We reserved at short notice and the first positive impression was confirmed. Friendly staff, very good food and a nice ambience rounded off the visit. Thank you👍❗️

We had dinner again at the Hannover Restaurant. There were ox cheeks on mashed potatoes, Zurich veal schnitzel with butter spaetzle, beef roulade with red cabbage and potato dumplings and a Viennese veal schnitzel with fried potatoes, and for dessert a tiramisu for two! The bakes were very good, there are five for this 🌟. The Zurich veal slices were well seasoned, but the veal was bone dry, the butter spaetzle was good, but unfortunately only three for this 🌟. The beef roulade and the potato dumplings were good, unfortunately someone in the kitchen wanted to try the red cabbage, the red cabbage was "refined" with too much cinnamon and anise, it had a very unpleasant taste and unfortunately didn't harmonize at all, unfortunately only three here 🌟. The Wiener Schnitzel of veal with fried potatoes. The fried potatoes themselves were very tasty, unfortunately served a bit sparingly, the Viennese veal schnitzel was very hard on the border of "dry", four for this 🌟. The tiramisu was delicious, ground almonds were also used to add to the light almond flavor from the Amaretto, top! Unfortunately the proportion of cream to sponge cake was a bit unbalanced, too much cream, but still five 🌟. The reviews could not be commented on immediately because the service worked very quickly and did not ask on their own initiative. Usually it's always pretty tasty here, but this time I'm putting it down to a bad day!

Wow... spontaneously ended up in the pantry and was just thrilled. I can only recommend roast beef, although the fried potatoes alone would have been enough for me, they are also brilliant

Despite a reservation, we were seated in a niche in the back room, the acoustics were catastrophically loud, we could hardly understand each other. Beautiful optics don't help if it doesn't work for people. catastrophic. We waited 17 minutes from being seated until the service came, with the words: Oh, I completely forgot about you. The same thing again from ordering the invoice (via reminder) to paying.. Overall, tried hard, but not solution-oriented. Out of ideas and completely overloaded. I have an autoimmune disease and asked to find something without cow's milk. But in every sauce, every mayo, dip everything is mixed with cream, yogurt or similar. No suggestions from the service, rather it was made clear that such “problems” are annoying. No suggestions for solutions from the kitchen either. The reference to the allergen card is of no use either. Overall, the food, which came without anything, was good. But overall, we don't think it's in keeping with the times if a house like this that values ​​good food isn't the least bit flexible or equipped. The allocation of space was a real disgrace. The atmosphere of an ACDC concert. The kitchen is traditional in 1990.

Received a super rude welcome. People wanted to know if they had a reservation. After it was clear that we were there spontaneously, we were not treated kindly. We were given a table in the far corner. When I got to the table I discovered that the chair was broken. I then replaced this immediately. The unfriendly waitress came to our table and wanted to take the order. When she realized that only the child wanted to order something to eat, it was made clear to us that we had to leave the restaurant. O Ton: We only give our tables to people who eat something. Very unfortunate. It is clear to us that this establishment will be avoided in the future. P.s.: The shop was empty except for one table. We also said we wouldn't stay long.

Unfortunately extremely bad service. Sunday around 5 p.m., only one table occupied outside. Since only one person wanted to eat (out of three), we were advised to leave the restaurant. Very disappointing. There were also grease stains on the seat cushions of the chairs. Disappointing.

Nettes Ambiente. Freundliches Personal, auch bei kritischen Anmerkungen. Preise gehen so. Was nicht ging, war das Essen. Zweimal Wiener Kalbschnitzel, zweimal fast weiße Panade, die vollständig am Fleisch klebte. Das kenne ich nur von Convenience Food. Immerhin wurde die Reklamation sachlich entgegen genommen. Das Austauschessen, Zürcher Geschnetzeltes, sah und schmeckte auch nach Convenience Food. Lieber würde ich etwas mehr zahlen, liebloses Essen verdirbt den Abend. Muss ich nicht nochmal haben.

