Wir haben zu viert gemeinsam lecker gegessen und eine emtspannte Zeit verbracht. Vielen Dank für die schöne und sehr lustige Zeit sowie das ebenfalls sehr leckere Nachtisch 🤤. Kommen bald wieder!

Das Essen im Restaurant war lecker. Leider war der ältere Herr, der uns bedient hat, sehr unprofessionell. Zuerst hat er sich darüber aufgeregt, dass wir einen Schlemmerblock benutzt haben. Anschließend war er genervt, weil wir zusätzlich zu dem Ketchup auch noch Salz haben wollten. Gastfreundschaft sieht anders aus. Aufgrund des unfreundlichen Services können wir dieses Restaurant leider nicht empfehlen.

Sind gerade mit dem Schlemmerblock hier essen und sind mit allem sehr zufrieden. Bedienungen sind super freundlich und das Essen schmeckt sehr lecker. Es gab sogar kostenlos ein kleines Stück Kuchen.

Heute war ich das erste Mal mit meiner Partnerin im "Stadt Thessaloniki" essen. Das ganze Restaurant ist wunderschön eingerichtet. Die Dame hat uns außerordentlich freundlich begrüßt und bedient. Das Essen war definitiv das beste griechische Essen, was wir jemals gegessen haben. Sonst tun wir uns immer schwer mit viel Fleisch, aber hier war es ein Genuss. Wir kommen sicher wieder. 🥳👋🏻

Kleines aber feines Griechisches Restaurant am Alten Meßplatz. Super netter Service, tolles Essen.

Wir waren heute mit den Schlemmerblock hier essen. Service ist wirklich sehr nett und zuvorkommend, Essen ist auch super. Wichtig ist, dass man nicht mit Karte bezahlen kann. Das steht leider nicht online, im Schlemmerblock oder z. B. am Eingang, dafür ziehe ich einen Stern ab, da ich finde das es heutzutage eigentlich Standard ist.

Das Essen war sehr gut – mein Respekt an den Koch. Aber der Service hat mir nicht besonders gefallen. Ich wurde von einem mürrischen, großen älteren Mann mit grauen Haaren bedient. Als ich ihm sagte, dass ich den Schlemmerblock habe, reagierte er genervt und murmelte etwas in seiner Sprache zwischen den Zähnen, was ich als beleidigend empfand. Auch ein Paar am Nebentisch hatte einen Schlemmerblock; er knallte ihnen ebenfalls die Speisekarte hin und reagierte genauso genervt, während er sie ignorierte. Die Frau war sichtlich geschockt. Meine Frage ist: Warum bieten Sie den Schlemmerblock an, wenn Sie sich darüber ärgern, dass Gäste ihn benutzen?

Essen top, Preise top, eigentlich ist alles hervorragend. Es gibt allerdings einen einzigen negativen Punkt, für den das Restaurant nach so vielen Jahren endlich eine Lösung finden sollte. Ich komme seit drei Jahren immer wieder in dieses Restaurant, und leider ist es jedes Mal dasselbe. Der ältere Herr im Service mit den grauen Haaren behandelt Gäste sehr unfreundlich. Ich weiß nicht, ob es daran liegt, dass man mit dem Schlemmerblock kommt, oder ob das einfach sein Charakter ist. Wenn man zum Beispiel höflich sein möchte und ihm den leeren Teller in die Hand geben will, sagt er in einem unfreundlichen Ton, man solle den Teller einfach stehen lassen, er hole ihn selbst ab. So ein Verhalten empfinde ich als respektlos. Außerdem reagiert er jedes Mal genervt, sobald man erwähnt, dass man den Schlemmerblock hat. Er zischt dann mit den Zähnen und wirkt sehr unhöflich. Meiner Meinung nach ist sein Verhalten gegenüber den Gästen völlig unangemessen, und ich bin es nach all den Jahren wirklich leid. Abgesehen davon ist das Essen ausgezeichnet.

Wir müssen uns an die Vorberichte leider anschließen! Es geht bereits los mit Zutritt zum Restaurant, das man mit einem lächeln begrüßt wird. Sobald man Schlemmerblock erwähnt ist dieses lächeln leider weg. Wir hatten gemischten Janis Grillteller bestellt mit Pommes. Die Pommes sind echt super wenig, die kann man mit bloßen Augen innerhalb von 10 Sekunden zählen! Das Fleisch was man bekommt ist 5 cm x 7 cm !!! Das Lammkottlet ist auch super klein. Dann hatten wir Leber mitbekommen, obwohl das garnicht auf der Karte draufstand. Nach dem gehen hatten wir immer noch Hunger, trotz das man ein Grillteller für 24 Euro verlangt für so eine Miniportion ist schon sehr unverschämt! Wir sind einfach nur sehr enttäuscht, das man sich die Berichte hier bei google nicht durchliest und sich verbessert! Wir waren das erste mal bei diesem Restaurant und auch das letzte mal!

