When it came to the Thai curry with rice, the curry was forgotten. It's a shame because the vegetables were right. The rice was not OK, sometimes hard. The fish next door was tasteless, the Wiener Schnitzel was good, I was told. Next time maybe ask in advance whether the chef is up for it. The service was professional. Unfortunately I had a seat right next to the toilet and during the evening it smelled of ammonia.

Definitely a good place for lunch. Unfortunately there is no special lunch menu, but the prices are reasonable considering the very good quality. You sit very well and the service is attentive. I really enjoy coming here.

Delicious food and pleasant atmosphere

We were there with the family at Easter. In the menu we were able to find something for all tastes. The service was great and the waitress was always friendly. Despite Easter, you didn't have to wait long for your food. It also tasted great and the plates were beautifully decorated. We were all particularly enthusiastic about the beef carpaccio.

It simply cannot happen that I end up with several drinks from another table on the bill. And after we complained, there was neither an apology nor any form of redress. It's not enough to simply return the money you paid too much!

The food was very good and the price was perfectly reasonable. Due to the relatively cramped seating arrangement with too many chairs and tables, I don't think it's particularly comfortable or relaxing. It's very loud, giving the whole place a bistro feel and becoming a bit annoying for a longer evening. At the high tables, you sit much too close to the table behind you (unless you're sitting on the bench), and this small space is constantly being used as a walkway. So, people and staff are constantly walking right behind you, brushing against your seat.

A clear recommendation! Not uninteresting for smokers; you can also sit outside. Be sure to reserve, otherwise it could get tight... We had the skirt steak and the rump steak plus drinks and dessert. (2 people) Service was quick and attentive 😄

The food is very good, the staff/service is friendly and quick, the prices are a little below expectations or compared to other restaurants with comparable quality. Unfortunately, it was very loud where we were sitting due to the conversations of neighboring guests; Something could/should be done here for an “insulating” interior or similar; Ambience otherwise pleasant. The selection of dishes is not too extensive, so the ingredients should not be frozen items. Definitely recommended!

Ambience is so-so (including long rows of tables - has a bit of a canteen feel) Service was initially very good, but later we felt a little forgotten, which may have been due to our seat in the back corner (by the second cloakroom). The ox cheeks were very tender, the mashed potatoes were delicious, but a few vegetables were missing.

Wiener Schnitzel with fried potatoes are great.

The service wasn't very friendly. Two people dropped out at short notice due to illness, and we were immediately told that we could call to give other people a chance. Yes, in principle yes, but 1 hour ago we didn't see any point and here too the sound makes the music. We were asked twice if we wanted dessert even though we hadn't even had the main course. We waited over an hour for the food and when it came the potatoes were cold. New ones arrived straight away, but there was no “sorry” from the waitress. It's actually a shame because the food was delicious and we heard a lot of positive things, but it wasn't a successful evening.

It was my first time here and I was surprised. We had pre-ordered the food, I chose the roulade with red cabbage. The red cabbage was firm to the bite and not as soft as I was used to, which I personally liked very much. The roulade was very tender. Points were deducted for service and drinks. With the Radler/Alster we missed carbon dioxide and the Sprite taste. In my opinion, questions were answered inadequately. The atmosphere was very nice and I can recommend the restaurant. The food is worth a sin.

The food was very tasty but I was extremely dissatisfied with the service. It took over 90 minutes to be served and when we asked when we could expect our food, we received a very accusatory answer. As if it was our fault. I didn't feel welcome. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend a visit.

We had our Christmas party here. The restaurant is pleasantly furnished and the music was subtle. The service seemed overloaded and a bit strange. Although all the food had been pre-ordered, everything had to be ordered again. The time between courses was so long that you would have liked to leave again. The food was average. I ordered two geese for 99 EUR each. I was asked if the geese should be cut up yet, to which I replied in the affirmative. When I picked it up I received an invoice for 260 EUR, because now there were no longer two geese, but 8 quarter geese. The boss I wanted to speak to wasn't there, but he would definitely call back. I'm still waiting today. Conclusion: Geese are ok, but the impression of having been ripped off remains. Too bad

Friendly, bright atmosphere, attentive service. Very good ox cheek, crispy duck, delicious roulade with round sauce, perfectly flavored red cabbage interesting crisp structure. Dumplings (really homemade??) quite firm, could be fluffier & could be melty ;-). Price level appropriate. We'll definitely be back soon.

Nice restaurant, the food was good to very good but we had to wait 2 hours until our main course came. Not recommended if you don't want to plan 3 hours for your visit.

We had duck with red cabbage and fried potatoes. The duck was super tender and could be removed from the bone without leaving any residue. The red cabbage was slightly firm to the bite and very well seasoned. Roast potatoes of small potatoes halved. In short: I haven't eaten so well in a long time!