Wir kamen zu dritt gegen 19:00 um zu Abend zu essen. Das Restaurant war zu ca. 80 % belegt und bekamen einen Tisch in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Laufweg des Personals. Nach 10 Min. ohne beachtet zu werden, schoben wir es auf den für einen Mittwoch eventuell ungewöhnlich hohen Zulauf, nach 20 Min. fragten wir uns, ob wir eventuell etwas "falsch" gemacht haben, nach weiteren 10 Min. totaler Ignoranz entschieden wir noch 5 Minuten zu warten und dann das Etablissement zu verlassen. Es kann sicher vorkommen, daß zu wenig Personal bereitsteht oder irgend etwas anderes schief läuft, aber dieses Gebaren kann man nicht Mal "nur" mit Dreistigkeit beschreiben! Wenn man es nicht kann dann sollte man es lassen. Ich bin 60 Jahre alt und war schon so ziehmlich überall auf unserer Welt essen, aber so etwas ist mir noch nie passiert! Es gibt sehr viele gute und nette Restaurants in Hannover, es brauchte offensichtlich einen Gegenpol. Zur Speisekarte kann ich nichts sagen, denn auch die bekamen wir in 40 Minuten vergeudeter Lebenszeit nicht zu sehen.

Food was ok. However, everything took a long time. After 45 minutes the starter came and before the main course came I had to leave. My girlfriend then ate it. When I asked when the food would arrive, all I got was an unfriendly comment. The store won't see me again.

So far I've tried the veal schnitzel and the pike perch fillet and I really enjoyed them. The ambience is exactly how I like it: upscale but down-to-earth cuisine, elegant but not over-the-top. Thanks for the good service.

The “dining room” makes a very clean, well-kept impression. The employees are incredibly nice and accommodating, so service is TOP! We had Wiener Schnitzel (gluten free), cow carpaccio and Thai curry with chicken. The food was extremely (!!!) delicious. The price/performance ratio is also worth a 5-star rating. All in all I can only give it 5 stars, even if it deserves 6 or 7 stars. We will definitely come back!

It was just great, the food was really good, the service was very attentive and everything around it was great. Today, June 1st, 2024, we were there again and this time we ate a citizen. The citizen wasn't bad. But I've eaten a better one before. However, we waited a long time for our citizen but it was full. On June 8, 2024, on a Saturday, I was there after lunch and ate 2 herrings. There were also fried potatoes and salad. The portion was large and I was full. I would definitely eat it again.

Ate here on the last evening of a short trip. It seemed charming from afar, which is why we ended up stopping here. The food and the friendly service also ensured a nice end to the trip. The price was also good considering the quality of the food.

Cozy restaurant with delicious cuisine

As it was only 3,5 I was wary but it was fantastic. The waiters that attended me were excellent, even though one of them spoke no English she still made herself understood. The food was top notch. German classics plus the fact I came in Asparagus season. I ate so well. Asparagus soup - fantastic Schnitzel - fantastic. Wine and beer - fantastic Really worth the 20 min walk. Give it a go.

The schnitzel with fried potatoes and cucumber salad was top! It was incredibly tasty and the meat was tender. The service is also top - attentive and extremely friendly. The atmosphere is very nice and cozy. In the evening it gets quite crowded and loud.

Ich bin in diesem Jahr zum 3. Mal in der Speiserei gewesen und jedesmal sehr zufrieden gegangen. Der Service ist aufmerksam und freundlich, das Essen für meinen Geschmack wunderbar. Die Speisekarte sieht so aus, als ob der Besitzer sich dafür entschieden hat, all das anzubieten, was er selber gerne isst, ich kann mich immer kaum entscheiden, weil ich ca. 85 % der angebotenen Speisen gerne probieren würde, Soulfood pur! Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist gut, die Portionen nicht übersichtlich! Schön auch, dass es einige Gerichte auch als kleine Portion gibt, diese sind immer noch größer als so manches Nudelgericht beim Nobelitaliener. Saisonal aktuell auch eine Spargelkarte. Da es ein großes Restaurant ist, wird es bei guter Auslastung etwas laut, mein einziger Kritikpunkt auf hohem Niveau!