Anscheinend bekommt hier nicht jeder ein kleines Dessert oder Ouzo; echt schade, dass manche beides bekommen und andere nicht. Das Essen war gut, aber die Portionen sind wirklich nicht so groß, wie man es von einem griechischen Restaurant gewohnt ist. Man kann nur bar bezahlen; Kartenzahlung ist nicht möglich. Warum eigentlich nicht? 🤔 Nächstes Mal gehe ich in ein anderes griechisches Restaurant; in Mannheim gibt es ja genug! Ach ja, übrigens: An einem Tisch neben der Bar sitzen etwa zehn Leute und unterhalten sich angeregt mit ihrer Familie.

Sehr leckeres und ausreichendes Essen zum erschwinglichen Preis. Sehr freundliche und herzliche Begrüßung beim betreten des Restaurants. Kann man nur weiterempfehlen.

Ein einzigartiger Laden ! Super freundlich vom älteren Herrn begrüßt, Essen kam schnell, sehr humorvoll! Es war ein richtig schöner Besuch und sehr lecker ! Hauptgerichte werden mit Salat und Pommes serviert, zum Abschluss bekommt man noch ein Stück Kuchen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder. Danke !

Der Schlemmerblock führte uns hierher. Ein Kompliment an die flotten Servicekräfte, die bei vollem Haus alles im Blick hatten. Unsere Getränke wurden relativ schnell aufgenommen und serviert, ebenso das Essen. Peperoni haben wir schon bessere gegessen, was die Soße betrifft, sie waren aber trotzdem ok. Unser Fleisch war durchweg zart, Portionen für unsere Männer etwas klein. Geschmacklich waren die Hauptgerichte von uns allen 👌 TOP

Service sehr gut ...Essen sehr gut .Wenn das Salat dressing noch selber gemacht würde wäre es perfekt....waren gestern essen dort wir gehen oft dahin aber gestern war ich schwer enttäuscht die Nr.59 Fleisch trocken und zäh Gyros wie alt bin echt enttäuscht musste nach würzen auch werden die Portionen immer kleiner kein plan was da los ist ...

Seit etlichen Jahren sind wir schon Gast bei unserem Lieblingsgriechen "Stadt Thessaloniki" in Mannheim. Von der Begrüßung bis zur Verabschiedung ist alles perfekt und das bei tollem griechischem Essen. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Essen und Service wirklich gut aber die Portionsgröße ist eine Unverschämtheit! Für 24€ bekommt man drei winzige (ca 7cm im Durchmesser) Stücke Fleisch und eine Hand voll Pommes. Wir sind im Anschluss in den Lidl nebenan gegangen und haben uns nicht etwas zu essen geholt. Sehr schade...

Ich gehe hier seit fast zwei Jahren essen und war immer zufrieden. Heute ist mir zum ersten Mal aufgefallen, wie klein die Portionen geworden sind. Für 24 Euro, die ich hier für eine winzige Portion bekommen habe, frage ich mich langsam, ob das Essen den Preis überhaupt noch wert ist.

Wir waren heute seit langer Zeit mal wieder hier essen. Da wir nicht viel Zeit hatten, habe ich das Essen vorbestellt, was super geklappt hat. Es war ab 17:00 Öffnungszeit schon sehr gut besucht. Service war super lieb, herzlich und schnell. Das Essen kam richtig schnell und war mega lecker. Das Fleisch ein Traum, so zart! Pommes sehr lecker und der Reis erfreulicherweise ohne die typische Tomatensoße. Der Beilagensalat war frisch und lecker, so wie man es sich beim Griechen wünscht. Zum Abschluss gibt's ein kleines Stück Coccos-Zucker-Kuchen (wie ich ihn nenne) aufs Haus. Ambiente ist top, wirkt elegant und doch gemütlich. Preis-Leistung ist in Ordnung, Schlemmerblock war auch kein Problem. Gerne wieder, vielen Dank, dass alles so super geklappt hat und so lecker war!

Mein Freund und ich sind hier zum 2x Essen gewesen. Das Essen war jedesmal hervorragend. Die Bedienung ist aufmerksam und das Ambiente liebevoll eingerichtet. Es gibt nichts was zu bemängeln wäre. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Was soll ich sagen, ausser wir waren immer rundum zufrieden. Wer dort gegessen und Jani kennengelernt hat, kommt wieder wie ein Bumerang

We spontaneously went there on Sunday using our discount voucher booklet and received incredibly friendly service. The restaurant was very busy and the food was excellent! Everything was super quick… a really welcoming, family atmosphere. We'll be back soon!

Today was our first time using the Schlemmerblock voucher. But we definitely won't be going there again. Honestly, what does Greek food have to do with gravy? No garnish on the plate, no tzatziki, nothing. And the salad? No olives, not even a single onion. I can make that at home; there's no need to go to a Greek restaurant. A complete disappointment for us.