We had dinner again at the Hannover Restaurant. There were ox cheeks on mashed potatoes, Zurich veal schnitzel with butter spaetzle, beef roulade with red cabbage and potato dumplings and a Viennese veal schnitzel with fried potatoes, and for dessert a tiramisu for two! The bakes were very good, there are five for this 🌟. The Zurich veal slices were well seasoned, but the veal was bone dry, the butter spaetzle was good, but unfortunately only three for this 🌟. The beef roulade and the potato dumplings were good, unfortunately someone in the kitchen wanted to try the red cabbage, the red cabbage was "refined" with too much cinnamon and anise, it had a very unpleasant taste and unfortunately didn't harmonize at all, unfortunately only three here 🌟. The Wiener Schnitzel of veal with fried potatoes. The fried potatoes themselves were very tasty, unfortunately served a bit sparingly, the Viennese veal schnitzel was very hard on the border of "dry", four for this 🌟. The tiramisu was delicious, ground almonds were also used to add to the light almond flavor from the Amaretto, top! Unfortunately the proportion of cream to sponge cake was a bit unbalanced, too much cream, but still five 🌟. The reviews could not be commented on immediately because the service worked very quickly and did not ask on their own initiative. Usually it's always pretty tasty here, but this time I'm putting it down to a bad day!

Despite a reservation, we were seated in a niche in the back room, the acoustics were catastrophically loud, we could hardly understand each other. Beautiful optics don't help if it doesn't work for people. catastrophic. We waited 17 minutes from being seated until the service came, with the words: Oh, I completely forgot about you. The same thing again from ordering the invoice (via reminder) to paying.. Overall, tried hard, but not solution-oriented. Out of ideas and completely overloaded. I have an autoimmune disease and asked to find something without cow's milk. But in every sauce, every mayo, dip everything is mixed with cream, yogurt or similar. No suggestions from the service, rather it was made clear that such “problems” are annoying. No suggestions for solutions from the kitchen either. The reference to the allergen card is of no use either. Overall, the food, which came without anything, was good. But overall, we don't think it's in keeping with the times if a house like this that values ​​good food isn't the least bit flexible or equipped. The allocation of space was a real disgrace. The atmosphere of an ACDC concert. The kitchen is traditional in 1990.

Received a super rude welcome. People wanted to know if they had a reservation. After it was clear that we were there spontaneously, we were not treated kindly. We were given a table in the far corner. When I got to the table I discovered that the chair was broken. I then replaced this immediately. The unfriendly waitress came to our table and wanted to take the order. When she realized that only the child wanted to order something to eat, it was made clear to us that we had to leave the restaurant. O Ton: We only give our tables to people who eat something. Very unfortunate. It is clear to us that this establishment will be avoided in the future. P.s.: The shop was empty except for one table. We also said we wouldn't stay long.

Unfortunately extremely bad service. Sunday around 5 p.m., only one table occupied outside. Since only one person wanted to eat (out of three), we were advised to leave the restaurant. Very disappointing. There were also grease stains on the seat cushions of the chairs. Disappointing.

Nettes Ambiente. Freundliches Personal, auch bei kritischen Anmerkungen. Preise gehen so. Was nicht ging, war das Essen. Zweimal Wiener Kalbschnitzel, zweimal fast weiße Panade, die vollständig am Fleisch klebte. Das kenne ich nur von Convenience Food. Immerhin wurde die Reklamation sachlich entgegen genommen. Das Austauschessen, Zürcher Geschnetzeltes, sah und schmeckte auch nach Convenience Food. Lieber würde ich etwas mehr zahlen, liebloses Essen verdirbt den Abend. Muss ich nicht nochmal haben.

The food was simply great, I can only recommend it, it's a taste experience

Wir kamen zu dritt gegen 19:00 um zu Abend zu essen. Das Restaurant war zu ca. 80 % belegt und bekamen einen Tisch in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Laufweg des Personals. Nach 10 Min. ohne beachtet zu werden, schoben wir es auf den für einen Mittwoch eventuell ungewöhnlich hohen Zulauf, nach 20 Min. fragten wir uns, ob wir eventuell etwas "falsch" gemacht haben, nach weiteren 10 Min. totaler Ignoranz entschieden wir noch 5 Minuten zu warten und dann das Etablissement zu verlassen. Es kann sicher vorkommen, daß zu wenig Personal bereitsteht oder irgend etwas anderes schief läuft, aber dieses Gebaren kann man nicht Mal "nur" mit Dreistigkeit beschreiben! Wenn man es nicht kann dann sollte man es lassen. Ich bin 60 Jahre alt und war schon so ziehmlich überall auf unserer Welt essen, aber so etwas ist mir noch nie passiert! Es gibt sehr viele gute und nette Restaurants in Hannover, es brauchte offensichtlich einen Gegenpol. Zur Speisekarte kann ich nichts sagen, denn auch die bekamen wir in 40 Minuten vergeudeter Lebenszeit nicht zu sehen.