Die Speiserei möchte ein gehobenes Restaurant sein... Das einzig gehobene sind die Preise. Küche ist leider nur mittelmäßig...Die halbe krosse Ente war nichts für den großen Hunger, geschmacklich durchaus ok. Das Thunfisch Carpaccio war deutlich zu wenig für 13,- und eher geschmacksneutral. Es gab vorweg kein Brot etc. Erst auf Nachfrage ein Schälchen mit einigen, aus meiner Sicht Brotkrümeln... Auf die Frage nach etwas zusätzlicher Bratensosse , erhielt ich ein Behältnis in Größe eines Eierbechers, welcher mir mit 3,- berechnet wurde.. Es gibt in Hannover viele Restaurants mit einem deutlich besseren Preis / Leistungsverhältnis.

Unfortunately it was very loud. One could hardly converse or understand one another. The table was too small for the number of people. There was no place to eat properly. The dish is marked as vegetarian on the menu even though it wasn't vegetarian! Unfortunately, the restaurant didn't convince me.

Food was tasty and expensive. Some of the staff were like this (the young, dark-haired one was nice and friendly), the other like this (we don't call the older, lighter-haired one so friendly). Hardly any parking spaces. Lighting not all on. I thought it was already closed because it was so dark. Given the prices, you might expect it to be brighter. But as always, make up your own mind.

I have a Spanish colleague who loves traditional German cuisine. Direct hit! It was our first time there and we had everything you could wish for: beef roulades with red cabbage and farm duck from the oven. Of course many other dishes. Everyone, me with my roulade (classically good) He with the farmer's duck (crispy on the outside and flavorful on the inside) with delicious sauce - extremely satisfied! See you soon. Unfortunately, very poor acoustics/noise, so that you can inevitably hear all the conversations at the neighboring tables. Unfortunately, discreet conversations are also possible due to the tables being quite close together not possible. In addition, it is tiring to constantly hear the shrill ringtone of the restaurant telephone.

We ate here for the first time at lunchtime with 7 people today on Sunday. The restaurant was well attended. The dining area is tastefully furnished and you can relax in a very pleasant, well-kept atmosphere. The menu is not overloaded and yet offers the right dish for every taste. All the dishes we ordered tasted perfect and couldn't be faulted. The portions were also large enough for good eaters, of which I am one. Restaurants that serve down-to-earth cuisine in this attractive and tasty form, accompanied by good-tasting wines, are very rare and difficult to find in Hanover. The prices match the quality of the food and are not too high. The staff was friendly and on point. From today on, thespeiserei is on my list of good restaurants with local German cuisine in Hanover.

I'm not easily impressed at all... that was a clear A with an asterisk today! Super tasty, good portion size and you can tell when you eat that someone really wants their job! Service was also very good & friendly, a tidy atmosphere... just good overall. Highly recommended! Always my pleasure.

Unfortunately I wasn't thrilled. Neither from the food nor from the service and organization. Changes that were actually implemented in an idiot-proof manner were not taken into account. My food only tasted like oil. There were no professionals at work. And the others weren't thrilled with their food either.

The duck was super tasty, the red cabbage was world class. The dish is really highly recommended. It's a shame, as other comments have already mentioned, that every little extra request is meticulously calculated. Even a small packaged mayo (like in a snack bar) costs extra. And this despite the fact that the prices are not unreasonable, but certainly reasonable. The quality and taste of all the dishes were great. The ambience is really nice, but the background noise is very loud. The service was very very nice.

Der Service war absolut top. Currywurst war gut aber (trotz Zwiebel in der Soße) nichts besonderes. Negativ fällt die Mayonnaise aus dem Plastiktütchen auf - Imbissqualität. Es hätten auch mehr Pommes Fritten dabei sein können, zumal die im Einkauf nichts Kosten. Die winzige 0,2 Cola hatte einen stolzen Preis.

Ich war im Rahmen einer Betriebsfeier dort essen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und das Rumpsteak sehr gut gebraten. Alles in allem war ich zufrieden und komme sehr gerne wieder.