We ate there today using the Schlemmerblock (a discount voucher booklet). The food is incredibly delicious. The portions are generous and the prices are really good. The Schlemmerblock was accepted without any problems. My husband was so impressed that we'll definitely be back. And he's usually very critical! :D A small but excellent restaurant.

NEVER AGAIN We discovered this restaurant as part of the Schlemmerblock (a German restaurant). We thought the food was good and the service was friendly. So we wanted to invite our friends there for dinner today. We reserved a table, bought a public transport ticket, and went there with our friends. When we arrived on time, there was no room reserved for us, even though the reservation had been confirmed in writing. We were turned away quite rudely with the words, "Two tables for four will be free soon." One of us waited inside, while the other three went outside. After at least 15 minutes, there was still no table for us. Others had also reserved and didn't get a table. There wasn't even an apology. They didn't care at all. Truly a disgrace. We've never been treated like this before. And that even though we didn't have a Schlemmerblock (a German restaurant) and wanted to pay normally. We certainly won't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We were there for the first time with the Schlemmerblock (snack bar). A standard Greek restaurant like everywhere else in Germany, with the standard dishes. Nothing special. The service definitely has room for improvement. Despite calling several times (both when ordering and paying), the waiter didn't come. However, the table was already cleared, even though half the people were still eating. I wouldn't go back.

We were outside at first, but then went inside because it was getting a bit chilly. The atmosphere inside was pleasant and completely packed on a Friday evening. The food and service were very good. It tasted delicious.

Essen ist sehr gut; Lammfilet Metaxa : sehr gut. Lammfilet Knoblauch: dito. Weinpreise sind auch okay. Wasser 0,75 l für € 5,90. Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist in Ordnung. Obwohl wir kurz vor 23:00 h ankamen, wurden wir noch freundlich aufgenommen. Das griechische Ambiente ist angenehm .Der Service war freundlich und perfekt. Jederzeit wieder.

The restaurant has the cozy decor that is usually the case with Greek restaurants. The welcome is warm and the friendly service was quick at the table. The starter and the main courses come to the table at a well-timed time. Everything that was ordered was very tasty and well portioned. The price-performance ratio is right here. Most guests seem to be repeat customers. The parking situation here is rather difficult and it is not so easy for non-locals to find a parking space. I can still recommend the restaurant, good food, super nice staff and reasonable prices, what more could you want?

Were here for the first time today! We were warmly welcomed, the service was friendly and quick! The cuisine is good, traditional and well seasoned! Had a beefsteaki filled with feta cheese and baked with Metaxa sauce and cheese!

Food was okay but the prices are not very cheap for what was offered or for the portion size. Service was very friendly and we didn't have to wait long for the food. The furnishings were a bit old fashioned but it was still clean and comfortable. Unfortunately there is little parking space in front of the restaurant. Open kitchen so you can see how the food is prepared. We grilled on a real grill, which we really liked.

Absolutely recommended. Despite the short notice, we were able to get a table and despite the restaurant being at full capacity, the service and the boss were extremely friendly. The food also came very quickly despite all the tables being occupied and was delicious! We were given 2 small pieces of Greek cake for dessert and my wife was given a stuffed bear to say goodbye.

the service is disgusting, yesterday was celebrating a friend's birthday, the menu was brought after 30 minutes after we sat down at the table. The drinks were brought after 1.20 hours. The salad before the meal was only brought after our comment. Everything was brought for a very long time, although other people who came much later brought everything very quickly, ordered a second glass of wine, an hour later I never received it. Depending on which table you sit at, it blows like pike soup from the door or the window. The door can hardly be closed because the grill's extractor creates a strong negative pressure. The ventilation concept urgently needs to be addressed here. Food perfect!

Not recommended with the gourmet block

Today was the last time I was there, although I had eaten in this restaurant several times before. The older gentleman who served us wasn't happy when I said that we wanted to use Schlemmerblock for the first time today. Afterwards, when we wanted to place the order, he told us that there was no more lamb. And there is no longer any beef on the menu. When I asked him if it was because of Schlemmerblock and that we could order it without Schlemmerblock he said no, it's too crowded here and there's no lamb. Then I said it was clear, I didn't want to eat anything here and I'd never come back. It's a real shame even though I really enjoyed being here.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant because the food had no taste at all from the main course to the dessert. Location is nicely done chairs are very hard to sit on. Service staff very polite and attentive.

Unfortunately I am very disappointed with this restaurant. Ordered salad without carrots, then served with carrots. Exchanged without even saying sorry, but the 2nd plate still had a bit of carrot in it... Lettuce leaves brown in several places and getting darker. Fries and gyro meat are not seasoned, and the meat is either not soft enough or sometimes black because it has already been burned. All this for 21€ (including the smoke inhalation attempt)... I would have expected more from the "Greeks" than the typical German "quality" in terms of service and food. Thanks, but I know it differently/better. We won't see each other anymore.
