some point. But even after we ordered and ate dessert, the drink didn't come. But I didn't ask again because the counter was busy. So I spent a total of 2.5 hours in the restaurant and had a drink at the beginning. I would have liked to drink more, but the unfriendly comment from the waitress stopped me from asking again. I completely understand if something is forgotten or there is a lot going on, but I find it an exceptionally poor performance to react unfriendly to a friendly request and then not receive the drink after asking twice.

Friendly and helpful staff. You don't necessarily have to book a spot in advance during the day, but you should in the evening. Good menu with a large selection of different food and drinks. The portions are good and the food is really tasty. The currywurst with fries (Kanzler platter) is particularly popular. The prices are OK. The ambience is good. You can also sit outside. Unfortunately, when the restaurant is busy, it is also extremely loud. We like to come back again and again, even with friends. The parking situation is very difficult. There is paid street parking.

A nostalgic excursion to a time when there were still two German countries. Lots of old pictures on the wall that bring back memories. There is Kölsch to drink, the food consists mainly of currywurst, which is intentional, but you can also get other Cologne delicacies here. Very busy, so reservations are definitely necessary for larger groups.

We were very impressed with a very great location with over 40 years of history of the Federal Republic of Germany and the GDR on the walls. Service was really top and well structured. Price performance was also top, highly recommended.

Nice and fast service. You can have a good beer here. Currywurst and fries were great. Unfortunately, cream of asparagus soup is not recommended. Not good quality.

A very original restaurant with good food and good beer (especially Kölsch served in the traditional style). The focus is on food and drinks from the Rhineland. It was decorated with very nice photos from the old Bonn Federal Republic. Unfortunately there are terrible acoustics here due to the large glass panels reflecting everything and when it's full you have to shout at each other. Fortunately, there is no music added. The waitress is sometimes more and sometimes less motivated to exchange the empty small (0.2 l) Kölsch glasses for full ones.

The group wandered around looking for a place to eat on the way to the new city hall and accidentally met him. The food was delicious, the staff were super friendly, the restaurant, decor and ambiance were amazing The menu was not easy to choose for me but in the end I decided to choose “Bundestag filet XXXL Currywurst”. Every curry lover's dream 😍 The service was also quick and took orders, drinks and food arrived in a very reasonable time as it was very busy there.