Zum dritten Mal in Folge mit der Firma die Weihnachtsfeier dort ausgerichtet. Die Qualität des Essens ist erstklassig, der Service ist bei „Full House“ nicht so auf Trapp, wie es sein sollte. Ab 10 Personen kein à la carte mehr möglich, es werden dann 5 Gerichte und eine vegetarische Option zur Auswahl gestellt. Die Vorspeisen Variation (siehe Foto) war auch sehr gut! Vielen Dank und bis zum nächsten mal. ;)

The most greasy schnitzel I ever seen. On the website they advertise bio and sounds healthy Service was good, nice ambience, but food was not tasty at all. Won't come anymore, price performance bad.

Wir waren zum Gans essen dort, haben uns gefreut ein Lokal gefunden zu haben wo man gut essen kann und sich wohl fühlt. Die Rechnung sehe ich mir zuhause an, für extra Sauce wurden uns dreimal 2,80 Euro berechnet. Wir alle werden nicht wieder in die Speiserei gehen!

Auf dem Weg zum Weihnachtsmarkt in Hannover haben wir hier Station gemacht. Ambiente und Service waren nicht zu beanstanden. Zum Essen können wir nur soviel sagen " es ist durchaus noch Luft nach oben möglich"!!!!!!! Auf der Speisekarte wird von Asiatischen Gerichten bis zur Currywurst so ziemlich alles angeboten. Tipp: manchmal ist weniger mehr!!

Wie immer sehr lecker diesmal ganz mit lecker krosser haut der rotkohl ein gedicht lieben dank an das küchenteam der service läuft immer gut danke Ambiente 4 sterne weil es einfach laut ist wenn alle plätze belegt sind und viele leute nette gespräche führen ist es nun mal so.

Das Essen war sehr lecker, die Räumlichkeiten sind sehr angenehm eingerichtet, die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Einziger Minuspunkt: eine Mutter musste ihr Baby im Stehen auf dem Damen-WC stillen, weil kein anderer Raum kurzzeitig zur Verfügung stand. Da hätte man flexibler sein können.

Sehr voll und daher sehr laut. Essen war wirklich gut. Sehr schmackhaft und auch schön angerichtet.

Sehr freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service! Das Essen ist lecker und die Portionen sind groß! Die Auswahl an verschiedenen Speisen ist toll. Eine Hälfte des Cordon Bleu hat leider sehr nach Fett geschmeckt. Die Tische vorne direkt an der Tür sind leider nicht so gemütlich, weiter hinten sitzt man sehr schön.

Das war wirklich mal wieder außergewöhnlich! Essen hervorragend, Bedienung professionell, unaufdringlich, nett und zuvorkommend. Das ist leider selten geworden...Einziger Minuspunkt: etwas unbequemes Sitzen am Hochtisch. Fühlte mich immer im Wege, wenn Bedienung vorbei musste.

Die Portionen werden kleiner, Brot & Dip gibt es nicht mehr. Bei der Lautstärke im Gastraum ist es schwierig eine Unterhaltung zu führen. Die Karte mit saisonalen Angeboten bietet was für jeden.

Speiserei is the new in place and many had told us it was the very best in Hanover. The setting is very modern and nice, the service very professional and the ingredients very good quality and fresh. My problem is the menu. It has a bit of everything: pasta, thai curry, schnitzel, etc.if I want to eat pasta I'd rather go to a good Italian restaurant. Same with the thai curry, which was anything but authentic. So it is somehow not appealing. Although I have to say the fish carpaccio was to die for. Also, the prices are very high for Hannover. I therefore cannot say that I'd recommend Speiserei.

I was impressed by the good quality of the starters and then even more with the size and finesse of my Wiener Schnitzel which I was longing to order as in the place to be. I should have also ordered the asparagus as in season but did not have a chance so a reason to come back. Good service, nice paintings on display and a relaxed atmosphere. Good for groups

Visited Speiserei for the first time. Friendly staff combined with a lodge-like dining room. Menu is great - something for everyone. My meal was good, much like Mom's cooking. Will go back.