Food was ok. However, everything took a long time. After 45 minutes the starter came and before the main course came I had to leave. My girlfriend then ate it. When I asked when the food would arrive, all I got was an unfriendly comment. The store won't see me again.

So far I've tried the veal schnitzel and the pike perch fillet and I really enjoyed them. The ambience is exactly how I like it: upscale but down-to-earth cuisine, elegant but not over-the-top. Thanks for the good service.

The “dining room” makes a very clean, well-kept impression. The employees are incredibly nice and accommodating, so service is TOP! We had Wiener Schnitzel (gluten free), cow carpaccio and Thai curry with chicken. The food was extremely (!!!) delicious. The price/performance ratio is also worth a 5-star rating. All in all I can only give it 5 stars, even if it deserves 6 or 7 stars. We will definitely come back!

It was just great, the food was really good, the service was very attentive and everything around it was great. Today, June 1st, 2024, we were there again and this time we ate a citizen. The citizen wasn't bad. But I've eaten a better one before. However, we waited a long time for our citizen but it was full. On June 8, 2024, on a Saturday, I was there after lunch and ate 2 herrings. There were also fried potatoes and salad. The portion was large and I was full. I would definitely eat it again.

Ate here on the last evening of a short trip. It seemed charming from afar, which is why we ended up stopping here. The food and the friendly service also ensured a nice end to the trip. The price was also good considering the quality of the food.

Cozy restaurant with delicious cuisine

As it was only 3,5 I was wary but it was fantastic. The waiters that attended me were excellent, even though one of them spoke no English she still made herself understood. The food was top notch. German classics plus the fact I came in Asparagus season. I ate so well. Asparagus soup - fantastic Schnitzel - fantastic. Wine and beer - fantastic Really worth the 20 min walk. Give it a go.

The schnitzel with fried potatoes and cucumber salad was top! It was incredibly tasty and the meat was tender. The service is also top - attentive and extremely friendly. The atmosphere is very nice and cozy. In the evening it gets quite crowded and loud.

Ich bin in diesem Jahr zum 3. Mal in der Speiserei gewesen und jedesmal sehr zufrieden gegangen. Der Service ist aufmerksam und freundlich, das Essen für meinen Geschmack wunderbar. Die Speisekarte sieht so aus, als ob der Besitzer sich dafür entschieden hat, all das anzubieten, was er selber gerne isst, ich kann mich immer kaum entscheiden, weil ich ca. 85 % der angebotenen Speisen gerne probieren würde, Soulfood pur! Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist gut, die Portionen nicht übersichtlich! Schön auch, dass es einige Gerichte auch als kleine Portion gibt, diese sind immer noch größer als so manches Nudelgericht beim Nobelitaliener. Saisonal aktuell auch eine Spargelkarte. Da es ein großes Restaurant ist, wird es bei guter Auslastung etwas laut, mein einziger Kritikpunkt auf hohem Niveau!

Very tasty food, not at a bargain price, but definitely a recommendation.

Die Speiserei möchte ein gehobenes Restaurant sein... Das einzig gehobene sind die Preise. Küche ist leider nur mittelmäßig...Die halbe krosse Ente war nichts für den großen Hunger, geschmacklich durchaus ok. Das Thunfisch Carpaccio war deutlich zu wenig für 13,- und eher geschmacksneutral. Es gab vorweg kein Brot etc. Erst auf Nachfrage ein Schälchen mit einigen, aus meiner Sicht Brotkrümeln... Auf die Frage nach etwas zusätzlicher Bratensosse , erhielt ich ein Behältnis in Größe eines Eierbechers, welcher mir mit 3,- berechnet wurde.. Es gibt in Hannover viele Restaurants mit einem deutlich besseren Preis / Leistungsverhältnis.

Unfortunately it was very loud. One could hardly converse or understand one another. The table was too small for the number of people. There was no place to eat properly. The dish is marked as vegetarian on the menu even though it wasn't vegetarian! Unfortunately, the restaurant didn't convince me.

Food was tasty and expensive. Some of the staff were like this (the young, dark-haired one was nice and friendly), the other like this (we don't call the older, lighter-haired one so friendly). Hardly any parking spaces. Lighting not all on. I thought it was already closed because it was so dark. Given the prices, you might expect it to be brighter. But as always, make up your own mind.

I have a Spanish colleague who loves traditional German cuisine. Direct hit! It was our first time there and we had everything you could wish for: beef roulades with red cabbage and farm duck from the oven. Of course many other dishes.
